Giving The People Hope

Neito Monoma and Hitoshi Shinso were two similar spirits. They were both bullied for their quirks for similar reasons. They were called villains every day, always forced to watch over their shoulders at Aldera Junior High. They found friendship with each other as they looked at the world around them with disdain. They couldn't wait to leave this world behind.

"Hey, what the hell are you two villains doing in my way?!"

The resident bully of Aldera, Katsuki Bakugou and his lackeys showed up. Bakugou was looked at like a savior of the school, the essence of society. He had a flashy quirk called Explosion, one of the best quirks and most useful for a future hero. But because of that he had experienced pampering growing up and the admiration of the people around him got him bigger and bigger headed to where he had contracted a superiority complex.

"Get the hell out of my way, you goddamn villains, before I beat you up like the trash that you are and throw you in prison for life. Only the future number 1 hero can walk ahead and you two need to get out of my way like the ants you are."

Shinso had enough. He was tired of getting bullied, tired of life. Bakugou was getting more and more insufferable as time went on. They had used to be friends as children but as time went on and they got their quirks Bakugou grew an inferiority complex between those two as they had put him in his place multiple times using their quirks, Copy and Brainwash. That's when he heard a voice say behind them,

"What the hell is your problem, Blondie? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, because with all that crankiness on your face, you look like you're going to blow a fuse."

Monoma and Shinso turned around in shock. No one talked to Bakugou like that around here, because he would kill them in his blind anger. They saw a blue hair teen, around the same age as them, with glasses on and headphones around his neck with some blue clothes on.

(Just put headphones around his neck)

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO TELL ME YOU EXTRA?!" Bakugou had explosions in his hand as he glared at the person who dared to tell him off. He was Katsuki Bakugou, future number one hero. If this nerd got in his way, there would be hell to pay.

Izuku had ignored him as he looked at Monoma and Shinso, both with shock on their faces. He had ignored what the walking bomb had said and asked them, "Hey you two, if you want you can come with me so you can ignore this goddamn bully. My name is Izuku Akatani, you two are?"

Shinso was the first one to speak up. "My name is Hitoshi Shinso, and slick blonde hair is Neito Monoma. Nice to meet you, I guess." Shinso was just confused and tired, first Bakugou, and now this person had shown up to defend them for seemingly no reason. What was this world becoming?

Izuku just smiled at them and stuck out his hand. "Well, it's nice to meet you two."

Monoma stuck his hand out and replied, "Same, nice to meet someone who doesn't treat us with contempt."

"HEY YOU EXTRA, DON'T IGNORE ME, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?"

Bakugou had rushed this extra, intending to pound him into the ground for daring to defy him. Yeah, he would definitely show this extra his place, which was on the floor as a goddamn pebble for him to step on!

"Careful there. Try not to trip next time you attack someone," was a cheeky voice that Bakugou heard as he was face first on the floor. He couldn't believe it, this extra dared TO TRIP HIM. What the heck was his quirk, anyway? How did he even do that? Not that time to think about that. Now he was going to plant this garbage into the ground no matter what!

"DON"T PLAY AROUND WITH ME YOU FREAKING BUG, I WILL SMASH YOU INTO THE GROUND."

"Katsuki, what the heck are you doing?!" A woman's voice had called out to him. He stopped his attacks in his tracks as everyone looked to the right to see a teen girl with green hair yell at him.

Katsuki then groaned out in frustration, something that caused Monoma, Shinso, and the two lackeys to widen their eyes as he stated very angrily,

"Coming Nozomi, I was just dealing with an extra that needed to be put in their place."

"Well hurry Katsuki, our mothers are making spicy food tonight and we can't miss it!"

Katsuki got up and snarled at Monoma and Shinso before going up to Izuku and angrily whispering, "Don't think this is over, you goddamn extra. I'll destroy you and smash your confidence into the ground."

Izuku just smiled confidently and said, "I think you might want to leave before your friend beats the crap out of you."

Katsuki just snarls and walks away while Nozomi goes up to Monoma and Shinso while the two lackeys walk away.

"Sorry for Katsuki's behavior, you two, I've been trying to quell his complex issues for years. You can blame it on me if you want."

"It's cool, it's not your fault he's that insufferable."

Nozomi just walks away with Katsuki while the other two walk up to Izuku.

"Izuku Akatani, right?" Monoma asked the blue-haired teen.

"Yeah, you guys okay, any issues?"

"Not really, but thank you for defending us. Few people stick their necks out for us like you did back there."

"It's cool, it's what I normally do, save people even when they ask not to be saved."

"I saw how fast you moved there. If you could tell us what your quirk is, we'd appreciate it." Shinso asked him tiredly while Monoma looked at him with an exasperated smile.

"Sure, my quirk's name is Chaos. I can use energy inside and outside my body for speed and energy related attacks for any ranges and use some attacks that are wind based and defensive related. When I tripped that Bakugou guy, I used my speed to trip him." He said with a snicker.

Shinso and Monoma looked at him with disbelieving jaws. That is such an amazing quirk for him to have, much better than their own villainous ones. They both looked down with downtrodden looks.

"If you guys can answer, what are your quirks?" Izuku asked with a smile.

"... My quirk is called Brainwash. I can brainwash someone if they respond to me with a verbal comment." Shinso said with a wince and sigh.

"My quirk is called Copy. I can copy someone's quirk but only for 15 minutes at a time and it's only the basic form of their quirk." Monoma looked down with a sad look.

"Damn…" Shinso and Monoma both prepared to leave, "Those are outstanding quirks! The amount of uses that your quirks can do if you two are heroes are insane. You can brainwash a villain into giving up or brainwash a person in a hostage situation and get the hostages out easily. You can stop panicking civilians from causing mass panic. Monoma you can use a villain's quirk against them, you can use another hero's quirk, you could combine quirks to make a whole new one." Izuku continued to ramble as both of them looked at Izuku with wide eyes. They had never heard someone compliment their quirks before. Even their parents had looked at them weirdly after the revelation of their quirks, so to hear a random person like this say it, it was a breath of fresh air.

"He, do you guys want to head to my apartment? I got games there and we can make a day out of it if you want to join me." Izuku had looked at them with a smile and hope in his eyes to gain some new friends, they honestly looked like they needed it.

Shinso and Monoma looked at Izuku with happy looks as they walked off talking about their lives over the years. Shinso and Monoma arrived at Izuku's apartment and saw how much space he had to himself. He showed off his music and some of his inventions to them, like the Extreme Gear and Gravity Repulsor, and they were both excited to try it out and use it. They played games the whole nights and slept over, making a friend group that would stand the test of time.

Friends Born Out of Freedom

The Next day all three boys went to a place known as Dagobah Municipal Beach that had been all but cleared up of the trash that once smothered the area. Izuku had wanted Shinso and Monoma to train with him and get their bodies and Martial Arts ready for when the UA Entrance Exams eventually took place.

"Alright guys, so do you want to take part in the Reality Simulation and train there or train on this beach?" Izuku had asked them as they looked around at the cleared beach.

Shinso grew interested in the Reality Simulator, so he asked Izuku a question about it.

"Hey Izuku, what realities can your simulation do exactly?" He asked very tiredly as he barely got to sleep the night before.

"I have a lot of realities here for training. I have levels for rescuing training in case in the future I have to do a rescue mission, levels for information gathering levels, levels for base destroying, levels for racing, levels for fighting with some famous villains for different countries, whichever fits your liking." Izuku mumbled excitedly to the intrigued duo.

"Do you think I can copy the quirks of the villains inside the simulation?"

"And if I can brainwash them?"

"Well, certainly you can! My simulations are made not from the brain by warping reality itself, so everything is still real. You can still feel pain, still bleed, still do everything you normally do. So you can build up your combat skills against basically real people!" Izuku said with a menacing grin that the two returned. This was going to be fun!

Izuku, Monoma and Shinso all trained the next 9 months and hung out with each other every single day and grew very close, to where each of them could call each other brothers, Shinso the tired, elder brother, Monoma the sarcastic, middle brother, and Izuku the excited and confident younger brother. Izuku had met the parents of Shinso and Monoma, and they grew to see him as a nephew. They trained every single day with one goal, getting into a UA hero course. Monoma and Shinso got told by Izuku about how he was a recommendation student by the Principal and they grew shocked, but were happy for the friend/brother. They trained with a fire lit in their soul and a goal to prove all their doubters wrong about them. Izuku, Monoma and Shinso walked up to UA and saw the shining symbol of a new era of their lives. Their freedom would be getting a new makeover as heroism, and they would grab that opportunity and hug it with their lives.

They Began to Reach For The Stars

Nozomi Yagi was brought into life by two loving parents, Toshinori Yagi and Inko Yagi. She was primed to be a great hero. She had always been considered a prodigy. She had good grades, strong body, nice quirk and she seemed primed to be at the top of future hero lists.

Her parents were also the heroes All Might and Green Psion. The Number One Hero had a daughter with the number 15 hero, primed to take a spot in the Top 10. The child that would be born would be a great hero for years to come, and that is exactly what Nozomi Yagi was. Nobody knew she was All Might's daughter, well besides U.A. and All For One, but that's besides the point. All For One was dead, and UA would never give away her information to her classmates or the public, so her secret was safe for now.

She had always been friends with Katsuki Bakugou her whole life, however, because their mothers knew each other for such a long time. She had no romantic interest in Bakugou though; he was way too violent, even if he toned it down when she was around. She was also very confident, almost to the point of arrogance. She had a good life growing up, and was always praised for her quirk, Telekinesis. Her quirk was very powerful, on the same level as her mother's and was only going to improve as time went on. She was excited to show up at UA and dominate along with Bakugou.

She was becoming a hero to save people, just like her parents. She would save people, but there was another reason.

She didn't get One For All

She thought she had all the intangibles that made up a selfless person, ready to put their life on the line, but her father never chose her, so she would prove him wrong, and force him to recognize that she was the right choice, even if the decision had already been made.

"Finally, my dream to become number one starts now!" She thought to herself.

She then turns and sees a girl almost fall after taking a step. She rushes to stop her from falling, only to see a blue blur go faster than she can see and pick up the brown-haired girl.

"Excuse me miss, you seemed to have lost focus there." He said with a cheeky voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry! It's a bit nerve-wracking coming to my dream school."

"I know the feeling well, have a good day, Miss…"

"Ochaco Uraraka is my name. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Uraraka, my name is Izuku Akatani, but you can call me Izuku." He said with a grin as he ran off with two other boys.

Nozomi watched as that blue-haired boy walked away with the light purple haired and blonde-haired teens. She recognized them as the ones Bakugou had encountered that one day.

Bakugou had said that he couldn't wait to put that "Izuku Akatani" back in his place. Honestly, she just was confused on why he had remembered his name if he was supposed to be an extra.

He was someone too good to be an extra

The Staff of UA had been waiting for this day for a while. The most hyped up entrance exam was here and at the center was Nezu's prospect, Izuku Akatani. Nezu was out of the camera room getting his prospect ready to start his show while the teachers saw the boy for the first time.

"THAT'S THE KID, HE LOOKS SO COOL!" Yamada yelled out as everyone covered their ears.

"Shut up, you need to preserve your voice for when you go on stage, remember." Aizawa grumbled while in his sleeping bag.

"Sorry Shota, I was just so excited, I mean we need to see if that kid is all that Nezu hyped him up to be." Yamada nearly screamed.

"Nezu wouldn't lie about something so trivial, but I will admit I want to see this as well. I want to see if the hype behind this kid is real." Maijima said excitedly.

"Well, it's about to start so Hizashi you better get going, before I whip you." Kayama whispered seductively as she licked her lips.

Yamada had rushed out of the room and saw the whole crowd notice and recognize him. He cleared his throat and began the speech.

"WELCOME EVERYBODY TO MY LIVE SHOW! EVERYBODY SAY HEY!"

Crickets were louder than the crowd as they were stone dead. Shinso whispered to Monoma, "What do you think Izuku is doing?"

"Probably shouting Hey along with Present Mic." He said snickering as Bakugou looked at them and scowled.

"Goddamn villains, what the hell are you doing at a hero school if you're just going to betray us."

Yamada continued with his speech as no one responded to his saying.

"SO PAY ATTENTION LISTENERS! THE EXAM WILL BE 10 MINUTES LONG AND YOU ARE ALL REQUIRED TO SHOW UP AT THE DESIGNATED MEETING SPOT WHICH IS A FAKE CITY MADE BY UA AND IT IS WRITTEN ON THE PAPER YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO WHETHER IT IS A, B, C OR D RESPECTIVELY. YOU ALL WITH ME?

Monoma saw City A on his paper as he looked at Shinso and saw City D.

"So we aren't in the same city."

"Doesn't look like it. They probably split us up because we know each other and we'd work together.

Bakugou looked at his own paper and saw City B and sighed angrily.

"Didn't get the damn villains in my area so I can knock them out." He whispered to himself.

Yamada then continued with, "EXCELLENT. SO IN THIS EXAM WE HAVE THESE SPRINLING "VILLAINS" THAT YOU HAVE TO DEFEAT TO GAIN POINTS, AND THE POINT RANGE WILL BE FROM 1 to 3. THE ENTIRE UA STAFF WILL BE WATCHING YOU SO IF YOU TRY TO SABOTAGE OTHERS OR WE SEE YOU DO ANTI-HEROIC STUFF YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. GOT THAT?"

"EXCUSE ME SIR!" A voice stood out amongst the crowd as a tall teen with dark blue hair stood up.

"Sir, you mentioned three types of villains but on this handout, it says there are 4 types of villains. Such an error would be a huge embarrassment for a top tier school such As UA. Is there an error there?"

"Thank you for pointing that out, Examinee 5452. The fourth villain is worth 0 points, it is an arena trap, as you say. These villains rampage when crowded."

Yamada then felt something crawl up his back as Nezu got on his shoulder.

"Hello children, My name is Nezu. Am I a dog, a bear, I don't know, but what I know is that I am the principal of UA HIGH!" Nezu exclaimed as every student began staring and murmuring.

"Now before we start your exams, there is something I want you to watch that will help motivate you to do better. I will show you an examinee going through a recommendation exam that will shock your system, are you all ready?"

Monoma and Shinso grew wide eyes and looked at each other

"Neito, is he talking about Izuku?!"

"If he is, Izuku must be supremely confident right now."

Bakugou overheard them and grew excited. He could see the skills of the extra that rubbed him the wrong way and once he dissected the info from his skills, he will put him back on the ground.

The giant screen opened up, and everyone in the building saw a blue-haired boy on the screen in a white room all alone with green glasses on his head, a large wristband around his right wrist, and red and white Carbine 6's along with a Blue Shirt and Basketball Shorts ready.

Nozomi and Ochaco both widened their eyes. This was the boy they had been thinking of this whole time. Both for different reasons as Ochaco thought about the boy that had saved her while Nozomi thought about the boy Bakugou needed to beat. They both had one thought.

"I can't wait to see what he is made of."

I can't wait to see what kind of strength he has

"Izuku Akatani, are you ready for your recommendation exams?" A voice over the speaker had boomed.

"I was born ready." He said with a smile as he readied himself.

"Very well, we will test your quirk along with the invention you call the 'Reality Simulator'."

"Very well, which level have you picked?"

"We have picked the Level known as 'Cool Edge,' get ready to go."

Izuku was ready, Cool Edge was always one of his favorites. He was going to crush this exam with horrifying ease.

Shinso and Monoma smiled. They knew of Cool Edge since they saw Izuku run through it in the past. They knew he had it down.

Teachers and the crowd waited with bated breath as the world around Izuku started phasing around him until it eventually turned into a glacier filled ocean. They all widened their eyes. Maijima, especially as he had never seen this before.

"Mission: Cool Edge- get through and find the hidden base, START!"

Izuku boosted through the start line, running as fast as he could with a blue energy shield around the front of him as he glided through the level with ease, smashing through icicles that were in his way. He reached a water pool, but he never stopped running and he never stopped smiling. He boosted through and reached a huge jump in which he jumped a chasm of ice in which there was nothing to catch him from falling . Everyone saw as he jumped high into the air and then promptly dropped their jaws when he boosted in midair as he broke through multiple layers of ice with a punch. Icicles broke from the ceiling as they blocked his path. He gathered energy around him as blue energy spears surrounded him on all sides.

"CHAOS SPEAR." Izuku had shouted for everyone to hear.

Every icicle was obliterated by his attack, not one was kept safe from his assault as he continued to boost through the water. Izuku ran through a tunnel of ice with very little difficulty that led to an ice lake which then broke off, as everyone watched with wide eyes as a blue whale sent him up into the sky.

"Wait… SO THAT SIMULATION IS REAL!" Screamed Maijima to himself

Aizawa had a grin that could split his face, this was exciting to watch, a prodigy like no other he said, looks like Nezu was right on the money. He was possibly even faster than Quicksilver, and that's saying something. This kid was unbelievable.

Kan had to pinch himself, everything that kid just did was beyond what he had witnessed before in his life. A quirk like that, this kid really hit the jackpot.

Then everyone watched what was next when he activated the wristband, and how it stopped gravity and made him fly.

Then they watched him break through sheets of glass with a single power stomp.

He slid through ice, broke through glaciers, and ran on water at supersonic speeds without never once stopping for breath.

Jaws dropped to the floor, screams were heard, but no words were necessary. This kid was out of control.

This kid's potential really was limitless.

Izuku finished his exam on Cool Edge very early, but even then everyone was still speechless.

"Izuku Akatani, are you ready for your second simulation?"

Nobody could believe it, another simulation, if it was anything like that one they just saw they would love to see it.

"Yes I am, and I get to choose this level, right?"

"Yes, you get to choose."

"Put on the level, Starlight Carnival please." Izuku said excitedly.

Monoma and Shinso just looked at each other with smirks, Izuku just wanted to show off now. Starlight Carnival was Izuku's favorite level, and he brought out the Extreme Gear. It was already over.

They couldn't wait to see Izuku in their class

Bakugou looked furious, he couldn't believe what he just saw, no one could.

"That extra, he's taking my fame away… MY FAME! If that extra thinks he is taking my number one spot, he has another thing coming. His quirk is crazy, but mine is better. I'll crush him like the bug he is underneath my foot. He has nothing on me."

Nozomi looked astounded. This was his potential. It was crazy. He did things with his quirk that nobody would ever even think of.A stomp in midair, an energy homing attack, a light speed dash, an air boost, all of his moves were incredible. That invention was amazing, and she saw the gravity get changed, and if she heard it right, he made a Reality Simulator that just made the level he was in. It was just insane.

"Mission: Starlight Carnival-Get to the end without taking damage"

The scene switched from an Ice Paradise to space, spaceships all around as Izuku looked around with a smirk. He then looked at his path.

"Mission: START!"

He blasted through the beginning as he ran on a light pathway. The light path paved his way as he raced around spaceships, being targeted by rockets and multiple lasers without taking a hit. Flipping over rockets, dodging under lasers, riding on the sides of spaceships, wall-jumping through multiple spaceships. Going over railings while jumping over spikes that were laid as traps, Destroying robots that came after him as he destroyed light refractions with a homing attack and went inside a spaceship, seemingly to come back out a second later.

It Was a Spectacle

Now was time to show off. He then pulled out his Extreme Gear and began flying through space on a hoverboard.. Using his Gravity Repulsor to switch directions numerously while dodging all kinds of attacks. Defying gravity with virtually no issue with a grin on his face as he just pumped his fist. Following the light pathway with horrifying ease and finesse. He was doing it with a smile on his face as the green light of His Extreme Gear showed the way he was going. He boosted and the Extreme Gear sped up as he flew through space commandingly and easily. He boosted his way past multiple robots as they all blew up behind him, the camera just showing him getting away from the explosions with a blue energy shield covering him and his Extreme Gear as he boosted to the finish line, without ever looking back.

It was a glorious experience.

Maijima looked astonished, Aizawa looked amazed, Kan looked stunned, Shuzenji looked stupefied, all the UA Staff and future students alike looked dumbfounded.

Izuku Akatani just looked at the camera after he ended his level and gave a thumbs up. Knowing that he would have some of them as classmates in the future, and knowing that his new teachers would be watching, so he wanted to make a good impression.

He showed his Freedom to them all and Never Looked Back
