The evening passed without anyone noticing. There was practically nothing left in the living room when Aizawa opened the doors to dormitory 1A again. Eri slept in his arms with Midoriya. The light from the TV was shining on them. It illuminated the braids on their heads, which stuck out in all directions, with a soft glow. Uraraka was still in the kitchen. She was probably putting away the last of the dishes. There were noises coming from the laundry room. It looked like not everyone had gone to bed yet at this hour. Aizawa apologised for being late. He left, taking Eri with him.

In the dormitory, the morning began loud and busy. The sun had risen high enough to illuminate the small dining room. The pleasant smell of freshly cooked food wafted from the kitchen. It was accompanied by the clatter of plates and the sound of chairs being pushed back. The class slowly gathered. A new day was beginning.

Kirishima pushed back his chair and sat down at the table where Bakugou was sitting. Bakugou looked at him with a disgruntled expression.

"Good morning, Bakugou," Kirishima said cheerfully. He ignored Katsuki's mood and picked up the chopsticks.

Bakugou looked at his classmate again and nodded back to his plate. Suddenly, something was heard coming from the lift. The students looked up. They saw a dishevelled and seemingly sleep-deprived Midoriya. She dashed out into the street. She pulled her hair back into a low ponytail and straightened her tracksuit. As she disappeared out the door, a few confused looks followed her.

"What happened to her?" Iida asked as she entered the kitchen. "I tried to stop her, but she said she had to rush."

The reply was shrugged. She had gone to bed later than the others last night. She had probably slept through some kind of morning meeting. But who could see Midoriya in the morning anyway? All the students had probably just woken up and gone to school as well.

Bakugou looked at the clock hanging on the wall. He grinned.

"Man, you look scary," a passing Kaminari chuckled upon seeing Katsuki's expression.

"What did you say?" Bakugou gasped and lowered his eyes again. Katsuki pushed Denki away from him. She resumed eating, this time under Kirishima's curious gaze.

"Listen, Bakugou." Kirishima began ingratiatingly, unable to bear the curiosity. "About your words yesterday."

Bakugou let out a long sigh and rolled his eyes at the thought. It was normal for Izuku to share his worries with someone. Maybe even ask for advice on what to do. But this was different with Bakugou. In the past, Midoriya had been the only person who had been willing to listen to him and who had generally been a good listener. But now, the relationship between them was strained. All the unspoken thoughts and feelings could not reach their recipient.

It could not be said that Bakugou was not uncomfortable with the whole situation in some way, shape or form. As a matter of fact, it made him feel uncomfortable, and it was worrying as well. When their quarrel started to interfere with their studies, it was even worse. It was annoying, but it was scary to go to a meeting. After all, things had already started to get worse back then, in high school.

"Don't think anything wrong." Kirishima said conciliatorily. "I don't want to insist, but we're all worried about you. We may not be friends, but we're still classmates. We respect you both and want to help you as much as we can. But I want you to know that I will always support you.

Bakugou, who had listened to the whole speech, gritted his teeth. He could not take it anymore and jumped out of his seat. He glared angrily at Kirishima and made his way to the sink to do the dishes.

"What makes you think I need your damn help?"

Bakugou began to aggressively apply detergent, muttering curses under his breath and directing all his anger at the innocent plates. Exacerbated by Kirishima's persistent questions, the bad mood did not dissipate.

Eijiro muttered as he looked at Bakugou, "What's up with him lately?".

Kaminari, who was passing by, looked in the same direction and just shrugged.

"He hasn't changed much. He always walks around dissatisfied." Denki chuckled.

"No, now it's like he's, I don't know, worried or something." Kirishima scratched his head and exhaled. "Ugh, but how are you going to find out if he doesn't want to tell you anything?"

"I'll arrange it, don't worry. I'll get him to tell us everything," Mina said, joining the discussion.

"Kirishima hesitated: "Maybe you'd better not? Nevertheless, Mina was enthusiastic about the idea and was now planning the "kidnapping" of her taciturn friend.

Midoriya returned to the dormitory about an hour later. Catching an annoyed look from Iida and a greeting from her friends, Izuku made his way to the kitchen. She waved to Asui. Then she sat down at the same table.

"Are you okay, Midoriya-chan? You look a bit out of breath," Tsuyu asked as she put a hand on Izuku's shoulder.

"Midoriya groaned, "I overslept. She rubbed her face in an attempt to clear her head. "Yesterday has worn me out terribly."

"Iida must have been grumbling again this morning when you two crossed paths?"

Midoriya gave a sad grin and spread herself out like a puddle on the table. Asui got up to go to her room. Another man approached them. On Midoriya's head fell a small pile of papers.

"What?" Midoriya's head lifted in surprise. "Kacchan?"

Bakugou stared at Midoriya for a few minutes, then looked away and only then spoke.

"Aizawa-sensei told me to give this to you."

Midoriya grabbed the papers and ran her eyes over a few lines, smiling happily.

"Do you want to try this out in training?", Izuku exclaimed happily as he jumped up and grabbed Bakugou by the arm. Happily muttering to herself, she shook him.

Midoriya's eyes shone more intensely than before at that moment. Bakugou had an idea that she would be happy about the news, but not that happy. Sometimes, the thought crossed his mind. Maybe it was selfish, but it was so strong that Izuku didn't need it. By being able to use such a powerful quirk like One for All, she was only doing herself a disservice. Whether it was out of jealousy or perhaps out of genuine concern. At times like this, or even when he remembered yesterday's situation, when the girl sat with her little friend and did her fancy hair, she seemed so family friendly. After all, Midoriya was one of the closest people to Bakugou, so her simple smile couldn't help but resonate in the boy's heart.

"You want too much." Bakugou swung back stubbornly, not even trying to free himself from the tight grip.

"Why? Kacchan, this is such a great opportunity!" Midoriya continued to insist. She jerked Katsuki's hand slightly. She wanted to show him that she wasn't going to let him go so easily.

However, it seemed that she wasn't destined to continue her persuasion, because Iida appeared in the kitchen, who was about to leave for school. He started to go through to get out of the way. But the sight of Midoriya, still in her tracksuit, stopped him.

"You're not ready to go out yet, are you, Midoriya-kun? If you keep this up, you'll be late for class."

"What do you want, bespectacled?" Bakugou muttered as he freed himself from Midoriya's grip. He grabbed his friend by the collar and sent her to the lift so that she could get herself together as quickly as possible.

"Eh, nothing, Bakugou-kun," Iida said. He adjusted his glasses. He had already realised that Bakugou would make sure that Midoriya got to class on time. So he stopped worrying about it. "I am just happy for you."

Bakugou looked at his classmate. He was confused.

"What do you mean?"

Iida left Bakugou without a clear answer and walked away, reminding him one last time not to be late.

Five minutes went by, then another five minutes. And when the fifteenth minute was up, the lift doors finally swung open. Midoriya looked around. Bakugou's patience was about to run out. He stealthily approached and put his hand on Izuku's shoulder.

"Are you kidding?" shouted Bakugou, his palms smoking slightly.

"Wa-chan?" Midoriya shouted in fright, twitching slightly. "I thought you'd already left. M-maybe let's go?"

Midoriya nervously pulled her backpack up by the straps. With a slightly awkward step, she moved towards the exit. It was immediately obvious that being so close to Bakugou made her feel a little uncomfortable. It made her move a little unnatural. Bakugou, who was watching her, only tsked reluctantly and averted his gaze. While they had been standing almost directly next to each other a short while ago, now almost all of her classmates could fit between them. Human relations were too complicated. Bakugou didn't understand why Midoriya was behaving like this. It was even more annoying than the fact that they were having such a stupid fight in the first place.
