"Now, reading tea leaves is far more complicated than reading someone's fortune in the glass spheres." The professor continued, as if nothing happened; proceeding to give us tea pots and tea cups.

Everyone groaned as they smelled the tea, I almost smirked as I downed my tea in two large gulps. Bellatrix looked down at the tea, looking completely disgusted.

Cissy and I watched as she attempted to drink the gross contraption as she almost spit it out on the table and on top of us. We started laughing uncontrollably as she scowled down at the cup as if it were a Dementor waiting to suck her up.

"Has everybody finished drinking their tea?" The professor asked.

To which was replied with groans and moans from different parts of the room.

"Wonderful. Now, you may all begin by taking your cups and looking down at them." She instructed.

I picked my cup up and considered it, almost dropping the cup. I felt the blood drain from my face as I saw a cross, a club and a snake. I quickly took the spoon and moved it around so it represented something else. I watched as the professor checked each cup in the room. When she glanced into mine, there was already an apple and acorn and a cross in it.

When class finished I stood and left without another word to anyone. I made it to the next class which happened to be Defense Against the Dark Arts. I walked into the room, and quickly sat down in the right side near the back, trying to control the headache that was already beginning to feel as if I had wild pixies pounding inside my head. I felt myself begin to lose any grasp of control I had on any of my emotions, once more.

I felt when someone took the seat next to mine. I could feel my powers as they began to run amuck. I could feel as a knot began to form in the pit of my stomach as I felt my eyes being to cloud with black spots and become distorted. My head dropped in concentration as I felt sweat bedding on the back of my neck and above my eye brows.

"Annie, a-are you alright? Your hair! It's turned green, blue, red, gold and silver in different sections of your head!" Bella whispered surprised, as she sat down next to me.

I shook my head in response, suddenly becoming speechless; my chest feeling heavy, as if a massive weight was on top, pressing down every time I breathed in. I felt as someone slipped their hand into mine, winding their fingers into mine and squeezing them slightly. Tom.

'Anna, relax, I can feel everything you are feeling. Your emotions are getting out of control. Breathe, focus on me. Come on. Do it.' He thought, with a firm edge.

I nodded my head once, and inhaled as I tried to get focus on locking to box I stored my emotions once more, feeling my energy begin to wain once more, I breathed in and tried to relax as I heard glass shatter from the window, any piece of glass that the room contained was left in bits on the ground.

When I opened my eyes, Bellatrix and Tom were the only ones in the room. Aside from Professor Merrythought. I felt as heat began pouring out of my nose and my head began to spin.

"Professor, would it be alright if I escorted Anna to the hospital wing? She's feeling ill." Tom said, as he grabbed me and helped me walk out of the room.

"I am fine, I just ate a bit too lightly this morning, I am probably just hungry." I said, stopping in my tracks, making Tom crash into me.

He rolled his eyes at me, before he proceeded to practically drag me to the infirmary.

I sat down during lunch, and ate some chicken soup, a half-grilled cheese sandwich and a fruit salad. When I was done, I realized all the group staring at me, concerned.

"Do I have something on my face?" I asked them, confused.

"No, not on your face, but your hair now has strips of royal blue, crimson red, emerald green, and two flicks of silver and gold. Would you care to elaborate as to why that is?" Rodolphus asked, putting a hand under his chin as he continued to stare at me as if I was the most fascinating thing in the room.

"Yes, that happens on certain occasions, it'll be back to normal tomorrow." I said, ignoring every else's expressions.

When I realized they weren't going to stop staring, I rolled my eyes in annoyance, before I flicked my wrist towards them, smiling angelically as they stiffened when my curse hit them.

"Have fun in your classes the rest of the day." I said. "Oh, and by the way, Riddle, whatever you were thinking of doing. Don't. I already know about it. You won't like what I'll do if you do." I said smiling in response, at the his confused expression on his face.

After leaving the Great Hall, I went back to the common room, and into my room, in an attempt to get some rest before the next class which would be starting in about an hour. I was tired, so much so that I didn't even realize I fell into a deep sleep, until I woke up in a pitch-black room.

The door to my room slammed open, hitting the back wall so hard, the torches on the wall shook a little bit. I turned to see who had open my room like that, to find Bellatrix, Cissy, and Dromeda there, standing with worried expressions plastered on their faces.

"Oh, thank Merlin, you're alright. We got worried when you missed Herbology." Cissy said, walking towards me, slowly.

"What do you mean I missed my herbology lesson? That can't be right, it's only- oh, crap I missed Herbology and Arithmancy?!" I squeaked hoping off the bed.

"Now why in, Merlin's beard, are you taking classes you don't need?" Dromeda asked, raising an eyebrow in my direction.

"Divination, is something I do need, for something else, any way. I study it because it helps me understand somethings things." I explained.

"Why are Tom and the other guys also taking the class then?" She asked, suspiciously.

"I don't know, I guess they have their reasons just like we have ours." I said, feeling as something hot exited my nose.

I quickly pinched the bridge of my nose, and tilted my head back slightly. Bellatrix quickly gave me a piece of cloth, and helped me stopped the bleeding.

"You're still pale from earlier, Sophia, come on, we need to get some more food into your stomach. It looks as if someone performed the Cruciatus Curse on you. You're pale, your eyes look a bit sunken in, and your hair is still sporting the same colors that appeared earlier." She said, as she brushed out the tangles in my hair.

I focused on turning my hair the normal brown with black, red and blonde streaks, but lasted for about a second before growing the other colors once more. I turned and gave them all a forced smile as I felt some of the tension from earlier leave my body. I heard gasps as I turned towards the mirror, realizing my hair was now back to its normal state, with dark multiple colors, and my skin no longer clammy, it now held a healthy glow, but what shocked the girls and me more was the fact my eyes were practically glowing.

"Better?" I asked, as I pulled my cloak back on.

They nodded their heads in response. I smiled at them as I slid my knee length boots on.

"Why wear boots? It's barely cool out today." Cissy asked.

"It's getting cooler in the evenings now, I'd rather not be shaking throughout the day and focus on my studies. Especially Astronomy." I replied, as I waved my hand and told them to exit as torches and hearth extinguished.

I smirked as I slipped my headband on as we made our way towards the Great Hall for Dinner.

"Cissy, would you mind giving me the notes you took for herbology so I can copy them down?" I asked as we sat down, waiting for dinner to start.

I heard footsteps from behind me, "That won't be necessary, Narcissa." Tom said, interrupting us, before turning to me. "I made a copy of my notes for you earlier, for both of the classes that you've missed this afternoon." Tom said, sitting down next to me.

I looked over at him, with an expressionless. "Thank you." I replied after staring at him for a few seconds. Lestrange followed, by Malfoy and Avery sat down next to us.

"Is there a specific reason why you are all sitting down near us, I mean, not to be rude or anything, but don't you usually sit farther away from us? Like on the other side of the room maybe?" I asked, raising my eyebrow in suspicion.

"Well, here's the thing, I needed to speak with all of you. There's a meeting on Saturday, I want all of you there." Tom said, looking at me.

"Saturday? As in the day the girls and I are going to make a trip to Hogsmeade?" I asked, almost bursting into laughter, in disbelief.

He nodded, his expression unreadable. I stared back at him, with a blank expression for a moment before I nodded, deciding not to argue with him.

"Fine, but we can't attend in the morning, we won't be back until late afternoon. As I said before the girls and I had prior arrangements in place already," I said, as the food appeared before us.

"Oh, by the way, girls if you start having a burning sensation on the left side on the back of your neck, don't worry, it's just your new marks. I already have mine." I added as I grabbed some grilled chicken, some steamed veggies, and a roll.

Bellatrix felt her neck and smirked as she felt it with the tips of her fingers. She turned to Cissy, with her hair moved to the side. Silently asked what it was, "A spider. More specifically, a Latrodectus." I answered, smirking at Tom's questioning gaze.

"It felt it more appropriate if we had a mark that is easier to conceal." I explained, as Dromeda, Cissy, and I pulled our hair out of the way.

"Why would you want to conceal such an honor?" Tom asked, almost offended.

"Tom, to someone on the outside it may look... a bit barbaric if a woman is wearing a tattoo..." I explained, watching him eye the coin size mark.

He nodded in sudden understanding, and then I smirked as all the guys' eyes widened.

"Don't check here. Check after dinner, in private." I muttered, smirking at them.

"Why are your eyes shinier than usual today?" Rodolphus asked, dropping his fork on his plate suddenly.

I smirked at him, and tilted my head to the side, watching as his jaw parted slightly and his eyes glazed over.

I felt my smirk pull into a wider smile as I quickly imagined him running into the wall.

'Run, head first, into the wall in back of you!' I thought, a-cat-ate-the-canary smile spread on my lips as I did.

We all watched in satisfaction as he got up and ran across the room to the stone wall, as he fell to the ground in a heap, he shook his head dazed. I felt as Tom grabbed my hand, squeezing it slightly.

'Did you just-?' He thought , looking at me with wide eyes, reaching to clasp onto my forearm quickly.

I smirked and shrugged in response, plastering an innocent expression on my face.

'I have no idea what you're talking about.' I thought, innocently, snatching my hand away from his and began eating just as Lestrange sat down rubbing his head, a red mark on the side of his face. Tom gripped my thigh lightly, under the table causing me to gasp in response, and look at him as he smirked in response.

'I am almost certain it was you, who did that... don't play dumb, we both know you are smarter that. You clever girl.' He quipped back.

I smirked at him, batting my lashes at him before continuing to eat. Bellatrix snorted into her goblet as she watched our interaction.

"What's with you two? You keep staring at each other and smirking." She asked, looking at me.

"Nothing, right Riddle?" I said turning towards Tom, as I finished eating my food, elbowing him in the ribs.

"Eat more, you've had two nose bleeds today." Dromeda said, grabbing a brownie and handing it to me.

"I don't feel like eating chocolate... Thanks either way, Dromeda. I think I am done. I'll meet you three in my room later." I said, before excusing myself.

I felt I was being followed as I made my way back towards the common room. I was almost to the common room when I felt a strong grip grab my arm, pull me back, and slam me into one of the stone wall a few feet away.

"Sophia, Slytherin? Seriously, are you daft or something? How can you ask to be resorted into Slytherin with all the people that are so full of themselves that each word they spew ends up being bollocks?" Seamus asked, anger evident on his face.

Oh Merlin! Is he being serious right now?

"Need I remind you that my father was in Slytherin himself. There is no need to generalize everyone, not all of Slytherin are full of themselves, take Sirius Black for instance,he is full of himself and he is in Gryffindor. Now, I would advise you to let me go right now." I said, staring unblinking at him.

"No. Not until I get you to see reason. This is an idiotic idea, surely you must see that." He said, his grip tightening on my shoulders painfully.

"Very well." I said, willing the marks I had just put on all the group to begin to burn, summoning all of them, all except, Tom.

"You have to understand that some sort of imbalance in our time stream. Right now, your powers are so out of control, that you are developing more as we speak. You have to be careful. You don't want to lose control, we could end up with the very future we are trying to prevent." He said, almost growling when I looked away.

"You might want to step back and release her, now, MacLaggen." A harsh voice suddenly said, from behind us.

"Talk to your sister, she'll explain to you what is actually going on. Don't let yourself be manipulated by what you dream, Seamus." I said, giving him a forced smile as I watched Bellatrix and the rest of the group appeared in the corridor.

I watched Seamus stiffen as he realized what was about to happen. Tom suddenly appeared by my side grabbing my hand and weaving his fingers with my own.

'What did he do? Are you alright?' He demanded silently.

I showed him what happened, smirking at him as he stiffened slightly.

"You two share a telepathic link?" Seamus asked astonished, as he watched our silent exchange.

"How ever did you guess, Uncle?" I asked sarcastically, widening my eyes in fake surprise.

"This is more dangerous than I thought. Heed my words, Annamaria." He said, as he began to retreat.

"My name is Annamarie." I growled, my eyes narrowing at him.

My eyes narrowed at him as I began to flick my wrist towards direction of his retreating form. Tom grabbed me by the waist, pinned my wrist to my side.

"You better get out of here, before I release her on you, MacLaggen." Tom threatened, as he pulled me towards the common room, practically dragging me away.

I narrowed my eyes at him, as he rolled his eyes exasperated when I wouldn't cooperate. He stopped and threw me over his shoulders, shaking his head and muttering exasperatedly before walking into the Slytherin common room.

"Will you calm down?" He asked, as he walked into the room, and throwing me on the leather seat, after swatting my behind swiftly.

"I know you did not just slap my rear." I said, through my teeth angrily.

He smirked at me before, walking towards the arm chair and sitting down as if nothing had occurred in the last ten minutes.

I scoffed, crossing my arms as the rest of the group came into the room. I looked towards the group, staring blankly at them, then turned towards the emerald fire that burned in the hearth.

"Your marks, ladies and gentlemen, shall start to burn when either Tom or I summon you. It seems all of you lagged it tonight. I could've been in real danger, probably be hurt or worse, even be dead right at this very moment. So, thank you for having my back." I sneered, pushing past them, stopping just above the last stone step.

"My, m-my lady. W-we had to wait until the headmaster finished his speech." Bellatrix explained, alarmed.

I nodded in acknowledgement. "Forget the meeting tonight, I am suddenly in no mood to deal with anyone..." I said, briskly heading to my room before anyone else could say a word.
