Meta Troopers' base, meeting room, 7:00 A.M.
Shizuku taps her foot as she waited for Fiona and Kazuma to come back. Reika just comes back with the information they need about the base so they can rescue the group that has been captured. Now, they need to wait for Fiona and Kazuma to come back to see if Joseph and Samin have stopped arguing. Shizuku usually didn't mind waiting as she is a patient, however, this is a different matter than usual. Her friends have been captured and they know next to nothing about what the Nether is doing to them. The kunoichi looks around the room to see the group that Fiona and Kazuma picked out. Marinette is talking to Ichika, Itsuki, Nino, and Yotsuba. The sisters looked paler than usual and is worried about Miku and Marinette is trying her best to keep them calm even though she is panicking herself. Reika is looking at the map she created about the base with an intense look on her face. Shizuku wanted to catch up with her, but Reika seems stressed and pissed and Shizuku didn't want to bother her so she just left her alone. Johnny is sipping some of his beer and just staying still. He shows not to show it, but Shizuku could tell that worry about the group and wanted to storm the base himself. He manages to restrain himself from doing it as he knows the group doesn't want him to do it.
Raizo is mediating. She is a ninja herself, she could never get a read of Raizo. She didn't know if he was sad, angry, disappointed, or even cares about the group getting captured. But, he is here so he must somewhat care. Hit-Girl is sharpening her knives while practicing throwing them. She isn't showing it, but Shizuku can tell she is hurt that the group is captured as she was fond of all of them. Captain Underpants is offering to Reika who quickly accepts and eats them. She thanked him and went back to looking at the map. Shizuku slightly smiles at the scene. She knows that Reika hasn't eaten much ever since she takes it upon herself to figure out the layout at the base. She was glad that Captain Underpants managed to get her to eat as the kunoichi started to get worried about Reika.
The door opens and everyone turned to see Kazuma and Fiona walking into the room.
"Are they still arguing?" Shizuku asked.
Kazuma nods, "They are and I don't think they are going stop arguing anytime soon," Everyone collectively sighs at this. This is starting to get ridiculous now. Sure, they understand that the two are very different from each other, but they are grown-ass men and are leaders of the team. They should be setting an example for them and should be worried about the important problems.
"Well, it seems we are going have to do this on our own," Marinette said, she was unsure about going on this mission without Joseph and Samin's permission. That has changed now given that the two aren't going to stop arguing anytime soon.
"It's for the best anyway," Ichika said as everyone turned to look at her, "We all know that they weren't going to let us go. It's better they don't know."
"I agreed with her," Johnny agreed, "And what are waiting for? I say we go now and hit them hard. They won't see it coming."
"As much I like that idea, we going have to do this quietly if we want to come back and we need to plan this out," Hit-Girl said, Johnny just huffs and takes a sip of his beer.
"What is the base looking like Reika? Any weak points?" Fiona asked as she crosses her arms.
"From I gather, the base is gonna be hard to invade," Reika said she looks at the map with such focus and making sure she isn't missing a single detail, "The base is well made and any weak spots I find is heavily guarded."
"So we have to play smart about this?" Captain Underpants asks.
Reika nods, "Correct. We can't go in guns blazing. We need a plan,"
"This mission is already difficult and we haven't even it started it," Johnny said with a sigh.
"I know I know," Reika said, "But it wouldn't be us if the mission wasn't difficult."
"True," Ichika said.
"Are y'all sure if this is a good idea?" Marinette asked, everyone, turns to look at her, "Don't get me wrong, I would love to see them again, but we'll be going against Joseph and Samin's orders and if we do this there no be telling what Samin's punishment will be against us."
Everyone shudders at that thought. They all know how much of a drill sergeant Samin can be at times and his punishments are harsh. However, they are willing to deal with his punishment. Their teammates are captured and that is enough reason to disobey Joseph and Samin. Consequences are damned.
"We know it is not the best idea," Raizo said, "But we know who we are dealing with here. We can deal with whatever punishment Samin throws at us. It'll be worth it at the end of the day."
"He right," Yotsuba said, "Listen it's fine if you are having second thoughts about this operation. It's okay if you want to back out, nobody will blame you."
"No, I'm with all of you," Marinette said, "Just making sure we all are sure about this operation."
"We are," Shizuku said as everyone nodded in agreement, "There is one thing that is bothering me."
"And what is that?" Kazuma asked.
"What about the contact that Joseph send on the mission? I'm blanking on His name," Shizuku taps her finger on her chin as she tries to remember His name.
"Jay-Jay? What about Him?" Raizo asked.
"Well, Joseph did say He was His most trusted contact and Joseph has a high opinion about Him. What happens if He already rescued the group and is on their way here?" Shizuku asked.
Nino snorts, "Joseph may have a high opinion, but his contact is invading the base of the Nether and we all heard the stories of how brutal and technologically advanced they are. There is no way a single Man can invade the base by Himself and come out alive. We have to do it ourselves,"
Shizuku nods, "I see. What time do we leave?"
"11:25 A.M. And make sure you bring your best weapons this is a suicide mission," Fiona said, everyone nodded and left the room.
Deep Swamp, 7:33 A.M.
Claudia dodge the Ragdoll Lizard swipe as Miku, Chizuru, Jay-Jay, and Niko fired their guns at the reptile. Ragdoll lizard roars in anger as the bullets are hurting him. Bucum is driving the motorboat as fast as he can, swerving and dodging any obstacles that are in his way.
"This reptile is surprisingly fast for its size!" Chizuru shouted as she dodges a spike from the Ragdoll Lizard.
"Can you go any faster, Bucum?!" Miku yelled while she reloaded her gun.
"I'm going as I can!" Bucum yelled in irritation. He made a sharp turn, making almost everyone fall to the floor and Niko almost fall out of the boat, but Jay-Jay caught him in time. The ragdoll lizard roars and uses its tail to grab Jay-Jay and drag Him into the water.
"Jay-Jay!" Claudia jumps to her feet with the rest and they run to the end of the boat.
"Stop the boat Bucum!" Chizuru shouted. Bucum brings the boat to a halt and turns to look at the group.
"What happened?" Bucum asked with worry in his tone.
"That overgrown reptile takes Jay-Jay," Miku said with a frown, "I'm going after them."
"I'm going too," Claudia said as she turns to look at Bucum, Niko, and Chizuru, "I want you three to stand watch while we are gone. I don't want the Nether to know we are here."
"Got it," Niko said with a nod.
"Be safe," Chizuru said.
Claudia and Miku gave a light smile to them before they jump into the water.
The ragdoll lizard is rushing towards the bottom of the river at hypersonic speeds. It was hoping it can drown Jay-Jay. The ragdoll lizard feels that Jay-Jay is the alpha of their species and the ragdoll lizard must kill Jay-Jay to prove that it is top of their species. Sadly for him, Jay-Jay broke out of his grip with ease. The ragdoll notices this and growls in anger before he can massive spikes and shots at Jay-Jay. Jay-Jay dodges the spikes and charges toward the reptile. The ragdoll lizard lets out its claws and covers his claws in venom. The ragdoll lizard swings at Jay-Jay, and Jay-Jay ducks under the swing and kicks the lizard in the face. Sending the ragdoll lizard to the river's floor. The ragdoll lizard roars in fury and charges at Jay-Jay. The ragdoll lizard opens its mouth and spits outs an acidic spit. Jay-Jay took the attack head-on causing His clothes to burn apart. The ragdoll lizard charges at Jay-Jay and opens its mouth, it tried to chomp Jay-Jay down, but Jay-Jay dodges it and He sends a garage of punches toward the ragdoll lizard. The ragdoll lizard covers itself in spikes to protect himself, but it didn't work as Jay-Jay got through his shield and the attacks landed on the reptile. The ragdoll lizard hissed in pain and the attacks push the reptile further down to the river's floor. Sensing that it ain't gonna win the fight and is running out of stamina. The ragdoll lizard lets out a loud screech and swims toward the surface at massively hypersonic speeds.
'It won't be bothering anyone time soon,' Jay-Jay thought, 'Mission accomplished. Time to head back.' Jay-Jay swims towards the surface.
With Chizuru, Bucum, and Niko.
The three are waiting for Claudia and Miku to come back.
The three are on guard in case if the Nether ambushes them or another unexpected beast attacks them.
"It has been five minutes ever since they left," Bucum said with concern while he looks at his watch, "I'm starting to get worried."
"I am too," Niko said.
"I'm gonna go look for them," Chizuru said, she started walking towards the river, but Niko put his hand on her shoulder to stop her, "Let go of me Niko."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that," Niko said. Chizuru looks at him with a frown, "Look, I wanna go after them too, but we already lost Jay-Jay and we don't know what happen with Claudia and Miku. This mission has been a disaster and we can't lose any more people on this mission. Listen, our ride will be here and we can look for Claudia and Miku on there."
Before Chizuru could respond, the three hears someone coming up to the surface and their heads rapidly turns to see Claudia and Miku breathing hard to get as much oxygen as they can.
"You alright!" Chizuru said with relief in her tone
Bucum looks confused, "Where Jay-Jay?"
"We couldn't find Him," Claudia said between her breaths, "I'm going back down there."
Claudia was about head back down but Miku stops her, "We don't need to do that,"
Claudia flares, "Why shouldn't we?! He saved us, it's the least we can do!"
"I understand where you coming from Claudia, but it can take us years to explore the whole river! We need to get back to base and explain the situation to Joseph. He'll understand and help us with whatever we need as he won't hate to lose his most trusted contact. We don't have the equipment to search for Him now," Miku said.
Claudia thought about what she said and figured she is right.
"You're right, Miku. I'm sorry for raising my voice," Claudia said in an apologetic tone.
"It's fine. I understand your anger," Miku said.
Just then, the five of them hears a whizzing noise and they looked up to see a helicopter descending on them. The doors opened and a ladder was let down.
"It's so good to see y'all again!" Rui shouted as she sticks her head out of the helicopter to look at them with Maria beside her.
"Thank God you five are all in one piece," Maria said in a happy tone, "Missed us?"
"We did," Bucum said with a smile, "Nothing too crazy happened while we were gone?"
"Nah, just the usual," Rui said, "Although, Joseph and Samin have been arguing more."
"I kinda figured that," Chizuru said.
"Those two always argued. They just act like an old married couple," Niko remarked.
"Yeah," Maria said, "Enough about that, let's hurry up and get out of here. They are dying to see all of you." Bucum, Niko, and Chizuru start to climb the ladder. Miku and Claudia swim towards the boat and climb abroad. They took one last look at the river before they come back to it.
"We'll come back for You, Jay-Jay," Claudia said.
"And I think Joseph will have our heads if we didn't," Miku said with Claudia nodding in agreement. Before the two could climb the ladder, they heard the ragdoll lizard comes up to the surface and hears it roar. The group aims their guns at it in case it tries anything.
"Holy shit! That a big ass lizard!" Bone shouted in awe of the size of the ragdoll lizard.
"It fasts for its size! So be careful!" Chizuru said.
To their surprise, the ragdoll lizard just growls and swims away.
"...That was weird," Niko said as everyone lowers their weapons and holster them. Jay-Jay comes to the surface and climbs on the boat. Chizuru, Bucum, Miku, Niko, and Claudia collectively let a sigh of relief.
"You're alive!" Miku said excitedly.
"Impressive. You managed to take that thing on alone," Claudia said in an impressed tone.
"And with no injuries on You," Bucum said awed that someone managed to take on that overgrown reptile.
"So this is Jay-Jay that Joseph has been talking about?" Rui asked.
"Yes, it is. He managed to free us from the Nether single handily," Niko said.
"That so huh?" Maria said as she look at Jay-Jay up and down, "I can see why Joseph pick Him for this mission."
'And He a hunk too,' Rui thought as she stares at Jay-Jay.
Claudia, Miku, and Jay-Jay climb up the ladder and enter the helicopter.
"That everyone Bone. Let's head back to base," Maria said.
Bone nods and turns the helicopter to the left to head back to their base.
Meta Troopers' base, living room, 11:25 A.M.
Raizo peeks out of the corner to see if Joseph and Samin are still arguing. To no one surprise, they still are.
"Are they still arguing?" Itsuki whispered.
Raizo turns his to the group and shakes his head 'no',
"Good, let's get out of here before they notice us," Captain Underpants whispered.
The group quietly moved towards the door. Hoping Samin and Joseph don't notice them.
"I'm telling you I ain't that bad at remembering stuff! You don't need a tape recorder to help remember things!" Joseph shouted at Samin as he paces around Samin. He is offended that he and the Meta Troopers think they need a tape recorder to help him remember things.
Samin rubs his temples in frustration, "Look, this argument is getting us nowhere. Plus, it is a stupid thing to argue about. Let's stop acting like children and squash this as it has been going for far too long," Joseph looks at him and sighs. This is a stupid thing to argue about and they have more important matters to tend to, "Besides, we all know it is true. So this argument has already settled before it started."
Joseph was about to retort back, but he notices the group about to open the door, "Hey! Where the hell is y'all going?!"
Samin looks behind him and saw the group is all wearing tactical gear and have their respective weapons, "Going on a mission? All of you haven't consulted us which is a surprise. What mission are y'all taking?"
Crap. They have been caught and they know they are in a heap of trouble if they tell the truth. Then again, they are in trouble if they lied about where they are going. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
"We are rescuing our friends from the Nether," Reika confessed. The group looks at her like she lost her damn mind.
Joseph is shocked and almost passes out, but he managed to stop himself from doing so. While Samin is furious and walked toward the group.
"Like the hell y'all is!" Samin shouted in anger, and the group slightly back away from Samin, "Now, I and Joseph have made it clear that we forbid anyone going to rescue them. Which is why we send Joseph's most trusted contact to rescue them."
"We understand that, but we can't depend on one Man to rescue them," Johnny said.
"We've faced the Nether before and we all remember how hard it was to beat them. And you think one Guy will be able to them by Himself?!" Nino said.
"It was the best-case scenario for everyone!" Joseph shouted, shocking everyone because he barely raised his voice at them, "Now, we all know the consequences if we set any one of our members to go rescue them! It will lead to war! Yet, all of you still wanna do this!"
"They are our friends! We just can't leave them behind!" Shizuku said,
"I understand that. But, we can't afford a war. I already lost enough people in a war and I can't lose y'all either," Joseph said as tears threatened to fall out of his eyes.
Kazuma looks at Joseph with sympathy, "We didn't know you feel that way,"
"However, I can't let my sister be killed by those bastards," Ichika said, "She is my sister and I will not rest until she is rescued." Her sister nodded in agreement.
"I see," Samin said, "Since I can't stop you, then go ahead and rescue them. If a war does break out, don't say we didn't warn you."
The door slams open and everyone turns to see the group walking into the base.
"We are back!" Bucum said.
"Missed us?" Claudia said with a smirk.
"Oh my God! Y'all alright!" Yotsuba said as she and her sisters pulled Miku into a hug who smiles and returned the hug.
"It's good to see you are alright," Fiona said as she pulled Chizuru into a hug and smiled and returned it.
Reika crosses her arms, "It's good to say you are alright, but get captured like that again I will kill you,"
Claudia shakes her head, "Never change Reika,"
Bucum daped up Kazuma.
"Well, it good to have y'all back," Samin said as he walked to the group. He smells something foul and pinches his nose, "Eugh. Where is that smell coming from?"
The group smells themselves and jerked their head back in disgust.
"That would be us," Niko said, "I'll be in the shower if all of you need me." Niko walked to the bathrooms with the rest of the group following him.
"Alright. Report back to me once y'all are finished," Samin said as he turns attention to Jay-Jay, "As for You, I'm impressed that You bring them back safe and sound. Great work."
"Told you He will be able to do it," Joseph said with a smug grin.
Samin rolled his eyes, "Anyway, how about You join us, Jay-Jay? We can use someone like You," Samin offered.
The group and Joseph are surprised at this. Samin never offers anyone that is associated with Joseph to join Meta Troopers no matter how useful they are. Joseph looked at Samin with a puzzled expression. He knows he talks about Jay-Jay in high praise about how He is in battle and how He can bring the morale no matter the situation, but Samin never seems interested in Jay-Jay abilities and skills as he brushes them off as exaggerated stories Joseph love to tell and Joseph doesn't have the best memory so that doesn't help. Samin couldn't believe it himself, but the situation is dire. Old organizations and problematic ancient civilizations are rising back up again and Meta Troopers doesn't have enough firepower to fight back. Samin is willing to take a chance about this and take Jay-Jay in. He might be associated with Joseph and Joseph doesn't work with the best people, but he has a good feeling about Jay-Jay.
"I'm in," Jay-Jay said causing Samin to let out a small smile.
"You won't regret this," Samin said as he grabs Jay-Jay's hand and shakes it, "You won't regret this."
'Well, this surprising,' Joseph thought as he look at Jay-Jay and Samin with a curious expression, 'Things are about to get more interesting around here.'
"I have a mission for you," Samin said.
"Already have a mission for the newbie?" Hit-Girl asked.
"Can't say I'm surprised," Shizuku said.
Samin ignored them and take out a small device with a white button. He pressed the button and it shows a planet that is mostly covered in snow, "Your mission will take place on a planet called 'Eria'. Your mission is to destroy the train that is owned by Tribe of Horror. The train is carrying superweapons of all kinds. Make sure to secure them and bring them to a safe location. I will give You that location once You confirmed the mission is done. You will not be doing this alone, Your group will be waiting in the hanger. Make sure to keep them safe,"
"Got it," Jay-Jay said, He leaves the living room and head towards the hanger.'
Hanger, 11:50 A.M.
The group is getting their spaceship ready.
"Okay, the fuel is good. Vampirella, how is our equipment?" Farasha asked.
"It is secure," Vampirella said.
Farasha smiles, "Good. Komi, how the comms?"
Komi gives a thumbs up.
"Good, Popeye, is our ship ready for takeoff?"
"This girl is good and ready!" Popeye said.
Farasha nods and looks at who is there. Isaac Clarke, Belladonna Mordelhyde, and Ben Barber are here and waiting for takeoff. The only here who isn't here is William Smith.
Farasha sighs, 'He's late again. I swear if he doesn't take this mission seriously anytime soon. I'm kicking his ass,'
Well, speak of the devil, Will is running towards the spaceship.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Will shouted as he try to catch his breath.
Farasha puts her hands on her hips and gives Will a stern look, "You're late. I hope you have a good explanation for this,"
"Oh, you see babe I was combing my hair to look for the mission. It looks fly, doesn't it?" Will said as he slides his fingers through his hair.
"It took you that long to comb your hair?" Farasha asked.
"Well honey, looking good takes time and patience," Will said.
Farasha just shakes her head at her boyfriend.
The two hear someone slides the door open. The two turn and saw Jay-Jay walks into the hanger.
Jay-Jay saw Farasha and Will looking at Him and walked towards them.
"Hello, the name is Jayvon Jayson, but call me anything you want," Jay-Jay said with a slight bow, "I'm your new teammate and I was selected to help."
"Nice to meet You," Farasha said with a slight bow, "I'm Farasha Awar Crusch, the leader of this operation, and this is Will. "
"Yo, what up my brother," Will said as he daped up Jay-Jay, "I heard You real cool, we should kick it sometime."
"Looking forward to it," Jay-Jay said.
"Let me introduce You to the rest of the team," Farasha walks into the spaceship with Jay-Jay and Will following suit. They enter the spaceship and everyone turns to look at them. "We have a new member and He will be helping on this mission." Faradha takes Him to Komi, "Jayvon Jayson meet Komi. She will be a scout for this mission. Say hi Komi." Komi meekly waves and Jay-Jay waves back. "She doesn't speak much."
"I see," Jay-Jay said.
Farasha takes Him to Popeye, "This is Popeye, and he is our pilot for this mission," Popeye looks Jay-Jay in the eye, "Hmm. I imagine You will be taller," Popeye said, disappointed that Jay-Jay is not tall as he thought he be.
"I got that a lot," Jay-Jay said with a smile.
"Ignore him," Farasha said she points to Isaac, "This is Isaac." Isaac gets up and shakes His hand, "It's nice to meet You. I heard good things about You. I hope it is true." Jay-Jay smiles and slightly nods.
"This is Belladonna," Farasha said. Belladonna eyed Him up and down impressed with His physique, "Joseph regards You as the finest fighter he has ever saw. Care for a sparring session once we finish with this mission?"
"Sure. Just gave Me the word," Jay-Jay answered.
"And finally meet Ben," Farasha said, Ben got up from his seat and daped up Jay-Jay, "Yo! I've been wanting to meet You. Man, I bet You some crazy stories about Joseph,"
"I do, but there will have to wait," Jay-Jay said.
"Now, that done, we can leave now. Everyone take your seats and strap in," Farasha ordered. Jay-Jay and Will take their seats and put their seatbelts on. Farasha walked towards the cockpit and sat next to Popeye and put on her seatbelt. Seeing that everyone is strapped in, Popeye starts the spaceship and they takeoff to Eria.
