It's Chaldea's first day at the Council. Their first task? Proving their power to the leaders of the Japanese Faction.

"Is he still not here? I told him about the time for each mission" - Marth said as he and his sister were talking.

"He's not really making a good impression. I hope they have more to show later today, or else we'll have to discard them" -

"I'll go check on what he's doing, he better be at least getting ready" -

He then started making his way through the hallways of the Diet Building until he arrived at the room that was designated for Ritsuka. Without knocking, he opened the door and the scene that he came across surprised him greatly.

Mash, alongside Meltlilith, Ereshkigal, Charlotte, Castoria and Morgan were all hugging him, even in the small bed, and the boy simply looked at Marth and said - "Help me" - in a weak voice.

"I'm seriously starting to repent the choices I made yesterday, but..." - with a burst of flames, he teleported everyone out of the bed. Lucky for him, all but Ritsuka were already dressed - "Get ready, and this is the last time we'll tolerate something like this" -

After Ritsuka got dressed (and got scolded by Marth and Flora for being late), he and the Servants were called to a small training facility that had been made outside of the Diet Building.

"The Japanese Faction is always looking for strong warriors to fill the ranks, after all we're the newest and weakest of the 5. Seeing how you're all great heroes from the past, I wish to see how well you'd fare in battle. Fujimaru, pick 10 of your strongest Servants and I'll fight them here and now" - Marth said while he prepared himself for the fight.

Didn't take long to select all 10 fighters: Karna, Arjuna, Gil, Morgan, Melusine, Super Orion, Scathatch, Astarte, Vortigern and Enkidu. The 10 took positions around Marth, waiting for the signal.

"Start!" - Flora yelled.

The first to make a move was Melusine, charging and trying to hit Marth, but the boy stopped her with a wall of flames before kicking her away.

Astarte followed, shooting an energy sphere which he blocked with a fireball. This gave Enkidu an opening, and he managed to slash him in the back and send him towards Super Orion, who punched Marth and sent him flying.

Karna and Arjuna took flight towards him, but mid air, the boy reacted and summoned flaming chains which he used to trap the two and crash them onto the earth.

That small victory didn't ment much as Morgan and Gilgamesh started attacking him with projectiles from the ground, which he was forced to dodge.

"I feel like I'm in a bullet hell" -

Using his control over fire, he summoned an eruption from beneath their feet, distracting the two Servants and allowing him to get close, hitting Gilgamesh in the stomach and launching Morgan towards rocks.

From behind, Enkidu shot his chains and managed to grab Marth's arm, which Melusine used as an opportunity to deliver a barrage of powerful attacks left and right.

"Perfect, but not enough yet!" -

He then tried to escape from the chains, but noted that doing so was a lot more difficult than what he had expected.

"These chains work best to restrain beings with Divinity, and it seems you are one of those" - the Servant said as more chains trapped Marth's other limbs.

"I like you, but if you think this will be enough, you're dead wrong" -

Using his flames, he burned the chains and teleported himself in front of Enkidu, punching him and sending him flying away before summoning pillars of flames from the Earth to drive away the other Servants.

"True Name - Feigned deployment, the pure lake surface will reflect the moonlight. Sink! Innocence Arondight!" -

Marth saw Melusine fast approaching after having deployed her Noble Phantasm. That attack would nearly kill him, so he had to fire back with one of his own.

"Let it be known, for this is the flames that scorched even the golden land of gods. Humanity's sins will be the downfall of the Almighty! Cavae Blue Animae!" -

A star of pure crimson flames was shot directly at Melusine, resulting in a gigantic explosion and both of them falling to the ground, the Fae now having parts of her armor significantly damaged.

"This is the most fun I've had in a while, keep going everyone, let's...!" -

Before the boy could finish speaking, a huge fireball was created in the sky above them, almost like a second sun, which immediately started raising the temperature to an insane degree.

"Oh crap, that wasn't supposed to happen" - Marth said as he made the fireball disappear - "Sorry about that everyone" -

"What even was that thing?" - Fujimaru asked.

"That's one of my abilities, Desolate Land. It wasn't supposed to be activated right now so I apologize" -

After that, the battle was called off by Flora and the Servants returned to Ritsuka.

"Not going to lie, I'm impressed. When I saw you fighting Typhon's bastard, I didn't thought much of you at all, but I'm glad to see I was mistaken" -

"Great, so does that mean we'll get our first...?'" -

"Not so fast, there's still something I want to test" -

"Huh?" -

"The Servants are prominent warriors, that's for sure, but... I'm interested in seeing the abilities of the one who commands them" -

"W-Wait! Senpai is just a human, against you he wouldn't stand a chance!" - Mash yelled while putting herself in front of Ritsuka.

"I'm... Well aware of that, so I won't be going all out. However, that doesn't mean we can't have a hand to hand" -

Ritsuka was a bit nervous after hearing such an idea, but at the same time he was curious about testing Marth's fighting abilities in a 1 on 1.

"If you don't use any of your fire powers, I'll gladly fight with you" -

"Of course I wouldn't, I'm not going to risk the life of another human. Come, let's begin" -

Both entered a fighting stance, with Ritsuka hoping that his training with the Heroic Spirits of Chaldea would allow him to pull through.

"Ready? Fight!" - Flora yelled, and Marth made the first move.
