Chapter 18: Trouble Abound

As much as he tried, Lucas was doing the best that he could. He was using his vines to throw some of the Lava Gormiti into the Ocean while he also discover he could fire his bark fist towards them. Luckily it grew back really quickly so that he didn't have to worry about losing a hand.

Soon, he was feeling a bit tired.

"You shouldn't wear out your powers too much Lucas," worried Razzle concerned.

Lucas huffed with exhaustion. "I know that. I just need to save them for the final battle," he answered.

"Maybe I can help with that?" a voice called above from the sky.

Lucas looked up and saw some with pink wings gliding into view. From its appearance with its light blonde hair, it looked exactly like…

"Jessica? Is that you?" called out Lucas.

"Yes! It's me!" Jessica answered back despite the fact her voice changed into a mature version of herself. She flew over to where Lucas was standing. "Do you know what I have to do?"

"Try focusing your powers onto the army of Fire Gormiti coming our way," recommended Razzle. "And please do it quickly!"

Focusing on that aspect alone, Jessica placed her hands out in front of her hands and concreted on that. Closing her eyes, she imagined a fierce tornado or wind blast would appear in her palms when she used the powers of wind. Soon enough, swirls of pink, purple and sky blue soon appeared, creating a tornado swirl that was strong enough to blow everything away. The army of Lava Gormiti almost stood as still as statues before some of them were pulled away by Jessica's tornado. Only Lavion reminded standing with his crab claw plummeted into the stone bridge.

"You cannot let me fall of this bridge!" he cackled angrily. "I will get you Lords of Nature!"

"Lucas!" Jessica panted.

Upon hearing his name, Lucas immediately acted. He switched his hand into bundle of brown vines which then grabbed the other end of the bridge. He focused all his strength into breaking the bridge so that Lavion would tumble down into the sea. One by one, blocks of stone came of the bridge in which Lavion was beginning to lose his balance. It was not long before Lavion felt his claw was loose and he feel into the ocean with a plop.

Both Lords let go of their powers and had to catch their breaths for a few seconds.

"Well done!" cheered Razzle from the left side of Lucas. "You two were amazing together I must say!"

Jessica turned towards Lucas who was now the Lord of Forest. She almost dropped her mouth in shock. "I just said your name," she said in a soft voice. "Are you really Lucas?"

"Yes," Lucas simply answered. "You look good, Jess!"

"You think?" Jessica looked down at her Super Gormiti form and her wings. "I've never flown before but…" she paused a second to give her wings a proper flutter. "I guess I've got to get used to having wings."

Lucas gave a little giggle.

"Do you know where Nick and Toby have gone?" asked Jessica all of a sudden.

"They went to go and get their energy for their orbs when the Lava Gormiti attacked," Razzle explained to both Lords.

"You mean Toby actually WENT into the OCEAN?" hesitated Jessica in shock and horror. "But he could drown in there!"

"Not as a Sea Gormiti though, Jessica," reassured Razzle, who always had the knowledge of Gorm in his hands. "Since Toby has the Sea Orb, he can breath underwater as long as he has it,"

Jessica noticed Razzle emphasised on 'as long as he has it.' Which meant Toby would be fine if he had his orb safe; according to Razzle. She just hoped Toby would be ok, after all, she did care about him. A lot.

Toby thought he was floating in mid-air for a second. He felt rushes of what felt like a force float by him in a swiftly way than normal. He wasn't sure if he was going to fast but he knew it was super quick than normal. He decided it would the best option if he opened his eyes and so he did.

Toby could see that he wasn't floating at all. Well, almost floating. It was a mix of both swimming and floating at the same time. It was at that moment Toby realised he was in the ocean of Gorm.

It was a mostly dark blue atmosphere as oceans were usually were with a little light at the top so Toby could see the surface. The light shone down onto his Sea Orb. 'Phew!' At least he was glad it was still there in his arms. The only trouble now was finding his way around the place.

It wasn't long before a sea solider swam up to where Toby was.

"Swim forward and be recognised!" he demanded.

"Recognised?" Toby guessed, bubbles coming out of his mouth. 'Oh!' he suddenly realised something important. His Sea Orb was glowing a faint blue colour. 'I forgot I can breathe underwater if I have the orb!'

"Well…aren't you going to say something?" the sea solider once again asked Toby in frustration.

At first, Toby didn't know what to say. He was confused by what exactly what the sea solider had asked him for. Was it for demanding for something or was he asked to go to a special place under the ocean? Either way, both answers would be confusing to himself.

Finally, he answered: "I'm terribly sorry but it seems I have this orb is my hands. I don't know if there's somewhere around here if I could maybe give it energy, perhaps?"

'Ugh.' If only Nick had been here, things would be easier. Then again, Nick wouldn't be able to go underwater in case his Earth powers would let him just…sink.

The sea solider observed Toby for a second and then it nodded its head. "Come with me," it answered confidently. "And…hopefully you can swim,"

'I hope so, carrying this orb at the same time,' Toby thought nervously. Still worried about his thoughts, he followed the sea solider to whatever was waiting for him.

While he was running with his orb, Nick had to be careful where to run. He didn't want to make sure that he tripped over the tiny rocks in case he dropped his orb and it broke. That would have caused a major problem if that was the case since he was the one who had earth powers.

Nick decided it would be best to have a rest for a while due to all that running with the orb. After all, resting might be a good idea before going back to business. He spotted a little stone ledge in the distance that might be useful and went over and sat on it.

Placing his orb aside him, Nick took the time to admired the view in front of him. All there was just a cliff with an orangey sky behind it. Still, Nick took in every bit of detail within that cliff. From its cracks the top of the cliff where tiny bits of stone began to fall off. He raised his arm out, palm stretched and imagined him controlling the cliff but not damaging it in the process. Unfortunately, it wouldn't actually work this time but he hoped it would happen when he transformed.

All of a sudden, Nick felt the ground began to shake. 'An earthquake?' he thought fearfully, but that was just a sumption of what an earthquake felt like. Its vibration definitely felt strong and it started to worry Nick quite a bit. Standing up from his resting place, he quickly grabbed his Earth Orb before it fell off the ledge.

"This doesn't look good," he muttered to himself. "I better go to the Earth Temple and fast before more trouble occurs!"
