JAUNE X ZERO

Pyrrha looked up at Cinder as she formed her bow and arrow. The legendary Invincible Girl had been beaten and without her Aura, there was no way she would survive this. She could at least die without any regrets.

"Goodbye, Jaune," Pyrrha murmured.

Before Cinder could release her arrow, she was sent flying by an explosive blow that sent her tumbling across the floor. Pyrrha gasped as a new figure appeared, standing before her. He was clad in a full suit of red, blue and silver power armour. He had a blue light in the centre of his chest and his silver helmet had a yellow visor, blade-like fins on top and a green light in the middle of his forehead.

Cinder growled as she managed to avoid slipping from the edge and glared at the interloper. It was a man in a suit of hi-tech armour. Was this Atlas' desperate attempt in trying to stop her?

"Who in the world are you!?" Cinder demanded.

"The name's Zero," the man introduced himself with a confident tone. "Ultraman Zero!"

With a yell, Cinder formed her swords and dashed towards Zero, propelling herself with flames that shot out of her feet. Swiftly, Zero grabbed the fins from his helmet and detached them, wielding them like blades. He blocked Cinder's attack and pushed her back with his blades. The two began to exchange blows as sparks flew from their clashing weapons. As they locked blades, the light in the centre of Zero's forehead glowed and Cinder's eyes widened when he fired it.

"Emerium Slash!"

The laser hit Cinder, knocking her back. Luckily, her Aura managed to protect her. Merging her swords into a bow and arrow, she fired at Zero who deflected the arrow with his right blade and then he threw both blades at Cinder. They flew at her but she managed to deflect them with her swords but then the blades flew back and slashed her across the shoulders before returning to Zero.

"This is the end, Cinder!" Zero decided after he caught his Zero Sluggers.

Cinder gritted her teeth. No, she would not be beaten here, not by some punk in a fancy suit of armour. Cinder cupped her hands together, forming a fireball which grew in size and heat. She would incinerate them both! Zero, seeing her preparing her attack, put his Zero Sluggers back on his helmet. He had one arm raised to the sky and another held to the side, gathering energy. Finally, he put his arms in an L-pose and fired a beam of light at Cinder just as she hurled her fireball.

"WIDE ZERO SHOT!"

The beam cut through the fireball and struck Cinder, breaking her Aura and flinging her off the edge of the tower. Zero ran after her and saw her flying away with her flames. He then spotted the Wyvern as it came flying straight for the tower.

"Oh, shit!" Zero yelled as the Wyvern was coming at ramming speed. He needed to take care of that thing. Attaching the Zero Sluggers to his chestplate, Zero focused energy into the centre of his chest, causing the blades to glow. His visor flashed as he unleashed his attack.

"ZERO TWIN SHOOT!"

An intense beam of power burst from his chest and struck the Wyvern, vaporising it in midair. Zero ceased his attack once the danger was gone. Cinder had managed to get away but at least Pyrrha was safe.

Zero turned around to check on Pyrrha and knelt down before her.

"Are you OK?" Zero asked in a now familiar voice.

"Jaune?" Pyrrha gasped and Zero pushed up his faceplate to reveal the blue-eyed blond himself.

"Hey, Pyrrha," Jaune smiled.

"Pyrrha!" Ruby shouted as she finally reached the top of the tower and found Pyrrha with Jaune who was in a suit of armour. "Jaune, is that you?"

"Yeah," Jaune said as he helped Pyrrha up to her feet, putting an arm around her waist to support her. "It's me."

"What happened to you?" Ruby asked.

Yes, indeed. What happened to Jaune Arc?

Moments after Jaune ended his call with Ruby, he let out a cry of frustration. Pyrrha had sent him away! Why? Because he was weak! Because he was useless! All he wanted to do was to be a hero and came to Beacon to be a Huntsman. But without any training, experience, or Aura, he had no chance. It was only because of Pyrrha that he managed to make it this far but even then it was not enough.

And now Pyrrha was going to face Cinder, alone!

"I wish I could help her! I wish I had power! Please, if there's anyone that can hear me, please, help me save her!"

Jaune did not expect anyone to answer but then all of a sudden he was hit by a bright light. Jaune opened his eyes and found himself standing in a white void.

"So, you want to be a hero, huh, kid?" the voice asked.

"Who's that?" Jaune responded and then the figure appeared before him. "Who...what are you?"

"I felt your energy. You've got a lot of it," the being said in admiration.

"Well, that's all I really got. A really big Aura," Jaune grumbled. "Not like it does me any good."

"Actually, I might be able to help you with that but you need to help me."

"Help you with what?"

"I've got a mission but in order for me to do it, I'm going to need to borrow your body. All you need to do is accept."

"And what's in it for me?"

"In exchange, you get to use my power to become a hero. So, do we have a deal?" the strange being asked as he offered his hand to Jaune.

Jaune looked at the strange being's offered hand. Should he? This strange being had come to him during his time of need, when he was desperate, and came to him with a generous offer. It just seemed too good to be true. However, Pyrrha needed him. He needed to help her.

"Alright," Jaune said as he took Zero's hand and they shook on it.

"Good," Zero nodded. "Now, this will feel strange at first but you'll get used to it. Now, what's your name."

"It's Jaune. Jaune Arc."

"Well, Jaune. You can call me Zero. Ultraman Zero."

DrEx: I had this weird idea come to me while I was up watching RWBY Ice Queendom and then I was watching some clips of Ultraman Zero. So, I just thought what if Zero merged with Jaune? Now, Zero was searching for Devil Splinters and sensed Jaune and decided to help him. So, the Ultraman Zero suit that you see in the first segment is based on the Ultraman suits used by the main characters of the ULTRAMAN manga/anime. I just thought it would be cool that Jaune can transform and access the armour while in human size. Giant size, he would look like Zero's natural form.
