Author's Notes: Sorry for making this short I started filling in the rest of the space with nothing important so I didn't see the point of posting it.
Chapter 8: Being a Ninja* Five Days Later *
Naruto was sitting with his friends just talking, they all had their headbands. Naruto heard the class door open so he looked at the door seeing Iruka walk in which meant class started. Naruto saw Iruka look at a clipboard then heard " Ok first the Rookie Ninja of the year is Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto just nodded when he heard " That demon had to cheat, no one can beat my Sasuke." Naruto looked at Sakura then back at Iruka hearing " Next is team assignments." Naruto just nodded slightly worried as he knew the most likely team he'd be on and didn't want to be. Naruto listened to Iruka as he started naming teams then heard " Team seven is Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, Kiba Inuzuka with your sensei being Kakashi Hatake." Naruto heard a high pitch " Yes." So he looked at the source then said " Shit I won't hear after this."
Naruto saw Sakura glare at him so he just looked back hearing " Team eight is Hinata Yuhi, Shikamaru Nara, Naruto Uzumaki and your sensei is Kurenai Yuhi." Naruto smiled when he heard " I'm not with Choji and Ino." Naruto looked at Shikamaru then said " I told Kurenai that Shino is better with them two as his bugs offer similar abilities to yours but also extra making it a better squad." Naruto saw Shikamaru nod then looked back as Iruka said " Team ten is Shino Ambrama, Ino Yamanaka and Choji Akamichi." Naruto saw Iruka look up and heard " Get into your team and chat as the sensei's come to get you." Naruto just looked at his team, they were already next to each other then he looked at Shino and said " Sorry." Naruto saw Shino shake his head and heard " No you're right and I'm on a team with Choji so I'll be fine." Naruto nodded and then said " Ok." Naruto then saw Choji and Shino move to where Ino is so he looked at his team and said " At least we three are on a team." Naruto saw his friends nod and they just chatted knowing each other. The chat was only for a few minutes when Kurenai walked in. Naruto saw three senseis then heard Kurenai say " Team seven, eight and ten come on." Naruto just got up and walked out with everyone that was called and they all headed to a training field.
* Half an Hour Later *
Naruto walked onto a training field with the three teams. Naruto stopped at the three Jonin stops then he looked at Kakashi hearing " As a Chunin and Jonin if your genin team impressed the Hokage will put the team on a mission but you still won't work just with the team. So we three decided to train once a week and do D-rank missions." Naruto nodded as the others did then he looked at Asuma seeing him walk up then heard " Team seven is an Assault squad, Team eight is an assassination and interrogation squad. Team ten is a tracking and capturing squad." Naruto saw Kurenai then walked up and heard " On the other hand let's get to work." Naruto nodded then walked up to Kurenai as the teams went to their Jonin. Naruto stopped in front of Kurenai as the team then heard " Now I have a reason that I requested you as my team." Naruto saw Kurenai look at Shikamaru hearing " You are someone I can turn into anything and combine with your intelligence you'll be great. Also do training with Naruto you have some stealth." Naruto saw Kurenai look at Hinata then heard " You are great in taijutsu and know ninjutsu. You also have stealth experience helping with Naruto's training so we will improve that." Naruto then saw Kurenai look at him then heard " Naruto you have great stealth, you work with seals, you're strong with taijutsu and know a few ninjutsu but could know more." Naruto nodded and then heard " Ok."
* Hours Later *
Naruto groaned as he stood up, then he looked at Kakashi and just sighed, grabbing his bow. After doing some basic training Kurenai took Sasuke, Kiba and Choji to improve chakra control. Kakashi took Naruto, Shino and Hinata to improve taijutsu with Ino, Sakura and Shikamaru while Asuma increased chakra capacity. Naruto saw Kakashi nod then heard " You would do good on an assault team." Naruto chuckled then said " Nice try Kurenai pulled me aside and told me that you had this whole thing happen so you can try and convince me to be on your team but she's right I'm better with her's and I would refuse to use the Kyuubi's chakra." Naruto saw Kakashi chuckle then head " She said she would give me a chance." Naruto chuckled and said " She was until I realized you were more focused on me for some reason so I asked." Naruto saw Kakashi nod so Naruto quickly drew an arrow then fired to see Kakashi dodge so he smirked when he turned to smoke. Naruto dropped his transformation of an arrow and put a kunai on Kakashi's neck and said " Break." Naruto walked over to a tree and sat against it when he leaned his head on a kunai hitting the tree." Naruto looked for who threw it and his eyes landed on Kiba so he groaned and looked up.
Naruto lowered his head and crossed his legs and pulled out a scroll. Naruto opened the scroll to a storage seal so he put chakra into the seal and saw a mortar and pestle with some ingredients and some glass bottles with liquids in them. Naruto then put some liquids in the mortar when he saw a small shadow so he looked up at Hinata hearing " What are you working on?" Naruto just smiled and said " Nothing, just looking at the gorgeous face of yours." Naruto instantly blushed and said with a sutter " Sorry." Naruto just saw Hinata smile with a small blush then saw her sit down and heard " What will this poison do." Naruto chuckled then said " just a basic poison. Anko said she'll teach me a few really good poisons but I need to make everyone poison in the four poison books I have perfectly and I'm working on the fourth book, this being the first poisons."
Naruto saw Hinata nod then heard " Wait didn't she give you the books two months ago?" Naruto nodded and said " I had a Shadow Clone working on the other book and after a month we both finished it but Anko found out and said it was cheating so now I have to do it with just me." Naruto saw Hinata nod and heard " I'm not surprised she can't deal with you so multiples are just impossible." Naruto bumped into Hinata and said " And I barely can stand you, so?" Naruto smiled as did Hinata then he looked back at his work and continued.
* Couple Days Later *
Naruto stood in front of Hinata with a small smile, his bow in hand, Hinata having her bo staff in hand. Naruto smirked as did his friend then when he saw Hinata twirl whipping her staff across the air. Naruto ducking under a line if air rushed at him then he rolled and grabbed two arrows. Naruto fired them just to see Hinata hit them away with her staff. Naruto smirked as he went in for a punch just to stop and dodge a strike. Naruto grabbed Hinata's wrist and flipped her just for Hinata to land and hit Naruto against the ribs with his bo staff. Naruto got the wind knocked out of him and then next thing Naruto knew he hit a tree. Naruto yelled as he made contact with a tree and as he fell to the ground he grabbed his side. Naruto started breathing heavily when he heard " What happened?" Naruto looked up at Kurenai then at Hinata seeing her completely shook so he said " Hinata." Naruto saw Hinata run towards him faster than he even thought she could move.
Naruto felt Hinata put her arms around him and put him against a tree. Naruto saw Hinata look at him and heard " I'm sorry, sorry really sorry." Naruto shook his head and said " Hinata we were experimenting but I think we found something about the seal by accident." Naruto saw Hinata just shaking her head and heard " No stop thinking like this." Naruto chuckled and just looked at Kurenai and said " I'm fine." Naruto saw Kurenai nod, then walk off to train with Shikamaru. Naruto looked at Hinata and just smiled then put his hand on her cheek and said " You're Cute when you're worried." Naruto just smiled, not embarrassed to say that stuff anymore as he and Hinata do it every once and a while." Naruto saw Hinata smile and heard with a chuckle " I know." Naruto chuckled himself then said moving his hand away " Can I look at the seal." Naruto saw Hinata nod then hand the staff to him.
Naruto saw Hinata sitting so he said " Go train." Naruto saw Hinata shake her head then heard " I want you to explain it to me." Naruto chuckled and said " Fine." Naruto then leaned back when he felt Hinata grab his arm so he smiled and started to explain.
* Next Day *
Naruto was examining Hinata's staff looking at the seals when he heard " What are you looking at?" Naruto looked up at Choji then back at the staff and said " A project I've been working on for Hinata." Naruto saw Choji nod so he said " People can buy bo staff that can conduct chakra but they break easier than a solid wooden staff. I created seals that help but when we spared I found out that the seal will store a small amount of chakra and over time after it collects it releases but I have no idea how it does any of those things so I'm looking at it." Naruto saw Choji nod so he said " I just realized why are you here?" Naruto saw Choji chuckle then heard " Lunch break. Naruto chuckled and then said " Ok." Naruto then looked at Hinata then back at the staff and said " Nice for the chat but I need to work." Naruto saw Choji nod so he smiled and said " Thanks."
