#77: Help from an Angel

Tuesday, in the school music room...

Sorry guys, can't talk. I'm on the phone with one of my friends from MegaCity. Remember the girl's name I mentioned in part fifty-one, Angel? Yeah, that's who I was on the phone with.

"Anything new in town?" "Well, yesterday was club picnic day. The clubs weren't the same without you." "Well, I was the only one that could handle being in all sixteen clubs at once." "*laughs* What about you? How's Metropolis?" "Aside from some girl that hates my guts, some dude that wanted me to work for him, and the crime that always happens each day, things are pretty good."

"What about that girl that likes you: Karen?" "Angel, I told you this." "Come on, Aaron, you have do something." "I don't know how to feel yet. Sure, I feel the same way, but I don't want any heartbreaks happening. It's like the books I've read, but it feels like a dream! Eventually, I have to wake up and head home because it's not good to keep secrets like this! I'm just some guy in a crowd that has to keep these things in my head! And another thing-"

"Aaron!" "What?" "Calm down. You're forgetting something." "What's that?" "Think about it. Better yet, sing about it. Your in a music room, right?"

I sighed. What is with her and singing?

I then went to a piano and set my phone down on it, with Angel listening. I started playing.

Why follow the herd?

"There you go!" "Angel, thank you!" I said picking up my phone, "That's it. Today, I'm gonna talk to Karen and tell her that I like her back." "Go get him, Aaron. Good luck."

We ended the call.

Okay, time to tell K my feelings. And I know just how to too.

#78: Upgrades Galore

Later that day...

On top of a building, we see Techno and Bumblebee. Techno's doing something to Bumblebee's suit. Oh, he just finished.

"And done. K, you are going to love the stuff I did to your suit. I'll run you through it." Techno jump blasted off the building leaving Bumblebee by herself.

On her helmet's communication system Tech was calling her. "Hello! Can you hear me, K?" "Yep." "Okay, I added five major upgrades to your suit. Here's your first one: an audio scanner." "Audio scanner?" "Yep. When your trying to get some important info from someone and you can't get in to where they are, this can help you out. Just look through a window with your visor and you can hear what's going on inside the room. Try it out."

Bumblebee looked around and saw a window and used the audio scanner.

"Dude! You gave me salt! Not sugar! You ruined my cake!" "How was I supposed to know the difference?! They were on the same shelf, had no labels, and were both white!"

"Maybe, I shouldn't have chose that window." "But hey, it works. Now behind door number two, we have something, well, someone I think you'll remember."

"HELLO, BUMBLEBEE."

"M.A.D.I.S.O.N.?" "CORRECT. TECHNO HAS ALLOWED ACCESS TO ME THROUGH YOUR SUIT." "Really? Why?" "Karen, you know I trust you, right? Well, that means that I trust you with M.A.D.I.S.O.N. too."

She blushed.

"Now for the third upgrade. Your stingers double as the disruptor darts I made for my gloves. They trap certain weapons, and can be used to track vehicles. You can use those later. For now, take a look around."

She did and through her visor there was a blinking hexagon marking somewhere down the street. "What's that?" "That marker's a crime alert. It shows where it is in town. I'm there right now. It's Giganta again. Meet me there." "On the way."

She flew off.

At said location...

"There you are." Tech said as Bumblebee landed by him. They both ducked under a car Giganta threw at them. "Your gonna pay for what you did, Tech." She said as she stomped toward them. She's still sore about what happened this weekend.

"Time for the last upgrade. Let me remind you, this will only work when I'm around and only after every five hours. Ready for it?" "Ready. What is it?" "Well, there's a button on your wrist. You should press it."

She saw it and pressed it. Out of nowhere, some of Techno's energy went into Bumblebee's suit. The suit started pixelating and to her and Giganta's surprise, it started making her grow! She kept growing until it was almost the height Tech was when he's GigaTech!

Bumblebee looked at herself with shock and said, "Wha-?! How-?!" "Something called an Anti-Microchip!" He shouted at her, "Well?! What do you think?!" "What do I think? I love it!" He blast jumped onto her shoulder then said, "Well lets put it to the test, Giantbee!"

She nodded and she and Giganta went head to head, giant versus giant.

The both started throwing hands, not hitting each other. Giganta caught Giantbee's fist, only to quickly let go when a stinger shot out and hit her in the face. They went back to punching and this time, Giantbee barley caught Giganta's fist. This made Giganta smirk. Yet, the smirk was gone when Giantbee grabbed the wrist and hit Giganta in the face with her own fist. She then swept her legs. When she hit the ground, Giantbee got an idea when she saw a an electrical tower in the background.

"Techno, remember the Power Tower from the game?" "Oh, I see where this is going."

She flew to it and they did exactly what the two did in the videogame. As Giganta held her head getting up,

Giantbee grabbed the tower as Techno jumped on the top and she yanked it out of the ground. She flied fast toward Giganta and right when they were just in front of her, Giantbee used the tower and hit her and that combined with Techno hitting her in the back of the head she and Tech went flying. In the air, Techno blasted towards her, landed on her, and pushed her down to the ground with his feet. You could her the slam from a far distance when they hit the ground.

Giantbee came and saw Techno standing on a knocked out Giganta. He got off her and ran to Giantbee. "I'd hug you if I wasn't this big." She said. "That's easy, just press the button again!"

She looked at the button and pressed it. Pixels covered her suit and she started shrinking back to her normal size.

"Better?" he said when she was her normal size. She responded by throwing her arms around his neck, hugging him. "More than better! You're the best!" He hugged her back and said, "You girls really need to stop giving me so much praise. It'll get to my head."

#79: Confession Expression

Later that day...

We're in our normal attire and right now I'm walking Karen home.

Right now we're talking about today.

"You know, I knew the game was a great idea, but I didn't think we'd use any of the power moves in real life. Nice thinking." "Thank you, Aaron. And thanks again for the big upgrade." "I do it for a living, K."

We made it to Karen's house and before she got it, I got a hold of my courage and said, "Hey K," She turned to me. "*breathes*Look, K, I know about you looking into my memories. And I know you know about the rest of my exes."

"Aaron, I-"

"Let me finish. Ever since my tenth breakup, I've been having trust issues with who I fell in love with. *exhales* I set that straight after thinking it through today."

Why is this so hard?

"Karen, don't tell the others this, but you're the greatest girl I've ever met. You're smart, kind, you've got potential, everything that my past girlfriends didn't have. You're special, one in a million, nothing can replace that.

What I'm trying to say is, I've been thinking it through and now...I'm in love with you K."

How on Earth was that so hard to say? I've done much scarier stuff than this, and somehow, this is the one thing that gets me nervous? My God.

Hey what? Karen just hugged me tight.

"Aaron, I love you too! I've loved you for a long time!"

She let go of me and said as she looked in my eyes, "You're one of the best people I've ever met. I don't think there's anyone that can match the same level as you. What's wrong?"

She asked that because I was looking away.

"You know me K, I'm not exactly perfect. I'm surprised you chose me out of all people."

"I don't want someone perfect," She put her arms around my neck. "I want you."

As we looked in each other's eyes we inched closer to each other.

To put things short, we kissed. For a good minute.

#80: A and K

Tomorrow at school...

"I'm so happy for you guys!"

In the hallway, Jessica hugged both Aaron and Karen. They just told the news to the rest of the group. Babs was thinking of a good ship name, but it's hard to think of a good name if their names rhyme.

If you guys have a good ship name for Aaron and Karen, please tell me.

Just as Jess let go of them, the school bell rang signaling that it was time for the next class.

The new couple said bye to they're friends and went to the social studies class they had together, hand in hand.

Just when they were right in front of the door, Doris showed up trying to spoil their mood. She made a snarky comment about them being together and Aaron said this,

"Thank you, Doris. Nice to see your happy for us." She was taken aback by this and said, "Wha-? No! This doesn't embarrass you at all?" "You call this embarrassing?"

He suddenly and unexpectedly pulled Karen in for a deep and long kiss, something both girls were not ready for.

Doris stormed off, and Aaron released Karen who was now red in the face, had spirals in her eyes, and a grin. "You okay?" he said. She couldn't respond.

Aaron rolled his eyes smiling and walked into the classroom dragging Karen with him.
