Lilo slowly went to pick him up, having nothing to hide. When there, she moved his hand from his head and felt...that he wasn't melting at all. That was a small relief for her, which helped her trough this whole situation. "Oh", she said while picking him up, "That was only because of my vision". Wakko didn't respond. No wonder, Lilo tought. She had nothing to loose anyway.

Surprisingly for her, the pain grew stronger inside of her as she carried him to the nurse's office. That pain was made of fear mostly, but also of sadness. Lilo couldn't understand that sadness. She just kept on thinking how she had nothing to loose. But it was obvious that wasn't true. Hope dies last.

Still, the pain kept spreading across her chest, making a huge knot in her throat. She didn't want to cry anymore, she had to be strong for both of them. If Wakko, in case, woke up and saw her like that...it wouldn't be any easier then. So she just kept it inside, hoping it would be alright.

The nurse was pacing up and down in her office, not knowing what to do. How could she tell her something like that? How could she tell Lilo she was brave? Of course she knew what a person the CEO was. That was just too obvious. What she didn't know, was Lilo's reaction. Lilo took that as approval, as a "Don't take it back" thing, instead of "Take it back right away".

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. She opened it and saw Lilo carrying Wakko, who looked uncuncious. She was confused. What could happen to him that knocked him out? Then she realised who was actually standing before her. "Lilo...", she whispered her name, trying to find a way to explain what happened.

The little girl ran and layed Wakko down on a table, then hugged the nurse and broke down. It was high time to do it. Lilo just had to let it all out. The nurse hugged her back and sighed. Now she had to cancel any kind of questioning about the situation. She saw there she had yet another trouble to deal with.

"What happened?", she whispered. That was all she could do right now. To be honest, she was tired of all this. All she wanted to do now, was comfort Lilo and help Wakko, and that was it, the whole thing would be solved. She'd be able to deal with the first problem only, not wanting to have two problems at once.

"I...I'm sorry...", Lilo managed to say. She felt so ashamed at that moment. She felt like the world was ending. Just as she thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. Life's unpredictible, in many ways. All Lilo wanted now, was for all of this to end and get back to normal. She didn't want the nurse to be angry with her.

"I'm not mad at you", the nurse read her mind, "Whatever you wrote in that letter, you fought for his rights. And that's one of the best deeds I've been a witness of. Wakko's thankful for that, I'm sure". At that even more tears flew from Lilo's eyes. But why? Why was she so afraid to loose him? Lilo knew very well how to answer that. Wakko was one of her only friends, apart from his siblings and, if he really was dead, this whole thing about the letter would loose every purpose it had. At least she did something to help then. The question still was...

"I-is...h-he...d...dead?", she barely managed to stutter. It was so hard to talk for her due to all those tears, still she had to ask that, she had to know if all of this still had a purpose. "No...", the nurse comforted her in a calming voice, "I'm hundred, but hundred percent sure he's not". That didn't sound so helpful, though. Lilo was choking in tears, not being able to stop, not being able to calm the storm inside of her. But the worst thing of all, she still felt guilt.

"I'm so sorry...", she repeated trough tears, trying to feel less guilty. "Hey...you have done nothing wrong...", the nurse finaly said, "Come on, let's get you all cleaned up, you surely don't want Wakko to see you like this", she let go of the hug and took Lilo's hand. "You were too brave and strong to cry this much, belive me", she kept on telling her stuff like that.

Wakko opened his eyes and saw a familliar place. He was confused by that, though. What had just happened? Why was he here? Suddenly, all that had happened came flooding back to his mind. Facing the orange-haired girl...her getting that water gun out...the D.I.P... Wakko shivered at the tought of that. It reminded him of the pain he suddenly felt. His sides hurt, his back, his limbs... everything.

Wakko looked around the office, as far as he could. No one was there. Something was wrong. Where was Lilo? Was she in trouble because of this? Was he in trouble? Out of all the feelings, there was the one he just couldn't stand. Fear. Wakko just didn't understand it. Why was everyone always fearing something? Didn't they just have nothing to loose?

At that moment, he heard the door open and two familiar voices. He sighed in relief. "Told you, he'd wake up", said the nurse with a smile. Lilo couldn't help but feel some kind of misgiving before what would happen, whatever that was. She came to the table, trembling a bit. "Hey...", she greeted. Wakko turned his head towards her, "Hey...", he smiled. "How...how are you?", Lilo stuttered.

Wakko took her hand, "Don't worry, I'm ok". Yes, he was ok, even though everything hurt him. Then he looked at the nurse, "Please don't tell my siblings about what happened". She totaly understood him, he didn't want them to worry. She just nodded and turned to Lilo, "See how he knows he's done nothing wrong?", she whispered in her ear. Lilo just nodded, a frown on her face.

"Well", said the nurse as she turned back to Wakko, "I guess we should fix you first". She picked him up and they all went to the emergency room.

Lilo watched as the nurse checked him up. Some kind of worry crept into her as she waited for the results. But why? Didn't he say he was fine? Maybe he just wanted to comfort her? No, she knew he'd never do that. He wasn't afraid of vulnerability, he'd tell her if something was wrong.

The situation wasn't as good as she tought, though. The nurse turned to her with a frown, "He's badly injured". Lilo frowned back, glad it didn't surprise her, which, however, confused her. "Don't worry, he'll be fine, I promise", said the nurse. But Lilo just kept staring blankly into space, lost. "Lilo? You ok?", asked Wakko, now sitting on the edge of the bed. She looked at him, "I feel strange...".

Wakko stared at her in confusion, "What do you mean?". Lilo sighed, "I guess there's just too much stuff on my mind", then after a while of silence, "I tought you were dead". "Well", Wakko smiled, "Good luck I'm not". "Yeah, the best", said Lilo kind of ironicly. The nurse listened to them all along and recognised something wasn't right in their conversation.

"Guys, don't you think you're being a little...hopeless?", she finaly asked. "What?", both of them asked. "You sound like you have nothing to loose, why?", she sounded more serious now. "It's too late", said Lilo, "We've made a terrible mistake, both of us". "That's not true", said Wakko, shaking his head, "You're doing the right thing". "Then why does it feel so wrong to me?", asked Lilo, feeling tears in her eyes, which confused her even more.

All of a sudden, Dr. Scratchensniff burst into the room, pale as ever. "Lilo, Wakko-", he started, but stopped when he saw what was going on. Lilo broke down again, not knowing what to do. The nurse picked her up and sat her on the bed next to Wakko who then hugged her. She sighed heavily, "Do you see what you have done now?!", she turned to Scratchy.

"I know, but-", he just couldn't get a chance to speak. "If you would please exuse me, I have two vulnerable kids here, one more vulnerable than the other, as you can see", said the nurse. The psychiatrist left and she closed the door. "Sorry about that", she said with another sigh. "What's happening?!", Wakko asked, looking at her with wide eyes and a frown. "Mr. Plotz is angry with you two".
