Naruto was walking with his team back to Konoha then just dropping off the client an hour ago. Naruto looked at Hinata and smiled when he felt his face heat up and he thought " Hinata's really cute." Naruto shook his head, getting the thoughts out of his head or at least tried. Naruto continued walking when he stopped at seeing Kurenai stop and after a couple of seconds he saw Kurenai put her arm out and an eagle landed on it. Naruto saw Kurenai take a paper off the leg then the eagle flew off and after a few seconds heard " The Hokage has given us a mission to go back up to team seven as their C-rank mission turned to an A-rank." Naruto sighed but nodded and then said " Ok." Naruto saw Kurenai nod and heard " Follow me." Naruto just nodded, then jumped onto a tree and followed Kurenai.
* Hours Later *
Naruto was running through a forest with his team when he snapped his head feeling chakra. Naruto looked at Kurenai quickly and said " Huge chakra spike this way." Naruto saw Kurenai nod so he turned and went to the chakra. Naruto was getting close and after a few seconds said " Five people, two at Jonin at least and three genin. Naruto looked at Kurenai seeing her nod then looked at Shikamaru hearing " Naruto attack and be a distraction so we can take the client. Hianta joins him and Kurenai takes the Client with me just in case of a partner." Naruto nodded and said " We're close." Naruto created a clone in front of him and as he ran getting closer to the clone he continued until he felt his foot go into his clone's laced hands. Naruto felt himself go up so he grabbed his bow and fired two arrows at a man with bandages wrapping around his nose down to the end of his neck with a huge butcher blade on the back with just pants on.
Naruto saw the arrows hit the man in the shoulder which made him stubble back but keep his hand in the jutsu that is holding Kakashi. Naruto landed rolling then he fired two more arrows. Naruto quickly put his bow on his back seeing Kurenai and Shikamaru take the client away with Kakashi's team. Naruto looked back at the man hearing " You brat." Naruto shrugged then did hand signs fast impressing the man then said " Wind Style Great Breakthrough." Naruto let out a huge gust of wind from his mouth making the man fly back releasing the jutsu that held Kakashi. Naruto saw Kakashi land on the water coughing so he said " Hinata take Kakashi to the other's I'll keep back this man." Naruto saw Hinata help Kakashi but he focused on the man hearing " I'm the demon of the mist kid you think you can survive me." Naruto chuckled as he channeled Kyuubi's chakra and said " Well you might be a demon but I'm truly a demon."
Naruto quickly did hand signs then said " Fire Style Fireball jutsu." Naruto saw a huge fireball go at the man so he charged after it. Naruto used his bow to hit the steam away, surprising the man and after punching him in the face he jumped back and fired two more arrows. Naruto did a backflip over the man's huge sword and after landing twirled just to be kicked and fly back. Naruto groaned as he got up just to dodge the huge sword. Naruto tried to attack just to dodge attack after attack over and over again.
Naruto jumped over the sword and fired an arrow hitting the guy again and as he landed he put his bow on his back just to fly back again. Naruto saw the man then charge and slice at him but he managed to dodge. Naruto saw his bow, its string slices and quiver fall to the ground. Naruto felt a foot connect to his ribs and he felt a few broke. Naruto yelled as he fell to the ground when he saw the sword land in front of his face and felt the foot connect to his stomach and heard " I have to admit brat you impressed me but time to die." Naruto saw the sword come up so he rolled just to yell as he felt all of his left ribs shatter so he turned his head to see about a fourth of the blade's width in his ribs. Naruto looked at Zabuza channeling Kyuubi's chakra to see him a little shook then heard " You lucky brat." Naruto yelled as the blade was pulled out then he saw Zabuza walk away just to stop and heard " One week then I'll attack." Naruto just tried to stand up, blood pouring out of him just to hear " Heal." Naruto's eyes closed as he hit the ground and the last thing he heard was " Naruto."
Naruto slowly raised his head to find himself in a random room. Naruto went for his bow to find it. Naruto looked around, seeing that he was in his old apartment bedroom. Naruto walked to the door and opened it and walked in. Naruto looked around, seeing his mindscape but no Kyuubi. Naruto looked around to see himself and Hinata just messing around tickling each other. Naruto smiled and just watched as it was his favorite moment. Naruto saw more stuff like that just appearing seeing his friends but always Hinata beside when Shikamaru saved his life. Naruto stepped closer as he watched himself mess around. Naruto stepped to where he saw himself and just looked at Hinata. Naruto put a cheek on Hinata's cheek smiling, enjoying her beauty but also the urge to kiss her. Naruto saw Hinata disappear so he sighed and looked around and yelled " God dammit, wake up."
Hinata was running onto the battlefield with Kurenai and Shikamaru. Hinata stopped and looked around to see Naruto in a pool of blood so she just ran in shock. Hinata went to her knees yelling Naruto's name and after a few seconds saw Kurenai appear and heard " Anko is going to kill you." Hinata just chuckled, then saw Kurenai pull bandages and heard " He needs time but Kyuubi's chakra is doing the work." Hinata saw Kurenai pull out bandages so she took a pair and grabbed it then started wrapping the ribs around. Hinata had tears down her face and after a couple of minutes she saw Kurenai pick up Naruto and heard " I'll take him to Tazuna's house." Hinata nodded then followed Kurenai fast.
* Couple Hours Later *
Hinata was sitting next to Naruto's bed just looking at him with her hand on his. Hinata just squeezed her hand and laid her head on his arm when she heard the door open. Hinata moved her head to see Shikamaru so she smiled sadly and looked back at Naruto. Hinata just looked when she heard " He's doing any better." Hinata saw Shikamaru nod then heard " Ok." Hinata saw Shikamaru walk and sit down next to Naruto then heard " Are you ok?" Hinata nodded and said " Yea." Hinata saw Shikamaru smile so she looked back at Naruto and said " The weird thing is Naruto isn't healing as fast." Hinata saw Shikamaru nod then heard " That might be due to him not channeling the Kyuubi's chakra. He's taught himself to use the least amount possible even when asleep." Hinata nodded and smiled and just looked back at Naruto feeling a movement from his hand so she smiled.
Kurenai was sitting at Tuzuna's table just thinking. Kurenai couldn't help but think about what would happen to everyone, mainly Naruto's friends, if he died. " Kurenai." Kurenai looked up at Kakashi, her thoughts going away and after a few seconds hearing " How is he?" Kurenai sighed and said, " Not good." Kurenai saw Kakashi nod so she said " I thought his healing would have kicked in by now. I've seen cuts go to scapes instantly. This shouldn't be taking that long before he awakens." Kurenai saw Kakashi shocked and heard " You being serious?" Kurenai nodded in confusion to hear " when I was fighting Zabuza I was able to cut him and it instantly went to a scape." Kurenai just nodded and then said " Zabuza might have just channeled chakra." Kurenai saw Kakashi nod then heard " Still it's weird Zabuza was weirdly strong and faster." Kurenai nodded and then said " Still I think chakra."
Kurenai saw Kakashi nod then heard " Zabuza is walking on water. I think we should get teams working on tree walking." Kurenai nodded and said " My team already knows both Kakashi." Kurenai saw Kakashi nod slightly and shake so she said " Anko and I taught them." Kurenai saw Kakashi nod again so she said " I'm going to go check on Naruto." Kurenai got up and saw Kakashi nod and then heard " Ok." Kurenai walked up and went up stairs going to the room where Naruto is in to see Shikamaru walking out. Kurenai walked to the door to hear " Don't." Kurenai looked at Shikamaru and heard " Hinata tried her best to hide it but she is extremely scared and just needs to be alone." Kurenai just nodded and then said " How are you?" Kurenai saw Shikamaru shake his head and heard " Not good scared myself but will be fine on the other hand if Naruto does die Kurenai you are going to have to stop her from killing whoever that man was." Kurenai nodded, then saw Shikamaru turn and heard " I'm going to bed." Kurenai just nodded then went to bed herself hoping tomorrow.
* Later That Night *
Naruto slowly opened his eyes feeling extreme pain in his left ribs and a wait on his arm. Naruto slowly moved his head to the right seeing Hinata on her knees laying on his arm. Naruto smiled and moved his right arm wanting to move the hair out of Hinata's eyes but instead he groaned moving his whole body. Naruto heard some noise so he looked back at Hinata seeing her eyes open and raised her head then looked at him. Naruto smiled as he looked at Hinata then after a few seconds saw her eyes widened and heard " You're awake." Naruto chuckled when he heard " I'll go get the others." Naruto saw Hinata stand up and start to move but he grabbed her arm which made Hinata pull him and him groan. Naruto saw Hinata look at him so he said " Don't it's like three in the morning and dark outside."
Naruto saw Hinata nod and walk so he pushed himself back hitting the wall and after groaning again he patted on the bed and said " Sit." Naruto saw Hinata sitting so he smiled then said " Are you ok?" Naruto saw Hinata shake her head and heard " I thought you died." Naruto nodded and said " I'm alive and fine." Naruto saw Hinata nod so he smiled and said " I'm guessing Shikamaru held you back from attacking who I fought." Naruto saw Hinata shake her head then heard " I had to stop him from doing it." Naruto chuckled and said, " That's weird." Naruto coughed which made Hinata put her hand on his chest. Naruto smiled then put his hand on her cheek and said " Hinata I can read you like an open book. What's wrong?"
Naruto saw tears fall from Hinata's cheeks and heard " I'm scared right now that you are going to die tomorrow or this is a dream." Naruto just smiled then said " Hug me." Naruto saw Hinata shaking so he repeated then said " Just do it." Naruto saw Hinata nod, then he felt a hug so he said " Do I feel real?" Naruto saw Hinata pull away and heard " This could still be a dream." Naruto just smiled then said putting his hand back on her cheek " If it's a dream it's my dream because no one should look this fucking pretty." Naruto saw Hinata blushing and heard " Not funny." Naruto chuckled and said, " How can I prove it to you?" Naruto saw Hinata look around at him and heard " I don't know?"
Naruto just chuckled and said " I might." Naruto saw Hinata nod so he said " Lay down." Naruto saw Hinata blush but did it so he moved closer and said " Can I put my arm around you." Naruto didn't get a reaction for a couple of seconds then heard " Yea." Naruto put his arm around her waist and said " Is this comfortable?" Naruto saw nothing for a good minute when he saw Hinata turn and push him on his back. Naruto felt Hinata put her head on his chest and heard " Now I am." Naruto just smiled as he saw Hinata look at him so he pushed the hair away from her eyes and said " If you are lying to me just tell me I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
Naruto saw Hianta shake her head then he felt more of her weight onto him and his leg touched hers and heard " If you make that offer again I'll punch you." Naruto chuckled, put his arm around Hinata and scouted himself down and rested his head on top of hers and heard " Now I'm comfortable." Naruto heard a chuckle so he closed his eyes with a smile and quickly fell asleep."
* Tomorrow Morning *
Naruto groaned as he felt some movement then heard " What are you doing here?" Naruto opened his eyes to see Shikamaru and after a couple of seconds his eyes widened and said " Dude." Naruto saw Shikamaru chuckle and then heard " So what are you guys together?" Naruto shook his head and said " She was scared thinking it wasn't real so we slept in the same bed so she could always feel me." Naruto saw Shikamaru hum and nod so he said " Shut up and if you tell anyone I'll fucking make you wish you died after." Naruto saw Shikamaru nod with smirk so he said " You say a thing I'll fucking release the Kyuubi on your fucking ass?" Naruto saw Shikamaru frown then heard " I'll give you two a couple of minutes but Kurenai will be happy with you being awake." Naruto nodded then saw Shikamaru leave so he looked at Hinata and said " It's are secret." Naruto saw Hianta nod then sit and saw her fist clench so he said " What?" Naruto saw Hinata look at him and heard " I still can't believe your awake and…" Naruto just nodded and said " Ok."
