Chapter 4
(TARA'S P.O.V)
Upon witnessing Sookie's terrifying confirmation I immediately headed for the bar's front door. "Tara, wait I can explain-" Mario quickly began to say, as he headed towards me. I was quicker, as I shut the door which blocked out his voice. As I folded my hands, I shook my head in disbelief, as I stared out into the empty Merlotte's parking lot. To say that I was shocked was an understatement. I was hurt and feeling motherfucking betrayed. All this time… And he said nothing to me… Now we have another threat heading towards Bon Temp, and by the looks of it I wasn't even going to live through it. The bars' front door suddenly opened, and Mario stepped out. "Tara, I'm sorry…" Mario said quietly, shutting the door behind him. I remained silent with my back facing him. "So when were you gonna tell me about this?," I simply asked my back, still facing him.
"Or did you think that this was all gonna just magically go away?." He didn't respond. "God, I'm so sick of this shit!," I growled in frustration. "No matter what we do it's never enough!, the enemies just keep on coming."
I suddenly felt his hands grasp my shoulder. "I'm sorry," he said in a low apologetic voice. "To be honest I didn't know how to address the situation or tell you… And when Sookie confirmed that it was real I panicked," he explained, squeezing my shoulders slightly in a comforting way. He slowly turned me to face him. "If anyone comes after you, I will be there to not only stop them but take them out if I have to." Mario reassured me cupping my face with his right hand. I smiled sadly, as tears ran down my face. "Someone or something is heading to Bon Temp to destroy us …" I quietly sobbed. "Don't cry baby," he quietly comforted me, as his fingertips brushed away my tears. "What are we gonna do?..."
(SOOKIE'S P.O.V)
The clock struck midnight, while Tara and I sat and watched an animal documentary in fascination on TV. "Tara," I said to her, suddenly turning to face her. "How are you holding up, since the big reveal Mario sprung on us?." "Well he did say he saw me die," Tara turned to me, and said matter of factly. "But you know… Just peachy." "So far we've been lucky," I said, pushing my hair out my face. "But this time I'm worried." Tara didn't say anything. Instead she stared back at me silently with a worried expression on her face. Thoughts of Mario's premonition lingered in my mind, as I thought about the future of Bon Temp. The hatred this mysterious villain had for Bon Temp was disturbing. From the looks of things it seemed that they would stop at nothing to destroy us. "Sookie," Tara interrupted my troubled thoughts. "I think I'm gonna call it a night, and head to bed." Tara said stretching. "Ok," I said, yawning. "I'm right behind you."
"SOOKIE!," Tara and I suddenly heard someone scream my name. We both scrambled to our feet in a panic, as the person continued to scream. I flung open my front door to see Luna Garza( A shifter who was Sam Merlotte's previous love interest in the canon series) screaming and crying at the sametime. Luna wore a fitted beige silk nightgown that was dirty and torn, while she lay on my steps struggling to stand up. "Oh my god Luna!," I managed to say as Tara, and I ran down the stairs to help her. "Emma is gone!." Luna screamed hysterically. "What do you mean she's-" Tara stopped mid sentence, as she stared beyond my driveway. "Sookie…" Tara whispered, as her eyes widened in fear. "It's starting again!," Luna continued to scream. "This time Emma is missing!." "Where is Sam?," I asked Luna. "I can't get onto Sam at this moment. He went to the next town to conduct some business.
I-I-I tried calling him, but I couldn't get onto him." "Sookie, she's right. There are kids everywhere past your driveway, that are moving around in a daze like they're under some sort of spell."Tara confirmed. "Luna, can you walk?," I suddenly asked. She shook her head yes. "I'm gonna take you to my car. We're going to Bill's."
