In KRS/KRGL a lot of loose ends were tied up in the end. However, there is one question that was never answered. One issue never explored. What about Hana Nekozawa's family? Well, this short story will resolve that issue, maybe bring some closure. Hopefully, it goes off without problems.

HANA'S WEB

Hana Nekozawa, formerly known as #07 of the NUMBERS, and also known as Kamen Rider Arachnea was riding a train towards Osaka. She was in her seat and watching the scenery pass her by as she gazed out the window. So much time had passed since she last set foot in Osaka but now it was time for her to return to her hometown.

GIN-SHOCKER had met its end and after the celebration, the NEO-NUMBERS were trying to figure out what to do with their lives. They were employed with ARMOR but even they needed some form of normalcy in their lives. Hana just wanted to find some closure.

"Hana-chan, I got us some drinks from the refreshments car," Michiru said as she went and sat down next to her best friend. "They had tea." She handed Hana a can of the beverage.

"Thank you," Hana accepted gratefully as she popped the can open and drank her tea.

"So, what will we find when we get there?" Michiru asked. "Maybe your family?"

"Maybe," Hana replied.

"You know, it's kinda weird that you never once talked about your family. Why's that?" Michiru asked her long-time friend.

"That...is a secret," Hana winked. Michiru puffed up her cheeks and pouted. "Don't worry. It won't be long now."

"But it's been hours~!" Michiru whined.

"Just be patient," Hana insisted. "We'll get there soon enough."

"I bet if we took one of ARMOR's time trains we could reach there in no time flat," mumbled Michiru. Hana sweat-dropped. Michiru just wasn't the patient kind.

After a few more hours, the train finally stopped at the station in Osaka. Both girls stepped out and Hana smiled as she regarded the station. Just arriving in Osaka gave her a sense of nostalgia. It had been so long, so many years since she had set foot in Osaka. However, she was not here for sightseeing. She was here to see her home.

"Come on, Michiru," Hana prompted. "My home's not too far from here."

"OK, Hana-chan!" Michiru saluted as she skipped alongside her best friend. "So, where is your home?"

"It's a village hidden in the mountains, very far from civilisation," Hana told her. "However, I still needed to get to school so my parents put me in a boarding school in the city. I was allowed to go back home during the weekends and holidays."

"What's your home like?" Michiru asked.

"Just be patient," Hana urged. "Just be a little more patient."

Hana and Michiru rode a cab which took them to the mountain. They paid the driver and told him they would walk the rest of the way. For some reason the driver was in a hurry as he drove off and left the girls at the foot of the mountain.

"He looks like he'd just seen a ghost," Michiru frowned. Hana, however, knew there was something going on but wasn't telling Michiru. Hana then led the way and the Mantis Cyborg followed. They walked up the mountain, trekking through the forest. Michiru took the time to admire the natural beauty while Hana was quiet. Hana could sense that she was getting closer and closer and finally they were there. Michiru was excited to see Hana's home but then her smile instantly vanished.

"Here it is, my hometown," Hana stated and Michiru was speechless. She expected to see a village full of life. However, what she came across was the remains of a village. It looked like it had been on fire judging from the damage and Hana could only stare at it with a hardened, pain-filled gaze. "Or it used to be."

"Hana-chan...what happened?" Michiru asked.

"Phobist happened," Hana began. "I never told you this, did I? Years ago, back when we were in GIN-SHOCKER, Phobist found out about my village and my family. My village was secretly a hidden ninja village. My whole family was made up of ninja."

"That would explain some of your skills," Michiru concluded.

"We start training as soon as we could walk. By the time I was six years old, I was one of the best of the young kunoichi. I was a prodigy," Hana told her. "Phobist recognized my talent and kidnapped me. He knew, however, that my family would track me down. So, he sent Kaijin and GS-Troopers to the village to burn it to the ground." Hana's fists were clenched as she screwed her eyes shut, trying to fight the tears. "The smoke that arose from the village attracted attention and firefighters were dispatched. However, by the time they arrived, it was already too late."

"Phobist had your entire village wiped out," Michiru finished.

"Men, women, and children. He slaughtered them all, including my family," Hana continued as she continued to walk and arrive at what remained of her family home. "Phobist showed me the video of how he had my entire village destroyed. He wanted me to fall into despair, to break me so that he could mold me into his weapon. That was the day I lost my family." Michiru wrapped her arms around Hana. "Michiru?"

"You have family," Michiru corrected. "You have us, remember?"

Hana blinked. She wasn't completely alone anymore. She did have family. Her friends and her nakama were her family now.

"Can we stay a bit longer?" Hana requested. "There's something I need to do."

Hana and Michiru planted a huge stone in the middle of the village square. Hana couldn't remember the names of all the villagers. However, she still remembered the name of the village: "Kurokage". She inscribed the name of the village on the stone and then knelt down in front of it with Michiru as they both offered prayers for the souls of the villagers, hoping that they were in peace. Hana was the last of the Kurokage Ninja and would carry on their legacy. She was a thread of the web which was the village. Soon, she would spin a web of her own to honor their memory.

"Let's go, Michiru," Hana prompted.

"Are you OK?" Michiru asked her best friend.

"I will be," Hana replied. "I just needed some closure."
