Alex held tightly to Olivia's hand as they walked into the building and stopped to look at the directory on the wall.
"Dr. Olivet, sixth floor, suite fifty two." Olivia read aloud.
They stepped up to the elevator, pushed the button, and waited for it to arrive. Alex breathed a sigh as she rested her head against Olivia's shoulder. Olivia lovingly squeezed Alex's hand and kissed the top of her head.
"It's going to be okay, baby, it's just speech therapy. You already know what to expect because you've done it before. The only difference is this time you aren't living at the Transition Station, you are home with me where you belong. I'll bring you here for your sessions and then I'll take you home afterwards." Olivia explained.
"N-N-No-Nobody… i-is… g-go-going… t-to… c-c-care… a-a-about… m-m-my… s-s-st-st-stutter… if… I-I'm… j-j-just… g-going… to… b-b-be… p-p-put… i-in… p-p-prison… a-a-any-anyway." Alex whined, and she tensed a little when Olivia gently patted her jean-clad bottom in warning. Normally, whining would earn Alex a warning spank, but since they were in a public building with lots of people walking around, Olivia wasn't going to do that to her this one time.
"Don't whine. You aren't going to prison, Barba is doing everything in his power to help you. Dr. Lindstrom recommended putting you back in speech therapy for a while, so that's what we're going to do because it's what's best for you." Olivia said, using her Mistress voice.
"Yes, Ma'am." Alex answered respectfully, responding submissively to Olivia's tone.
"That's my good girl." Olivia praised as they stepped onto the elevator and rode up to their destination.
"You did great work today, Alex. I'm sending you home with a set of flashcards to keep, and I want you to practice with them at least once every day, preferably twice a day if you can find the time. I'll see you for your next session on Tuesday." Dr. Olivet said with a kind smile at the end of Alex's therapy session.
"Th-Th-Thank… y-you." Alex replied, holding the stack of flashcards in her hands.
Alex had opted to go into Dr. Olivet's office by herself, so Olivia was sitting in the waiting room flipping through an old magazine. The brunette detective looked up and smiled when the door opened and Alex walked up to her.
"What have you got there, little one?" Olivia inquired, setting the magazine aside and standing up.
"H-H-Ho-Homework." Alex wrinkled her nose cutely, making Olivia chuckle.
"Freeze, baby girl. You have chores to do before you melt your brain on that machine." Olivia offered a gentle reminder when they arrived home and Alex sat down on the couch, reaching for the TV remote.
"J-J-Just… o-one… h-ho-hour?" Alex asked hopefully.
"No, you know the rules. I already let you get away with not doing the breakfast dishes right after breakfast this morning because we were running late for your appointment with Dr. Olivet, so now there's a pile of dishes waiting for you and they don't have legs so they aren't going to walk themselves to the sink, and there's a pile of ironing that needs to be done or I'm not going to have any pants to wear to work next week."
"Y-Yes, M-M-Ma'am." Alex obediently stood from the couch.
"Good girl." Olivia praised, giving Alex an affectionate spank as she passed by and making the blonde smile.
While Alex was tending to her regular chores, Olivia sat down on the couch with a stack of files.
"M-M-Ma'am… w-wo-would… y-y-you… l-like… a g-g-g-glass… o-of… i-ice… t-t-tea?" Alex inquired.
"That would be great, lovey. Thank you." Olivia looked up from her paperwork.
Alex dropped to her knees at Olivia's feet and offered her a glass of freshly made ice tea, then she got up to return to her work. When her chores were completed, she again dropped to her knees at Olivia's feet and quietly waited to be acknowledged.
"Hey, sweetheart." Olivia smiled.
"M-Ma'am… c-c-can… I-I… h-ha-have… a c-c-cu-cuddle?" Alex asked hopefully.
"Of course. Come here, my angel." Olivia set her work aside.
Olivia cuddled Alex on her lap, rhythmically patting Alex's bottom to soothe her as Alex snuggled down into her arms and the two women sat together in the peaceful silence.
"Th-Th-Thank… y-y-you… M-Ma'am." Alex blushed lightly.
"For what, sweetie?" Olivia asked curiously, gently rocking Alex in her arms.
"J-J-Just… f-for… l-l-l-loving… m-me." Alex smiled.
"I will always love you, baby girl." Olivia gently kissed Alex's forehead, nose, and lips.
The days passed by peacefully enough, and Olivia laughed when she walked into the precinct and was greeted by Elliot who wrapped her in a dramatic hug.
"Captain, thank God you're back. I don't know how you do it, this job sucks."
"There, there, good soldier. Everything's fine, Mommy's home." Olivia teased, patting his bald head.
"Hey, Sergeant, there's a call on line- oh, welcome back, Captain." Kat said when she noticed Olivia's presence.
"Hey. Put it through to my office, I'll take it." Olivia instructed.
"Yes, Ma'am. Line two." Kat replied and turned to transfer the call.
"Where's my rookie?" Olivia noticed Grace's empty desk.
"Late again, third time this week. Liv, somebody's got to do something about that girl's wardrobe." Elliot said.
"You're her Sergeant, Elliot, straighten her out."
"I'm a guy, I don't give fashion advice."
Olivia rolled her eyes as she went into her office, picked up the phone, and pressed a button.
"Special Victims Unit, this is Captain Benson."
"Captain Benson, this is Trevor Langan with Manhattan's ACS facility. A while back you were involved in a case where a child named Emma Brightman was brought into our care."
"Oh, yes. How is she?" Olivia inquired.
"Not well, I'm afraid. Emma's adoption fell through so she's back in our care now at the facility and our staff member who was planning to adopt her has been fired for child abuse."
Upon hearing this, Olivia's heart broke for the little girl.
"Emma is currently at Mercy hospital and she's been asking to see the nice detective lady who helped her change her clothes." Trevor continued to speak.
"I'll make some time to go down there this afternoon." Olivia agreed immediately.
"Hi." Emma smiled up at Olivia with a black eye and an oxygen tube in her nose when the brunette detective walked into her room at Mercy hospital.
"Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?" Olivia asked, returning the smile.
"Okay, it doesn't hurt anymore, the doctor fixed me. I forgot your name." Emma blushed lightly.
"It's Captain Benson. But you can call me Olivia." Olivia sat down on a chair next to Emma's bed and patiently listened to Emma's innocent chatter.
"Captain Benson, I'm sorry to interrupt your visit, but we need to take Emma down to get some x-rays." the nurse said as she walked into the room pushing an empty wheelchair with the doctor trailing behind her.
"But you already took a bunch." Emma whined with a slight cough.
"I know, honey, but Dr. Rogers says we need to take more and he's the boss. Come along, your chariot awaits."
"What happened to her?" Olivia spoke to Dr. Rogers when Emma was safely out of earshot.
"Her foster mother pushed her down a flight of stairs. She has a black eye, bruising on her ribs and backside, and based on the scans we did of her lungs she hasn't been taking her medication or getting any kind of treatment for the cystic fibrosis for at least a month, maybe more. On top of all of that, there are signs of new sexual trauma in addition to what was there before."
"I'll send two of my detectives to pick up the foster parents." Olivia reached for her cell phone.
When Emma came back from getting her x-rays, the little girl squeezed Olivia's hand with all her strength as the nurse drew blood from her arm.
"Owie!" Emma whimpered with tears in her pretty gray eyes.
"I know, sweetie. That's a good girl, you're being very brave." Olivia praised kindly.
Olivia stayed at the hospital for another hour and quietly slipped out of the room when Emma fell asleep, planting a gentle kiss on the sleeping child's forehead. The brunette detective got into her car and drove back to the precinct.
"Ed. Which one of my detectives did what this time?" Olivia greeted with a sigh as she walked into her office and found Ed Tucker waiting for her.
"Nice to see you too, Olivia. I just stopped by to let you know that we're investigating one of your people. Detective Rollins was spotted at an illegal gambling club by an officer during an undercover investigation."
"I'm well aware. She was undercover on my orders." Olivia lied smoothly.
"And you didn't think to inform me?"
"Must have slipped my mind."
Ed rolled his eyes and stood up to leave.
"Just keep me in the loop next time. Have a nice afternoon."
"Rollins, my office." Olivia ordered when Ed was gone.
"You wanted to see me, Captain?" Amanda walked into Olivia's office.
"Close the door and sit down, Detective."
Amanda gulped nervously and did as she was told. Olivia obviously didn't call her in for a friendly chat, the stern tone of Olivia's voice most likely meant that Amanda's backside was in very big trouble.
"What did Ed Tucker want?" Amanda inquired hesitantly.
"The good news is that I just put my neck on the line for you to keep your job, so I don't have to fire you today. The bad news is that you are about to have a very painful time sitting down for at least the rest of the day. What the hell were you doing at an illegal gambling club?"
"H-how did you know?" Amanda hesitated.
"An undercover officer saw you there. Start explaining."
The entire story came spilling out as Amanda reluctantly admitted to struggling with a gambling addiction for the past several years. To her surprise, when she was finished speaking, Olivia reached into a drawer and handed her a small card.
"Here's the number of Alex's therapist, Dr. Lindstrom. I want you to call him today, just to get a referral. As your friend, I care about you and I want to help you. As your boss, this is your first and last warning. I can't have you knowingly breaking the law and working here at the same time. I had to lie to Ed, and if you can't get a handle on this, I will take your shield. Pants down, and bend over my desk." Olivia ordered, standing from her desk and retrieving the cane from its hook on the wall.
Amanda whimpered as she obediently pulled her pants down to her knees and bent across the desk, holding on tight to the other side, offering her panty-clad bottom for punishment, clenching and unclenching in fearful anticipation of the pain she knew was coming.
SMACK!
"OUCH! One, thank you, Ma'am!" Amanda winced.
Olivia was lenient and let Amanda off with only twelve licks of the cane, six over her panties and six on her bare bottom. By the time it was over, Amanda's bottom was red and she was crying freely.
"Well taken, Detective. You can get up when you want to and get dressed." Olivia put the cane back on the wall.
Amanda cried for a minute and then slowly pushed herself up from the desk and reluctantly pulled her panties and pants up over her punished bottom, wincing as the material rubbed against her bottom. The blonde breathed a sigh of relief as she found herself wrapped in a forgiving embrace.
"You're my best friend, Amanda, I would hate for this addiction to ruin your life. When you go back to your desk, I want you to call Dr. Lindstrom first thing before you go back to your work."
"Yes, Ma'am." Amanda sniffled, reaching up to wipe away the last of her tears.
"Good. Back to your desk now. You may swap your chair for a padded one if you want to." Olivia told her.
"Yes, Ma'am. And I'll text Casey and tell her to have the arnica ready when I get home." Amanda chuckled, making Olivia smile. If Amanda was cracking jokes, it meant that she was okay.
"Sorry to interrupt, Captain, there's been a disturbance reported at your address. One of your neighbors reported that they heard a woman screaming bloody murder in your apartment." Fin popped his head into Olivia's office.
Olivia gathered her things and ran to the elevator as fast as her legs could carry her.
