* Two Days Later *
Naruto sighed as he put his last arrow in his quiver. He just finished double checking his supplies when he heard " You ok?" Naruto nodded and said " I'm fine." Naruto stood up and walked over to Kurenai just to stop hearing " What is with you?" Naruto sighed then said " Team seven that's all." Naruto saw Kurenai nod and then heard " Ok." Naruto just smiled then walked past his sensei and down stairs. Naruto smiled at Hinata and Shikamaru as he saw them, then he grabbed an apple off the table and said " I'm going to head to the bridge right now just in case." Naruto saw Kurenai nod and heard " Take Hinata just in case." Naruto nodded, then walked out with Hinata heading to the bridge.
* Five Minutes Later *
Naruto sighed as he saw the bridge in the distance when he saw a worker on the ground. Naruto grabbed his bow and looked at Hinata who had her weapon in hand. Naruto nodded as he ran to the worker and after getting to the body crouched seeing no wounds so he checked the pulse feeling something so he said " He's alive." Naruto saw Hinata nod so he stood up as mist formed around him. Naruto knocked an arrow when he heard " Well, well, well." Naruto turned and fired an arrow, hearing nothing, so he knocked another just to hear " You think you can hit me brat." Naruto chuckled when he heard a noise just to the side so he aimed at it but turned the other way, firing. Naruto didn't hear anything so he knocked another arrow when heard " Ice Style Thousand Needles." Naruto turned towards Hinata as she used her staff by whipping it across the air and then a huge gust of wind knocked back most likely a thousand needles made of ice.
Naruto put his bow on his back channeling the Kyuubi's chakra then did hand signs and after saying " Wind Style Great Breakthrough." Naruto let out a huge gust of wind from his mouth just to dodge a strike from Zabuza. Naruto saw the mist disappear so he did more hand signs and said " Demon Style Blood River Stream." Naruto shot a stream of water mixed with blood at Zabuza then as the demon stumbled back Naruto charged. Naruto punched Zabuza in the gut then he kicked his knee. Naruto twirled going behind Zabuza as he grabbed his bow then he punched him in the ribs then he drew an arrow just to do a backflip over a big ice spike. Naruto turned towards Haku seeing Hinata stand up nearby. Naruto turned at Zabuza then back at Haku and charged. Naruto ducked under a kick then punched him in the gut just to duck under Hinata's staff. Naruto looked at Hinata with a small smile to hear " Why did you abandon Zabuza." Naruto just pointed as Kakashi and Kurenai charged Zabuza. Naruto saw Hinata nod so he turned back towards Haku and charged.
Naruto ducked under a kick then punched Haku in the ribs and as he got in front of Haku he saw Hinata hit his back with her staff. Naruto kicked Haku just to jump back from an ice spike that came up. Naruto looked at Haku then heard " Ice Style Demonic Ice Mirrors." Naruto saw himself and Hinata be surrounded by ice mirrors. Naruto saw every mirror have Haku in it then he grunted as Needles entered him. Naruto looked like dodging needles as did Hinata. Naruto sighed, dodging another set of needles, then he put his fingers into a cross sign and said " Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu." Naruto saw twenty of him form and try to run but all dispelled. Naruto sighed when groaned feeling needles entered him. Naruto looked around when he stumbled back more needles entered him. Naruto saw drops of water go up in the air and move like if someone or something hit it. Naruto looked around when he saw needles thrown so I dodged splashing the water seeing it move again.
Kakashi jumped back from Zabuza's sword avoiding an attack when he heard " Shit this is harder than I thought." Kakashi chuckled but looked at Zabuza and quickly did hand signs then said " Wind Style Wind Stream." Kakashi let out a small powerful stream of wind from his mouth going towards Zabuza but he dodged." Kakashi blocked an attack from Zabuza then kicked him in the gut and jumpeding twirling and kicking him in the face. Kakashi pulled out a kunai and threw it at Zabuza as he jumped back for the demon to block it. Kakashi looked around then at Kurenai seeing her do hand signs then heard " Tree binding." Kakashi looked at Zabuza knowing he saw Kurenai disappear in flowers and him binded to a tree. For Kakashi he just saw Kurenai behind Zabuza kunai to neck. Kakashi did some hand signs then said "Chidori."
Naruto dodged another set of needles when he heard noise like chirping birds so he looked at Kakashi seeing a ball of lightning in his hands and Kurenai behind Zabuza kunai to neck. Naruto saw a blur go towards Zabuza and he knew it was Haku. Naruto just stood there when he saw complete and utter worry in Zabuza's eyes and so he ran. Naruto saw Haku stop putting his arms out in front of Naruto. Naruto knew he wasn't going to make him so he put his hand into a hand sign and channeled all the chakra he could then released it. Naruto saw Zabuza move so he knew the genjutsu was dispelled and as he got closer he saw Zabuza push Haku out of the way, taking Chidori straight in the lung." Naruto stopped at seeing that but just walked over to the demon. Naruto crouched as Zabuza laid on the ground and said " I'm sorry." Naruto saw Zabuza shake his head and heard " You were just doing your job the same as Kakashi." Naruto nodded then he saw Zabuza grab his blade then heard " Haku he's everything to me if you want to own me as a demon help her get a life a good life." I just nodded just to hear " My body needs to be destroyed." Naruto looked at Zabuza then at Haku and then said " She would want to visit you."
Naruto saw Zabuza nod and heard " She'll be fine." Naruto nodded a tear falling from his cheek and said " I have a family after so long but you were going to be someone like me." Naruto heard Zabuza chuckle then heard " Kid there is no one like you." Naruto chuckled and nodded then after hearing Zabuza's last breath he stood. Naruto looked at Kakashi then at Kurenai and then at Haku and said " Did you know the truth about who Zabuza really is?" Naruto just saw Haku nod as she sat there then he saw tears down his cheeks and heard " No he immortal can't be dead." Naruto chuckled and said, " I can explain it later." Naruto saw Haku stand up then look at Kakashi with a glare and hear " You killed him. I'll have your head." Naruto saw Haku move blocking the ice sword and said " He did it for your life." Naruto saw Haku shake his head and heard " I'll goddamn go through you." Naruto sighed but then looked at Zabuza and said " He treated you like a human." Naruto looked at Haku and said " You were treated like nothing, your life scared then he took you in and treated you human to an extent." Naruto saw Haku just nod and try going for another strike but he blocked and said " Haku you were going to die, he cared for you and knew not having immortality." Naruto saw Haku go for another strike so he blocked and said " I'm going to keep my promise and give you a life."
Naruto stubbled back from a kick then he jumped dodging some needles to hear " Why are you protecting him." Naruto chuckled, hitting three needles with his bow and said, " Because he didn't kill Zabuza." Naruto saw Haku confused so he said " Zabuza has lived for hundreds of years and he gave up his immortality for you. He started to age and Zabuza could have survived the jutsu but just died thirty minutes later." Naruto looked at Zabuza seeing the rest of his flash decay away and his bones appear." Naruto looked at Haku seeing him fall to his knees so he walked over to him and crouched then said " Why don't you come back to Konoha. You're not a missing nin so won't cause a problem. I can make sure the Hokage set's you up with a home." Naruto heard a chuckle from Haku then heard " What's the point?" Naruto turned to see just Kakashi and saw him nod then disappear so he looked at Haku just to hear " I'm alone." Naruto shook his head and said " I'll be your friend." Naruto saw Haku look up and said " I am the holder of the Nine Tail Demon Fox and I have friends that I consider family and trust me if I say your my friend they will try and be your friend." Naruto saw Haku nod and heard " Ok I'll go." Naruot nodded, then said " Good." Naruto then stood up and walked over to Zabuza, grabbed his headband and sword then sealed it away and said " It's all yours." Naruto gave the scroll with the items to Haku then helped him up and walked over to Tuzna house.
Naruto looked at Haku with a smile then looked forward to seeing the Jonin senseis so he said " Haku I will not let you die or be abandoned but that means you might have to let me do something." Naruto saw Haku nod so he said " I know a seal that can make you not use your chakra unless it's removed and I might have to apply it." Naruto saw Haku nod but look at the scroll so he looked forward to getting closer. Naruto smiled at his friends when he heard " I'll run if I were you." Naruto looked at Kiba and said " If you hurt my friend I'll rip your arm off Kiba." Naruto looked at Kakashi and said " Kakashi sensei, Kurenai sensei can we talk alone with Haku." Naruto saw the Jonin nod so they walked off after leaving some clones behind. Naruto looked at Haku then at Kakashi hearing " What I heard during that fight I won't put on the report but will tell the Hokage about." Naruto nodded, then looked at Kurenai and said " I'll give you the rundown but this is a secret you can't tell anyone even if you're ordered to." Naruto saw Kurenai nod so he said " Basically there used to be hundreds of demons but the nine Biju were the strongest. Zabuza was a demon and used a jutsu that gives one's life to save another but demon's are immortal. Due to the jutsu he stopped being immortal and time started catching up."
Naruto saw Kurenai nod so he said " Haku was someone he cared about and asked me to do something about him. I am going to take him back to Konoha. Haku isn't a missing ninja so nothing will be caused." Naruto saw Kurenai nod and heard " Ok I trust you Naruto but here I don't." Naruto chuckled and said " He has agreed to have a chakra suppressed seal on him." Naruto saw Kurenai blushing in embarrassment so he smiled and said " I know I thought the same thing." Naruto then looked at Haku and said " If you want I can place it here and now." Naruto saw Haku nod then heard " I can keep the scroll right?" Naruto nodded, then said " Kurenai, Kakashi left us." Naruto saw the two Jonin nod then leave so he looked at Haku seeing him take off his shirt so he sighed pulling out a scroll.
* An Hour Later *
Hinata was standing outside with Shikamaru when she heard " It's weird that Naruto would stick up for this kid." Hinata chuckled and said " Naruto would explain anything." Hinata then saw Naruto walking with the person from earlier. Hinata didn't get a good look from the person earlier but know did and she could tell the person was pretty. She did see the person's face and it was hard to tell if they were male or female but it was still a pretty face. Hinata saw Naruto smile at her then after a little while she saw Naruto and the person. Hinata smiled at Naruto then looked at the person and said " I just got told what is going on but I never got your name." Hinata saw the person nod and then heard " Haku." Hinata nodded but was annoyed as the name didn't help when she heard " Yea he's my new friend." Hinata smiled at Naruto, thankful for helping, then said " Sorry about this but I'm confused why you're returning to Konoha." Hinata felt a hand on her shoulder so she looked to the right where Naruto moved and then heard in a volume she and Naruto could only hear " Zabuza cares for him and Zabuza is a demon. I'll tell you more once we return." Hinata just nodded, then looked at Haku and said " Well Haku, why don't you come in."
