"My queen… It seems they have found another guardian," a minion said.

The queen clenched the arms of her throne. "And what about the energy from the humans?"

"We are still gathering loads of it. All we lost was a weak duskull."

"…Good. But we need to dispose of those guardians before they become troublesome. Find something to dispose of the three guardians as well as keep gathering the energy. We will bring him back."

"Of course, my queen." The minion left.

My mom gave me a lecture of keeping track of time from being late from school, like I haven't heard enough of that already. Max came home and bragged about acing his Math test, so I left. Once I got into my room, I saw the skitty waiting for me. "So, you're ready to explain everything to me?"

"Of course… First off, my name is Lunar. I was reincarnated to one day find and guide you guardians to be able to protect the universe when the time was right."

"And about all that… why are we guardians needed anyways? Can't Arceus protect everything itself?"

"In a way, that's what it's doing… part of its power is given to the guardians. Arcues believed the universe could be best protected with the guardians instead of itself alone…"

"And what makes it so sure about the universe needing protection?"

"…Besides it being Arceus itself?"

I started sweating. "Right, never mind." But then I gave her a serious look. "So, how many guardians are there? How do we find them? Guardian V is one of them, right? Oh, and Thorn has…"

"Thorn can't be a guardian. Arceus only made the guardians female!"

I crossed her arms. "Well, that's stupid! And randomly sexist! Doesn't it know men are genetically stronger than females?"

Lunar glared at me with a harsh look. "Please don't disrespect Lord Arceus like that! It knows what it's doing!"

I backed up with a frown. "Oh… okay."

"Arcues gave you all enough strength to protect the universe as he made you more than just human… never forget that!"

I gave a serious look. "More than just human?"

Lunar nodded. "Yes. You are stronger, faster, and have powers no other human could ever obtain!"

I looked at the small wand I used to transform into Guardian Moon with a curious look.

"About the other guardians… I'm not sure how many there are. Though I am gifted the ability to know that someone is a guardian, so leave the guardian finding to me!"

I looked out the window with a confused look. "So… if Thorn isn't a guardian, just what is he?"

"He might be a trap sent to trick you by the Dark Kingdom."

"That doesn't make any sense! If that was the case, why did he stop an ally from killing me? It would've been so easy for him to just kill me, so they would have one less Guardian to worry about!"

Lunar sighed. "I wish I could disagree with you…"

I crossed my arms. "See? He's on our side!"

"May, we can't say that for certainty! We have to proceed with cation!"

I sat down on the bed and smiled. "What cation do we need with Thorn? He's such a gentleman… like Steven!" I gazed into one of my many posters of Steven Stone, whom I have a huge crush on.

Lunar just sighed with an unamused look.

"Anyways, what is known about the Dark Kingdom?"

Lunar looked down with a serious look. "…All I know is that they despise Arcues. When it forbade humans and pokemon to battle, both humans and pokemon turned on it. That's how the Dark Kingdom started…"

"Wait… why would pokemon hate Arcues from being forbidden to be forced to battle by humans? Didn't he do that for them?"

"…It's not something you and I could ever understand. We are in an era where we never understood the bond between trainer and pokemon. But it was strong, and the connection was said to shine through mostly in battle which a lot of pokemon used to love to do."

I frowned. It was true, I could never understand why any creature would love to attack and get attacked by other creatures for… who knows why.

"The Dark Kingdom plans to destroy everything Arcues made to make their own world without it, and for their own rules to matter…"

I gave a serious look, but then remembered something important. "Oh right! I have so much homework I need to work on!" I pulled out all my homework and worked on it till I feel asleep.

Lunar frowned but let me work knowing its important.

The next day, I got up and got in the shower and got dressed. Lunar has given me a cute moon communicator watch I can use to communicate with her.

"You really take a long time in the shower…" Lunar commented.

"Yeah, maybe to a skitty, I take a long shower," I responded.

Lunar gave me an unamused look.

Then I put down some food for Lunar and went to eat breakfast. After that I got my hair together.

"Hurry, May! You don't have much time!" Lunar told me.

"You're starting to sound like my mom, ya know…"

Lunar sighed and gave up. She jumped on the bed and went to sleep.

I looked at my clock and screamed. "Why didn't you tell me I only have 15 minutes?"

Lunar gave me an annoyed look. "I tried…"

"Oh whatever. I have to go!" I blasted out the door and raced on my bike. Once I made it to school, I dropped my bike and helmet off and rushed into my class was in the door at the bell.

"Alright class, time to sit down," the teacher said.

I sighed in relief as I sat down in my set.

Time went by and it was the best time in the world, time to eat! As I ate, I heard some bratty girls gossiping.

"Look, it's her!"

And the other girls around her made a bunch of annoyed noises.

I looked over to who they were talking about, and it was Serena. She came into Combustion Middle School this year as she moved from Kalos to here. The guys loved her for how pretty and nice she is, but there were a lot of girls who were jealous of her getting the guy's attention. It irritated me listening to them, so I went to go and sit next to her.

"Hello, my name is May."

"Oh, hi May… am I in trouble?" Serena asked.

"Of course not! I just wanted to get to know you, is all!"

She smiled. "Oh, I'm glad. Usually, girls come up to me because their boyfriends came up to me and hit on me… Honestly, I don't like it. Most of them are creeps and don't respect me at all, and definitely not their girlfriends!"

"Yuck! That does sound awful! Do you tell the guys to get lost?"

Serena gave me a confused look. "Get… lost?"

"Yeah! That's what they deserve!"

She looked to the side with a frown. "No… I just tell them I'm not interested. Sometimes they still don't get the hint."

I shook my head. "Sometimes, you just have to slap them for get your point across."

Serena gave a fearful look. "Hit them? That's just… so violent."

"Sadly, some boys are too stupid to understand anything else to get you don't like them."

Serena looked down with a frown. "Well, giving them the cold shoulder seems to make them understand for me…"

"Oh, that's good. Anyways, I heard you moved here from Kalos… how did you like living there?"

Serena looked up with a smile. "I loved it there! Lots of places to shop and memorable places…"

I listened to her with an envious look. "I can't wait to go to Kalos when I grow up…" I thought to myself.

"However, we had to move here for my mom's job. Her race car career can be more successful here than in Kalos…"

"Your mom is a race car driver? That's pretty cool!"

She looked away. "I guess… but I wanted to be a pageant queen when I grow up. I want for everyone to look at me and be filled with happiness, hope and be inspiring for others to do great things… but I heard the best place to get into beauty pageants was in Kalos."

"Well, you still can be one!"

"I know, its just going to be harder is all…"

"Well, I know once you get in, I know you'll be pageant queen!"

Serena smiled. "Thanks, May! So, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Me and Serena hit it off really well. We both learned we were tried to be pushed into careers that we had no interest in by our parents. My dad thought I'd be interested in his pokemon zoo. But when he heard that I wanted to do something else, he seemed supportive. Serena had a tougher time convincing her mom that she's capable of focusing on something besides race car driving, but she said with some time she understood.

There was a new clothing store that recently opened. So, me and Serena decided to go cheek it out after school. However when we got there, a woman ran off being chased by a child with no pupils who was glaring at her holding a metal bat.

"W-what's going on?" Serena asked.

The child glared at us. "Kekeke…" The laugh sounded soulless. He started chasing us with the bat.

"Serena, we got to separate and hide!" I shouted.

"Okay…" Serena responded.

At the intersection I went right, and Serena went left. I looked behind to see if the crazy boy was behind me, but I saw him go after Serena. "Oh no…" This child could be part of the Dark Kingdom, so I really wished he followed me instead. In any case, I knew that this was my time to pull out my wand and transform into Guardian Moon. I pulled out my communicator and informed Lunar of what happened.
