"The Miraculous Karen Rider Lupina"
"Ah, Paris. The City of Love," the Coyote sighed as she sat at the edge of a rooftop, admiring the city's lights at night. She was dressed in a purple leotard with a tight corset that accentuated her slim and curvy figure. Black pantyhose covered her legs while she wore dainty stiletto heels. Over her outfit, she wore a dark tailcoat and a coyote-themed masquerade mask covered her face. Purple gloves covered her hands to prevent her from leaving fingerprints.
A wind blew a newspaper in her direction and she snatched it out of the air. She scanned it and something curious piqued her attention.
"'Local heroes Ladybug and Chat Noir save the day once again'," she read the headline as she looked at the picture. "So, this place has superheroes too. Interesting." A smile spread on her lips. "Should be fun." She balled up the newspaper and tossed it behind her before she got up. "Paris is about to meet its new Master Thief, 'The Coyote'."
An explosion erupted not too far away from her location. She could see smoke billowing into the air. She reached into her utility belt and pulled out a pair of binoculars to get a closer look.
"Looks like trouble," the Coyote frowned as she put her binoculars away. "I better check it out."

An apartment building was on fire and firefighters were trying to put it out. The Coyote saw this, her eyes narrowing. The firefighters should be able to take care of this when he heard a woman scream.
"My daughter's still in there!" she screamed.
"Please, you can't go in there, ma'am," one of the firefighters said, trying to stop her from going inside. "It's too dangerous."
"Not for me," the Coyote said as she took out her grapple gun and fired a grappling hook. She then swung straight into the burning building, crashing through a window. The fire was spreading as she started to look for anyone who might be inside. "C'mon, where are you, kid?" She soon heard someone yelling for help and she followed the yells. It was coming from behind a door. "There you are."
She took a step back and kicked down the door with all her might. There was a little girl, about six years old, with a teddy bear in her arms.
"W-who are you?" she asked fearfully.
"Just a phantom passing through," the Coyote said. "Now, c'mon."
She picked up the little girl and ran for the window. Shielding the child with her body, she crashed through the window and then leapt out. Despite the height, she landed on her feet without harm. Her actions did not go unnoticed as the crowd and firefighters just gaped at her.
"Emilia!"
"Mama!"
The Coyote watched as the mother and child reunited.
"Thank you so much for saving my daughter. Who are you?" the mother asked.
She soon noticed all attention was on her as some people took out their phones to take a picture of her. Well, they had seen her, might as well introduce herself.
"Citizens of Paris, I am the Coyote! Don't take this the wrong way, for all your treasures will be mine!" she announced dramatically, giving them a bow before she threw a smoke bomb. When the smoke cleared, she had vanished.
~LUPINA~
Shinobu was reading some interesting news on her phone. It was about the fire last night and The Coyote's debut in Paris.
"Well, looks like The Coyote is trending," she said as she scrolled down the posts, smiling. All of a sudden, she stopped in her tracks as a delicious smell entered her nostrils. It was the smell of freshly baked goods. She just couldn't resist and made a beeline for the source.
~LUPINA~
Tom Dupain had just baked another batch of fresh eclairs.
"That smells so good," Marinette Dupain-Cheng said to her father as she saw the eclairs.
"Here, the first one's for you," Tom said as he gave his daughter one.
Marinette took an eclair and was about to take a bite when she looked out the window. Standing outside their bakery was a girl who had her face pressed against the glass, drooling.
"Dad, someone's outside," Marinette pointed.
"Well, let her inside," Tom smiled, always happy to serve a potential customer.
Marinette stepped out to see the girl still had her face pressed against the window. She looked pretty stylish, wearing purple earrings that looked like marbles, a pink gothic lolita dress outlined with black ribbons that had a short frilly skirt and short puffy sleeves. Covering her legs were black and white striped stockings with ribbons on the top of either side and she wore pink mary jane pumps. She also had long indigo hair tied in a braided ponytail with long twin cowlicks, decorated by a pair of bow ribbons on either side of her head, and slanted eyes that matched her hair colour. Her face could be best described as "devilishly cute".
"Um, excuse me?" Marinette asked.
"Wagh!" the girl jumped back in fright. "Oh, you startled me!"
"I'm sorry," Marinette apologized. "But we saw you from our window."
"Oh, I just smelled the most marvelous aroma and it took me to this shop. It's a bakery, right?" the girl asked.
"Yes, my family owns and runs it. Pardon me, but I haven't seen you around here before. I notice you've got a bit of an accent too," Marinette answered.
"I'm Shinobu. Shinobu Invader," the girl introduced herself. "I'm just here visiting Paris. I'm from Japan."
"Really? How cool! And your French is really good," Marinette complimented. "I'm Marinette. Come inside. It's better than standing out here."
Shinobu entered the bakery with Marinette and her eyes sparkled as she saw all the baked goods on display. She immediately went to the counter and slammed down a credit card.
"I want one of each item please!" she demanded, with a look of pure joy on her face.
~LUPINA~
She left the bakery, not with one of each item, unfortunately. Instead, she left with a paper bag full of eclairs and chocolate croissants. She took a bite out of one and her cheeks flushed as she purred.
"Yummy~!" She put a hand on her cheek blissfully. It was sooooo good!
That girl Marinette was such a sweet girl, tolerating all her demands before recommending the croissants and eclairs.
As she enjoyed her eclair, she wondered how she would get Ladybug and Chat Noir's attention. She knew they were teenagers, judging by their appearance.
~LUPINA~
The Coyote watched from a rooftop as the latest Akumatized villain began wreaking havoc. It was a woman with strange purple skin and dressed in a leotard that had a low V-neckline. Black gloves and boots covered her limbs. She also wore a domino mask and her long black hair was prehensile, capable of stretching.
"I am Plastique!" the supervillainess declared as she turned her fist into a hammer and smashed a window to pieces. She stretched her hair and grabbed several articles of clothing, all branded and expensive. "And I'll be the most beautiful girl in the world!"
"Ugh," Coyote grimaced. "A common shoplifter with superpowers." She then spotted two figures leaping into the scene. "And as usual, Chat Noir and Ladybug have come to save the day."
~LUPINA~
A gunshot rang and hit Plastique's hand, causing her to recoil as she released Ladybug and Chat Noir. The two teenage superheroes collapsed, gasping for breath.
"Who did that!?" Plastique demanded when she suddenly received a kick to the face, sending her head flying back as her neck stretched. A few moments later, her neck retracted like rubber and she glared at the person who had just kicked her.
"So, what do I call you? Miss Marvel? Elongated Lass? Elastigirl?" Coyote mocked.
"I am...PLASTIQUE!" Plastique threw her fists at Coyote who jumped to dodge the stretched limbs. She then landed a fair distance away, but with how elastic Plastique was, distance was no problem for the villain.
"Hey, are you two OK?" Coyote asked.
"Who...who are you...?" Ladybug asked.
"Coyote," the phantom thief introduced herself. "And you're Ladybug and Chat Noir."
"That's right," Chat Noir smiled.
"Well, looks like this Kaijin has been kicking your butts, so why not take five and let me take care of her?" Coyote winked.
~LUPINA~
Coyote took out her sidearm, twirling it in her hand. It was an unusual pistol-like weapon with a handguard and a short blade attached to the top. Coloured gold, it also had red and black accents.
This was her Lupin Gunner.
She pressed her palm against the muzzle, causing the Lupin Gunner to play suspenseful jazz music. As the song played, she performed a few steps of a solo tango before she twirled and aimed above her head.
"Kaito Henshin!"
She squeezed the trigger and the Lupin Gunner announced in a sophisticated female voice with a French accent:
[Lupin!]
She fired and an assortment of shining jewels materialized around Coyote before they combined with her body, forming her suit of armour. Covering her body was a crimson bodysuit with a belt and bandolier. In the centre of the leather bandolier was a badge that was decorated by various gems while her gold belt buckle had an amethyst in the centre. She wore black and gold gauntlets that were styled like evening gloves with matching thigh-high boots that had golden bejewelled knee pads and stiletto heels. A black breastplate with wide pauldrons that were decorated by filmstrips provided additional protection to her torso with a cape added for style. Finally, her helmet had a silver mouthplate with sculpted female lips and a pair of red eyes, topped by a tophat.
A spotlight inexplicably appeared to shine on Coyote as she posed with her Lupin Gunner held up, a hand on her hip and left leg bent slightly.
"Kamen Rider Lupina, the Ultimate Thief!" she declared, snapping her fingers. "I'll steal your hearts!"
"Wow," Chat Noir whistled. "She's got style."
"But how did she do that?" Ladybug looked at the Lupin Gunner. "Is that a Miraculous?"
Lupina focused on Plastique and opened fire. The bullets hit the Akumatized villain but did no damage as the parts she shot just stretched backwards before snapping back to normal, throwing the bullets back at the armoured thief. Lupina recoiled as she was hit by her own ammo.
"You see? Anything you hit me with just bounces off! Like rubber and glue!" Plastique mocked. "Now, just surrender and let me take Chat Noir and Ladybug's Miraculous!"
"Miraculous?" Lupina repeated, curious. "So, your body is made of rubber. Looks like I'll just have to fix that, won't I?"
Lupina reached to the side of her belt which held a set of four model cars. She took the one that was ruby red and modelled after a bat. She then slid it onto her Lupin Gunner.
[Tune: Ruby System!]
Lupina spread her arms as her cape morphed into a pair of metallic ruby red bat wings. Now as Lupina Ruby Bat, she took to the sky as Plastique threw two punches at her. Hovering out of range, Lupina waved at Plastique who shot her fists at her and her prehensile hair. Instead of dodging, Lupina flew straight at Plastique's attack, bobbing and weaving while swatting the rubbery appendages away with her Lupin Gunner. Flames enveloped her weapon as she came within striking range and she hit Plastique with a flaming punch, using her weapon like a knuckle duster. Plastique recoiled and Lupina proceeded to throw flaming punches repeatedly while slashing with her bat wings.
Growling, Plastique tried to spear Lupina but the armoured thief leaned backwards and the attack sailed harmlessly above her. At the same time, she switched model cars, this time grabbing one that was sapphire blue and modelled after a spider.
[Tune: Sapphire System!]
Lupina's bat wings vanished and were replaced by eight long spider legs which glowed with a metallic blue gleam as she changed into Lupina Sapphire Spider. The spider legs hugged her torso as her bodysuit and eyepieces turned blue. A metallic sapphire blue gauntlet that resembled a huge spider appeared on her right arm. The two sets of legs in front of the spider gauntlet formed claws that she used to slash Plastique. The villainess laughed, expecting no damage but then frost crept up her body, starting from where Lupina had struck her.
"Freeze!" Lupina fired her gauntlet, shooting a strand of webbing which wrapped Plastique up in a cocoon but it froze like ice. With her opponent frozen, Lupina landed a powerful strike that shattered the ice and sent Plastique tumbling.
"Whoa," Ladybug gaped as Lupina easily overpowered the Akumatized villain.
"Hey, Ladybug! How do you usually beat these guys?" Lupin Femma asked.
"Ah, she was transformed by an Akuma!" Ladybug informed her.
"An Akuma?" Lupina repeated, puzzle. "You mean she's possessed by the devil?"
"No! Look, she must have something on her! Some kind of item! Destroy it and this will be over!"
"An item, huh?" Lupina looked at Plastique as she was getting back on her feet. "Let's see what you've got..." She scanned her target for anything that stood out and found it. It was a bracelet on her wrist. "That must be it."
"Gah!" Plastique grunted.
"Would you mind handing over your bracelet, ma'am?" Lupina asked politely.
"No!" Plastique turned to flee to try again another day but Lupina would not allow it.
"No, you don't!"
[Ultimate Lupin: Sapphire Shloot!]
She pressed the nozzle of her Lupin Gunner and released it, causing her weapon to play suspenseful jazz music.
Lupina fired multiple shots which morphed into spiders. The sapphire spiders landed on Plastique and began crawling all over her.
"Get off me! Get off me, you disgusting pests!" Plastique screamed as she tried to get the spiders off her. The spiders gathered on Plastique's bracelet and exploded, causing the items to be destroyed and release the Akuma. It was a black butterfly that was full of corrupt magic.
"Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug declared as she caught the butterfly before she released the pure white butterfly from her item. "Bye-bye, little butterfly."
"Nice," Lupina smiled.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug threw her yoyo into the air and it released a burst of shining red magic which flew around Paris, undoing all the damage caused by Plastique. As for the villainess, she was turned back to normal. "That takes care of that. Now just who are-?" Ladybug turned around, only to find Lupin Femma no longer there. "Huh?"
"Huh. Guess she didn't see much of a point to stick around," Chat Noir shrugged. Looking down, he noticed something glimmering on the ground. Walking over to pick it up, he saw that it was a steel card with a holographic image. A purple jumping coyote with a trail of lightning for a lower body half. "Wow, sweet collectable."
As the heroes leapt away, someone was watching them from atop a roof.
"Miraculous, hm?" Shinobu smiled as she sat on her perch, enjoying another eclair. "Interesting. Guess I know what treasures I'll be claiming next." She pointed her finger like a gun. "Watch out Ladybug and Chat Noir, I'm coming for your Miraculous."

A/N: A little side project we've been working on featuring one of the direct children of one of my flagship characters. You might be able to guess who if you can figure out the description. And with the new Urusei Yatsura anime coming out soon, I figured this might be a good time to post this small test chapter.
Next time on "The Miraculous Kamen Rider Lupina"
Ladybug and Chat Noir appeared to confront the villains who suddenly vanished upon their arrival.
"Huh?" Ladybug blinked.
"Where did they go, milady?" Chat Noir questioned.
The silence was broken when a cloud of smoke erupted in front of the two heroes. When it faded, Coyote stood before them.
"On time as usual, Ladybug, Chat Noir," Coyote applauded.
"Coyote?" Ladybug was confused. "What's going on?"
"Oh, you were all responding to a villain attack, right?" Coyote asked as she showed them her Lupin Gunner. "Observe." She swung her arm down and a huge filmstrip appeared. Then, from the film strip, the figure of Lady Wifi appeared. This was one of her mementoes. "It was all just a trick, a decoy to lure you all here."
"Lure us over?" Chat Noir frowned, gripping his staff.
"I am a thief, a professional thief who seeks to claim all the treasures in the world. When I learned of your Miraculous, I thought they would be a perfect addition to my collection," Coyote explained. "Now, please, hand them over so nobody needs to get hurt."
