Curlywitch14: Thank you! Iv mentioned before that i worry about overcomplicating things, I feel that's a good way to lay it out clearly, without distracting from the actual story XD
Verucabeyotch: That's Brilliant! I have yet to meet any of the POTC Cast XD I do have a plan for Mr Daisy.. But Shush, You didn't hear it from me.

Chapter 8: Hecate's problems
Hecate transferred to her Apartment, All but collapsing into the sofa. Her hand came up to hold onto her beating heart. She knew he would come up in conversation, knew that story would live again. It's been nine years since she last heard it. She tried to keep it out of her head, tried to block It out.
She'd always remembered her brother so fondly, until that day. She remembers him attending her parents evenings when her parents couldn't. It ended up being all but one of her five parents' evenings. She remembers him playing hide and seek with her back home, he made the dark and scary estate fun, and lively. The trips to the lake, the story's at night. She'd been such a lonely child, but that one person she could count on in her childhood, was Isaac.
The memory she can't quite get over. Was the night he died. She sat in her apartment, marking something. She doesn't quite remember. She does remember the strange feelings she got, however. It felt as if she was being griped by both arms, forced to stay still and listen. A voice filled her mind. "I'm sorry.." there was no mistaking the pain filled voice of her brother. Those two words repeated themselves over and over in her head before a sharp pain filled it. She let out a scream, the pain unbearable. She doesn't remember what happens next. She woke up lying on her bed, Ada beside her, informing her of her brother's death. In his last moments, he'd reached out to her. And in return she'd felt him die.
What little was left of Joy died that day, after years of drowning it out. Trying to forget and move on. It was coming back in hot flashes. She tried to disconnect the rogue wizard from the rogue witch. However, it seemed now, With Mildred knowing of Isaac, it would be impossible to do so. Mildred.. Should she have told her it was her brother? Mildred could at any point look into the archives and find out he was a Hardbroom. It wasn't a secret. But it had been forgotten, his title was more important than family tires.
She was sure she would find out, but Hecate didn't want to be the one to tell Mildred. She didn't want to bring that up. It was Hard enough talking about it as it was. And now, She was stuck reliving that terrible night over and over again. It Haunted her in a way nothing else quite had. She felt immense Guilt over Indigo Moon. It prompted her to draw away from her friends, it trapped her away from her family, it isolated her. Despite this, she still had a life. The Day her brother died, it felt like she didn't even have that. He was the last tie to anything else. She Dove into her work, and soon became the deputy head.
She thought back to Mildred, She was the closest thing to family she had. Well, Other than Pippa. But, She supposed that was a different type of Family. Mildred was truly the closest thing to her brother she had gazed upon since his death. A Love so pure she would do anything for her. That relation struck Hecate like a slap. She finally understood why he sent the message that day. She Finally figured it out. Because she would do that same thing, with Mildred in Mind. If Push came to shove, she would sacrifice herself defeating Julie, Just as her brother had. All so Mildred could be safe.. Thankfully, Mildred would never be alone. If there was one thing Hecate was sure of, it was that Any of the teachers would take her in.
Pippa would Happily care for her. Mr rowan-webb and Miss Bat wouldn't hesitate to let her in. Ada cared for the girl as it is. Demity would take her in if there were no other options. To a Degree, Miss Tapioca wouldnt turn the girl away. It was somewhat Comforting to know that no matter what happens, Mildred would be okay.
A Knock sounded at the door, Hecate stood and walked over to it. Opening it slowly, revealing the concerned Ada. "Dear Hecate.." She started, Not waiting for an invite before entering. "You were Absent from Dinner.." Hecate's head snapped to the clock, She had completely missed Dinner, Something she hadn't done in a very long time. "Are you quite alright?"
"Im.." Everything in Hecate was telling her to tell her she was fine, that she was simply distracted by the way of the world and nothing more. But a nagging voice at the back of her head told her to confide in her. "Im Fine. The current Affairs had.. Reminds me of past problems." She was.. Half Honest. It was better than not at all.
"A Rogue witch is troublesome.." Ada Nodded. "Thankfully Mildred had already been Sentenced, otherwise it could have been much worse." If Juile had attacked Pentangles much sooner, Mildred would most likely be stripped of her Magic and banished, even at her age. "Some Witches are on the lookout for her as we speak" 'some witches', It was Vage. 'Some witches' could mean anyone. It only piqued Hecate's Interest.
"Some Witches?" Hecate Asked. "Do these Witches have names?" She Pressed.
Ada Looked away for a moment, Contemplating on telling Hecate the truth of the situation. " Elvira.. And Farina are a couple of the witches looking for her" The Sixth and Seventh Witch. She didn't know who she should be more worried about, The Witches who were risking their lives once more, Or Julie, who was likely to have a run in with Legends. Hecate hadn't heard those names in a very long time. In all Honesty, She hadn't heard a peak from them, or of them since Just after the Incident. As far as she was Concerned, Elvira was focusing on her Coven. Farina was retired. It seemed only a rogue could drag them away.
"I see.." Was all Hecate could get out. Her Mind Reeling. For most students, The first day of school had gone as expected. For the staff however, they could only dread what was to come.
At Some Point, I will do a little something on the Seven Witches. But.. that will come when the time is right! Make sure to Leave that Review!
