U.C. 0010

Construction of the lunar city Copernicus begins.

The Space Colony plan begins in earnest, and a space industry arises to exploit the new frontier. Construction of the lunar supply and assembly base Copernicus begins.

George Glenn becomes an employee of the Atlantic Federation's Federal Aeronautics and Space Administration (FASA).

The Atlantic Federation establishes the Federal Space Force (FSF). The Eurasian Federation and Republic of East Asia soon follow suit.

The lunar city of Copernicus is completed.

FASA launches a Jupiter exploration project and announces the development of the exploration ship Tsiolkovsky. George Glenn is to be the ship's chief designer, and the space station Yggdrasil will serve as the construction site.

The exploration ship Tsiolkovsky is completed.

The ship is equipped with exoskeletal power-assisted space suits known as mobile suits. These would eventually inspire the massive humanoid weapons of the same name.

George Glenn's Confession. As George Glenn departs for Jupiter aboard the Tsiolkovsky, he reveals the existence of Coordinators, and releases the necessary genetic engineering techniques onto the worldwide network.

The world is thrown into chaos, with religious authorities declaring the Coordinator technology heretical due to infringing upon God's domain, threatening excommunication for anyone who even browses the data.

In the name of environmental protection, the pressure group Blue Cosmos declares itself adamantly opposed to Coordinator technology. Its greatest backer was the Azrael Foundation from the Atlantic Federation.

The population of the space colonies reaches 1½ million.

Trenov Yvan Minovsky, father of Minovsky physics, is born in Ukraine.

The UN Genetic Resources Development Conference is held in Italy to discuss the Coordinator issue. The Agreement on Human Genetic Modification is adopted, totally prohibiting the manipulation of human genes. What to do with George Glenn himself is to be decided after he returns from Jupiter.

Nonetheless, some wealthy individuals secretly have their children turned into Coordinators.

Degwin Sodo Zabi is born.

A hospital in Chicago which had secretly been creating Coordinators is set ablaze, its doctors, nurses and patients are all slaughtered. Blue Cosmos is rumored to be involved.

The Atlantic Federation and the United States of South America begin construction of the Porta Panama mass driver in Central America.
