Percy Jackson

"Annabeth, what—" Percy said only to be cut off when the blonde demigoddess slapped him across the face, the slap echoing through the cell.

He fell to the side, putting a hand over his cheek. He gasped in pain. Annabeth slapped him like she hated him. The skin felt warm to the touch, a stinging sensation spreading across his face. He slowly looked up to meet Annabeth's gaze.

The daughter of Athena looked down at him, her smile not wavering but her gray eyes were harsh and full of rage. Her hand twitched, as if she was going to slap him again.

Percy's eyes drifted to the bronze dagger that she had sheathed in her right forearm guard. He failed to notice that small detail, he didn't know if she had that when she captured him. He knew she didn't have the sword strapped to her side.

Annabeth knelt down to his level and softly tilted his chin up so he was looking straight at her, "It's about time I caught you. Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for you? You should be grateful I left your mom alone."

Percy glared at her, how dare she bring his mom into this? Even if he liked Annabeth, he didn't know this Annabeth. This one was acting a lot more like Luke, not the Annabeth he used to know. His heart hurt at that thought.

"Why'd you do it?" He asked through gritted teeth, "It would've worked. You know what my fatal flaw is."

Annabeth threw her head back and laughed, "Well, it's pretty easy actually. I wanted to prove that I didn't need hostages to get what I want, I'm better than Hades or Ares. Now, I got you."

Percy got to his feet, shoving Annabeth away from him.

Annabeth grunted when she got pushed but she steadied herself and glared at him, "You shouldn't have done that."

"How about you go fuck yourself?" Percy asked.

Annabeth reached for her sword but paused. She smiled and instead drew her dagger instead, the same dagger she always used. Percy drew Riptide and glared at her. Both demigods stared each other down as they moved in a circle.

"I'll make this quick." Annabeth said confidently, "Just like old times, huh?"

Percy anticipated her attack before she even got to him. He raised his sword and blocked her first strike. The shock of her attack reverbed through his forearm. He pushed her back and retaliated with his own attack. Each swing he took was powerful enough that one could be deadly. Annabeth must've known this since she dodged each attack with a careful stride.

"My, my, Percy." Annabeth chided, "You're sloppy. I remember you being faster than this."

Percy gritted his teeth. He increased the pace of his attacks. If he could disarm her, then he could take her prisoner, and maybe she'd become his ticket out of this place.

Annabeth then did something he wasn't expecting. She caught his sword with her dagger and used her free hand to pinch the pressure point on his wrist. Naturally, his hand let go of his sword. Riptide clattered to the ground.

Annabeth smirked at him, "Oops, dropped your sword."

"Fuck you." He spat.

Annabeth hauled back and punched him. The punch made a loud cracking sound as he fell to the floor. Most guys wouldn't expect girls to hit hard, but most guys hadn't met Annabeth. She hit harder than some mortal guys Percy knew. He was surprised he didn't lose a tooth. His vision blurred as Annabeth walked towards him and punched him in the face again.

Percy fell to his knees, gasping in pain. Annabeth strutted to his side and placed a well-aimed kick to his ribs. He let out a yell as the shock of her kick bounced through his body. He fell on his side and wheezed. His eyes glanced at Annabeth. She stared down at him, only to stomp on his ribs yet again. Each time she stomped on him, she let out angry grunts. The pain was nearly unbearable.

Percy tried to roll away or cover himself but Annabeth was ruthless. She was going to kill him, he was sure of it.

Annabeth knelt down and grabbed him by the back of his neck, "You're going to tell me what I want to know. Don't try being a smartass."

"Fuck off, I'm not telling you shit!" Percy said.

"Shut up!" Annabeth slapped him again.

Percy grunted and spat out blood. He felt more blood pooling in his mouth. He noted Annabeth stiffened a little when she saw the blood, but she didn't release the grip on his neck.

"Come on, Percy, just tell me something." She said.

Percy shook his head, he wasn't going to break. He wasn't going to let Annabeth get anything out of him.

"No." He groaned.

"Fine, tell me how many new campers there are at camp." Annabeth demanded.

Percy shook his head again.

"Tell me!" Annabeth shouted, kicking him.

Percy tried not to show any reaction to her brutal tactics but he was still half-human. The pain made his eye twitch. Warm blood propelled up his throat and out his mouth, spilling onto the floor.

Annabeth stared at the bloody stain with wide eyes. She let go his neck and stood up. She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"I hate that you're so loyal." She said, "I guess I'll have to beat what I want out of you."

For the next hour or so, loud banging sounds came from the cell. The sound of blunt force impacting against skin became a common ambient noise. Percy's shouts and yells echoed through the chambers. The door had been shut by Annabeth when she started the beating. The door shook as Percy was presumably thrown against it.

Percy's head hurt from taking so many hits. Annabeth had already snapped one of his fingers in an effort to make him talk. His ribs felt broken, every breath he took made him feel like he was going to cough up his lungs.

"Stop." Percy croaked.

"Tell me what I want to know and I'll stop!" Annabeth shouted, only to punch him yet again. Her knuckles were red and dripping with his blood.

Annabeth was about to resume another hour of torture on him when someone knocked on the cell door again. Annabeth stopped and looked at the door.

"What?" She yelled, "I'm busy right now!"

"Um, lord Kronos wants to see you." A voice on the other side said.

Annabeth growled before turning to Percy, "Stay here. If you run, I will catch you."

Percy watched as she picked up her helmet and stormed out of the cell.

He looked around the cell. The walls, floor, and even ceiling was bloody. The metallic smell of blood was in the air. He felt his face, wincing in pain when he touched any part of his face. He was certain both his eyes were black and his nose was broken. His body hurt from Annabeth's kicks and stomps.

He sat up and crossed his legs, turning away from the door. He sighed and looked down. He couldn't help but remember how hard Annabeth was hitting him. She clearly hated him now and that hurt more than anything else. She seemed almost amused by the torture. A tear dripped out of his eye and onto the floor.

Annabeth Chase

"You wanted to see me?" Annabeth asked as she walked into Kronos's throne room.

Kronos, still in Luke's body, was sitting on an elaborate gold and black throne. He wore a long golden gown that seemed to dance as light hit it.

Annabeth knelt down, though she didn't really care for the whole respect thing.

The throne room was actually designed by her. Kronos had it renovated after she told him that it was mediocre at best. It was a ballsy move, but the Titan lord looked somewhat impressed when she gave him her proposals.

The columns were made in the natural Athenian style. Of course there were small changes, such as the marble being painted with golden paint to make it looked like it was made of gold. There were small carvings of the Greek gods being destroyed one by one.

Various paintings of battle scenes hung from the black walls of the throne room. The only windows were behind the throne. They gave a great view of the forests outside the mountain they had built the throne room in. Kronos chose the location to hide from demigods and their excursions. Annabeth couldn't help but think the scenery was somewhat romantic.

Annabeth harbored no romantic feelings towards Kronos or even Luke. She swore off of romance when Kronos captured her. Love did nothing but let her down. Just when she thought she was getting somewhere with Percy, the Fates have her get captured.

She, like Percy, spent months in a lowly cell. The difference between them was that she eventually accepted the Titan lord's proposal to join him. She had her own reason for joining him, not even Percy would ever know.

She thought back to Percy sitting in his little cell. He should've counted himself lucky that it was her torturing him, not Kronos. She had the unlucky obstacle of being tortured by Kronos himself. He even tried to force himself on her, which nearly led to her almost castrating the Titan lord. He never made another attempt after that.

"Annabeth." Kronos said, "I heard from a guard you were torturing Perseus."

Annabeth stood, "Yes, I was."

"May I ask why?" The Titan lord looked unimpressed.

"Because he's the enemy!" She exclaimed, "That's enough!"

Kronos sighed, "For someone of your intelligence, that is a pretty unwise judgement of him."

Annabeth paused, "What?"

"Percy Jackson may be our enemy, for now. I want you to ease him into becoming one of ours." Kronos said, "He's too important. If he turns to us, I may let you partner with him."

Annabeth thought about the prospect of partnering with Percy. She secretly missed the son of Poseidon. She never let it show, not even to her 'friends' in the Titan army. She'd lie awake at night thinking about him, wondering if he was okay. Then she'd remember it was his fault she got captured. If he hadn't tried to change the prophecy, they would've won by now.

"Do not kill him, Annabeth." Kronos said, "If you kill him, one of the other Big Three children will become the prophecy child. As long as we have him, the prophecy child will remain in our custody."

"So you want me to turn him against the gods?" Annabeth asked.

Kronos smiled, "Yes. Use any method you can think of in that brain of yours, just do not kill him."
