What was suppose to be a quick job became a huge trouble. In the middle of the tidiness, Yang, with her gorilla way of be, had the feat of break two stem that sustained one of the beds. Despite being raised in a farm, dealing with manual things where not her best skill, only except with herr bike, but Bumblebee, that was the name she called her bike, was a monster that even Ruby had the difficulty to deal with it, and she was a genius with this kind of a thing.

"Great, now we have two less beds!" exclaimed Weiss while turn herself to the girls "You all know that i will not sleep on the floor!"

"You really could help, isn´t your majesty!?" Complaining Yang.

"In my defense i never had done this kind of thing in my life, so i decided to not get involved on this to not disturb, albeit, if i had some previous experience, at least i would have the competence to not break the bed support!" said Weiss while point her finger to the mess.

"You are really spoiled, aren´t you? You don´t want help and still want to hint." said Blake, which in turn, had helped Ruby to build the other bed.

"Listen here.."

"Hey, enough!" exclaimed Ruby intervene in the middle of the three "I took a look, the bunkbed was old, simple as that. With Yang stirring or not, it would break one hour. Better now than on top of us, don´t you think?"

"Well, i suppose..." Weiss said, calmer now.

"Great. We don´t have the money to buy a new bunkbed, so we have to improvise with what we have! Yang, you still have that screw box that papa had gave to you?"

"Yes, i have." she responded.

"Good! I'm going to the supply store to buy some utensils, could you go to uncle Qrow house take his drilling machine?, Oh, if you can, bring the electric saw to! We´ll gonna do a huge noise, but at the end of the day, we will have the most secure bunkbed in the world!"

"And what we both do?" Blake said while pointed to her and also Weiss.

"You come with us of curse! Blake, you can come with Yang on her bike while Weiss come with me and do some shopping!" she exclaimed very happily.

"Then that´s it!" said Yang while dragged Blake to outside "Come on Blakey, i will show you how Fast and Furious you can be in this city!"

With wide eyes on her face, Blake, while was be dragged, said:

"Please, if i die in a car crash, ask for write in my tombstone that Yang jokes are horrible."

"You get used, hehehe! See you soon!" said Ruby while give a little bye-bye.

"Well, and us?" asked Weiss.

Before anything could be said, Ruby with a stupendous speed hugged her from behind with so much strength that even made Weiss scared, she exploded.

"WeWillWalkbyTheStreetDoSomeShoppingPintournailsTalkAboutcuteboysandbeBFFS!"Ruby exploded at once, leaving Weiss dumbfounded. If at one side Ruby was very methodic in deal with manual things, at the other hand, she was extremely juvenile and that made the young one with platinum hair have a headache. But don´t have another option, all she could do was saying:

"cAn't WaiT fOR iT!" she said while her face crack by hers forced expression.

For Blake´s surprise, Yang didn´t drive so fast as she was expecting. Despite the joke 'ala Dominic Toretto', she drives her bike like a 'good boy scout'. She respected the traffic signs and even refused to pass at yellow sign even when didn´t had anyone on the other side to cause an accident.

It didn´t take a while and they parked at a house, which modesty aside, was not very good despite it´s great size. At it´s front, in what´s to seemed to be a garage, was a truck all scratched up with traces of mud and with pieces that seemed rust, in other words, it was a miracle that it was still standing.

"So Blake, ready to know my uncle?" asked Yang with a smile on her face.

"He is someone i need to prepare myself to meet him?" Blake asked with an eyebrow lifted.

"Err, no. But a lot people think he is weird, you know, despite living in a city he seems to be someone that never left the countryside. Let´s say that smell of the bush hardly leaves him. And, you don´t need to be in the defensive if he flirts with you. If you say no, he will not insist. He likes to pose as a badass machoman, but he is a gentleman at heart, only refuse to admit."

"Alright..."

Instructions given, Yang parked her motorcycle and went to the door, after that, she pressed the handbell and screamed at the top of her lungs:

"Hey old man, are you inside!?"

"Old is your Dad, that limp dick! And i'am here at back!"

Skirting at the side of the house and passing in what to seemed to be a corridor, Yang and Blake went to the back of the house were they saw a man in shorts and with white sandals, but with some kind of Hawaiian shirt, one of those very red, turning steaks of meat, chicken and fish over the rack of a roasting pan.

"Already so soon? I thought you would spend the rest of your day doing girl stuff or something like that." he commented while putted a transparent drink on a cup with ice and lemon "Anyway, what do you need?"

"We need the drill and the electric saw." responded Yang "One of our bunkbeds broke and Ruby already made a super plan to build a new one."

Chuckling briefly, he responded:

"Already arrived and making art, oh, oh...that girl never change. Anyway, who is your friend?"

"One of my roommates. Blake, uncle Qrow, uncle Qrow, Blake."

Looking at her with a brown eyes that almost verged on scarlet, Qrow studied the girl to down and top and said:

"By chance you have any relation to a man called Ghira Belladona?"

Surprised, but also embarrassed, Blake responded:

"Y-yes."

"I knew i recognized this look from somewhere, and believe me, i never forget look of anyone i have met. It´s been a long time, but i remember that he brought you at the base to meet the people when you were very young. You have the same feline eye as him, you know? Always looking at everywhere, analyzing everything. He was a great teammate, strong as a bear, but also kind as a puppy. How he is doing right now?"

"I don´t know. Has been a long time that i don´t talk with my dad." Blake responded with a monotone tone, which let the mood a little down.

"Hey, don´t worry, i will not ask you about the things of the past. Family is complicated. I really know." He commented while taking a sip from your drink and said an 'Aaaah' in relive way "Anyway, the tools are on the back of the garage, you will find easy."

"Right, thanks for the tip uncle!" Yang said " Let´s go Blake..."

"Wow, arrive like this and doesn´t ask for blessing? Why both of you don´t stay for the lunch? That way you prevent me to waste this pile of food that is almost expiring."

Initially, both Yang and Blake considered turning down, but their stomach betrayed them. Yang had waked up so early to clean the room, therefore, she didn´t eat anything and Blake, well, despite had eat her breakfast at Ozpin house before went to the dorm, she had to buy a lot of thing´s in a short period of time, because of that, she had to walk and run. In other words, she was also starving.

"Well, wasting this salmon steak would be a crime. Wouldn´t it?" Blake said, visibly, with her mouthwatering.

"That is it kitty, serve yourself! The uncle Qrow here prepares a sashimi like no one!" He said while was get ready to serve both, which in turn, they were already seated at the table that was there.

Now it was official, Weiss didn´t understand how Ruby had so much energy. By the brief talk they had, Ruby had arrived in Austin on that morning after spent a whole day of travel, and despite that, she walked at everywhere talking how there was many things to see, and how there was so many things to do and sleep was the last thing on the list.

"Weiss, Weiss!" Ruby called.

"What is, Ruby?" she asked with a tired face.

"Look at this!" she commented while wear a pair of gloves that had the format of claws that was at the balcony of the shop and made a scary face, or at least, tried "I am a big bad wolf and i will eat you! Raaaau!"

"Ruby, you are making a scene!" said the platinum blonde dead of embarrassment while pointed to some people that were laughing at them.

"Hehehe, sorry..."

"Dolt..."

After putting the gloves back in place, Ruby and Weiss continues to walk through the Walmart and were putting in the cart everything they needed. Weiss saw Ruby choose methodically every tool of construction, despite how simple it was, Ruby quickly explained how that item would make it´s role on the diagram of her new super bed.

"You seems to know a lot about construction. Do you will study architecture or engineering?" Weiss asked.

"Yes, but not the engineering you think." Ruby said while put a great quantity of meters of rope in the trolley "I will study war engineering."

"War engineering? You don´t seem to be the kind of girl that would get interested in this kind of thing."

"Hehehe, you are not the first to say that to me. But it´s okay, just know that i'm very interested in this kind of thing and i am very good at shooting! I already shoot with .50 rifle long before doing fifteen!

"That...ok i admit, i´m impress."

"And you?" Ruby asked with curiosity ".. Yang was all the time calling you princess. Do you really are a princess?"

"No, i'am not." Weiss responded quickly with a very angry face, but when she saw the innocent look on Ruby face and a real interest on her question, she explained more calmly "Although my family have a noble tittle which comes from a lineage of douches and archduchies, we are not from royalty."

"Wow, so you are kind like, super important, isn´t? But wait, if you are super important how did you end up here, literally, in the middle of nowhere?"

"It´s...a long history. But to resume, i wanted to know a different place without being watched and being busy all the time. I wanted to breath some fresh air before i had to lock myself for the rest of my life with bureaucracy rules and politics." Weiss commented as she breathily heavy "But anyway, this is everything we need?"

Ruby looked at the trolled and said:

"Yes, let´s eat something before went back to the doorm?

"Don´t you want to call you sister to see if she want´s something?"

"Nah, it´s lunch time. And besides, she went to uncle Qrow house, she must already get some grub there!"

"If you say..."

"You were not exactly the person who i think you are." Blake said while escorted Yang to her motorcycle. After lunch and talked about many things, most precisely about the shy stories of Yang's youth, and plus, of Ruby to, they gave their farewell to the man and treated their walk to went back to the dorm "And your uncle didn´t seems to be that player you sold me."

"Nah, you were just luck to catch him on a good day. Believe in me on that. But anyway, what do you mean i am not someone who you think i were?" Yang said while throwing the helmet to Blake, which caught with skill.

"Nice catch." the blond praised.

"Thanks, i guess." commented Blake while looked between the helmet and Yang while being embarrassed about what was about said "And well, i know this will sound stupid and out of nowhere, but please, respond...you walked at everywhere doing this badass person pose, but you also are friendly and gentle with everyone. Why?"

"Why? I can´t a be badass and also good person?"

"It´s not that, it is because...i knew someone that liked to pose as a tough guy to, even when everything went wrong, his reason i understood, but what is yours reasons?"

"Well, i don´t have a specific reason just..." the blond pondered a little about her past experiences and replied "...i just refuse to let myself down. Of course, before i had Ruby to taking care of when we were much younger, and has uncle Qrow said, we went trough a lot shit. But now i have a life to live, a life that i literally have to fight to put the bread on the table, so that is it. I refuse to be weak, and i refuse to let anyone take advantage of me."

"I admire your mentality. Truly, i really wish i was strong like you." she commented a little crestfallen.

"Want to take something out of you chest?" Yang asked with a soft voice, which made Blake tremble, because yeah, she wanted to take something out of her chest.

"It wasn´t too long ago that i got in trouble, and it was a heavy thing involving people with guns and all. My boyfriend, he...was killed, and i almost die with him. If i didn´t had the lucky to found professor Ozpin in the middle of the road, my body would had become meat to the coyotes and vultures. I'm still processing all of this and...i am afraid to be alone."

Before she noticed, tears was falling from Blake´s face. Remember that traumatic situation left a mark on her soul. Seeing the situation of the girl, Yang approached and hugged her. Because had experience in deal with sad people, well, she knew exactly how to comfort her.

"Look, we barely know each other, but i know one thing. Not me, not even Ruby, will leave you alone. Weiss maybe a pain in the ass, but Ruby will put some sugar in her personality. She is too sweet for that" tightening her hug, Yang continues "We will live together for a while, so we will be family. And if there is one thing that my father had teach me, it there is nothing stronger than family."

Dipping your face on the chest of the blond, Blake cried a little more before processed everything that had being said and said herself:

"Thanks, Yang."

Moving away a little, Yang responded:

"We are here for that, but let´s go, Ruby must been waiting for us."

After all four had their adventures, they decide to reunite at the dorm. And Ruby, lively as always, became ready to roll up her sleeves. With the saw that Yang had been brought, and with the box tool that she had buyed, she had the feat of create a bed suspended by ropes very fixed at the roof of the room. It took an entire afternoon and part of the night, but with a wheel and pulley scheme, Ruby showed to their roommates the new improvised bunkbed.

"Ladys, i present to yourselves the most secure bunked build in the dormitory of Vale!"

Despite recognizing that Ruby made a good job with that tool box, Weiss wasn´t totally sure of the bed, especially when it creaked in a strange way after the end of her talk.

"I still not convinced." said the young with platinum hair.

"So, let´s get the real proof!" and with that, Ruby threw herself onto the hanging bed, but instead of Weiss find a botched done damage of a broken bed, she sowed Ruby playing like real happy child in a compete stable bed.

"It seems i'am dreaming, unbeliableve!" Weiss commented as she moved the bed seeing if it was really steady.

"Say Weiss, i am incredible, aren´t i?" said Ruby with a smile on her face.

"Hunf, i expect nothing less from someone who's going to share the room with me." she said in a pretentious way, but her smile delivered that she wasn´t being evil. Well, not totally.

"So girls. What we gonna do to celebrate our first night togheter? I know we are tired, but we also need to celebrate!" Yang said.

"Movies?"Ruby said

"I would like to taste the american pizza. I want to see if it honors the tradition of origin country." said Weiss excited.

"Ice cream?" Blake asked.

"Okay, why not all at once?" said Yang while she got her phone and made a call at one of the numbers of list. "Oi, vomit boy, i want to make a order on that pizzeria you work. Uhum, but also i you need you to pass at convenience store to buy ice cream pots to me and the girls, that's why i'm calling you. And yes, relax, i will pay that generous tip of always, i am a good client, aren´t i? Perhaps i can even give you a kiss, as extra of extra, what do you think, hun?~"

There was a awkward silence for a moment, but soon the voice that was at the phone screamed a THIS IS NOT FUNNY YANG! louder enough to everyone hear it. Yang after couldn´t hold the laughter respond:

"Don´t worry little man, someday a girl will make you happy. Just control that virgin aura of yours and you will finally get it, but anyway, don´t be late with the order! I will send you the list by zap!" And with this she turn off the phone, which let the other girls curious.

"What a hell was that?" asked Weiss.

"It was just Jaune, and don´t worry, he is a friend. He is kinda the boy scout of the dorm, always help everyone here. He is a good guy, but he is bad with girls. He does some really awfully serenades and all that crap that only works in bad teenage movies." Yang explained "But talking about movie, what we gonna watch?"

"THE NEW MAD MAX! Vrum! Vrum!" Ruby exclaimed hapily "I get a digital copy of the movie, but i didn´t watch yet."

"Isn´t that movie with Tom hardy?" Weiss asked curious.

"You are also a fan of Mad Max!?" Ruby asked excited.

"No, but i went to a event in London were the movie was being exhibited early to some journalists and special inviters. I didn´t watch it because i was to busy preparing myself to the concert, but i met the actor who played the protagonist."

"You are lying..."

"I not a person to lying, Ruby. And despite the frown, Tom Hardy is a very pleased person to talk to, and he likes dogs a lot!"

"Wow, thanks for reminds us that you are a nasty bougeoirs Weiss!" Yang mocked with a devilsh smile on her face. Fortunately, the humor on the speech was noticed and Weiss didn´t care respond in the same tone.

"Hunf, i really am! And if you treat me with the respect i deserve, maybe i´ll bail you out of the prison when you get arrested again!"

HAHAHAHAHA! All of the four laughs at that passive-aggressive humorous response. Even the stoic Blake. Indeed, the first night of dorm RWBY would be a good pajama night.
