I wake up, feeling fully refreshed as I take a look at my phone and see a text message from an unknown number.

'Stay away from Ava. Next time won't be a warning.'

There's no picture of the person who sent me that but I can already guess it's that bitch Enid who's trying to intimidate me into doing what she wants.

She's probably jealous that Ava's been spending all of her time with me these past couple of weeks.

If we weren't training together, then we would for each other after class and go chill at our usual spot, which is a skating park near the dojo.

Ava asked me out on a date yesterday after her [REP] went to 75, so that was something to look forward to since I didn't have any experience with this back in my first life but I'm sure I can manage.

The date would happen tonight and I had to pick her up at 6:30 and bring her back at 10:00, orders from her father, not hers.

I also started to get nightmares a week ago.

It was showing me killing those people the first day I got here but I don't know why.

But that shouldn't last too long, I think.

Welp, time to do something productive, which is training at the dojo.

I wear my uniform then use my [Super Speed] to run straight to the dojo, where I'm left with a surprise because I see Sensei Colleen talking with Bakuto and for some reason, a teary-eyed Enid is there alongside a couple of students, who are pinned down by foot soldiers.

I sneak in and phase my entire body out of existence to listen to what Colleen has to say.

"Please, Sensei! Just give me a little bit of time. They're not ready for the Hand! They'll die if you send them in!"

"Nonsense. Their harsh training will allow them to survive the reality of this world. Take them away!"Bakuto as the foot soldiers forcefully grab the kids and begin walking outside of the dojo but one falls with his face burnt off.

"You know, just 'cause it's your dojo doesn't mean you can steal kids away from their families, "I say as I unphased myself the kids all stand behind me and the foot soldiers grab their weapons so I pull out Kurikara from my [Inventory], ready for a fight.

"Well well, look who we have here. I thought you had school today but no matter. I'll make you an offer. Join the Hand and I'll let them go or refuse and they'll take your place."Bakuto says as I growl at him.

"Fine, I'll join you. Just let them go."I say to him, scowling as his smirk grows but he leaves before he can say anything about my weakness, which is not being able to make up my mind.

I collapse to the ground, still in disbelief that I've grown significantly weaker, emotionally I mean.

"Why did you do that? You don't Bakuto as I know him! You're going to suffer. Do you understand that, Nate?"Colleen asks as Ava steps inside the dojo and sees the look of defeat and despair on my face as she quickly rushes over to hug me.

"It's fine. I'll be able to protect you guys so that's all that matters to me."I say.

Never will I show weakness to the enemy if they hold the people I hold dear in danger.

I will become stronger than the gods inhabiting this world.

I will surpass them all because that's our destiny of us humans.

To constantly grow when we are being challenged.

I will become powerful, that's a promise.

Sensing my newfound determination, Sensei Colleen nods her then goes into her office and comes back with a letter she then motions for me to take it so I do so and use [Observe] on it.

Miyagi-Fang address

Description: This contains the address of another dojo in the U.S. called Miyagi-Fang.

This is just what I need to become stronger in martial arts and power up this proficiency of mine.

"Thank you sensei but I will come back to spar from time to time. I promise."I say as I reluctantly pry Ava off of me then quickly leave the small building to go find the dojo, which shouldn't take too long thanks to me using my [Super speed].

As I run towards it, I can't help but ask the Game why people seem so accepting of us mutants using our powers in public.

It was due to Charles Xavier and Erik Charles's intervention back when the X-Men fought Apocalypse. A law was issued so that all mutants would be trained by Professor Charles and Magneto at the Mutant Academy, which in this timeline, has the peaceful approach of Xavier but are internally ruthless like Magneto. The best of both worlds.

Great...

I have to deal with a bunch of ass-whooping pacifists with superpowers.

This is just wonderful.

I finally arrive at the dojo and pinch myself from geeking out.

It's mother fucking William Zabka and Ralph Macchio! Two of my favourite Karate Kid and Cobra Kai actors.

Sure there's Jacob Bertrand and Tanner Buchanan but sometimes, you've gotta be able to appreciate the classics.

I step inside the garden as one of the kids glares at me sp I glare at him as well before Daniel steps in front of me as I calm down and throw him a nod.

"Can I help you?" He asks as I hand him the letter.

"Yeah, my sensei gave me this letter and it sent me to your dojo for training probably, "I reply as he skims over the letter before Johnny reads it as well as three kids stand beside them but I already know who they are.

Robby Keene, Miguel Diaz and Eli Moskowitz or Hawk as the fandom calls him.

If I can learn from them and Cobra Kai if they exist, that should be enough to increase my martial arts.

"How strong are you?"Daniel asks as I slip into a fighting stance but Robby, Miguel and Hawk also do the same as I glare at each of them, trying to figure out who would be the easiest to defeat.

It should be Hawk but I can somehow sense his confidence, which is going to be a problem since I'm not sure if I can beat any of them without using my powers.

"Settle down! You've got some experience. We can use that for the upcoming tournament. You'll be training with both of us so you can learn some offensive and defensive moves. Sounds good?"Johhny says as I nod my head before doing a mid-bow and following them to where the other students are training.

I get started on learning the Miyagi-Do katas but with [Gamer's Body] and my extended knowledge of martial arts, it doesn't take me too long to learn them.

I then make a couple of temporal duplicates, who begin learning the Eagle Fang's kata while I go contact Bakuto for some training, thinking that he might as well make himself useful.

I don't trust him but he should prove himself to be useful in making me stronger.

My duplicates make sure to not be seen by the other students as I'm done talking to Bakuto, who is busy trying to find the Iron Fist in New York so he could claim his power for himself.

Good luck with that mother fucker, Danny doesn't show for a couple of years and besides, you won't live long enough to see him.

I fuse with my duplicates as a [Notification] window opens so I mentally open it.

I did the two senseis farewell and use my [Super speed] to run to Ava's house then stop once I'm near her

"Hey, how's everyone back there?"I ask her as we both embrace each other.

"Sensei's missing you and so do I for that matter, "Ava says as we let go of each other and walk to a nearby park to get started on our date.

The next few hours I spend with her are some of the best I've ever had.

We go explore the best of Brooklyn, enjoying each other's company.

By the time our date is over, I have successfully got her at the 90 REP, which means I only have ten more points to get a [Perk] from her.

I drop her off at her house and go back home with a huge grin on my face.

I head inside my room and go lay on my bed, soon entering a deep sleep.
