Into the woods to grandma's house we go~ It's been 3 years since covid started, and Almost just as long since I last updated... I feel so bad, but life happens.

-_-_-_-

It was a peaceful but cloudy humid Saturday afternoon in the woodlands surrounding Transylvania, Romania... until it wasn't.

A blur crashes into a tree, causing the animals inhabiting it to scamper and fly off as a small blurple and silver being groans rubbing its head to soothe the pain of running head first into the tree away.

"I told you not to go speeding off like that Spitfire, the grounds are to uneven around here to skate." Jack scolds swatting a few mosquitoes that landed on him.

"I know, but its been forever! I wanted to fly!!! And I did!" Spitfire grins, jumping up from where she had fallen.

"Ratchet won't like it if you get injured, again." Arcee reminds, walking up from behind the sibling duo, looking at her scanner.

"Fiiiine!" Spitfire transformers back into Rosa with a pout. Jack grins, grabbing his sister from under her armpits and hoisting her onto his shoulders.

"There, your flying!" Jack runs around a bit as Rosa laughs, putting her arms out to mock the wings of a plane.

Arcee glances around, wondering where the signal could be coming from, as it didn't look to be a subterranean energon deposit. "Ratchet's satellite scans were accurate, but subterranean energon deposits don't cause this kind of surge."

"Uh, maybe because it isn't. Take a look at this!" Jack calls, as he stops running in front of a cliff.

Arcee takes a look, and takes out her blasters stepping in front of the humans. "Stay behind me, low and close."

"Autobot or Decepticon?" Jack can't see an insignia in it. Rosa hops off, transforming back into Spitfire grabbing her disks.

"Can't tell... Stay here, I'm going to get a closer look." Arcee walks over to the ships opening, and steps in, disappearing from Jack and Spitfires line of sight.

Spitfire turns her head, hearing a sound and sneaks off to investigate, not noticing she's wonder off further then she thought.

"Hello? Anyone there?" She looks around, not watching as she trips down a hill. "AHHHHHHH!"

Arcee runs out of the ship, a haunted look in her eye as she tries calling to base.

"Arcee! What's wrong?" Jack runs up to his guardian.

"I know who this ship belongs to... Arcee to base, I need a ground bridge asap!" She looks around, waiting for an answer.

"Whose ship is this?" Jack asks, never seeing his guardian looking so disturbed.

"Base, do you read?... Scrap! Com links dead." Arcee punches a tree, looking back at the dish on the ship. "The ship's got to be transmitting a high-frequency scrambler pulse." She growls, looking to Jack.

"A-Arcee?" Jack ask's, watching his guardian transform back into her motorcycle form. "Climb on."

Jack swings his leg over Arcee's seat and looks around to help Rosa onto the seat, only... "Uh Arcee? Rosas gone!"

"You've got to be kidding me!" Arcee takes off, trying to find Spitfires life signal.

Spitfire groans as she hits the bottom of the hill, looking towards the sky, she swears there's three little birds circling her head.

"What have we here?" An amused female voice is heard from in front of Spitfire. "A sparkling? On earth of all planets. Though with that color scheme and the optic color..."

Spitfire looks in front of her, and sees a pretty black, gold and purple schemes female cybertronian.

"Pretty lady-bot!" Spitfire squeals, with starry eyes as she runs over to the new bot.

"My have you grown since I last saw you, Spitfire." The new bot says, recognizing the little girl in front of her as she kneels down closer to her height.

"You know me? I don't know you? Who are you?" Spitfire asks, pointing to herself in the process.

"I am Airachnid little one. But of course, you were a small new spark the last time I saw you, So I'm not... Oof!" Airachnid grunts as a blue motorcycle crashes into her face, knocking her away from the sparkling.

"Arcee" Airachnid grins, going into spider bot mode as she stands. "Small universe"

"Too small, Airachnid" Arcee growls, standing in front of Spitfire, blaster trained on the spider.

"Are you still holding a grudge Arcee? The war's been over for megacycles." Airachnid sighs with a grin.

"Tell that to the Decepticons." Arcee glares looking for a way to escape with Spitfire.

"These days I travel solo, in pursuit of my new hobby." She dismisses, with a wave of her hand.

"I got a look at your souvenir case." Arcee spits in disgust.

"You mean my trophies?" Airachnid hums, "I collect endangered species, of course, they aren't really endangered... until they meet me." She places a hand on her chest with a look of something akin to pride. "And I have a slot reserved for human."

"Not gonna happen!" Arcee roars tackling Airachnid to the ground trying to land a hit.

Airachnid uses her spider legs to grab Arcee before she can do much damage and throws her into a tree. She dodges just in time to avoid getting sliced by the sharp disks, as she watches them miss her face by millimeters.

"No hurt Arcee!" Spitfires says, watching as Airachnid gets knocked forward, as the disks hit the back of her head dead on after turning back to return to Spitfire.

"Really now Arcee? Allowing a sparkling to fight your battle for you?" Airachnid taunts, getting up from the ground and jumping away from Arcee's blast.

Arcee doesn't say anything as she continues to blast Airachnid until the spider bot users her webbing to stop the blast and bind Arcees arms. Arcee swings her arms around, until Airachnid is pulled down from her perch on the two trees and uses her wrist blades to cut the webbing off her, and continues blasting at her.

Spitfire jumps behind a tree as Airachind starts returning open fire, and watches as Arcee uses the surrounding trees to her advantages to gain. From using them as lifts and spinning on branches to gain momentum as she hurls herself toward the decepticon. She pins her to the ground, ready to end it all as she holds her blaster to Airachnids face... until they hear rocks falling from above them.

"Jack!" Spitfire gasps, as Airachnid uses Arcee's distraction to tie her to a tree using her spiderwebs.

Airachind grins turning to Jack with her claws out... only to get knocked out by a blast from Arcee who managed to release one of her arms from the webbing.

"I told you to stay put!" Arcee yells, desperately trying to get unstuck.

"Well, partners don't ditch partners" Jack responds running over, to help her with the webs.

Spitfire runs out from behind the tree she was hiding, grabbing one of her disk to help cut the webbing off of Arcee.

"Get this through your head! Your not my partner, you're a liability!" Arcee tries getting him to run away, not wanting to see Jack end up like her last two partners.

"I don't believe you! I can see it in your eyes Arcee! You're afraid, and your never afraid!" Jack says.

"Your right, I am afraid... of losing you!" Arcee reveals, watching as Airachnid gets up.

Spitfire turns to stand guard as she approaches, holding out her disks, ready to defend Jack and Arcee.

"You sure have trouble hanging onto your partners, don't you?" Airachnid shrugs, "We both know what happened to Tailgate. But I recently picked up some Decepticon radio chatter regarding the passing of Cliffjumper." She grins.

"Honestly Arcee, at some point you really have to ask yourself, 'Is it them, or is it me?". She taunts, pushing Spitfire aside as she gets closer to Jack and Arcee.

"Do you get it now Jack? She's not interested in me. She hunts indigenous species, and she's on earth." Arcee looks down at the boy, "Tht means human! Take Spitfire and Run!" She orders, attempting to get the rest of the webbing off her body, watching as Spitfire grabs Jack and starts skating away from the two adult cybertronians.

As the two siblings blindly skate through the forest, they have no idea what direction they are going, only that they had to create as much distance between them and the evil spider bot. Unfortunately, it seems luck is not on their side as soon, they are able to hear...

"Jack! Spitfire! Come out, Come out where ever you are. I just want to play!" Airachnid taunts, listening for any sound that may lead her to the children.

Spitfire just speeds up, scared out of her mind of what the Decepticon will do to them if she got her hands on them.

"That's the spirit, children! Play hard to get." Airachnid cackles with glee, the thrill of the hunt invigorating her.

Spitfire bolts over a fallen tree and transforms back into Rosa as she and Jack hide behind it. They try to slow their breathing, being as quiet as possible when they hear Airachnid approach the other side of the tree they are currently behind. Rosa pushes herself closer to Jack as they watch Airachnid step over the tree, seemingly not noticing them.

"Hello, children!" She jumps scares them, putting her face just inches from theirs.

"AHHHHH!" Rosa's defensive protocols activate as she transforms back into bot mode, and chucks her disks right at Airachnids face, allowing them to a few seconds to escape back over the tree.

Airachind continues to give chase. "You're making this too easy, children. And I do not enjoy being bored."

Spitfire uses her speed to jump a small ravine, holding onto tightly onto Jack to not lose him to a psycho bot. They spot Airachnids ship up a head.

"Jackie! The ship crashed!" Jack looks at his sister like she's grown another head.

"So not the time Rosie! Decepticon trying to kill us remember?" He shouts, watching as Airachnid starts catching up.

"I have plan!" Spitfire goes human as they duck under the ship.

Airachnid slowly climbs over her ship, and dismounts near the entrance in bipedal mode.

"If you wanted a tour, Jack, all you had to do was ask." She figured they went into the ship, trying to hide. "Did you spot the empty space? I hope you like it. It's where you'll soon hang your head." She grins, swaggering into the ship, thinking she has them cornered.

"Energon." Jack says, looking down at the highly toxic to humans substance, that he just stepped in!

"Ka-boom!" Spitfire grins, watching as Jack uses his flint and steel to set fire to a stick.

"Jack?" Jack speeds up, hearing the con getting closer after she realized they were not on the ship, and just as she appears at the top, is able to gain a flame to throw into the ships fuel tank, effectively setting the ship ablaze. One last "Jack!" Can be heard as Airachnid is seemingly engulfed in flames.

"Now lets go find Arcee and get the hell out of dodge!" Jack exclaims, running back in the direction they came from, finally out of danger. Or... so they thought.

They feel it before they hear it, as a web is shot at Jacks foot leaving him stuck in place. Spitfire looks up to the trees to see Airachnid covered in flames glaring at them, aiming to shoot another web, this time aimed at Spitfire. Before either could even try to move, the web hits Spitfire directly in the chest, knocking her and Jack into the tree behind them. Airachnid approaches them with glee and satisfaction as they struggle to get loose, to no avail.

"I assure you, you won't be able to escape my webs. You might as well give up, because in a matter of moments Jacks head will mine, and so will little Spitfire." Her fingers ghosts over both their faces, before she pulls away.

"Don't touch my sister! Leave her alone!" Jack growls, knocking her hand away from him.

"Your not even the same species," Airachind rolls her eyes. "And I'm guessing you don't know a thing about where she came from or from whom created her."

"She's my sister, who I love and will do whatever it takes to protect her from the likes of you, and that's all I need to know!" Jack surprises Airachnid by slicing through the webs with his pocket knife and swipes at her. It turns out that Jacks surprise attack was all the distraction they needed for Arcee to knock Airachnid away from them.

"Arcee! Your ok!" Spitfire cheers, catching her attention.

"Are you two ok? She didn't lay a hand on you did she?" She cuts the webs off of them, and looks for any kind of injuries.

"It was close, but we're ok. You came just in time Arcee." Jack shakes his head, waving away her concerns.

They hear the sound of drilling coming from the way Arcee knocked Airachnid towards and looked over just in time to see Airachind escape into the earth.

"Airachnid!" Arcee bolts over to the hole, shooting into its depths in hopes of hitting the wretched spider. "So much for closure." She sighs, putting her blasters away.

"Now Airachnid's stuck here on earth." Jack observes, looking towards the ruined space ship. "And i'm not sure that's such a good thing."

"We'll be ready when she comes back!" Spitfire spins her disks around her finger, grinning at her elder brother. "Right Arcee?"

"Right." Arcee nods, I'm sorry you had to face my demons today." She apologizes, feeling guilty for ever bringing them out here. "You were pretty fearless there, you two."

"Actually, I was terrified." Jack admits, "Mostly for you."

"Me to! But Arcee was so brave, and cool! And you kicked spider butt!" Spitfire starts to fangirl, successfully making Arcee feel better, as she places two fingers to her com link.

"Ratchet, requesting ground bridge. Need to get my partners far away from any oversized insects." She looks down at the children with a smirk.

"Partners, huh?" Jack teased.

"Junior partners. I can still pull rank."

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED EVERYONES BEEN!?" Came Ratchets voice, as the bright blue and green ground bridge opened right behind them.

"We were a little..." Arcee starts

"Tied up." Spitfire finishes as they step through, putting an end to their newest near death experience behind them.
