A/N: Hey guys! I've deleted this story to edit and rewrite because I wasn't happy with how it had turned out so far. I'm trying to edit it to the best of my ability, so I hope it works out. I will not be able to post on a scheduled timeline, or post as often as I would like, but I will be able to post a chapter at least once every week or two! So, with that, I hope you like the rewritten chapters!

Also, the set time frame for this is late April, and by the end of the chapter it's early June.

It was a normal day in Gravity Falls. Well, as normal as one could hope for in a supernatural-infested town in the middle of the forest. In this town, there were strange beings, even stranger than the freak of nature most label as "platypuses". Strange like... a Plaidypus. These creatures were confined in a weirdness bubble that surrounded the town, keeping some things in and other things out. What are these other things that aren't allowed in, you may ask? That's the thing, no one knows, they're just not allowed in.

Things like humans, and 'normal' animals - such as rabbits or deer - are allowed to enter and leave as they please. But, while they can leave, gnomes, fairies, and the like cannot because of said bubble. No one dared ask why the force-field was there, and no one dared ask who had put it there. They just went on with their day-to-day lives and focused on other things. But, not the Pines' family. The Pines' consisted of two sets of twins. The older of the pairs lived in Gravity Falls most of their lives, while the younger pair visited every summer. This year was different. The younger twins were finally old enough to live on their own and reside in Gravity Falls theirselves. They still had college to go through, so moving closer to the Gravity Falls University was a good thing.

Dipper Pines and his twin sister, Mabel, were nineteen, almost twenty by the end of August. They had begged their parents to let them stay in Gravity Falls with their "Grunkles" (their parents didn't exactly know the meaning of the word) since they were thirteen.

It was almost time for them to leave, and the younger male Pines' twin was triple-checking everything they had packed.

"Clothes?" He asked, reading off a list made by himself and clicking a pen in the meanwhile, a habit he had yet to break.

"Yep!" his female counter part replied cheekily.

"Okay, what about all of your scrapbooking materials?"

"Got them, too!" Mabel comfirmed, rummaging around in a filled backpack. "Or, at least, I think I do..." the girl murmured, flipping its contents upside-down. "Oh, wait, they're in my suitcase!"

"So, mark it off as complete?"

"Yeah," she affirmed. The twins went down the list, crossing off what they had packed in black ink, and retrieving the items they had yet to grab. Once the list was checked one final time, the twins gathered their things and set out to the car. Their parents said they would take them to the bus stop, but that after that they'd be left on their own.

The bus ride was fairly quiet, besides the small-talk about who might be waiting for them once they arrived. Hours after they had gotten on, the blue bus arrived at its destination. Awaiting them were Grunkle Stan and Great-uncle Ford, Wendy, Robbie, Pacifica, Soos, and Candy and Grenda. Dipper had given up his crush on Wendy, but it was still kind of weird for Robbie to be there. But you had to give the guy credit, he had changed, and was better than before. Saying their "hello"s and "welcome back"s, both sets of twins hopped into the Stanmobile and drove back to the shack that had always held a special place in all four of their hearts.

They wasted no time in unpacking their stuff and settling in. As Mabel and Dipper got older they realized sharing a room was weird, so they calmly figured out who should be given what room, instead of breaking out into an all-out war like last time (or at least, it had felt like a war to them). Dipper was given the room in the attic while his sister got the one with the Electron Carpet, a.k.a Experiment #78. The carpet was long gone by now, and replaced by one of Mabel's glitter covered ones. For the rest of the day the Pines' family caught up on months of not seeing each other. Mabel and Dipper found out that the Stans had been planning on going on another adventure to another place very similar to Gravity Falls. The younger twins were able to convince them to go on their trip the following week. Mabel's plea was that she could have her friends over for a "welcome back slumber party", while Dipper's was just that he could explore new parts of the forest. (Even though he had already seen nearly every part of the woods, he was sure he could find somewhere else to explore.)

The older Pines' agreed, but with the stipulations of someone running the shop with Soos while they were away. They all agreed to the terms and helped pack for the trip. A week later the Stan twins set off to Alaska, (I don't know why I chose Alaska to be honest), leaving the others by themselves.

A few Saturdays after his Grunkle's left, Dipper had decided to set out to the forest near the neighboring town. He had not been near there often because he thought it was too close to the other town, Boring, Oregon. True, there were miles between Gravity Falls and the other town, but he had always thought there couldn't be much in a town named "Boring". But he found he was wrong, and it turned out to be no ordinary Saturday for the boy. No, this Saturday was something that should never have happened.

Something told Dipper he wouldn't like what he found, but he pushed the thoughts down and ignored them. With a backpack full of supplies and his new journal in tow, Dipper set out to the southwest side of the forest.

He really should have listed to the voice...

No amount of books or self-defense classes could ever prepare him for what he would face next... Or, should I say... Who?
