Meanwhile, at the bar, Emma is shown dancing along to 'Semi-Charmed Life' by Third-Blind Eye, tapping her foot, shaking her hips, and using the gun as a makeshift microphone. She soon begins singing along to the first verse while Noah begins searching Lightning, Duncan, and the bartender for items of value.
"Sing into the mic," Emma said, as she crouched down and pressed the barrel of gun against Duncan's mouth.
"Jesus!" Duncan called out, flinching at Emma's recklessness while holding a firearm.
"No?" Emma asked before shrugging it off and standing back, continuing to dance while Noah continues to pat the men down and disarm them. Emma then crouches down next to the bartender, who currently has his head. "And you, Tats? You got something to say? No?" She lightly taps him on the head with gun's barrel before continuing to sing.
As she does so, she lifts the gun between her raised leg and accidentally drops, causing it to fall not too far away from Duncan's position. However, as he's eyeing it, she immediately kneels down and grabs it. "I see you eyeing that, Mohawk. Not on my watch!"
Eventually, Noah manages to find what they're looking for in Lightning's back pocket: the keys to the back room where they're holding Dave. "Bingo! Bingo!" Noah cheers, holding up the keys and jingle them for Emma to see. "I got them, baby. Let's do this."
Emma cheers and they immediately race over towards the door.
They unlock and proceed to enter the back room where we see Dave still tied up with a bag over his head.
"Hey, hey, Dave," Noah yelled out, triumphant. "Guess who it is!"
As they enter, Dave frantically begins writhing around in the chair, attempting to release himself.
"Ready? Hello?" Noah said, removing the bag from his head, revealing a terrified Dave with duct tape over his mouth. "Look at that face! That is priceless."
"Oh, shit," Emma yelled out, excitedly. "You did not expect us this early, did you?"
"I've gotta capture this moment. Honey, get in there," Noah said, as he takes out his phone and he and Emma crouch down behind Dave, who appears to be in a state of panic, attempting to warn them about something but being unable to do so due to the duct tape. "We'll take a quick little selfie here and send it off to the losers." Noah gets the camera ready while Emma holds the gun barrel in her mouth and smiles, holding up a peace sign in the process. "One, two, three." They take the picture and laugh. "Perfect."
At that moment, Noah's cell phone goes off, with the caller ID reading, 'Geoff'. "Oh, speak of the devil. There's Geoff now, probably calling begging for help. Ignore." He hangs up the phone as Emma removes the duct tape from Dave's mouth.
"This is not a game, Noah!" Dave cries out, frantically.
A hand wrapped in a towel smashes through a porthole window on the door, startling Noah and Emma and scaring Dave.
"Jesus!" Noah exclaims, before telling the thugs to cool it. "Guys, it's a wrap in here, okay? Show's over." The thug attempts to reach the lock and get the door open to no avail.
"Listen, I'm not a venture capitalist. I'm a smuggler!" Dave cries out, fearing for his life.
"A smuggler?" Noah and Emma say together, clearly assuming this to be just another elaborate ruse set up by Dave, but Dave perseveres as the thug continues to try and get the door open.
"Yeah, I made a mistake," he tells them. "I sold the Spaniard's egg to a different guy. And I have to get it back to him, or he's gonna kill me!"
"'The Spaniard's egg'? Wasn't that the third Harry Potter book?" Noah asked, still believing this to all be an act. "Come on."
The mook continues to bang on the door, hard, gaining Emma's attention as to how they're really going all out, even to the end.
"Wait, I'm confused," she said, turning towards Dave. "So, this isn't the end of this whole thing?"
"No, it is the end, okay?" Noah said, fairly annoyed, as he turns towards Dave and points at him. "You said, whoever catches you gets the car. We found you, we get the car. Game over." Emma and Noah high five each other as Dave continues his attempts to convince them that he's being dead serious.
"No! I'm telling you! This is all real!"
The thug momentarily leaves before coming back with a pool cue and attempting to use it to unlock the door while Dave, Emma, and Noah continue to squabble.
"The shitty actors are real?" Noah asked. "Come on. How about that ridiculous fight? Was that real?"
"Is this gun real?" Emma asked, holding up, prompting Dave to frantically shake his head with worry.
"Oh, no, Emma," Dave says, as if trying to warn her.
"Oh, no. Oh, no," she repeats back, mockingly, before holding the gun above her head and making gun sounds. "Bang, bang." She accidentally presses the trigger and discharges a round, causing it to break the overhead light. Noah and Emma flinch and she screams, causing her to drop the gun.
When the gun hits the floor, it goes off again. Noah withdraws his arm in pain as Emma gasps and the banging on the door intensifies. Noah holds up his arm to find blood oozing out of a bullet hole, signifying that he's been shot.
Noah looks at this in sheer terror. "Blood!" he screams.
"Oh, my God! I shot you!" Emma cries out, clearly in shock at having just shot her husband in the forearm.
"You fucking shot me!"
"Cut me loose before we all get shot!" Dave yells out, still struggling to get free. Emma quickly rushes to his side as Noah holds his arm in pain.
Emma unties Dave as Duncan continues to try and unlock the door using a pool cue, inching closer and closer to his objective.
"Come on! Go, go, go!" Dave yells out once he free as he and Emma bolt towards the door, with Noah following them as he clutches his arm.
"What the fuck did you do to me?" Noah asked his wife as she grabs him, and they run.
They run out of the back room as the thugs barge in.
"Where are the guns?" Lightning asked. Duncan spots them and grabs them and he and Lightning follow the others outside.
Outside, the trio race towards Noah and Emma's car, terrified, as the two mooks follow behind them.
"You shot me," Noah said.
"I know," Emma told him. "I feel terrible."
The trio get into the car with Emma behind the wheel while their pursuers run into the path of an oncoming car which slows just in time, giving the trio enough time to get buckled in and start the engine.
"Go, go, go!" Dave yelled out and Emma quickly backed out from the alley, accidentally running into Lightning, knocking him down. Lightning gets back up and he and Duncan begin firing at the car.
In the backseat, Dave ducks to avoid their fire, screaming like a little girl.
"God damn it!" Duncan yelled out.
"Man, come on!" Lightning told his partner, and they race towards their van.
Emma speeds along a deserted road, totally and unequivocally terrified.
"Dave, what the fuck is going on with you?" Noah asked, understandably pissed. "Start talking!"
"I've lied to you and the family about what I do," Dave begins. "I buy and sell illegal shit for people in the black market."
"Really? So you're a criminal?" Noah asked.
"Oh, my God! They're following us!" Emma cried out, seeing their reflection in the side mirror.
We find the kidnappers' black van is in pursuit, forcing Emma to speed up as Dave continues to explain what happened.
"But I made a mistake because there's this guy. They call him the Spaniard. He's got his fingers in all these pies around the world."
"What kind of pies?" Noah asked.
"Illegal pies, Noah," Dave answers. "You know, the kind of pies that have heroin in them and guns and sex slaves. You know, all that kind of stuff. But he just wanted me to help him find this Fabergé egg."
"Fuck that!" Noah says, angry that this whole ordeal was the result of an egg. "Fabergé egg? Are you kidding me?"
"No, I'm serious," Dave tells him. "And I found it! But then there was this other guy, this Tom McGillis. He's willing to pay twice as much for the same egg."
"So what? So you screwed over the Spaniard guy and the fellows behind us work for him, and they just happen to crash your murder mystery party?"
"I know, right?" Dave asked, amazed. "What are the odds of that?"
The van catches up alongside and veers towards them, forcing Emma to swerve the car away from them. However, a delivery truck backs up in front of them.
"Watch out! Watch out!" Noah yelled out, calling attention to it. Emma quickly swerves to avoid hitting it, resulting in them hitting the van, shattering the passenger window. The van veers off, leaving a sizeable gap between them and the trio.
"Sorry! You okay?" Emma asked after regaining control of the vehicle.
"Yeah, I'm alright," Noah assures her.
"We need to go to the cops now!" Emma says.
"Yeah, right now!" Noah agrees. "Let's go."
"No! We can't go to the cops!" Dave tells them, assertively.
"Why?" Noah asks.
"The Spaniard's got a ton of moles," Dave says.
"On his face," Emma asked, appearing disgusted, gaining incredulous looks from Dave and Noah.
"No, in the police department," Dave told her, peeved.
Noah sees the van pulling up beside them again. "Look out!" Noah yelled out.
The van attempts to hit them again, forcing them to swerve into oncoming traffic. Emma manages to avoid hitting them and veers onto the sidewalk, cutting across a parking lot with Dave's captors in hot pursuits.
"Oh, my God! This is insane!" Emma cried out.
The trio and the van now barrel along, parallel to each other. The van is shown heading straight towards a narrow tunnel, forcing Emma to accelerate out of the parking lot, barely managing to cut off the van and flying into the tunnel.
"If you call the cops, I'll be dead before I get to jail," Dave says.
"Why don't we just get a hold of this Tom McGillis guy and buy the egg back from him?" Noah asked.
"I couldn't find him if I wanted to. That name's an alias," Dave tells them.
Having exited the tunnel, the van pulls up alongside them again. Lightning rolls down the passenger window and aims his gun at them, scaring them shitless.
"Gun, gun, gun! Duck!" Noah yelled out. Lightning discharges a round, but Emma manages to veer the car away down a side street. The van backs up and continues its pursuit.
"Okay, these guys are not stopping," Emma commented. "What do we do?"
"They're not gonna stop until they get me," Dave tells them, remorseful. "I'm sorry I dragged you guys into this. I'm sorry for a lot of things." Dave, knowing what he has to do, opens the back door, startling Noah and Emma.
"What is he doing? What is he doing?" Emma asked, frantically.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Noah asked.
"I love you, Noah!" Dave said.
"Dave, don't be an idiot," Noah says.
He leaps out of the car and rolls across the ground before coming to a stop.
"Stop the car!" Noah tells his wife, prompting Emma to slam on the brakes while the van pulls up next to Dave.
Noah and Emma look through the rearview window and see Lightning and Duncan exit the van. Noah begins to unbuckle, but Lightning proceeds to open fire on them as Duncan approaches Dave, forcing Noah and Emma to duck down.
"Shit! Go, go, go!" Noah tells Emma.
"Oh, my God! Okay, okay." Emma immediately slams on the gas and speeds away.
"Fuck! What are we gonna do? They're gonna kill my brother." He attempts to go further, but the bullet begins severely depleting his tank. "Oh, Emma, I feel faint. I'm gonna pass out."
"Oh, honey, we'll get you to a hospital, okay?" Emma attempts to reassure him.
"No, no, no! No hospitals," Noah asserts. "This is a gunshot wound, they'll call the cops."
Emma, realizing he's right, tries to come up with a solution. "Shit, shit! Okay. So we go to a mob doctor, right?"
Noah looks at her, nonplussed. "Do you know one of those, sweetheart?"
"No," Emma tells him, causing him to frown. "What about a veterinarian that works for the mob?" she asked, throwing out another random suggestion.
"You know one of those?" Noah asked, sarcastically.
"No," Emma says.
"Come on. Why are you pitching all the mob stuff?" Noah asked.
"I think 'cause I'm losing my shit here!" Emma yelled out, panicked.
"I get it," Noah said, understanding. "You're gonna have to do it."
"What?" Emma asked, looking at him like he's deranged.
"Yup," Noah said. "You're gonna have to take the bullet out."
"I don't wanna… I don't wanna do it," Emma said.
"You think I want you to take the bullet out?" Noah said, writhing a bit as he moves his arm. "I've seen you try to cut a chicken. We have no other option."
Emma begins sobbing at all the craziness that has just unfolded before them. "Oh, my God! This is so bad! I hate game night!"
The speed off to parts unknown, fearful that the worst is yet to come.
