Recap:

Suddenly, her she heard her door to her quarters chime and she wondered who it could be.

"Enter."

In walked Spock and he looked at her.

"Is there something you need, Mr. Spock?" Jayme asked.

"Captain, may we speak." Spock stated.

"Sure, we can talk, Spock." Jayme said.

"Captain, may I ask how you deal with what humans call 'confusion in the heart' at times?" Spock said.

Jayme was stunned at first but then said with a smile, "It takes time sometimes to understand what you're feeling and sometimes it's confusing, illogical, and you're not sure if you should act upon it or not. There are times when humans just go for it and then there are times when humans want to figure it out first before jumping in right away."

"Captain, may I try something to see if it will help this confusion in my heart?" Spock asked.

Jayme nodded but what she didn't expect was for Spock to suddenly give her a Vulcan kiss that she gasped with surprise from shock.

"Fascinating." was all Spock when he saw his Captain's reaction to the kiss.

Jayme blushed furiously from the Vulcan kiss.

"Captain, are you alright?" Spock asked.

"Yes, I-I was just surprised that's all, Spock." Jayme said.

~~~~~~~~
"Indeed." Spock said responding to what she had said.
"Spock?" Jayme said.
"Yes, Captain?" Spock said.
"Are you wanting to...well would like to try?" Jayme said stumbling with her words.
Spock seemed to understand what his Captain was trying to get out because he realized that he made her what humans refer to as a blubbering mess and he was curious and said, "I would be willing to try. Captain was this your first kiss?"
"Well it was definitely my first kiss the Vulcan way and it was an experience that I will never forget." Jayme replied, "And before you ask the answer is no because I am 100% virgin."
Spock's brows went up in shock at his Captain being a virgin when she had been with a lot of men in her academy days so to speak.
Jayme couldn't believe she was literally having this conversation with Spock; but she figured that she better get it out of way. So, she explained everything to Spock whom was somewhat surprised that his Captain maintained her innocence for so long and not letting any human male 'pop her cherry ' as the phrase went.
"Captain, if I may ask as to why did you let people think that you weren't a virgin?" Spock asked.
Jayme sighed and said, "Spock, it's sort of embarrassing to say but if you must know; I wouldn't let any male pop my cherry because I thought about what my father would've done to the guy. Plus, Bones acts like an older brother towards me in a way."
"Basically, Captain, you are saying that I would have to ask Dr. McCoy for your hand?" Spock said.
Jayme blinked for a moment then said, "I guess that would be a way to look at it."
"Rest assure, Captain, that I will talk with Dr. McCoy." Spock said.
Jayme looked at Spock and she could've sworn that she saw some sort of emotion in eyes and she felt faint.
As if sensing something, Spock immediately reached out to catch his Captain before she hit the deck of the ship; which sent something through their bodies.
"What was that?" Jayme questioned looking at Spock.
"I do not know, Captain. It seems that an electric shock of sorts went through our bodies." Spock stated.
"It may be weird saying this, Spock but it sort of felt like a spark between us." Jayme said.
"I would agree with you, Captain." Spock stated.
Spock and Jayme continued talking with each other.
Moments later...
The crew of the Starship USS Enterprise and her Captain arrived at Star Base Yorktown Town. The crew disembarked from the Enterprise and went to see their families; however, some of the crew were shocked when they saw their Captain and First Officer disembark from the ship together.
McCoy's and Nyota's jaws went slack because they were in sort of disbelief at what they were seeing right now; but they couldn't help but wonder why they had disembarked together.
Scotty just grinned at seeing his Captain and the Science Officer side by side.
Apparently, Jayme and Spock were still talking when a pair of Vulcans approached them immediately.
McCoy and the others watched as the conversation took place and wondered what they were talking about. Then Bones watched as Jayme's hand flew to her mouth which indicated shock of sorts. Whatever the two Vulcans were saying to Jayme and Spock; Bones could tell that it wasn't good news by Jayme's reactions.
Whatever was said, Bones noticed that the Captain nodded and let Spock go with the other Vulcans for a while and then he watched as the Captain walk off towards the Commanding Officer of the Star Base's office.
Then several minutes later, the crew of the Enterprise found themselves in the midst of battle with an unknown enemy from a planet where you have travel through a nebula storm of storm. After an hour or so, the Enterprise was under attack and Jayme decided to have the crew abandon the ship. Crew members were evacuating the ship by making their way to the escape pods.
Jayme was the last to leave the ship and watched as most of her crew was captured by the unknown enemy aside from what Nyota had done moments earlier. She couldn't believe that this was happening over a gift that they were to give to a different species in peace. She hoped that nothing else could go wrong.
[Time Skip]
Jayme was riding a motorcycle as a distraction so Spock and Scotty along with Jayla getting the crew to safety of the old Starship USS Franklin.
Once everyone was safely aboard; they immediately headed for Yorktown to save it from a complete psycho well that's what was calling him in her mind.
Moments later, she was chasing the psycho through the vents of the base in order to stop him from releasing the nanos bug things that would kill everyone in Yorktown. The fact that she was doing this in a dress like uniform for the females that work in Star Fleet was crazy but she always wore shorts underneath because of how many times she had ended up in fights.
Finally, Spock and McCoy arrived to retrieve her in an enemy small ship. Spock helped the Captain up into the ship.
"This was one hell of a birthday!" Jayme stated sarcastically.
Spock just looked at her with a brow raised.
"Well, this will be only time you'll have adventure on your birthday." McCoy said sarcastically.
Jayme laughed.
Spock understood the sarcasm and said, "Captain, your sarcasm is good during a time of unsettlement." Spock stated.
Jayme looked at Spock and said, "Thanks and I believe that this was completely unexpected; but it's what we do and I do what I do because I have an excellent crew is who is like family to me as well as friends."
"Let's just get this blasted ship on the ground!" McCoy said suddenly.
A few hours later...
Spock and Jayme were alone outside looking at the stars and then said, "Captain, I wish for you to see a photo that my other self left to me."
"Are you sure, Spock?" Jayme asked.
"Yes, I am sure, Captain. " Spock said handing her the case.
Jayme opened the case and saw the picture of her, Spock, Scotty, Bones, Uraha, Sulu, and Checkov on the bridge of the Enterprise and they were older. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that they all were still friends.
Then she noticed something and said, "Spock, I am not exactly sure if you saw this?" Jayme said pointing to another compartment.
Spock saw what his Captain was pointing to and said, "I must've missed that, Captain or I was unable to open it."
Jayme sighed and said without thinking, "My dearest heart."
Suddenly, the compartment opened which surprised both Jayme and Spock.
"Captain, there appears to be a slip of paper." Spock stated taking the slip of paper out of the compartment.
"What is it, Spock?" Jayme asked.
"The writing is elegant but I am unable to decipher it." Spock stated.
Jayme held out her hand for Spock to hand her the slip of paper.
Spock put the paper in her hand and then he heard her say, "It's a letter."
"Captain, is it written in Vulcan text or Earth text?" Spock asked.
"I think it's a mixture of Vulcan and Earth text, Spock." Jayme answered, "And you can call me Jayme, Spock." Jayme said.
"Perhaps, when we are alone like this, Captain." Spock stated.
Jayme blushed and then asked, "Do you wish me to read it, Spock?"
"Yes, I would like to know what it says; Jayme." Spock said.
"Okay." Jayme said and began to read:
Spock, my dearest heart,
I am writing this to you knowing that we may go our separate paths or encase something happens to me before hand.
Spock, you have and shall always be my friend; but I must confess that I had a crush on you from the first time we met. Then it became something more down the road. How I wish I could have told you then how I felt for you. If there was anyway that we could start over from the beginning; I would because that's how much I love you.
I know that you thought of me as illogical at times and sometimes that had a lot to do with me struggling with my feelings for you and how they were becoming more than just a crush.
Spock, what I am trying to say is that I have loved you since the very beginning and you were the one that my heart always belonged to.
I am sorry that I never got a chance to tell you. I hope you have safe travels and enjoy every minute.
Always yours,
Jayme T. Kirk
Spock looked at Jayme and saw tears running down her face. He had never seen his Captain cry until now.
"Jayme, my T'hy'la, why are you crying?" Spock asked.
Jayme blinked at being called T'hy'la because she knew what it meant in Vulcan but answered, "From this letter written by the other me; I'm assuming that she never got to tell the other you how she felt."
"Indeed, it would seem so but we are together now." Spock stated giving Jayme a Vulcan kiss and Jayme returned it.
THUD
Both Jayme and Spock turned to see Bones McCoy laying on the ground.
"Cap'n? Mr. Spock? Dr. McCoy was looking for ya to tell ya that we wanted to take ya out for drinks or something before your birthday is over. However, I don't think Dr. McCoy was expecting that. " Scotty said.
"Probably not." Jayme said.
"Indeed, Dr. McCoy seems to have fainted from shock." Spock stated.
Jayme giggled then looked at Mr. Scott and said, "Scotty, Spock and I are going to try dating each other but I believe that Vulcans would call it courting."
"Aye, Captain. Capt'n, if you and Mr. Spock don't think it's too bold for me to say this; but I think you two make a good couple." Scotty said.
Both Spock and Jayme blushed then Jayme said, "Mr. Scott, why do I get this feeling that you were the one that had a hunch that I had feelings for Spock or that he had feelings for me?"
Scotty chuckled weakly and said, "It was the way you two spoke to each other that I noticed for you, Captain. As for Mr. Spock, it was his reaction to losing you when you saved the crew and the ship from that bloody bastard, Khan."
"Mr. Scott, were there others that were aware of mine and the Captain's feelings for each other?" Spock asked.
"Uhura, Checkov, Sulu, and the other you; perhaps." Scotty said.
"Explain, Mr. Scott." Spock said.
"Well, there are a few of us that you and the Captain would make a good couple. Uhura had a feeling of sorts that you may have had feelings for the Captain before hand and decided that she would let you go because of how you reacted to the Captain's death." Scotty said.
"Scotty, Bones isn't clueless."Jayme said.
"Aye, he isn't but he wasn't exactly sure either about the possibility of you two being together." Scotty said.
"Like the Captain said, Mr. Scott; Dr. McCoy isn't clueless. However, the Captain and I will see how this goes between us." Spock stated.
"Aye, but to be honest, the way you two are in sync with each other at times is a bit amusing." Scotty said.
Jayme blinked and said, "Do Spock and I look like we're in sync?"
Spock was curious as to what Mr. Scott would say.
"Aye, Captain. There are times when you and Mr. Spock are in sync with one another that it seems rare in itself." Scotty said.
"Scotty, why don't you take Bones to the ship. Spock and I will be there soon." Jayme said.
"Aye, Captain." Scotty said getting McCoy off the ground and energized to the ship.
Once Scotty and McCoy were gone; Jayme looked at Spock and said, "Since we read that letter from the other me to the other you; what do you think, Spock?"
"I believe that as you humans say, 'we get a second chance ' at the possibility of being a couple." Spock stated.
Jayme smiled and said, "We'll take it a step at a time unless something forces us to do otherwise."
Spock nodded in agreement.
