...

Tina didn't like the thought of his plan but she agreed to try. Without her, his plan would have been useless. Thankfully she had a small ability in Low Magick. This allowed him to add her with some strain to the communion. Her gasp in surprise and the way she shook spoke of too much strain. If she had been anyone else there was a good chance that she would have collapsed.

The strength of her will kept her up as they were led out of the cell. When he caught her eye she nodded. She would follow his plan.

Two female aurors opened their cell and indicated for them to exit. Both Newt and Tina did so. Wands from the aurors were pointed at their backs and the cells were closed again.

Through his bond with Teddy and Nancy, he calmed his creature. Soothing their fears. They could tell something wasn't right and wanted to know where he was. In time with his emotions, the ground began to shake. The aurors looked around them with surprise and just a hint of fear.

They were led up into the bowels of the Ministry. Newt could see many aurors now and even Madame President. This was as good as any time. He was an Elemental and there was not a single leader in their world that would risk an Elemental's wrath.

Newt pressed a single emotion to Tina causing her to start and look at him. Now? Her eyes seemed to ask. Hid returned the look and he pressed the emotion back through. Now.

In his communion, he could feel the false Graves heading their way. Tina would take care of him. Her sharing magic through communion would allow for a strong wandless spell. His job would be to keep the aurors from going after her. He turned to face the two aurors.

Immediately Tina stepped back so that she was back to back with him. Newt threw a hand up focusing his magic to throw back the two. A blast of magic threw them into the air and around them the shook.

"What the hell?"

"What magic is this?"

"Madame President!"

A male auror tried to grab at Newt. Newt simply stepped around the grab and slam his hand palm out into the man's chest. The force of it sent him flying back. Inside Newt a roar resounded. There was no question that it was his connection to Nancy.

Blazing green eyes caught the dark eyes of President Picquery. The strong woman flinched at the sight of his eyes. Around them, aurors were trying to encircle him and Newt threw out more magic at them. This would send them flying and more tried to replace them.

Picquery snapped causing the aurors to step back, "You fools! Enough give them space. This is Low Magick! Can you not recognize a Low Mage when you see one?"

The aurors exchanged looks but did as they were told. A loose circle formed around them with Picquery facing Newt. Low Mage was a new title to him. Typically they would name specialization. At least Picquery could not recognize him as an Elemental. That would be a disaster.

Newt's fingers twitched nervously. The magic encasing him wanted free. It wanted to tear down everything about it. This was one of the dangers of using other Low Magick when he communed. Ambient magic could not be controlled the same way that cored magic could. It was wild and even someone like him had the chance of being consumed by it.

Keeping one hand, his right hand up Newt said loud enough to be heard by all, "Keep back, aurors. I do not wish to injure anyone further but I will if you push me."

No one moved. They all continued to stare at him. All the stares made his skin crawl. He hated being stared at but there was no helping it right now.

Picquery asked after a moment, "What do you want, Mr. Scamander? Surely you know you won't get out of the Ministry? Low Mage or not."

Newt gave a smile as he asked, "Do you think can hold me? I don't want to do damage but I will not let you hurt my creatures."

Picquery seemed to consider him. For the first time, she seemed to really see him. The distaste that had been there before was gone. Then she looked back at the false Graves who was much closer now.

Newt drew more upon the ambient magic and Tina gasped. She very nearly fell time and several aurors hesitantly took a step forward. Still, he drew more and the shaking began even harder than before. Fear crossed Picquery's and the aurors' faces. Only the false Graves didn't show any fear. He showed interest in it shining in his dark eyes.

"Enough," Gasped Picquery, "Any more and you will bring down the building upon our heads."

Newt's green eyes practically glowed with the amount of power he was drawing. He didn't release it but he stopped from drawing anymore. For a moment he simply watched the aurors. Fake Graves moved closer to them and gave Tina the opening she needed. Wandlessly she sent a Revelio at him.

Immediately his features began to change into a familiar face. One that struck fear into the hearts of most citizens. Gellert Grindelwald the Dark Lord of their age. Now wasn't that a surprise?
