A/N:

hey everybody! Because this isn't ao3 and I can't put tags, I am going to say it here.

This fic has mentions/references to sex. This fic will have lots of violence. This fic will have misuse of substances, such as alcohol. (aka characters will get drunk or high). And most importantly: this fic will have light suicidal thoughts. Though not a lot just a few sentences, that's it.

to the person who commented about apostrofies: I already wrote a big chunck of the fic. I am not going to change the grammar. Also I am sorry if the mistake is actually wrong; I am quadrilingual so I

messed up the grammar between Dutch and English apparently.

Thank you so much for the support!

( PS: comments make me want to put out more chapters ;)

'Please, please, do not, Dadda, do not.' Andromeda said with tears in her eyes, her voice was shaking. Her father was packing.

'No, dearest one, I have to, there is no discussion in this matter.' He smiled at her daughter. 'I believe there is no other way.' He said and returned to his sack.

'You are not in your youthful years anymore, Dadda, you'll die.' Her father stopped packing and looked up and nodded.

'Yeah, my dearest one.' He looked at her. 'I will die. Maybe it will be a painful death. But I must, it's my parental duty in front of my son.'

She was sobbing and her face looked ugly while she cried, 'And me? Do you care about dear Theodore, more than about me? Tell me, Dadda, tell me,' she whipped away her tears and looked at him, 'Tell me, Alexander of Athens, do you care about your son more than about your daughter?'

'Andromeda.' He looked concerned.

No!' she interrupted, 'I do not wish to hear about your stupid words of excuses. I know what'll happen. You'll die and you'll go to Elysium, just like Theodore. You'll leave me in Asphodel. I won't go to Elysium; I won't die a hero's death. That's your plan, that's why you want to go to war! So you can be in the Underworld with Theo.' She grabbed his sleeve. 'Have mercy, oh father, maybe you loved his mother more than mine, but does that mean-'

'No, Andromeda, you can't go with me to the battle. There will be no discussion.' He looked at her with an intense gaze. 'I do not love Theodore more than you, nor do I love you more than him. But there is an important reason you can't go to the battlefield-'

'Other that I am a woman?'

He grabbed his node bridge. 'You know, I do not care for that, Andromeda.'

'Then what!' she moaned 'What is your reason that I could never do things that Theodore could. That you were so protective about me all those years? You know that I can handle a punch? I was the one who rescued Theo from the forest, not reversed. You let me go outside, out of the house, now let me go to war.'

'These are two completely different comparisons!'

That you would go for him to Thanatos' arms voluntarily...

He sighed. 'I think it's time I tell you the truth…' he bit his lip, 'It's because of your father.'

'What do you mean? You are my father, Dadda…' she frowned, and an unbelievable realization seemed to hit her. 'Y-you are not-?'

'No, no, of course I am your father, it's just…' he looked tired, 'You well, don't have a mother'

She shot up an eyebrow. 'What? that is ridiculous! Dad, did you smoke too much bay leaves again? Are you okay? No one can have children without someone of the fema-'

'I know! Mortals cannot have children with same sex parents! I Know!' he cried suddenly, making Andromeda have a shock.

'M-Mortals...?'

He paled. 'Yes, Andromeda, mortals.' He stood up and kissed her on the forehead. 'Goodbye dearest one. Go to the House of Hades. The current Oracle of Delphi we'll be waiting for you there. She'll tell you what to do. I should have did this long ago, I've delayed this way too much.'

'Dadda?'

'Do what I said my dear one. Remember that I love you. We'll reunite again in the Underworld.' He kissed her again on the forehead and stepped out of the house, leaving Andromeda shocked and sobbing.

Hestia's hearth was out.

'Why, Moirai, oh why did you have to do this? What did I ever do to you?'

21 century AC

Turns out sea magic was a lot harder than expected, but much easier than moving grapes.

There were three types of magic Percy had access to: sea magic, normal magic and Poseidon' magic. Normal magic could be used by every non-human thing: merpeople, nymphs and demigods for example.

Such things were mist-manipulation, being able to make illusions for mortals, dream manipulation, being able to locate dreams, which was immensely difficult, and Rhodes said that they wouldn't go into it very often, considering that it's dangerous. People can catch dreamers and imprison them, or even plant a spy in someone else's mind.

Sensoring, Valoar, being able to detect impurities, such as too much mist in one place, curses, or love-magic. It's difficult, but very useful.

And the final one, prophecy, which was almost unachievable. Only the best ones could do it and most people give up on it, just asking for prophecy from Apollo offspring or the Oracle of Delphi.

Sea magic was far more diverse than normal magic; it had hydro kinesis, which was called Gaelu in Luhanya (the universal ocean-language), which was the ability to move water and sometimes other liquids.

Kuy'a, the magic of moving water particles: vapor. Kuy'a was handy in a lot of situations. It could move arrows and making them fly past you, you could concentrate vapor to make normal liquid water.

The sea magic also had Cireney caor, loosely translated to Siren's song. It was horrifying to hear about it. Cireney caor could make a person go insane just by hearing it, it could make people madly in love with the singer, it could control people, it could even control objects if the performer was talented enough.

There were also other forms of magic Rhodes decided not get into right now.

The Poseidon related magic was by far the one which Percy was most inclined in, considering he was the son of the said god.

'Normal Gaelu is really difficult, and it takes years to even master the movement of one droplet of water, but because of thy parentage, it will be easier.'

And indeed, it was, Percy could already make waves in no-time.

'The next one is Oragaelita, these are thy earthshaking powers, difficult, but thou can manage.'

Percy was far worse in Oragaelita than in Gaelu. He could produce a small trilling in the earth, but not more than that. Rhodes just laughed and said that it was pretty good for a beginner.

'I assume you already can talk to horses and fish?'

Percy stood in front of the Ares cabin. Well, at least as close as he could, without stepping on the mines.

'Hey! Can someone get Clarisse!' he shouted, but no one answered. Obvious, it was 7 AM. But Percy was already up, you had to, with Pollux. Besides, he slept enough in the cave of Rhodes. 'Clarisse! I know you're up, you have your morning run at six!'

Suddenly he heard some mumbling and the door swinged open.

'Well, look who it is! Prissy!' Clarisse said and jumped over to him, dancing in a very specific choreography to avoid the land mines. It looked like polka, which to Percy was funny. She just needed a traditional polka outfit and Clarisse could go on stage.

'What are you doing here? Came for another-'

'Mind you, I was the one who beat you up.' She looked annoyed.

'Uhm…well… Pollux said that I needed to apologize,' he looked at her with fear, ' and uh…I apologize'

'Well that's really-'

'But if you don't apologize back, I'll take it back.'

Her eyebrows shot upwards. 'And why did Pollux wanted for you to apologize to me?'

Percy smiled. 'It seems like he is a bit afraid of you.'

'He should be', she reasoned, 'Wait, he is?'

'Uhm, yeah'

She gave him a wicked grimace. 'Well, now I have some sort of leverage over him, thanks.' She turned to the archery range, ' I guess you are forgiven, Prissy, but do not get in my way in the future.' She said and walked away.

'Clarisse!' she turned around.

'What, Prissy?'

'And your apologies?'

She grimaced again as if she was chewing lemons.

'Unfuck you or whatever.'

Percy smiled; with Clarisse this was fine. And he went to the strawberry fields, where Katie and Pollux were already waving at him.
