AN: Hello. The next chapter of the story. Made for Tumblr user princessquinnella.
Enjoy!
Ratigan waited at his throne for his dinner guest to arrive. He was excited that this is finally happening. Soon he will have everything he desires; power over Mousedom and his own queen by his side. And tonight he will make her his.
As soon as he sees her coming, he gets up and walks to her. "You look exquisite, my dear." he said gently. "Spin around for me." Quinnella spun slowly, fearing upsetting him. "Ah, yes. You look beautiful." He said pleased. "Please, have a seat."
Quinnella didn't want to, but she could hear a little hint of growling in his voice, so she sat at the table. As soon as he sat at the table, the light went down, leaving only the candlelights. One of the minions comes with their food. Not sure what fairies eat, but whatever was on the plate sure wasn't her liking. She tried to eat things she could, but there wasn't much. Because she hadn't eaten much these past three weeks, she had no choice but to try. Oh, if animal fairies saw this they would pass out. She took one bite to try it, but it felt disgusting.
"Not into meat?" Ratigan asks teasingly.
Quinnella didn't say a word as she used a napkin to spit the piece out of her mouth. Mostly because there wasn't anything nice to say and she feared he would get angry. Luckily, there was dessert which she could eat, which she did.
"I'm very pleased with your work so far. Such utter perfection, just like you." Ratigan said while holding the wine glass. "and I expect it to continue."
"What? How many jewels do you want me to make?" Quinnella asked in shock.
"Oh, there are many things to consider." Ratigan said. "But so far I expect you to make the Crown jewels first."
Quinnella gets up from the table upsettingly and walks away before Ratigan ferociously slams his fist upon the table. "Sit, my dear!" He ordered threateningly. Quinnella walked slowly back to her seat without looking at him while he finished his wine.
After a few minutes, music was heard from a huge gramophone. Ratigan smiles hearing it and gets up before going to offer his hand to Quinnella. "May I have this dance?" He asked.
Quinnella wanted to refuse, but the way he reacted before made her accept it. She didn't dare to take a risk if he would tear up her wings or something.
The music was sweet and gentle, but you could swear there was some passion hinted in it. Ratigan danced gracefully and luckily Quinnella kept up. Back at home, in Pixie Hollow, there has been dancing, but it was mostly for fun with friends. This was very new to her and because of the rat, even unpleasant. She desperately wanted to get free, but he held her firmly against him. Neither one of them noticed a silhouette coming down and sneaking away.
"You know I've never felt this way about anyone…you're absolutely divine." He whispered to her. Quinnella shut her eyes. She was feeling very uncomfortable with the way he said it. The way his hand moves on her back, a bit lower to her behind. She wanted to get free, but he held her against him. "Such beauty you have…is something out of this world." He continued before spinning her and moving her back close to him. "I want to rule, you by my side, a talent and beauty unmatched - save for my own." He chuckles. "I'll ensure your every need is taken care of, you shall want for nothing." He takes her face in his hand before whispering something to her. "Only the best for my beloved Queen…"
Quinnella went stiff on what she heard while Ratigan took the chance and kissed her tenderly. His Queen? Is he serious? She quickly moved away from the kiss and covered her mouth in shock while he smiled and came close.
"Come my darling." he said while entrapping her in a firm embrace. "I've got something to show you…"
He leads her to the luxurious room and the first thing he shows to her are the outfits. "I hope you like them. I picked them just for you."
Quinnella stayed looking at the white dress. It sure was beautiful, but… the idea that it was a wedding dress and the fact of who is the groom, made her shiver. "It's…it's beautiful…" she said shakingly.
"You'll look radiant in it." He chuckles. "Although…I'm particularly… 'excited' by this one." He said showing the transparent magenta robe.
Quinnella got shivers, in a bad way. That transparency and color could only mean one thing. She tries to walk backward to get closer to the door before she collapses for some reason. Her body feels numb. How is that possible?
"Looks like the drug worked." Ratigan chuckles.
"Drug?"
"Oh, I may have put something in your dessert. It's not deadly, but you won't be able to move for a while." Ratigan told. "Which is fine by me." He smirks evilly as he picks her into his arms and carries her to the bed.
Quinnella quickly realized what he was up to. Deep down she wanted to fight back, but her body was numb.
"No! Please, don't do this…!" she yells as she is laid down on the mattress.
"I told you before, I expect you to be submissive to me. Did you think I simply meant that in matters of your work?" He said while removing his cravat. "I wanted to save this for our wedding night, but you're absolutely ravishing… Since you are "submissive" enough, I shall have you now." He growls as he starts to take off her dress.
"No!" She cries.
"You can yell all you want. You will be mine!" He smirked evilly as his hand moved over her undergarments to cup one of her breasts. "It's your duty as my Queen to serve me. However, I see fit!"
Then suddenly someone pulled Ratigan's cape over his face and hit him so hard that he got knocked out to the floor.
Quinnella looks scaredly at who did that. In front of her stood a mouse with a beard and mustache and a scar on his left eye. Quinnella has seen all of Ratigan's minions, but this was definitely not one of them. There was something about his eyes…
He walks slowly to her quivering form and he offers his coat, wrapping it around her. "It's alright, you're safe now…" he said in a gentle voice. He seemed to realize she couldn't move because of the drug Ratigan gave her, so he gently picked her in his arms in bridal style before running out of the room.
He came to the main hall which still had dim lighting. He went to one of the ropes which held the central chandelier up. He let Quinnella down on her feet while holding her close by the waist before picking a gun and shooting three other ropes that hold the chandelier up. By its weight, the last rope was losing its hold so the mouse took hold of it as he and Quinnella got up to the crack on the roof.
Once they got up, the chandelier crashed, in which all Ratigan's minions came to see what had happened. None of them noticed them get out. As soon as they got down from the barrel they could hear Ratigan shout in fury.
"AAAARGH! FIND HER! GET ME THAT RUFFIAN AND MY BRIDE!"
As if by cue, the mouse picked Quinnella back into his arms and ran away in a certain direction.
"How you know where to…"
"Trust me." He answers her.
Quinnella wasn't sure how he knew where to go, but she was hoping he would find a way out of here. Suddenly to her shock they arrived at the main pipe where water was flowing fast.
As in sensing her fear, he spoke to her. "I know you can't swim, but you need to trust me. It's the only way. I won't let you… ARGH!"
There was a gunshot as something hit his right arm and he had to put her down. Luckily the drug has worn a bit so that she could stand properly, but not walk or fly.
Then they heard how they were surrounded from behind. Ratigan passed through his minions to come front. The mouse hold Quinnella close while stood front of the rat.
"Who are you and how do you DARE take my bride?!" Ratigan shouted angrily.
"You really think she deserves a slimy, contemptible, sewer rat like you?!" The mouse shouted at him.
All his minions gasped hearing that while Ratigan's eyes went wide. That voice, that insult… "Basil…" he growls, baring his fangs.
The mouse took his beard and mustache off. Even the fake scar. Quinnella was surprised by this. She has heard some fairies in Kensington gardens talking about what happens among animals, especially about Mousedon. Basil of Baker Street has been mentioned many times on how smart and brave he is. And now he stood right next to her.
Seeing the detective's hand upon his bride, made Ratigan boil in anger. His archnemesis's hand on HIS QUEEN! Oh, how much he desires to pull a trigger and kill him right there and now, but he wasn't stupid. He will lose her for sure. But with an injured arm, Basil can't fight back. But Basil wasn't stupid either.
"Tough situation, Professor." Basil smirks. "This will end only one way."
"If that would you tortured to death I agree." Ratigan said, keeping his appearance with an evil smile. "Give me back my bride and I may let you go, alive."
"I choose option C." Basil said before he jumped, Quinnella in his arms, to the water. Ratigan tries to stop them, but it is too late. The water went so fast and they could already be who knows where.
"FIND THEM!" He roared as it echoed in pipes.
