Recap:

THUD

Both Jayme and Spock turned to see Bones McCoy laying on the ground.

"Cap'n? Mr. Spock? Dr. McCoy was looking for ya to tell ya that we wanted to take ya out for drinks or something before your birthday is over. However, I don't think Dr. McCoy was expecting that. " Scotty said.

"Probably not." Jayme said.

"Indeed, Dr. McCoy seems to have fainted from shock." Spock stated.

Jayme giggled then looked at Mr. Scott and said, "Scotty, Spock and I are going to try dating each other but I believe that Vulcans would call it courting."

"Aye, Captain. Capt'n, if you and Mr. Spock don't think it's too bold for me to say this; but I think you two make a good couple." Scotty said.

Both Spock and Jayme blushed then Jayme said, "Mr. Scott, why do I get this feeling that you were the one that had a hunch that I had feelings for Spock or that he had feelings for me?"

Scotty chuckled weakly and said, "It was the way you two spoke to each other that I noticed for you, Captain. As for Mr. Spock, it was his reaction to losing you when you saved the crew and the ship from that bloody bastard, Khan."

"Mr. Scott, were there others that were aware of mine and the Captain's feelings for each other?" Spock asked.

"Uhura, Checkov, Sulu, and the other you; perhaps." Scotty said.

"Explain, Mr. Scott." Spock said.

"Well, there are a few of us that you and the Captain would make a good couple. Uhura had a feeling of sorts that you may have had feelings for the Captain before hand and decided that she would let you go because of how you reacted to the Captain's death." Scotty said.

"Scotty, Bones isn't clueless."Jayme said.

"Aye, he isn't but he wasn't exactly sure either about the possibility of you two being together." Scotty said.

"Like the Captain said, Mr. Scott; Dr. McCoy isn't clueless. However, the Captain and I will see how this goes between us." Spock stated.

"Aye, but to be honest, the way you two are in sync with each other at times is a bit amusing." Scotty said.

Jayme blinked and said, "Do Spock and I look like we're in sync?"

Spock was curious as to what Mr. Scott would say.

"Aye, Captain. There are times when you and Mr. Spock are in sync with one another that it seems rare in itself." Scotty said.

"Scotty, why don't you take Bones to the ship. Spock and I will be there soon." Jayme said.

"Aye, Captain." Scotty said getting McCoy off the ground and energized to the ship.

Once Scotty and McCoy were gone; Jayme looked at Spock and said, "Since we read that letter from the other me to the other you; what do you think, Spock?"

"I believe that as you humans say, 'we get a second chance ' at the possibility of being a couple." Spock stated.

Jayme smiled and said, "We'll take it a step at a time unless something forces us to do otherwise."

Spock nodded in agreement.

Leonard McCoy had manage to finally come around after witnessing a Vulcan kiss between Jayme and Spock. He wondered when and how that started of all things. Then he recalled what Nyota said about a woman's intuition; but it was still shocking to see Jayme and Spock share a Vulcan kiss.

He was awake now when he heard a chime sound to let him know that someone was here.

"Enter."

Both Jayme and Spock came in.

"What the hell is going on between you two?!" Bones questioned.

"Doctor, that's why we came to talk to you; to explain." Spock stated.

"Bones, will you listen to what we have to say before you fly off the handle?" Jayme asked.

Spock's brows raised as looked at Jayme.

McCoy looked at them both and said, "Well?"

"Doctor, since you are like a brother to the Captain; I ask to properly court her." Spock stated.

McCoy was shocked once again.

"Bones, don't pass out again. However, just to let you know; Spock and I will be taking this courtship one step at a time. " Jayme said.

"Okay...but I am confused as to how you two came together." McCoy said.

Jayme sighed and said, "Bones, if you didn't realize it then I must've been hiding it really well for Scotty and a few others to notice instead of you, Bones."

"What do you mean, Jayme?" McCoy said.

"I believe the Captain is trying to say is that some of the crew may have a hunch that the Captain and I had secret feelings for each other. Also, we are to wanted to tell you since you are like a brother to the Captain." Spock stated.

"I may agree to the two of you courting but if something pops up, Spock; you'll have to inform your new girlfriend." McCoy stated.

Jayme blushed realizing that Bones was referring to which was Pon Far.

"Doctor, I believe the Captain is already aware of that situation." Spock stated as he saw her reaction.

McCoy looked at Jayme and realized that she did indeed know what him and Spock were talking about.

"I don't want to know how Jayme knows a lot about the Vulcan culture or how she knows and understands the Vulcan language." McCoy said.

Jayme sighed because she knew that she needed to inform Spock as well as Bones about part of her past which involved Tarus IV.

"Captain?" Spock questioned.

Jayme looked at Spock and said, "Spock, I need to tell you and Bones something that is completely classified and to keep the information to yourselves unless I say otherwise."

Both Spock and Bones nodded in agreement.

So, Jayme began explaining her past as well as why she understood the Vulcan culture and language. When Jayme finished telling them; Bones was in shock that Jayme had endured something so terrible and horrible.

Spock didn't show it exactly but he was completely in shock that his Captain had endured something so tragic as well as horrible in her young life. He was also amazed that a Vulcan woman had Jayme as her own daughter on Tarus because Jayme didn't have her real mother or her step-dad with her on that planet.

Finally, Bones said, "Jayme, if you know about Pon Far then you'll know the symptoms will hit Spock."

Jayme nodded.

"Doctor, if it will make you feel better; I will not let the Captain out of my sight." Spock stated.

Bones nodded and they continued talking for a while.

A Month Later...

By everyone aboard the USS Enterprise knew of the Captain's and the First Officer's relationship. They were happy for them even if they were taking is slow.

Whenever there was shore leave, Spock and Jayme would use that time to court each other or talk about certain things that was between them.

However, today was something that they were not planning on what happened next because it took the entire crew by surprise including Spock.

Spock and the Captain along with a landing party were being beamed back aboard the Enterprise after the Captain had drunk something given to her by the leader which she had drunk the drink; so she didn't insult the culture of the species. However, what happened once they were back aboard the Enterprise something happened.

Spock appeared first on the landing pad followed by the Captain; however, what appeared beside Spock on the landing pad was a teenage girl wearing a Captain's uniform.

The teenager looked at Spock and spoke Vulcan by asking where she was.

"You're aboard the USS Enterprise, miss." Spock stated.

The girl blinked.

"Mr. Spock, is that the..." Scotty trailed off.

"It is and she appears to be between the ages of thirteen or fifteen." Spock stated.

"May I ask your name, miss?" Scotty asked.

"Wilat nam-tor ko-mekh?" The girl questioned.

Spock was stunned that the Captain was asking for the Vulcan female that had raised her and said, "Ish-veh u' be' dvun-tor heh i ya'akash ik i palutunau du."

The girl looked at Spock and said, "She did? Kuv ni, nemaiyo. T'nash-veh ahm nam-tor jayme t. Kirk. Heh vi nam-tor du?"

Spock nodded.

Scotty was stunned and immediately decided to call for Dr. McCoy as well as Uhura.

"I understand that you would prefer to speak Vulcan but you'll have to speak English sometimes and I am Spock, son of Sarek." Spock stated.

Jayme nodded but spoke in Vulcan to Spock, "Nam-tor etek betrothed?"

Spock wasn't exactly sure how to answer her but said, "Etek nam-tor svi' wuh wuhinik situation t' wuh betrothal."

Jayme nodded in understanding.

Suddenly, McCoy and Uhura rushed in; they were stunned to see a teenage girl standing beside Spock.

Spock looked towards Dr. McCoy and Lt. Uhura; and the teenage girl did the same.

"Spock, who are they?" The teenager asked in English.

"That would be Dr. McCoy and our communications officer, Lt. Uhura. " Spock answered.

Jayme looked at Spock and asked in Vulcan, "Mokuhlek etek sahrafel au?"

Spock responded to her in Vulcan by saying, "Ha, etek mokuhlek sahrafel au, t'nash-veh Ashaya."

Jayme blushed and smiled at Spock.

"Why is she talking in Vulcan, Mr. Spock?" McCoy asked curiously.

Lt. Uhura was wondering the same thing.

"It would be my guess that she prefers to speak in Vulcan at times and then return to English." Spock stated.

"Ashaya is Spock." Jayme spoke softly.

Apparently, when Jayme said that Spock was blushing a little bit because he wasn't sure what to think about his Captain calling him that while she had been de-aged to her teen years.

"Spock, you realize that we will have to report this to Star Fleet?" McCoy questioned.

"I do understand, Doctor." Spock stated, "Lt. Uhura, if you will be kind as to ask the leader of the people how long Jayme will be like this?"

"Yes, sir." Nyota said and walked out of the transport room.

Spock turned to Jayme and said, "Ashaya, will you allow Dr. McCoy check you over to make sure that you're okay?"

Jayme could feel that Spock was worried and said, "Yes, I will do as you ask regarding my health, Spock."

Scotty was completely stunned because the Captain did what Spock asked and yet he wondered how she knew that Spock was concerned for her.

Jayme walked to Dr. McCoy and said, "Spock will be informed of what you find, Doctor."

McCoy blinked because Jayme had talked to him like she had given him a direct order and said, "Yes, Mr. Spock will be informed of your well being. "

"Good then let's go, Doctor. The sooner the better." Jayme said walking out of the transporter room.

McCoy turned to look at Spock and said, "With the Captain de-aged to a teenager; you're acting Captain, Spock. Also, this will probably be a day of hell or a week of hell until we find out how long the Captain will be in her teen years."

"Indeed, Doctor. " Spock said in agreement.

Then McCoy walked out of the transporter room to go after Jayme.

Spock did the most human thing and sighed.

Scotty looked at Spock and said, "Sir, all we can do is hope that Captain Kirk will return to normal."

"Indeed for I fear for Jayme's safety while she has been de-aged to a teenager and not just from our enemies but from myself if some symptoms starts to surface of a personal matter while she's a teenager." Spock stated.

"Sir, you know the take a risk if concerns you personally." Scotty said.

"Affirmative, that much I am aware of because I lost Jayme once and I will not lose her again because there have been too many close calls." Spock stated.

"Is it just me, sir or does the Captain seem to bring a more emotional side to you than Uhura did?" Scotty questioned.

"Your assumptions are correct, Mr. Scott." Spock stated.

Scotty was shocked that Spock had admitted that the Captain brought his human side out more than Uhura ever did.

Meanwhile in Sick Bay...

Dr. McCoy along with Nurse Chapel were running diagnostics over the Captain to make sure that she was no bodily harmed from were she had been de-aged to a teenager.

From what Dr. McCoy and Nurse Chapel could tell is that their Captain was physically fit even though she had been de-aged back to her teenage years; but secretly McCoy knew that it had to do with Jayme being a survivor on Tarus IV during the Kodos incident.

"Doctor, is every okay?" Jayme questioned.

Bones looked at Jayme and said, "Yeah, you're as fit as fiddle, Miss Kirk. "

Jayme giggled.

"Dr. McCoy, shall I tell Mr. Spock of our report?" Nurse Chapel asked.

"Yeah and tell him to come here for a moment." McCoy said.

"Yes, sir." Chapel said then walked out.

Once Chapel had left to relay a message to Spock; he noticed that Jayme sat there on bio bed.

"Is something wrong, Miss Kirk?" McCoy asked.

Jayme sighed and said, "Does is seem strange that I was adopted by a Vulcan woman?"

"No, it's not strange and strictly speaking; I think she adopted you, Jayme because you became like a daughter to her and she loved you as such. I understand that Vulcans don't usually show their emotions at times but she must've felt that you needed a mother figure in your life during your time on that crazy ass planet " McCoy said.

Jayme smiled and said, " Thank you, Doctor. I will admit that I am worried for Spock considering he could be my Ashaya. "

"Why do you say that, Miss Kirk?" McCoy questioned curiously.

"When my Vulcan mother told me of Vulcan tradions; I wondered if some of them were somewhat like human traditions but with some differences in them." Jayme said.

Jayme was talking with McCoy when Spock entered.

"Jayme, we need to talk and Dr. McCoy listen. " Spock stated.

So, Spock started from the beginning and started telling Jayme everything. Every now and then McCoy would say something as well. When Spock finished telling her everything; Jayme got real quiet for a moment.

"Captain?" Spock said.

Jayme looked at Spock and smiled saying, "Thank you for telling me, Spock. I know how hard it must be with me like this."

"Captain, I won't let any harm come to you." Spock said.

"Do we know how long I am to remain a teenager then?" Jayme asked.

"According, to what Lt. Uhura learned from the leader; the leader said that she wanted you to heal from your teenage wounds." Spock stated.

"Well, I know that I count on everyone here because you all are like family to me and when I do return to my normal age range the wounds will have probably healed. " Jayme said

Several weeks later...

When Captain Jayme T. Kirk was back to her normal age; everyone aboard the Enterprise was happy to have their Captain back especially Spock considering that he had watched several young men approach her and she flat out said Ashaya to him in front of the young gentlemen. Which caused Bones to laugh at the young men considering Jayme and Spock were in a courtship of sorts before the de-aging incident and Spock was very protective of their Captain while she was a teenager.

Although, there may have been some young men unaware of Spock's protective instincts towards Jayme until Spock gave a look that terrified them.

Jayme couldn't shake this feeling she had. She knew that Spock had been very protective of her since she had to reexperience her teenager years at least until she had become twenty; but Spock had still been protective of her until she returned to her correct age and now she couldn't shake this feeling that something was wrong with Spock.

"Mr. Sulu, you have the bridge!" Jayme said as she ran towards the turbo lift.

Sulu responded, "Aye, Captain. " as Jayme entered the lift.

"Mr. Sulu,I have never seen the Keptian run that before." Checkov stated.

Nyota didn't say anything because she had seen the look on the Captain's face and it had been the same look Spock had worn when Scotty had contacted him about the Captain.
