Chapter 2
Harry, Hermione, Ms. Darling, and Tinker Bell had woken up Moira Darling and told her about the magical journey they needed to go on in order to save Ron Weasley. Moira had only heard stories about Neverland from her grandmother, Wendy Angela Darling. She had always thought her grandmother told her those stories at night to help her get to sleep, though she did always believe, in her heart, that Neverland was in fact a real place. After gathering a few more things, the gang climbed to the top of the dormitory's tower, where Ms. Darling stood and said her goodbyes. Finally, Tinker Bell began sprinkling fairy dust on Harry, Hermione, and Moira.
"Second star to the right, and straight on till morning's light." Tinker Bell rhymed a magical spell, continuing to sprinkle the fairy dust over the children.
Suddenly, the three of them could feel themselves becoming weightless, and soon were floating upwards towards the moonlight.
"Say hello to Peter for me!" Ms. Darling hollered, waving goodbye to the children as they drifted off.
The floating feeling rapidly became flight. And within seconds they were already soaring past the moon. The children were amazed that they had the capacity to breathe in outer space. They were also in awe of the vast cosmos as they neared the smokey cluster of stars that formed the Milky Way Galaxy. Then, just before morning's light, they entered Neverland.
However, the entry didn't go quite as well as Tinker Bell had planned. Normally, there would have been a bright sun in the morning sky, allowing her a safe passage towards the ground, but this morning, there was no sunlight. Instead, they entered into a dusky twilight, filled with dark skies and even darker clouds, causing their landing to be a bit rough. Luckily, they landed in the Spongy Field of Giant Mushrooms, which were unfortunately starting to wither due to the lack of sunshine.
"I always imagined Neverland to be a much brighter place than this." Harry mused. "This looks more like the Forbidden Forest. Are you sure we are in the right place?"
"I'm absolutely sure." Tinker Bell replied, looking just as surprised as the others. "There is something wrong! Neverland has never looked like this before. It must be that evil wizard!"
"What part of Neverland is this?" Hermione asked.
"Let me see… We landed in the Spongy Field of Giant Mushrooms… So… That must mean we are about a mile away from the Lost Boys hideout."
"Where does that road lead?" Moira asked, pointing in the opposite direction.
"That leads to the Swashbuckler's Bay. Only pirates hang out there." Tinker Bell replied.
Harry paused for a moment. "That is where Ron is being held captive! That's where we need to go!"
"If you'd like to take on a thousand pirates, go right ahead." Tinker Bell retorted. "The worst thing that could happen is you get caught, and they either make you walk the plank, or they put you in the Boo Box."
"The Boo…Box?" Harry asked.
"Yeah… you know… They put you in a box and then drop scorpions down inside. I've heard some people have survived, but it doesn't look pretty afterwards, and apparently you live in lots of pain for the rest of your life, but other than that, you should be fine." She sarcastically added.
"If Ron is that way, then that is where I have to go." Harry insisted. "What other choice do I have?"
"We need to find the Lost Boys and then launch an attack against Captain Hook's army. It would be suicide to go in there without an army of our own. Especially if they have an evil wizard helping them out now!" Tinker Bell exclaimed.
"She has a point, Harry." Hermione proclaimed.
"But, what if these Lost Boys don't want to help us?" Harry retorted.
Tinker Bell flew right up to Harry's face. "They'll help! If Peter Pan is in trouble, THEY WILL HELP!"
Suddenly, Tinker Bell began feeling dizzy. She then fluttered downward towards the ground. Harry dove and caught her just in time.
"What's wrong, Tinker Bell?"
"It's… it's… my magic… It's gone." She replied just before she passed out.
"Is she dead?" Hermione fretted, covering her mouth with her hand.
"I don't know. She is kinda small. It is hard to tell." Harry replied, getting his eyes as close to her as he could. "Voldemort must be feeding off of Neverland's magic."
"We better find the Lost Boys! They'll know what to do!" Moira declared. "My grandmother always bragged highly of them."
Harry decided to follow along the path that Tinker Bell claimed would lead to the Lost Boys hideout. After walking for more than a mile, the group still never ran into any of the Lost Boys. However, they did run into someone else.
"ARG! What do we have here, mateys?" A pirate spoke up. "It appears that we have a few scoundrels wandering off from the rest of their gang of Lost Turds!"
When looking around, Harry, Hermione, and Moira found themselves surrounded by four menacing pirates.
"What should we do, Harry?" Hermione asked, keeping her eyes on the scurvy pirates.
"You two just stay behind me." Harry replied, ready to fight the four adult men if need be.
"Hey! Did that little girl just call you Harry?" One of the pirates asked. "Our Captain is looking for you!" He declared, taking a step towards Harry.
Harry quickly pulled out his wand and pointed it at the pirate. "Don't come another step closer!" He warned.
"You think you can hurt me with that little stick? Bwahaha!" He laughed.
Then, the pirate pulled a machete out from behind his back. "Now, this will hurt cha!" He declared, taking another step towards Harry.
Harry shook his wand, pointing it like a gun. "Stupefy!" He shouted out the stunning spell, hoping to stop the pirate in his tracks… but nothing happened. "Stupefy, I said!" He yelled again, this time his wand made a sputtering noise like a car about to break down.
"Ha ha ha! The boy thought he was going to shoot an imaginary bolt of lightning at me from out of that stick!" He howled with laughter, causing the other pirates to start laughing along with him. "I'm going to enjoy bringing you back to the Jolly Roger and beating you with that stick before our Captain makes you walk the plank!"
"What is wrong with your wand?" Hermione nervously asked.
"I don't know. It's just not working. It could have something to do with whatever caused Tinker Bell to faint. It's like the magic of Neverland is being sucked dry." Harry replied, still guarding the girls.
"It looks like you are out of luck, LITTLE BOY!" The pirate exclaimed. "LET'S GET 'EM!" He demanded, converging on the young teenagers.
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, several rocks began flying past the teens, hitting the pirates in their heads, stunning them for a second.
When Harry turned to look, he saw six boys, armed with slingshots, and using them to launch the rocks. Harry quickly told the girls to duck down, allowing the boys a clearer target.
The pirates tried regathering themselves, but as soon as they did-
BAM! THUD! WHACK! WHAM! More rocks were already pelting them, causing the pirates to finally retreat.
"BANG-A-RANG!" The boys celebrated, jumping up and down, watching the pirates scurry off like cockroaches.
After the pirates were out of sight, the boys approached Harry and the girls.
"You guys don't look like you belong here." The tallest boy, dressed in all blue pajamas, proclaimed. "And you don't look like pirates, so that means you must be intruders. We don't take kindly to intruders."
"We are here because Captain Hook kidnapped one of my best friends named Ron Weasley." Harry explained. "Are you the Lost Boys?" he asked.
"Do we look lost to you, intruder?" Another boy, heavier set, dressed in all red pajamas, blurted.
"I think we should hoist them up in a hot air balloon and send them back to where they came from." Another teased.
Two twin boys, shorter than the others, dressed in all purple pajamas, began tossing dried beans at Harry and the girls. "Are ya hungry?" They laughed in unison.
"I know of a hungry crocodile that would love it if we fed him these three!" The tallest boy threatened.
Suddenly, everyone was startled when a tiny, yet loud voice yelled out. "Tootles! Nib!. Slightly! Curly! And The Twins! Stop scaring these three!" Tinker Bell demanded, popping her head up from out of Harry's shirt pocket.
"Tink?" Tootles piped up. "What happened to you? You're not glowing like you usually do."
"I've lost my magic." Tinker Bell sighed. "Have you found out anything about Peter?"
"No. After the evil wizard took him, everything turned dark. We were forced to find a different hiding place because the wizard burned down our treehouses. Plus, several pirates keep coming around looking for something."
"They're looking for me." Harry announced. "They came looking for me back at Hogwarts, but they accidentally took our friend Ron instead."
"Hogwarts?" The Lost Boys laughed. "Why would someone name a place Hogwarts?"
"That's exactly what I said!" Tinker Bell exclaimed.
"It's a school of magic and wizardry, and a very fine place, I must say!" Harry declared.
Tootles walked up to Harry. "You said you are the reason for why Pan was taken from us? Perhaps we should deliver you to Hook ourselves."
"Hook doesn't have Peter." Tinker Bell acknowledged. "The wizard has Peter. These three are here to help us get him back… So back off!" she demanded.
"I think Tink has a thing for the boy with oddly shaped glasses." Curly teased.
Tinker Bell blushed. "You are lucky I can't use my magic right now, or else I would turn you into a toad!"
Curly quickly began walking backwards, knowing Tinker Bell was serious.
"Wait a second!" Tootles exclaimed, walking closer to Moira. "Don't I know you from somewhere?"
"Wendy?" The twins both asked at the same time. "Did you go to a place that you could get even younger?"
"This isn't Wendy. Her name is Moira Darling. She is the granddaughter of Wendy.
"Hubba, Hubba!" Tootles flirted, finding himself attracted to her.
"Stand back!" Curly demanded. "I saw her first!"
"Would you two STOP!" Tinker Bell bellowed, pointing her finger at them. "We need to help them find their friend Ron and then figure out where the wizard has taken Peter!"
"And how exactly do you expect us to do that?" Tootles asked, not looking very confident.
"We'll wait until the pirates go to sleep, and then we will sneak in quietly, find Ron, and then sneak out… quietly." Tinker Bell explained, not looking very confident herself.
"And what happens if they wake up?"
"I guess we'll have to improvise." Tinker Bell shrugged.
"I wish Professor Dumbledore was with us. He would surely know what to do!" Harry proclaimed.
"Well, Dumbo-Dork ain't here! And since You are the reason why Pan was taken, I suggest you start thinking of alternative plans before I add another scar to your big forehead!" Tootles demanded, meanly staring at Harry.
"His name is Dumbledore, not Dumbo-Dork!" Hermione piped up. "And don't you ever speak of harming my friend Harry ever again, or else I will do something much worse to you than your little fairy friend could ever do to you!" she warned, shaking her fist in the air.
"All right! All right!" Tootles retorted, taking a couple steps backwards, holding his hands in the air to show he was giving up.
"Then, it's settled! We will sneak aboard The Jolly Roger tonight and rescue Ron Weasley!" Tinker Bell declared.
