Cas smiled brightly as she went higher and higher on the swing, "Higher, Mommy!"

Hannah laughed and pushed her on the swing again.

"Having fun?"

Cas smiled as she saw a man coming into the yard of Casita, "Papi!"

Hannah grabbed the rope allowing her to get out of the swing and run to her father.

"Hola, mariposa," Pedro gathered his three year old in his arms before walking over to his wife, "hola amor."

They shared a quick kiss as Cas made a face, "ew no kissy."

Pedro and Hannah shared a look then started peppering their daughter with kisses.

Cas erupted into giggles, "No! Stop it!"

"Okay, okay," Hannah smiled at her as she and Pedro stopped, "Ready to go inside?"

"Ready to go?"

"Cas?"

Cas jolted from her thoughts as looked up from the picture in her hand to her friend, "Hmm?"

Mirabel held up her very overly full bag, "I'm packed and I said goodbye to my family. I had to pry Antonio and Isabela off though. You ready?"

The older girl shoved the picture in her pocket, "Yeah, Ana is waiting down stairs."

….

Cas gave one final kiss to Gabriela, Abuela Mirabel, and her kids before she placed her hand on Ana's shoulder.

Ana looked very nervous as she looked down at the drawing, "Hopefully there won't be much people out."

"Thanks again," Cas muttered as Mirabel pats her shoulder.

"It's nothing, prima," Ana replied.

Cas looked at her family one last time as she saw the worried look in their eyes, "Love you. See you soon."

Then Ana said, "And leaving now."

And then they were gone from Casita in the blink of an eye.

….

Mirabel was thoroughly amazed when she looked up at the hospital.

"Woah!"

She felt a tug on her shirt, "Hey!"

And realized it was Cas and Ana shifting her to a more secluded corner out of the way of the people giving them strange looks.

"Stop looking amazed," Ana softly told Mirabel not liking the looks.

"Hey, this is my first time leaving the Encanto," Mirabel replied, annoyed as they let her go.

Mirabel waved her arms noticing it was actually about the same temperature as back in Colombia, "Hey, disappointing."

She looked around at the stone walk waves it was so much smoother and everything is so much tall. How do they build all thoses?

"Mira!'

Mirabel snapped out of her wonder and looked at them, "Huh?"

Cas and Ana looked at her in a concern, "You got that. Ana will come back later tonight around 7 to check on us."

Mirabel nodded in understanding as Ana gave Cas a quick hug and teleported away.

Cas looked very nervous as Ana disappeared and Mirabel quickly walked around and placed her hand on Cas' shoulder, "Hey, you're okay."

Cas nodded and took a deep breath, "I'm okay."

That relaxed them a little bit. They heard giggling and looked over to see people pointing at them.

"Why are they staring?" Mirabel asked softly.

Cas looked over at the people around them and the took a guess, "Our clothes I think?"

"Our clothes?" Mirabel asked incredibly and pointing to a woman her age, "That woman has her stomach out for everyone to see!"

"Don't point!" Cas blushed.

"And that one's shirts says profanity!"

"Stop! you're a grandma!"

"I am your grandma!"

….

One shopping trip later, which Cas regretted cause Mirabel had taken over an hour to pick out a white shirt and blue skirt combo she liked while Cas had found a green button up and black pants in 15 minutes, Cas and Mirabel where in the hospital elevator going up to the help desk.

Cas couldn't help but laugh at Mirabel's death grip on the elevator, "Considering what you've done in our house this seems tame."

"Casita is a magical house, that I have a connection with," Mirabel shot back not releasing her grip on the elevator's handrail, "I don't know what this runs on."

"Electricity."

"Don't be a smart ass."

Cas chuckled as she leaned back and let her head fall onto the wall as the elevator hummed.

They sat in silence for only a moment before Cas asked, "How did you forgive her?"

"Hmm. Who?" Mirabel asked confused.

"Abuela Alma," Cas asked closing her eyes.

Mirabel stood for a long moment thinking, "It's….difficult. She had all this built up trauma and she was taking it out on everyone. Me and Tio Bruno just got it the worse. I had to understand her, she had to understand why she did it. I didn't just have to forgive her, she had to forgive herself. The whole family had to work at it. It's not prefect but we're working on it. And willingness is important. It doesn't erase the pain but it does mean we will have something to work towards. "

They stood in silence again.

"Are you thinking about forgiving Hannah?"

Cas sighed, "Why would I? What possible reason will she have for abandoning 3 kids? She left. That drove my father to dying. My 60 something grandma had to raise two kids under 7."

"I would argue the whole house raised you. I mean didn't Reyes take over tooth fairy duties?" Mirabel pointed out.

"He ran out of quarters and started leaving me pens," Cas deadpanned.

Mirabel and Cas looked at each other before they broke into a smile.

"I don't know, Mira," Cas admitted, "The woman is dying. What is there to built to?"

….

Matthew Jameson had never thought he would be burying one of his children before himself. But here he was. His wife Martha was not handling it well. None of them were.

His son, Michael had brought his sons, Malcolm and Mackenzie, to see their aunt Hannah.

Mal being a teenager understood what was happening but Mack was just 7 and didn't really understand.

Kara, Matthew's daughter, had also brought her kids to see Hannah. Eliza and Kayla were in Mal's boat and understand what was happening and had cried. Little Mason though was just 2 and cried cause his sisters cried.

Michael and Kara was very upset too and barely holding it together.

Hannah had just sat there pretty unresponsive. They thought it was the painkillers but the nurse had said that wasn't the case and had no idea what was wrong.

Finally as they were getting ready to leave for the day and got up did Hannah seemed to snap out of it.

"Casandra, Jaime, Matt."

Matthew looked confused at his daughter, "Hannah?"

"I have to tell you something. Something important," Hannah whispered.
