That was it. Mertle was finished. Everyone acused her of doing what she did. She had no escape anymore. She was officialy over. She wanted to cry out of anger. Mertle was so furious, she started running.

"Mertle! What's the matter with you?!", Katie grabbed her hand and they stopped. "What?!", Mertle snapped, "Leave me alone already, will you?!". "How dare you talk to me like that?!". "You're not my mom!" "Well at least I'm older! Children shouldn't play with guns, you know". "Who said I was playing?".

At that moment, a bolt striked the ground somewhere in the distance and rain started pouring down in literal waterfalls. The three started running towards the orphanage and quickly came there. They all panted once they went inside. As soon as they got themselves back together, Katie's mom took action.

"Alright! Back to your room!", she said, pointing at it, "You're grounded, remember?". Mertle just hung her head down and did as she was told. She shut the door behind her and curled up on her bed. While sitting there, she tought about her life. Not that she became a bully because of something, she had always been one. The only people she had always loved were her parents, that was for sure. Her father had a store she was very proud of.

And then...he left. And they had to move to Hawaii, that place full of weirdos and freaks. Mertle didn't know how it happened, she tought it was her fault because she was such a bully. When she first heard she was going to L. A., she shivered. On one hand, she wanted to finaly escape Hawaii. While on the other...it brought too many memories. And the orphanage...it was too strict.

Suddenly, she heard another bolt strike and curled up a little more. That shocked her, she had never been scared of stuff like that. But now... she needed a hug. She needed it the most at that moment. She missed the toonist crew that took her in not long ago. If only she could run back there and stay forever. But she couldn't. She had to just sit there and listen to the dull rain.

Meanwhile in his office, Mr. Plotz was doing something, nothing different from any other day. And while he was going trough one of his drawers, he gasped, seeing a red hat laying there between the papers. He got it out and slammed it on the desk, not beliving what he was seeing. Have they done something zany again? Was Wakko paying him back? No, that couldn't be. That girl Lilo was clear and it was over now. But what was the hat doing there then?

Plotz took the telephone and dialed the number. "Hello?", the psychiatrist answered. "I need your help", the CEO said, panicking. "Yes, I know", said Scratchy, "Wakko und Lilo are in ze hospital".

"What?!", Katie was shocked. Her arms started trembling, she couldn't hold the telephone anymore. "We're sorry", said the receptionist in the toon hospital, "This orange haired little girl brought them last night here because- hello? You still there?". Katie had already hung up.

She ran upstairs and banged on her room's door, "Come out or else!". Mertle slowly went to the door and opened it. "The toon hospital has just called", said Katie. Mertle just frowned in anger and shut the door in her face. What could Katie do there? She sighed and went back downstairs.
