Mission V2: Payback.

"Not bad Dante, not bad."

Vergil was walking around the area of the destroyed mansion in hell, with no sign of the red Nephilim, and after some time other demons came, said they found a lot of dead lesser demons... and that Dante was gone.

Vergil would just stay around that area, hearing the screams of his mother.

"Eva... she must have helped Dante, her weakness for the two of us is more annoying than I had expected." Vergil would mutter to himself.

Argosax had teleported next to Vergil.

"It seems Dante has more tricks that any of us expected for being nearly dead, my lord." She said in a partly funny tone.

"He is lucky to have appeared here, though perhaps... yes, Eva must have managed to call Dante's soul to this place." Vergil said after thinking a second.

"Shall we do something with Eva?" He asked.

"No, leave the family business to me, I will ask my brother to come here for dinner so I can properly deal with the two, but for now, the entire focus should be on the mission.

"You are right, on that topic, I made a quick check up on all the guardians, they are in place with their groups prepared." He informed, her voice shifting midway through.

"Very well, if the angels took Dante, then surely they will try to get his help, but based on his showings earlier... I doubt he will manage to do much." He said as he unsheathed Yamato and slashed the air, making a portal.

"You will take charge during my absence, do not fail me." Vergil said to the fire demon, who just laughed, and the Nephilim stepped through the portal.

He is once again, on the human world combined with Limbo, in middle of a desolate street of Limbo City.

"I must find the Connection points to Paradise, then, they will be forced to appear on this plane." Vergil muttered to himself, as he began walking on the empty street.

And being the demon king, it means that for obvious reasons, no demon jumped at him while walking through the city like they would have done years ago.

It looked like this would be a boring and simple walk to his target, which he saw in the distance, a quite big cathedral that is a Connection point to Paradise which he required.

Silence, nothing at all...

Until Vergil suddenly teleported backwards to dodge a long arrow that pierced a lamp post.

He looked towards that direction, and saw some warrior in full bronze armor aiming a silver longbow towards him, the arrow and a summoned sword clashed in the air, breaking each other.

Vergil heard something approaching behind him, so when the sword of the silver knight was about to slash him, it just slashed the air since Vergil had appeared behind the knight and sent it flying to the direction of the bronze one with a slash, then the silver one stands up.

Bronzo Angelo and Argento Angelo.

"Angels? You are getting more daring, but that will only get you killed faster." Vergil said, ready to fight.

The Bronzo Angelo began to pull back the string while the Argento dashed towards Vergil and did three slashes, the last one being a spinning attack, Vergil dodged sideways the first two strikes, then teleported downwards with a crouch to evade the spin, and while the Angelo regains footing, Vergil did his own spinning attack that propelled himself and the knight upwards, and at the same time made him dodge an arrow coming towards him, Vergil put on Eryx and did an aerial downwards slam to bring the knight to the ground, teleported downwards to reach the ground just half a second earlier to uppercut the knight back up as he jumped, then proceeds to do super quick slashes with Yamato that thew the Angelo backwards in the air as Vergil teleports towards him by throwing a blue sword, fired a red blast downwards with Yamato, and instead of the pierce afterwards, he slammed down with Arbiter.

Surprisingly, the Argento was still standing though it was obvious the damage received was massive, Vergil had landed close to the Bronzo, who changed the bow for a spear, and charged, such a predictable attack, Vergil blocked it right at the last moment with a blue katana glow, and counterattacked instantly with a triple slash, that staggered the knight, Vergil slashes two more times, stopped a second, then did several quick slashes while standing in the spot, performed a short hop and threw a blue beam to the Angelo right in front of him to send it flying backwards, teleported down and charged Rebellion for a second, and released a large blue shockwave that went through the Bronzo, and ended the knight's life as it disappeared in a flash.

The Argento still had some fighting spirit, the knight's sword glowed and fired a crescent blue beam, then another a second later, Vergil stepped aside from the first one, then threw a red sword at the Angelo half a second before it launched the second beam, so the moment it was released, the sword made contact... and teleported the Angelo right in front of Vergil, making the angel get hit by its own beam, as the Argento fell to the ground and too disappeared.

"It seems the angels are aware of my intentions, but it's fine, if they keep bringing their troops I will just take it as better training than the same demons." Vergil said as he saw how both knights died, and kept on walking.

Vergil thought he heard some sound coming from an alleyway, and went that direction, after some turns, he saw a familiar red spirit, a Lost Soul, he just shrugged and casually slashed it with a few Rebellion hits, being granted a good amount of Red Orbs, and then he went back to the main street, after some walking, Vergil saw something familiar and useful by a side, a tall statue representing a woman holding a Hourglass, he approached the statue and then kneels to it as he touches the base, he may have power, but the Goddess of Time had even more, but she's willing to grant some under right conditions, which Vergil appreciated, she sides with no one and just grants knowledge with the right payment.

Vergil wanted to be granted some more power on his main, trusty weapon.

Yamato: New Abilities.

Twister: This upgrade goes to both Yamato and Rebellion, press Attack -–(pause) Attack - Attack - Attack - Attack to do damaging dual strikes wielding both swords that ends with a strong spin attack.*

Twister LV2: Stronger version of Twister, adding an extra attack with a stab using both swords after the spin, which deals great damage and knocks back enemies.

Judgement Combination: After performing a Perfect Judgement Cut, time the next attack press right as the Cut is done to follow with a fast second cut, timing the press once again will finish with a powerful Last Cut.*

Burning Bee: A stronger version of Killer Bee for Demon Stance Yamato, keep holding the attack button while mid air to add burning demon energy, making the kick deal more damage and causing a minor explosion.

Perfect Divorce: Variation of Divorce for Demon Stance Yamato, pressing the Attack button in the exact moment a hit lands will make the next strike come out faster and stronger, pressing on the last hit will add an extra wider slash.

Rapid Jump: Press Attack, Attack on Angel Stance Yamato to interrupt the Rapid Slash and jump, performing an aerial vertical Quick Slash.

Vergil granted a small part of his power to the statue in exchange of the knowledge, and learned a way to use Yamato and Rebellion at once, and improving his powerful Judgement Cut, then he left the statue.

Bright lights suddenly appeared, and Vergil was circled by angels, a Bronzo, two Argentos, and an Angelo with bronze armor flying on the air with long light blue wings wielding two crossbows, one in each hand.

Alato Angelo.

The Alato began firing a bolt and then another from the crossbows, Vergil teleported down and crouched to dodge, he knew to first take on whoever might have range first, and used a Rapid Slash right after dodging to zoom towards a Bronzo before the angel gets to pull on the bow's string, and began to slash through with Osiris, spinning the scythe around to quickly strike the Angelo, Vergil noticed the scythe glowed when slashing at the angel as well, so it seems that on his hands, it doesn't care if it's feeding on angels or demons.

Vergil heard the sound of a bolt being fired, he teleported upwards and being on the air, since he's at it, summoned six swords around himself and fired them towards the Alato in succession to stop that angel for some seconds, then used a Helm Breaker on the Bronzo he had attacked before that, fired some Summoned Swords at it, and switched to Eryx for a finishing uppercut that made it disappear mid air.

He didn't lose any time and fired a red sword to the Alato, bringing it down towards Vergil, Vergil switched his Stance and did three slow hits on the angel, followed by two slashes with Rebellion and then switching to Arbiter for one incredibly powerful slam that sent the knight back and upwards, and the demon king instantly caught up again with a jumping spinning attack using Aquila, and ended firing one big shuriken to finish it off.

The Argentos are left, one's sword glowed and fired a beam, Vergil blocked it just in time, and a second and half later fired three powerful red beams back to the angel, knocking it back a lot and to the ground.

The other Argento had meanwhile approached and tried to slash at Vergil, but he just did a regular block with no counter, and after that slashed once with Yamato, then slashed with Rebellion on the other hand a second later, and then proceeds to do a X slash with both, a V slash afterwards, and finishes off with a powerful spin, a long attack, but it did massive damage to the Argento, enough that the Nephilim just finished the angel off with a few summoned swords.

He looked at the last Angelo, who slowly and reluctantly began to approach, Yamato began to glow, and Vergil slashed the air, cutting space around the Argento, then he slashed a second time right away when the knight got hit, and a second Judgement Cut was added to the mix, he didn't manage to do the Final Cut, so he just ended the fight with a single shuriken throw.

The demon king had done the most subtle of smirks seeing just how utterly obliterated the angels were, he kept on walking some more minutes, and finally reached the cathedral, he pushed the door and it was closed, nothing that a single slash with Yamato didn't fix as the door feel down when Vergil sheathed it, and he was now looking at a large room covered in shadows.

Mission Clear.
