Once again, there was a lot of noise in dormitory 1A. Midoriya ran from corner to corner, seemingly very nervous.
"What's the occasion for a feast?" Mina asked as she came into the kitchen. "Mm, good smell."
"Don't touch it," Bakugou shouted, slapping the girl's hands. "You want to eat? Cook it yourself."
"Greedy," Mina muttered, rubbing where she'd been hit. "We're classmates, remember?"
"So?" muttered Bakugou reluctantly, and started cooking again. "That's not for you."
"Sorry, Ashido-san," Midoriya interrupted. "But I want it to be okay, because I invited Nakayama-kun. He doesn't have any desire to talk about himself at all."
"Why do you want him to reveal himself to you in such a hurry?"
"Oh, Todoroki-kun," Midoriya exclaimed. She had not expected him to approach her. "There must be a reason why he is a victim of this programme. It is my wish to help him. Yes, and if we're so inconvenient to him, then the sooner it's over, the better for him."
"Sometimes, you make it too difficult." Todoroki shrugged and went over to Bakugou. "Shall I help?"
"Go and help yourself!"
"I don't need any help," Todoroki protested. However, he stepped away from the stove.
"Kacchan, do you think he's going to come?" Midoriya asked as she checked the notifications on her mobile phone and came closer. "He's ignoring my messages."
"He'll be here," Bakugou said reluctantly, as if to wave the question away. "Where is this nervous one going to go?"
"And yet," Midoriya let out a sad breath and leaned against the table top. "Are you sure you're not in need of help?"
"You already helped once," Bakugou said. He pointed his knife at Midoriya's bandaged finger. Izuku hid the wounded finger behind her back. She looked at her mobile again as if nothing had happened. "Why am I doing this at all?"
"We're sitting in a relaxed atmosphere. You offer him a nice meal. Maybe it'll be the start of a conversation."
"I'm amazed at you, Midoriya," Mina said. She came closer. "You're trying so hard to fix him."
"Hagakure agreed: "He's a complicated character. I'd be exhausted after a few meetings with him, and you've been trying to get something out of him for so long."
"But that's not really the point." Midoriya was about to argue, but Mineta interrupted the conversation before she could.
"At least bring a girl," Mineta threw up his hands. Mina slapped him for it. "Chicks ain't that private!"
"Wait, I mean us!" Midoriya tried to intervene again, but it seemed that Nakayama's character was remembered negatively by many.
"Besides, he looks so scary sometimes, like we've done something to him," Mina said, shaking. "How can there ever be a cure for his condition?"
Just as Mina uttered the last sentence, there was a muffled, dull sound. Everyone saw Bakugo sticking a knife into a plank when they turned towards its source.
A passing Kirishima asked startled, "What are you doing, dude?"
Bakugou shouted, "Shut up!" He had a glare at Midoriya and then back to his classmates. "What gives you the idea that we're going to re-educate him anyway, huh?"
"Isn't that what your 'mission' is?"
"No," Midoriya finally managed to say. She looked at Bakugou appreciatively and seemed to calm down a little. - If he's in the programme, he has a problem. That doesn't mean we have to turn him into a good and kind person who treats everyone with respect. I want to help him solve his problem.
"How do you know you can help him?" asked Todoroki.
"I don't know," Midoriya said thoughtfully as she watched Bakugou finish the preparations. "But I want to help him anyway. Kacchan, are you ready?"
"Yep."
"Great!" exclaimed Midoriya, her spirits lifted by the unexpected encouragement from Bakugou. "Then let's go!"
Izuku grabbed Bakugou's arm and dragged him upstairs to the girls' section of the dormitory.
"I thought that if you made him more or less comfortable, he might open up to us. One of our rooms would be fine. And since you probably won't even let him see yours, I think it's best to let him stay in mine."
Midoriya stopped in front of the door and looked for the key.
"Couldn't you think of something stupider? He isn't allowed in your room."
"What's the big deal?" exclaimed Midoriya after he had finally figured out the lock.
Bakugou and Midoriya had never been in each other's rooms since Class 1-A moved into the dormitory. Probably because there hadn't really been any need for it. Looking around, Katsuki noticed with a smile that even though Midoriya had become the successor of the All Might, there hadn't been any less in her room. In fact, it could be said that there were even more things than the last time that Bakugou had been in her room.
"He already thinks you're mad."
"Is it because of that time that I started to talk about myself and no one stopped me until I realised that Nakayama-kun had already left?"
"That too."
"Don't exaggerate," Izuku brushed it off. She looked around their room with a critical eye. "It's not that bad in here. I'm sure he'll like it here."
"You must have gone crazy in this school!" exclaimed Nakayama and backed away from the ajar door.
He had arrived at the dormitory about ten minutes ago, and immediately ran into the overly curious Mina and Hagakure, who swarmed around him from all sides. It took Midoriya another two minutes to rescue him and get him to the lift, almost forcing him inside.
"Look," Nakayama tried to resist, but Midoriya was stronger than him. "You had a pretty good conversation without me last time, can it be the same this time?"
"Last time was my fault, sorry. I just start talking sometimes and it's hard to stop," Midoriya scratched his cheek embarrassed. "Especially when it comes to the All Might."
"Okay, all right!" exclaimed Fudo as he freed himself from Midoriya's grasp. "I'll go, but I'll tell you right now that I don't like your idea, whatever it is."
Midoriya led him to her room and opened the door. Inside, crouched on one of the cushions with the imprint of the All Might, was Bakugou. He held a plate with chopsticks in his hand and didn't look like he wanted to wait for the others.
" Kachchan! Why did you start without Nakayama-kun?"
"He's late and I'm really hungry! Why the hell should I wait for him?"
Midoriya jumped closer in an attempt to retrieve the plate, but Bakugou was ready for her and stuck out one of her legs, causing Izuku to fall to the ground. She rubbed the bruised area and decided to try her luck again. But she was stopped again.
"But he wasn't too late, he was held up!"
"Stop it, Izuku! I don't care what happened to him! Let him die, but he had to be on time! I have no patience for people who are late."
Bakugou and Midoriya drew away from each other, breathing out a sigh of relief. The fight had taken the last of their strength. Now, they tried to catch their breath without taking their eyes off each other.
"You must have gone crazy in this school!" exclaimed Nakayama and backed away from the ajar door. He was only halfway over the threshold. His knees buckled slightly when he crossed it and saw the place he had ended up in. He had already known that Midoriya was the number one fan of the former hero, but not to this extent.
Nakayama ran out into the corridor and hurried to the lift. He left a stunned Midoriya and Bakugou sitting on the floor.
