Not really sure what to write here. XD I guess it's just back to the novel. Also, I've decided to drop the first-person perspective, due to the feedback showing me it was looking kinda meh, which I agree.
~POV Sam~
Sam had just finished up third block, after a pretty lengthy class. Man, I'm just glad that at the end of the day, we get one jam session with the 'mates!
Smiling, she made her way out of the classroom, but not before nearly all of the students rushing out about tripped her. Wiping herself off, she continued on towards the band room, where both Mazzy and Sully were walking, beside someone who looked upset.
Wanting to be kind, Sam had approached the two, only to find out it was Luna. Is she... Is she crying? Sam thought, wondering what could've happened.
She had figured, maybe something's wrong with Luna's guitar, and decided to walk up to her, and give her a comforting hug. I mean, what are best bro's for?
As she approached Luna, she immediately darted up, and struck Sam once in the jaw, hard, sending the girl tumbling into a pile of students. At first, she didn't even feel the punch, the imminent shock took in, and before she knew it, she was soaring into a group of kids, and then into a locker.
"Agh- what the..." Sam managed to grumble out, before Luna lurked over towards her, Sam had caught out the corner of her eye Sully holding Luna's arm, trying to pull her back, and Mazzy pushing both of her hands into her shoulders.
"LUNA!" Sam had heard Mazzy shout, with a crack in her voice at the sudden turn of events.
Struggling to catch herself, now dizzy with a crackling burn in her head, Sam began to stammer with confusion "Wha-... Why did you..." as Will now rushed over towards the injured rocker, to hold her and keep her from falling, and Addy stood between the clash, hands out trying to seize the conflict.
"Get out of my way, NOW!" Luna demanded. Although Sam didn't feel the pain from her swings and shouting, confusion and panic had overwhelmed her, and she had felt like a deer cornered by an angry tiger.
"What's wrong?!" Sam screamed, as Will had now also gotten between them, after ensuring Sam had managed to get to her feet, with a crowd of students now begining to form, investigating the disturbance.
Luna looked at Sam as if the girl had said the stupidest thing all day, much to her further confusion. "The problem?! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU SAM!" she shouted, and then seemingly stopped in place, almost as if she was about to breakdown, with her stomach throbbing with deep breathing.
"You're fucking around with my brother..." She growled, and Mazzy stepped in at instant she finished.
"That's bullshit Luna! Just because Lincoln sent her a note, you're gonna hit and accuse her like that, bro?!"
Luna wasn't having any of it. "Like you wouldn't know, 'bro'." She hissed out, before Sam could feel her eyes drill into her.
"I know you've been hitting on him behind my back... No wonder you're always talking about him, always finding an excuse to get him to join us when we're jamming. Lincoln would've never manned up to send you of all people, a goddamn letter, if you weren't always trying to rope him into our business."
This was ridiculous. "All I wanted, was to see if he'd wanna play with us! I didn't want him to feel left out!" Sam defended, gently trying to back away, and hoping Luna would see that she's just thinking with her anger, and not reason.
"No, you just wanted him to play with you." She spat out, those words hit Sam like a knife into her heart, tearing away her feelings of the past, seeing all her and Luna had been through, everything they'd done, all crashing down around her, the entire past was irrelevant to Luna, who was now suggesting sickening accusations which she herself believed.
Sam's own best friend, was accusing her of disgusting things, that she had never done before, much less with Lincoln, the brother she'd never had, who she'd always hoped would be to her own brother, Simon, what Sam is to Luna.
Or was to Luna, as these events suggested.
The words and situation were too much, and immediately, Sam had just lost it and tears began to drip from her eyes, and she covered her mouth, eyes bulging with red surrounding it, much from the tears billowing out.
"L-Luna... How could you think..." Finishing the sentence, seemed like a challenge, as the emotions restrained her from being able to even respond to the situation in a controlled stance.
Addy gasped, and tried to run up and hug Sam, in hopes of comforting her, while Mazzy flipped out. "Luna what the hell dude! You're hurting her feelings, she's not doing anything to your brother, just- he just brought a freaking note, and you're flipping out?!"
Sully maintained eye contact between the two, as Luna ignored the forming crowd, quickly speaking up.
"Yeah right! Lincoln hid a note I made for her, and gave his own, because every girl in this school district would rather suck kidney stones out of a bum, than spend a second with him!"
Luna then managed to gaze at Sam, who was looking at the ground, eyes covered and whimpering in pain. "You filthy, self-centered, two faced cradle-robbing PARASITE!" she coughed out, cracking her voice before continuing. "You used me, just to get close to my underage brother! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT WE DO TO PREDATORS IN THE LOUD HOUSE!"
It was then, with one big shove towards Sam, Luna had managed to throw both Mazzy, Sully, Will and Addy past her, as she charged towards Sam, uppercutting her in the stomach, sending the blonde to the floor with a loud thud.
At this point, all of the students were gasping, phones had been out, and whispers that were drowned out by the loud altercation, were sure to leave the poor misaccused teal-streaked rocker in hot water for months, weeks if she was lucky.
This time, Sam felt the punch, as Luna's fist slamming into her stomach felt as if a baseball bat was battered into her, and was now laying on the floor, gasping to catch her breath, with all wind knocked out of her.
"GET UP, BITCH!" Luna shouted, yanking Sam back up by the hair, as she proceeded to batter the side of her head in with her fist, and Luna had gotten a good 4 strikes into Sam, before Mazzy ran up and struck Luna, who nearly toppled over into Sam, as Luna had failed to establish balance as she recklessly beat down on the poor girl.
Both Sully and Will now charged at Luna, who was now turning her focus to Mazzy, and both boys held her back, as the crowd continued to 'woo on', and film. Thankfully, Principal Rivers had shown up quickly, with her assistant by her side, as the fight was over, for now.
As Sam sat in the principals office, she was paying no attention to the shouts between her mother and Rita Loud. What was initially a civil discussion between the two, who felt the fight was simply a case of "friends will be friends, and just have a good laugh about it later", was now a serious offense, after it was discovered the cause was Sam had been slandered as a slimy predator, using Luna as a pawn to get close to her brother.
"My Sammy has always been an angel child! She'd never taint her future that your little brat won't see, just for a little boy!" Jennifer Sharp, the mother of Sam, began to jab at Rita Loud.
This only agitated Rita even further. "Oh please, no dear. Luna has an actual future in band, Sam would be nobody if my child hadn't offered her friendship." this was met with Rita poking her finger in Jennifer's left shoulder.
It was a frightening conversation, and it only hurt Sam even further to hear the mother of who was once Sam's best-friend of nearly 6 years, saying what she really thought of her. And worst of all, Sam did nothing wrong, she didn't ask Lincoln to send her a letter, she didn't even throw a punch on Luna, and now it feels like her world is falling.
After 13 minutes of arguing and petty insults, Rivers spoke up. "In light of this accusation, it would be in the best interests of the faculty and students, if both children remained under suspension throughout our investigations, and class reassignment, as to avoid further interactions between your children."
What...suspended? I've done nothing wrong...and...and...I've got to change classes? No... I didn't do anything wrong, I love my classes...
These thoughts overwhelmed Sam, who was even worse off than this morning; in fact, she'd forgotten all about her lack of purpose, as now she's focused on the fact the one person who'd always been by her side growing up, was now her enemy.
And, the Moon Goats are clearly jeopardized, no way could the quad continue, with hostile stances between the frontman, Luna Loud, and backup singer Sam Sharp. One or both of them was gonna have to be barred from the MG's, and it wouldn't be the same, so now Sam's only other purpose, was at stake.
All she'd worked to achieve, wasted over something she had no part in. And reconciliation doesn't seem to be an option, as things look beyond that now.
