Chapter 10: Parallel Dimensions
The island that you're standing in right now is know as Gorm but you may not know much about what is ACTUALLY going on. You kids may notice that there's a ferocious volcano above the trees. Long ago, that volcano erupted in which one of the tribes, the Fire Gormiti, appeared from the flowing lava! All they ever wanted to do was destroy the peaceful island which consisted of the remaining four tribes; air, water, forest, and earth. Their leader, Magmion is the one who wishes to take over the island of Gorm under his evil rule! After one particular fight, the father of Gorm, which I'm not allowed to say, used his tears from anger and sadness to create powerful Gormiti each linked with the elements in order to protect the attacks from any more Fire Gormiti. In each tribe, there were leaders called the Lords of Nature and they made a promise to their master to protect the Island of Gorm to restore peace. Unfortunately, this did cause friction and peace was never returned to the island of Gorm.
Once Razzle had finished telling his story, the kids felt a wave of emotions over them. Toby felt shocked. Nick felt confused. Jessica almost had tears in her eyes. And Lucas felt a knot twist in his stomach.
Not one of the kids dare to speak after the events that they were told. Eventually, it was Nick who decided to speak: "So…what happened to the Lords of Nature after that?"
Razzle looked at Nick with sadness. "I'm afraid before you kids came, the Lords of Nature just…vanished."
"Vanished?" questioned Lucas. "As in…disappeared?"
The lizard nodded his head regretfully. "Legends say that they might have due to Magmion's attacks but so far, no word has ever came of their return."
Toby felt a huge lump in his throat. "Wait. So, if the Lords just vanished before we came in, what's going to happened to Gorm?" he asked, worriedly.
"That's even more bad news," Razzle went on, going around in a circle. "The problems that occur in Gorm have a negative impact on your dimension."
Jessica let her mouth dropped in shock. "You mean that all these natural disasters that keep happening in our world is cause by…a war?"
She noticed that Razzle meant it seriously when he nodded his head again.
"I first noticed these problems while I was in Gorm, but I also went into deeper research at the Primal Pad," Razzle noted.
Nick's brain suddenly went into action hearing the words. "Primal Pad?" He placed his finger on his chin, doing the usual 'thinking pose' according to Toby. "You mean that-"
"Oh!" Razzle's eyes widened at Nick's question. "You must be talking about the place above Gorm? Yes. I guess you must have gotten here through the portal."
Toby slammed his fist into his palm. "So that's what the glowing thing is!" he confirmed.
"You're correct, Toby," Razzle answered him in a proper tone. "But why did you come through there?"
Everyone looked at each other in confusion. At the moment, the kids haven't got a clue as to why they are here in Gorm. Sure, it was strange and exciting to go into a new world but the fact that it was in danger was on a whole other level. The fact that the ongoing fights in Gorm was the main culprit of the nature problems back in Venture Falls was one reason but is there any way to stop this?
"I don't know why we're here or why we came through the portal," Toby began to answer, his hands were covered in sweat as he rubbed them together. "But…but. I don't want to face another natural disaster here in Venture Falls! This fighting has got to stop in Gorm if we need to save both of our worlds! If that's the case, then I'm finding a way to stop this!"
"I'm with you, Toby!"
Toby was surprised to see his younger brother stood up beside him.
"You're right. We need to sort this out if we want to have a peaceful return to Gorm! So no matter what happens, I'm going to save it too!"
"Me too!" Lucas also decided to join in with the battle. "I don't care if we had to face numerous enemies although way but I'm going to bring peace to Gorm as well!"
"What about you, Jessica?" asked Toby.
Jessica, still wiping away tears, turned around. Her blue eyes noticed the boys all stood by each over, with a mission in mind. She thought it would be useless going but then the boys were right. If peace was ever going to return to both Venture Falls and Gorm, she would need to act. And fast.
She brushed herself off, and stood proud and strong. 'No more tears now, Jess' she thought bravely. 'Pull yourself together and be brave.'
"OK. If you are sure, then I'm coming too," she declared. "You could use a bit of girl power after all,"
Toby gave Jessica the biggest smile. "Thanks, Jess," he softly whispered.
Jessica smiled back at him. Then everyone turned to face each other. It was kind of silly but exciting at the same time to go on an adventure in another dimension, similar to Earth. Now, the fate of both worlds rest on their hands as they were about to start their mission to bring peace to Gorm for good.
"Are you sure we are ready to do it?" asked Lucas.
"I'm sure we'll be fine," reassured Toby. "What could possibly happen?"
"We need to make sure we need to be careful at all the things that happens," informed Nick. "We have to all stick together."
"Then we better get a move on then if we want to save both worlds!" instructed Jessica, ready for the adventure to begin.
"LET'S DO IT!"
