A/N: Well, the website screwed up the formatting for the chapter for some reason. Hopefully it's back to normal now. Let me know if anything has to be fixed, trying to get this all edited before work so I might not have time to fix everything.

Accidentally Sparking a Revolution

"You saw a blond Hibari-senpai?!" Tsuna exclaims. Shizuka nodded, taking out the money she'd pocketed. "He was wearing a police uniform. If Alaude was there, then Vongola might not exist yet."

Byakuran counted the money and sighed. "This might be enough for a decent meal and a place to sleep. Don't expect it to be very comfortable though."

Shizuka shrugged. "I'm fine with sleeping on the floor or whatever. Just wish I had Kuro with me." The black cat was nowhere near the teens when the bazooka went off. And she doubted her brother would approve of picking a random cat off the street for her anxiety.

Both teens were out of their element while Byakuran was thrilled to have this new experience." Or... we could just break into a building. It would leave more money for food." Byakuran says without remorse.

"Yeah, because we know exactly what buildings are in use right now and which are abandoned." Tsuna says, Shizuka looked thoughtful. "We could see if they have an embassy..."

"You guys just want to commit crime don't you?"

"Tsu-nii, you're too innocent for the mafia world." Shizuka says bluntly.

The stew they had that night was bland and Shizuka almost got into a fist fight with one of the other customers in the inn. Not even the presence of her brother and Byakuran had stopped the wolf whistles directed towards her.

"Whoever romanticized the past forgot the bits about disease and misogyny. Not that it doesn't exist in our time but in the past it's way worse." Shizuka grumbles.

Maybe this was why every time there was a popular movie with time travel, the protagonist was always a white male.

"We could use that to our advantage." Byakuran says thoughtfully.

"If I get to punch someone in the face, then I'm in." Shizuka says in slumped in defeat, wishing the two were bickering like usual.

"What's the plan?" He asks.

"We're going to use our lovely Shizuka-chan as bait."

Shizuka and Tsuna both shared a look of unease. "I don't know if you realize this but I'm not exactly a conventional beauty." Shizuka admits, gesturing to untamed hair similar to her brother's and the fact she was wearing men's clothing for the time period.

"Don't worry, I learned some fashion tips from Bluebell." Byakuran says.

Nothing from this time period you didn't! Tsuna and Shizuka thought in horror.

Through a mix of flames and some sort of almost cult-like ritual Shizuka's hair was straightened with minimal casualties and was pinned back to reveal her dark blue eyes.

Tsuna and Byakuran watched from a safe distance, ready to intervene if things went too far.

She was stopped near an alley way, a well-dressed man eyeing her attire in an embarrassingly obvious way. All the man was missing was large cartoon hearts in place of his eyes. Shizuka spoke Italian with a thick accent, looking visibly uncomfortable with the attention she was getting.

"Let's just find another way to get money." Tsuna says, ready to walk over and pull his sister away from the situation. A hand touched Shizuka's shoulder as she visibly froze, the man getting closer to her.

Before Byakuran could say anything Tsunayoshi rushed forward, punching the man in the face and knocking him just watched with wide eyes. This was something she'd expect from one of her guardians, not her usually peaceful brother.

Tsuna hissed in pain, shaking his now bleeding fist. And unfortunately for them, a familiar man had been nearby to see the assault.

"There went my plan to just erase his memory of this." She says shakily, looking for a wallet or coin purse. She had more sympathy for Kyoko now, that was for sure.

"It seems that Italy needs our involvement more than I thought."

Tsuna and Shizuka both froze, refusing to look at the officer and mentally praying that whatever deity was feeling merciful would distract the almost carbon copy of Kyoya.

Instead of beginning a blood bath, Alaude walked forward and observed the scene.

Shizuka was visibly pale and Tsunayoshi stood in front of her protectively. He nodded to himself, able to piece together what happened."Theft is still a crime." He states.

Tsuna and Shizuka looked at each other in shock. He was...letting them go? A shrill whistle was blown as Shizuka mentally cursed.

I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth! Shizuka grabbed Tsuna's arm and dragged him behind her, making sure to veil them both in Mist flames as soon as they were out of sight.

"I can't believe we survived that." Shizuka pants.

Tsuna glared. "I tried telling you this was a bad idea! And now we've lost Byakuran!"

Shizuka seemed to shrink at the reprimand and Tsuna mentally sighed. He hated to say it but she'd probably been scared away from trying anything similar in the future.

There was a strong tug at their flames before they found themselves surrounded by smoke once again.

We left Byakuran in the past, his guardians are gonna kill us! Tsuna thought in terror.

Thankfully whatever Verde had done to bring them back brought everyone back to the present.

Shizuka ran straight to Daichi, visibly trembling in a hug. This reaction caused several glares to be directed to the one that sent them to the past in the first place.

Verde felt actual guilt and walked over to the teen, giving no protest to the teen hugging him to her chest."Juudaime, what happened?" Gokudera exclaims, Byakuran just chuckled. "He defended his sister's honor. That look on your face was spine chilling." The older teen says a bit too jovially.

"Let's not tell the Hibari about this." Gokudera says bluntly. The family was like a pack of wolves. If one of their own was threatened, nothing could stop them from lashing out at the one that wronged. For everyone's sanity they were never going to build a time machine.

They did not need history to be irreparably damaged because one of the Clouds killed someone that wasn't supposed to die in the past.

Bonus: An Unfortunate Mix-up

The punch to the face the aristocrat suffered was severe enough to confuse his memories of the event. He could only recall the face of his attacker and the wild hair. What he couldn't remember was the color of their hair.

Alaude could only watch the chaos unfold as the officers came to the incorrect conclusion that Giotto was the culprit. He may have matured since he was a fight obsessed teenager but the thrill of a chase would never leave.

Shizuka and Tsunayoshi were blissfully unaware of the ripples they'd left behind in their wake. Once Tsuna was able to access the echoes of the past leaders of Vongola however Primo would visibly give him the cold shoulder before learning why his descendant took his first step in becoming a criminal for him.
