Chapter 5: Hinata's Pain
* Three Weeks Later *
Naruto was sitting in the academy class with his friend talking when he heard " Does anyone know what happened to Hinata?" Naruto looked around at everyone then at Choji and said " Sick?" Naruto saw everyone confused so he shrugged when he heard the door open so he looked at it seeing Hinata wearing her normal outfit but bandages on her forehead. Naruto smiled and waved at her which made Hinata look at him. Naruto saw Hinata quickly look away and walk to the other side of the room and sit in the complete opposite of them. Naruto looked at his friends then said " What's that about?" Naruto saw everyone confused so he turned and was about to get up when the bell rang so he groaned. Naruto looked around then at Hinata and quickly did a jutsu.
Naruto smiled as he appeared next to Hinata as he did a replacement jutsu with the person next to her. Naruto waved to his friends, seeing them confused at first before smiling. Naruto looked at Hinata seeing her look away so he said " Hinata." Naruto didn't get an answer and he could tell something was going on so he put his hand on hers and said " What's ever going on tell me when you're ready. Naruto saw Hinata pull her hand away which made him frown. Naruto had to admit he got a little closer with Hinata and they've done stuff like putting hands on top of each other, pocking or tickling each other. Naruto looked forward and listened to Iruka.
* Hours Later *
Naruto walked out of the academy with his friends beside Hinata. Naruto couldn't help but think about Hinata so he said " Does anyone know anything of what happened with Hinata?" Naruto saw his friends shake their heads and heard " Still on your mind." Naruto nodded and said " She was completely disconnected from me and everyone and she looked like she was in pain being next to me and at the academy in general." Naruto felt a hand on his shoulder so he looked at Shino just to hear " You guys are close she'll come around." Naruto nodded and said " I know." Naruto just looked up and after a couple seconds he said " Hey I'm going to head home see you guys later." Naruto saw everyone nod so he walked off. Naruto quickly headed home to the Hokage tower.
Naruto entered the fifth floor to see the Hokage and just walked past him going straight to his room. Naruto was almost at the door when he heard " Naruto." Naruto stopped and turned towards the Hokage and said " Yea." Naruto saw the Hokage walk up then heard " What's up with you?" Naruto sighed then said " Hinata was acting weird today and she won't even look at me." Naruto saw the Hokage nod and heard " Now the full truth." Naruto nodded and said " I'm scared she knows and hates me." Naruto saw the Hokage nod and heard " Well she doesn't know?" Naruto looked at the Hokage in confusion when he realized and said " You know why she's acting weird." Naruto saw the Hokage nod then heard " Yea and it's not my thing to tell." Naruto nodded and said " I'm going to mess with some seals to get my mind off things." Naruto saw the Hokage nod so he said " Ok." Naruto then entered the nearby room then his room and started working on a seal he's been working on.
* End of Academy Next Day *
Naruto was getting up from his seat about to head home by himself, his friends having clan stuff to do. Naruto was about to leave when he heard " Hinata." Naruto looked at the door and saw a woman with long black hair wearing a ninja combat dress that stopped above the knees that was white and looked like bandages. Naruto saw a mesh shirt under the dress and she only had one sleeve that was red. Naruto looked at Hinata seeing her walk to the woman and they walked off. Naruto saw Anko walk in and so he smiled and said " Anko what are you doing here?" Naruto saw Anko smile and quickly glance at Iruka then back so he chuckled and said " You know I know right, so do all my friends." Naruto saw Anko blush and nod then walk to Iruka and kiss him.
Naruto was about to walk out the door when he heard " You ok?" Naruto stopped and turned towards Anko and shook his head then said " No but it's ok." Naruto saw Anko shake her head then heard " Let's go get dango and talk." Naruto just nodded and walked to the exit seeing Anko kiss Iruka on the cheek then head to him. Naruto just chuckled and left the academy with Anko. Naruto and Anko headed through the village to Anko's favorite dango stand.
Naruto took a bite of his dango when he heard " So what's with you?" Naruto sighed then said " It's Hinata she's acting really weird." Naruto saw Anko nod so he said " She won't talk to me or anyone and she won't respond to me or won't even let me touch her." Naruto saw Anko nod so he said " She has bandages on her forehead as well. Naruto saw Anko nod so he said " Also a woman came to the academy and took Hinata." Naruto saw Anko nod then heard " Does she have red eyes and wears a ninja dress like bandages and a red sleeve?" Naruto nodded and then heard " I've seen her around." Naruto nodded again then said " Ok." Naruto took another bite of his food then said " I'm going to head home and work on some seals." Naruto saw Anko nod so he smiled and left heading home.
* End of The Week *
Naruto waved to his friends as he entered Iruka's academy class room. Naruto walked up to his friends and sat down then said " I finished my project." Naruto pulled out a scroll and set it on the table. Naruto unrolled the scroll to show a seal. Naruto smiled at it then he looked at his friends then said " That's right you guys have no idea what it does." Naruto smiled then said " I call it the Paralyzation Web. It fits on a tag and if it's on an enemy the seal takes the enemy chakra and uses it to expand and it also turns it into lighting chakra and paralyzes what limb it's on like an arm or leg but it can't do the chest or back." Naruto saw his friends smile so he did, then he rolled up the scroll and pulled out a tag and said " I also created a jutsu of copying seals to other objects." Naruto saw his friends nod so he just smiled. Naruto heard the door open and he saw Hinata walk in and go where she's been sitting for a week so he looked at his friends and then at Hinata and mumbled " Sorry but I can't wait. "
* Hours Later *
Naruto walked out of the academy with his friends when he heard " Just go do it." Naruto looked at all of his friends and nodded with a small smile then said " I'll be back." Naruto then walked off heading to where Hinata walked as he followed her one day. Naruto leaned against a tree waiting for Hinata when he saw Hinata walk in front of him. Naruto smiled and said " Hinata." Naruto saw Hinata look at him for a quick second then away and speed up her walking speed so he said walking towards her " Hinata what's going on with you?" Naruto saw Hinata stop and turn and then heard her say quietly " Leave me alone." Naruto shook his head then said " No not until you tell me something."
Naruto saw Hinata stand there for a couple of seconds then run off. Naruto was shocked by this but just ran after her. Naruto ran through the village to quickly go to the outskirts of the village and then to the training grounds. Naruto stopped at a training ground as he ran for about twenty minutes non-stop. Naruto was breathing slightly heavily as he looked at Hinata when he heard " Why won't you leave me alone?" Naruto sighed then said " Because there is something wrong with my friend and I'm going to figure it out then help them solve it." Naruto saw Hinata just standing there looking at the ground. Naruto walked towards Hinata just to stop a few feet away and said " Hinata, what's wrong?" Naruto took a step forward just for Hinata to step back. Naruto sighed at this then after a couple of minutes said " Hinata."
Naruto just looked at Hinata for a couple of minutes in silence when he heard " Naruto you have a big dream to be Hokage and I don't want to be a burden to that." Naruto was shocked by the statement and said " Hinata, where did you get that idea?" Naruto saw Hinata look up at him for a quick second then down and heard " It's the truth, I'm weak and will just burden you." Naruto shook his head and said " No it's not true." Naruto took a step forward then he said " How told you that you're weak." Naruto saw tears fall down Hinata's cheeks and her legs gave out so he ran as she collapsed and caught her. Naruto hugged Hinata as they fell to their knees and after a couple of seconds said " Who told you that you're weak."
Naruto didn't get an answer for a couple of minutes and after hearing Hinata sniffle he heard her say " My father did." Naruto's eyes widened when he heard a chuckle and then heard " I should say he's not my father any more." Naruto pulled back and looked at Hinata just to see her move back a little then he saw her go for her bandages. Naruto saw Hinata unwrap the bandages to see a seal on her forehead. Naruto's eyes widened just to hear " It's the banishment seal from the Hyuga clan. I can't use my blood line and it's like the birdcage seal but also I can't have children." Naruto nodded and then heard " That woman that took it earlier this week is Kurenai Yuhi, someone I've known for a while and has adopted me." Naruto nodded and said " Why didn't you tell me?" Naruto saw Hinata smile and heard " Scared mainly." Naruto chuckled and hugged Hinata and said " Well Hinata Yuhi you're still my best friend." Naruto heard a chuckle so he smiled then said " Come on." Naruto and Hinata told their friends that Naruto found out Anko and Kurenai are friends so Kurenai and Anko started training everyone.
