Hey hey, guess whose back with another chapter? :)
~POV Sam, just after the suspension~
The young, blonde rocker was overwhelmed with emotions. The day had been normal, atleast in her book. Sad, unmotivated, but pushing forward because she knew it's what everyone would've wanted.
Then, when she turned her back, out of nowhere, her best friend lunged at her, giving her a violent beatdown, and accusing her of being in love with her brother, and doing... Things... things, that made Sam tear up to think her best bro would think so low of her, to assume she'd do that with a kid.
"Sam, honey." came a voice, that took her out of her thinking.
Sam then looked up at her mother, but didn't say anything. "Do you want anything to eat, baby?" came the gentle, reassuring voice of her mother.
"N-no." Sam muttered out, defeated by the recent events. Her mother put a hand on her shoulder.
"I love you, Samantha. Don't let it beat on you, if Luna was quick to assume such horrid things about you, with no evidence, she didn't care for you enough to defend you."
These words caused Sam to look back down, as Mrs. Sharp continued. "And, you shouldn't show pain she wouldn't have in your shoes. Don't hurt for someone who is far from being worth it."
Sam understood every word. But, it didn't settle with her at all, Luna meant everything to her, and so did the Moon Goats, and now she's probably vilified by the school, if not a target of crude jokes, slander, shame. All for something she didn't even do, which hurt worse than the physical assault.
She began walking with her mother to the car, in a slow, unenthusiastic limp, as she felt exposed like a turtle out of its shell, vulnerable to any comments against her, and all that was on her mind, was how she could fix it.
How could Luna just jump me like that, without even giving me a chance to defend myself...? If it was the other way around, I'd let her explain it...
Sam was broken over the fact Luna would immediately jump to conclusions without giving her best bro a chance to explain her side of the story, especially because Sam had bro love for Luna! Or she did, now she's not sure what to think of Luna, or the mess.
As she made it home, she sat on the couch, knees up to her chin, as she shriveled up and couldn't stop rewinding the situation in her head.
How in the blink of an eye, Luna began beating down on her, and accusing her of sleeping with her little brother. Then, the principal breaking up the fight, and Mazzy escorting her to the nurse's office.
The punch she received into her stomach was the worst, and she felt a burning pain in it since, and it still felt tight, and like she could barf any second, though the stress could be the caper for that aswell.
And, let's not forget how she had knots all in the side of her head, and a crackling headache along with the stomach-ache too, it's safe to say her day was ruined.
The second she'd gotten home, she'd been crying; so much, to the point her shirt was soaked, and she felt like a catanoic mess.
What's the family gonna think of me... What about- what about Simon? He's probably gonna think I'm some kind of... Sam couldn't even think the word she'd use to describe the situation, a 15 year old girl supposedly sleeping with a 11 year old boy?
And, speaking of Simon, Sam had heard the front door open, and caught out the corner of her eyes, her brother entering the home.
Simon had walked in, having already heard the news, and immediately approached his sister.
"Sam?" was all he could say, having been taken by too much shock in the situation.
With a deep breath, and the courage to force herself to speak, she only managed to reply with a soft "what".
Simon had now continued. "What... Happened? Is- is Luna telling the truth? That you... Do stuff with her brother?"
Sam noticed the pause before her brother finished, knowing he had to force himself to even think about the disgusting possibility.
Instead of responding, Sam had simply broken down into tears again, this time with noise, collapsing onto the couch on her side, curling up and sobbing.
Simon was unsure of how to react; he was only 10, but was no stranger to trauma, he knew his sister was hurt, and knew well enough she was innocent, that this was all a clear attempt at vicious slander to discredit and torment Sam.
The only question Simon had, was why? Why would Luna do such a thing, turn on Sam after all they've been through? Simon always thought Luna was super cool, and inspiring.
He made a move towards the couch, sitting down by Sam's feet, looking at her, scared and unsure what to do, seeing his sister in so much pain.
She took notice, and sat back up, only to hug Simon, crying into his shoulder, and he too felt a tear form in his eye. He knew what Luna and the Moon Goats meant to Sam, and knew that her universe was collapsing, but felt so helpless.
Now, he wanted to take matters into his own hands, so his voice could be heard, and try to fix the situation by his hands, overly confident as a 10 year old.
But, he needed answers first.
"Sam?" He asked, as she looked up to face him.
"... Yeah..." She responded, a faint voice like wind.
"Why... Why do you think Luna did this?"
Sam now looked like she too was confused. Why did Luna suddenly snap, and began accusing her of being with Lincoln? Then, it hit her.
"I gotta go..." She immediately jumped up, before running to grab a jacket off the coathanger.
Simon got up too, shocked at the burst of energy. "Wh- why... Where are you going?" He stammered.
"I have to see Lincoln, I might still have time to fix this!" Sam quickly shouted out, with the final portion of the sentence said as she ran out the door.
Sam had realized, all of this started because Lincoln had wrote her a love-letter, and Luna must've misunderstood it as an ongoing thing, where Lincoln and her consistently sent letters, and that there was a relationship involved.
If she could explain that this was the first time she'd ever gotten anything from Lincoln, and get him to back up the story, and then assert she didn't return the feelings, then she could fix everything, and maybe all of them could have a big laugh about it later... Right?
She kept telling herself, how she'd help get Lincoln a girlfriend, and still be his friend, only hoping the rejection doesn't set her off.
It was easy to understand, he was only a kid, and Sam was probably one of his first crushes, it's an easy situation that a kid would think he loved a girl older than him, who he'd thought was cool and had always been around.
Seems so faint, that only the other day, she remembered sitting with Sully, and watching Luna kill a sick, quick jam, and the three all threw out rock-poses and headbanged happily.
Sam was always by Luna's side, happily seen as an underling to the "big deal on campus", as Luna was the most talented of the Moon Goats, and Sam was taken under Luna's wing, hoping to see stardom with the Moon Goats, who she considered family.
And, the day before all of this went down, the three, plus Will and Addy, were at Lynn's Table enjoying lunch, when Luna swapped Sam's guitar out with a Polka Accordion, having placed the instrument in her case when she went to refill her drink.
The prank got everyone in stitches, but reminiscing as she made her way towards the Loud House brought a tear into her eyes, as she was terrified memories like this would never happen again.
Then, she got to thinking about Lincoln again, how he seemingly was in love with her.
The thing is, Sam didn't feel that way about him, mostly with age and the fact that she just couldn't find herself interested in relationships in general.
But she loved him like family, a different path on the love boat. She cared deeply for him, among the Loud family, otherwise she wouldn't be trying fiercely to fix this. It wasn't even just about her, and her future.
She didn't wanna put Lincoln or Luna through any drama, even after what Luna did.
Sam had soon made her way onto the street where the Loud family resided, and as she made it onto the road, she noticed what looked like a family gathering outside.
Then, she noticed it was Luna, beating down on her little brother, who was now on the ground.
What the...
Sam now sprinted, rather than the jog pace she had been doing, running up to the scene, calling out to Luna for the fight to end. And with one smooth, clean kick, she knocked Luna off of Lincoln, sending her toppling over onto her side.
Sam then approached Lincoln, not paying attention to anyone else but him and Luna, and grew a burning sensation of satisfaction as she approached him, noticing Luna's face; both surprised and furious to see her there, and having been nearly knocked unconscious by her.
Sam gently cupped the boy's face, and noticed that Luna knew exactly what she was gonna do, with an expression of disgust and worry growing in her eyes, which only tempted Sam even more. Then, she leaned over, and kissed the boy firmly on the lips, as deeply as she could, and having her first-ever kiss in the process.
Thanks for the read! I hope this chapter was pretty decent, it's a little bit short, but I'm trying to make sure it lasts. Also be sure to review and follow, as feedback and continued audience means alot to me. :)
