Hello! And um. Into the story, I guess.
~POV Lincoln, taking place after delivering the note~
It was a pretty long journey from the high-school to the elementary, but this didn't bother the bold, man with the plan, Lincoln Loud.
Overjoyed with the possibility he saved Luna, and brought her and Sam into a relationship, was enough comfort that the long run to school didn't phase him.
As Lincoln made it to the school, he immediately began to hide as he noticed boy Jordan patrolling the halls, having been appointed hall-monitor.
Crap. I can still slip into class, and pretend I was just in the bathroom and missed the bell... Yeah, if Jordan catches me, he'll escort me to the principal's and I don't need Huggins calling my mom...
Lincoln then caught a glimpse of Jordan, having hid behind a trashcan, and noticed the boy scanning the hallway, before taking a turn into the left corridor.
Jackpot.
With a deep breath, Lincoln made a quick break for his homeroom. The words 'Ms. Johnson' assured Lincoln he'd made it, and he entered the classroom quickly, fearful of the repercussions for being late.
As he entered the classroom, he noticed everyone, including Ms. Johnson, looking over at him angrily. "Lincoln Loud. You are 26 minutes, and 49 seconds late."
The stern warning brought chills upon Lincoln, but he defended his answer. "Yeah... Sorry, I was in the bathroom, and I kind of missed the bell..."
This answer caused her to raise an eyebrow, and the students caught the bluff quickly.
"So, you were in the bathroom for atleast 26 minutes?"
Lincoln nodded. "Yes ma'am! See, I had my father's casserole last night, and I guess-" he was quickly interrupted by Ms. Johnson firmly raising her hand signaling him to not continue.
With this being done, he simply took a seat, thrilled he found his way out of trouble, and got to be a hero. Little did he know, this moment of joy wouldn't last as long as he'd hoped.
Lincoln had walked home with Clyde, happily bragging about his 'master plan'.
"Wow! So you really nailed that hiding spot?" The boy smiled, as he adjusted his glasses. Lincoln then nodded happily. "Yep. I'd make Ace Savvy proud, bro."
They soon made it to Lincoln's house; Clyde had wanted to stay and play the new Rip Hardcore: 'Ultimate Frenzy' videogame, after finishing their homework, of course.
It was then, that Lincoln, upon reaching the footsteps, could hear sniffling.
"What the heck could've happened?" Lincoln questioned, as he turned to face Clyde, who was now shrugging.
Lincoln walked into the house, and saw Luna being comforted by Leni, as the couch had both all of the siblings surrounding it.
Oh shoot... Luna is crying?! Dang it... Sam must've... Agh man, I really hoped this would be it, too...
Lincoln felt horrible for what he assumed had happened, and began to approach Luna, who now looked up to face him, eyes red with obvious signs of long-term crying.
"It's okay Lu-" was all Lincoln could say, as Luna darted up off the couch, grabbing Lincoln by the shoulders and shoving him out the house, the boy losing balance and falling directly off the porch into the dirt.
As he laid on the ground, slowly trying to piece what happened out of the speed of unexpectations, and processing, Lincoln looked up at Luna, who was now being quickly restrained by both Lori and Lynn.
"What the hell is the matter with you?!" Lincoln screamed out, and Clyde ran up to Lincoln, helping him back up.
Lori looked extremely infuriated. "You know exactly what this is about, twerp." this cold, chilling tone sent shivers down Lincoln's spine.
"Wh- what?!" was all the boy could say, as he stammered with confusion.
"You ruined everything!" Luna shouted out, trying to break free from the two overpowering sister's grasp. "You...! You..." Luna had began to calm, now panting with a face of horror, as if she'd lost everything.
With a deep breath, she continued. "You ruined my shot with Sam... The things I felt for her... All of it was a fucking lie... all of it ruined, because of you..."
Lincoln gasped at the accusation. "I haven't even spoken to Sam in days!" he had no idea this had anything to do with the letter from earlier that morning.
"He's telling the truth, I've been with Lincoln 24/7! He's never said anything about how much he likes that Sam girl you're talking about!" came from the bold Clyde.
Lori rolled her eyes, knowing Clyde was always up Lincoln's ass, atleast in her eyes, which are now filled with complete disappointment in her brother.
This defense however, badgered Luna to dart her head up. "Yeah right! My friend Mazzy saw you Lincoln, she told me everything. How you came to our school, told me how you had such a wonderful surprise for Sam, and that you needed to know where her locker was."
Luna sighed, and finished. "Oh, and let's also not forget, you had a suspicious piece of paper in your hand, brah. You're toast."
Leni chirped into the conversation. "Yeah! Lincoln was totes not with us in the car this morning, I just realized!" however, Lana rolled her own eyes and responded with a simple "oh, suddenly now you remember something, when it's trouble."
This took Lincoln by a huge surprise, but then he realized, this was a serious misunderstanding.
"The mysterious piece of paper?" he began to realize what was going on. Luna was not happy.
"You stole my letter... The letter I was supposed to give Sam... *points at Lincoln, with a free hand* you and my best-friend... I TRUSTED YOU BOTH..." Luna sobbed, as Lori patted her back.
"Guys, you don't get it! I found Luna's note on the floor this morning, I about broke my neck tripping over it!" the frightened boy explained.
Lori and Luna didn't buy into it, much to Lincoln's confusion. "You're right. It'd make sense that that letter in question had Lincoln Loud signed at the bottom!"
"WHAT?!" Lincoln and Clyde both simultaneously gasped. "Okay, now I think you're just making this up!" Lincoln defended himself, assuming this part of the story was entirely fabricated just to make him look bad, and Luna look right.
However, this remark didn't go unnoticed as Luna's recently calmed flame, was now reignited. "YOU HAVE SOME NERVE CALLING ME A LIAR, LINCOLN LOUD!"
The Loud rocker now tried to fight the grasp held by Lynn and Lori. "Hold it, siblings! I must insist that such evidence would be mandatorily presented, before a decision to judge is outright spoken." Called out Lisa Loud, who had been in the corner overwatching.
Then, Lucy Loud emerged. "And, it would be in my specialty to read such letter, as I can detect whether or not our brother Lincoln had written the letter himself, as I'm well aware of his grammatical experience."
"Oh please. Luna already told us, Lincoln just wanted to sign what Luna wrote, just to say he wrote it, and take credit for being a flirt for the first time in his life." Lola scoffed, and Luna seemed to nod her head in agreement.
Lynn broke her silence finally, as it seemed obligated for her voice in the matter now. "Bros! You know I'd love to open up a can of whoop-ass, but I just don't think it's in Lincoln's best interests to just sabotage Luna like that."
Then, Luan interrupted before either Luna or Lori could speak. "Yeah right Lynn, did you forget he can be a real punk sometimes? Remember the bad-luck charade? So he could avoid us?"
As much as Lynn was wanting to keep the peace, this evidence didn't look good on Lincoln, who seemed cornered. "The verdict is decided, brah. You really crossed the line...how long man?!" Luna's cold statement soon turned into a demand.
"How long, what?" Lincoln mumbled, feeling betrayed after all he'd done to help Luna.
"How long, have you and Sam been messing around? How long were you gonna go, before you told me hey Luna, don't bother falling for Sam, because I've got a thing for her. How long have I wasted my breath on her?!" Replied the infuriated rocker, who seemed bent on teaching Lincoln some serious discipline.
"I don't even like Sam like that! The only reason I even hung out with her, is because I was bonding with you, and she'd just be there! Yeah, she's cute, but-" Lincoln tried to finish his explanation, but a surge of fury hit Luna, as Lincoln mistakingly chose the wrong word, and she felt like he'd just admitted everything.
With a strong enough pull, she broke free from both Lori and Lynn, and charged at Lincoln, who was unable to run away in time, as Luna tackled him into the grass.
"AGH- GET THE HELL OFF OF ME!" Lincoln screamed, as Luna began punching the back of his head, as he laid on his stomach. The boy squirmed frantically, before Clyde manged to shove her, once again Luna nearly losing balance.
This gave Lincoln time to get back to his feet, but Luna was determined, having grabbed him by his shirt, and pulling him into another swing, however, his experience with fights between his siblings throughout his life paid off, as he dodged the swing, and swept for Luna's ankle, nearly knocking her over, but Luna was able to leap for another tackle, sending Lincoln back first into the grass.
She pressed her palm into Lincoln's cheek, shoving his face into the exposed dirt. "EAT THE DIRT, YOU PIG." she shouted at him, Clyde, Lori and Lynn were too shocked at the violent catfight, not sure if interference would work, seeing how she'd kept breaking free and getting even more violent.
"HEY, GET THE HELL OFF OF HIM!" shouted a familiar voice. With the instant, someone had kicked Luna directly in the side of her face, sending her toppling over onto her back, vulnerable enough for the siblings and Clyde to rush up and restrain her.
Lincoln had gotten up, investigating who it was. Sam Sharp stood before the Loud family, and Luna turned to face her former bro-4-life.
Sam then quitely approached Lincoln, giving a glare to her former friend, before facing Lincoln again, cupping his face, then leaning slightly to give him a kiss on his lips.
