Yang is gonna kill me
"Arff.." Jaune sighed in a tired way. Damned be the day he got sick and threw up on Yang's shoes
"It was Yang again, wasn´t?" Asked the asian guy that was at your side, he drinks a huge cup of milkshake while carried a lot of shopping bags "You should stand up against her, you know?"
"The same way you stand up against Nora, Ren?" Replied the blond with a smile on his face.
The young man pondered about what just heard, made a ugly face, and retorted:
"That was low blow."
"It doesn´t stop being true" Said Jaune while shrugging.
"Yeah, you right."
Both laugh briefly and soon one of the employees of pizzeria of 'El Sabore' comes and gives the pizzas that Yang had ordered for Jaune. The blond gives his thanks and left the payment, after that, he put the pizza on the delivery bag and turn to Ren and said:
"Well, now the only left is the ice cream. But about you? Just came here to say hello or will accompany me to the dorm?"
"Just to say hi. I still have to go to Port gym to pick up Nora, i promised take her on that new steakhouse that openend." Ren said with a visible look of sadness on his face, which usually was always calm "I fear for my economies."
"I feel your pain." Jaune responded while feigned a exaggerated expression of sorrow. "Anyway, see you later."
"See you."
After both saying goodbye, Jaune took his bike and started to follow his path to Vale dorm. Fortunately, there was a convenience store very close to the dorm, so the way back to home wouldn´t have any curves. But, to his bad luck, the sky started to sprinkle raindrops, if he didn´t accelerate his walk, he would get a good shower.
Stop at that store, Jaune parked his bike on the grid that was at outside and went inside. Inside of it, he saw a cute figure that receive him with a big smile on her face.
"Hello, Jaune!" The girl with brown hair and eyes of the same color said to him. Her olive-green uniform, despite being of an antagonistic color of the huge rabbit hears that was at the top of her head, complemented each other a lot.
"The rabbit ears are really necessary, Vel?" Jaune asked while picked up some ice cream pots inside of the freezer that was near and went to the cashier.
"No, but if combines with the uniform, why not use?" Velvet responded in an innocent way.
"Your girlfriend corrupted you with her crazy fashion sense." The blond said as picked his wallet "How much cost?"
"Twenty dollars everything, and no, Coco is not my girlfriend, oh my God! Why everyone say that!?" She respond very puffy while received Jaune´s money and already gave the change.
"Because she´s slap your ass in public and you don´t even complain?"
"She also slaped Fox and Yatsuhashi butt to, so this is also mean that she sleep with them? Huh?!"
"Look, modern world, no one would complaining..." Said Jaune with a small chuckle "And besides, you all are a strange group, i don´t even know how Goodwitch let you stay in the same room..."
"The same way you, Ren and Nora sleep togheter and nobody says anything!" Velvet retorted again.
"We are brothers, not of blood, but we grow in the same house! We have a very plausible excuse! And you!?"
"We've been together since kindergarten! We are practically family!"
"Family don´t stare one another the same way you stare to Yatsuhashi when he comes all sweaty from the gym." Jaune joked.
"I, err, i don´t lok Yatsuhashi that way!" She exclaimed all blushed.
"I believe in you Vel, i really do. Anyway, i'm going. See you later!"
Even embarrassed, the girl said goodbye to Jaune with a brief wave:
"See you!" She said.
As Jaune leaved the store, he saw that the sky wasn´t at the best conditions, and the rain already falls heavy. And since he didn´t count with rain for today, his raincoat stayed at the dorm. Sighing, he went back to the store with the intention to buy a new umbrella, but, Velvet said that he shouldn´t be worried and borrow hers. It was a brown umbrella with pictures of rabbit, if it wasn´t by the accessories hanging on the cable, you could say that it´s was a common umbrella not a feminine one. But what did matter, it would make Jaune arrive dry in home and that was enough.
It didn´t take long and he was at the street of the dormitory. Juts a few more blocks and he would be at home, although, while he follow trough the streets one figure attracted his attention. The figure in question was a ginger girl, no, not ginger, ginger is what Nora is. Different from your sister, she had a completely crimson hair and a very emerald sharp and thoughtful eyes, and your gym clothes were totally soaked and she was tremble with cold.
Jaune couldn´t bear see that scene, sighing, he was already think on the "scolding" that he would take for being late with Yang´s order, but, what was a bit of joke compared to a action of doing the right thing? Approaching the girl, he positioned the bike on his left side while offered cover with the umbrella with his right side.
"Hey, want a ride?" He said in a very warmful tone.
The semblance of the girl, which before was very serious, softened enough to expressing doubt, but yet, she kept her doubtful gaze towards the blond.
"No, thank you, i´m fine." She respond in a formal tone, but Jaune noticed it was a plastic tone which had any true emotion behind what said.
"Look, i know that is really weird an strange come and offer help, but i seeing that you really need some, well…help. My name is Jaune Arc, short, cute, and rolls with the tongue and girls love it. I live on the dormitory of Beacon University, which is right over there on front, so don´t worry, i will not rob you or something like that." he said with honesty "But so, you live near here?"
The girl looked at Jaune with a very incredulous look, like she wasn´t believed what she had heard, and after she processed everything, she couldn´t contain the laugh.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!"
Embarrassed by the unexpected reaction, Jaune just stood there for a while waiting for the girl with crimson catch her breath, and when she recovered, she responded:
"I´m sorry, it´s, i wasn´t expecting this hitting so...ridicolous?" She said with a doubtful tone on her voice, but not in a bad way.
"It´s not hitting, it´s the truth! My mom always said that my name was easy to say, and all of her friend´s said that liked!" Retorted a embarrassed Jaune.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"
"Great, and here she comes with the laugh again, ha, ha, ha"
"I´m sorry, seriously, i wasn´t expecting this kind of atitude. Truly, i´m sorry." recovering the posture, she turn to Jaune and present herself "Pyrrha Nikos, nice to meet you."
With a quickly movement, Pyrrha moved to get close with Jaune and grab him by the arm, more precisely, by the arm that him was using as support to umbrella. Swalloing hard, the young man made the possible to not look down and face the wet bust of the crimson redhead. As much his hormones said to him that he should look, he searched harder his inner white knight and said:
"Well, i think with this you accept my ride, right?"
"Yes. But this will disturb you? You said that you dorm was over there, and i live very far from here." She responded with a very formal tone, despite the proximity.
Jaune looked at Pyrrha, after looked to the road of dorm, and after that looked again to the girl and said:
"I offered help, and an Arc never goes back with his word. Were you live?"
"Well, at the other side of the city." Pyrrha responded in a simple way, but with a very playful tone.
"As i said..." Jaune said sweating cold "...an Arc never goes back with his world."
With a small chuckle in her face, Pyrrha faced the boy for a more brief moment and said:
"Look, you don´t need follow me until my home. Just let me at some subway station and from there i will follow my way."
"Alright, so… shall we?"
"Yes." She nodded while hold firmly jaune´s arm. And if there was one thing that Jaune noticed, beside the very large bust, was that Pyrrha had a very Strong grip. If wasn´t by the long thin fingers, Jaune could swear that was a man squeezing your arm. But anyway, thought´s apart, both followed through the street´s in silence. It wasn´t like the were embarrassed of being there, but the questions didn´t come.
'Were you from? What is your course? What are you doing on the other side of the city?' The most basic questions that Jaune could ask he didn´t, why he didn´t asked? Because it was only not that he only noticed that he was sharing a umbrella with a very beautiful girl. He brain was at automatic mode, and his face was all red by embarrassment.
"Is everything alright?" Asked Pyrrha noticing his nervousness.
"It is, i just, argh…it´s nonsense."
"Well, still left some squares toward the station. So, if you want to talk, i´m willing to listen." Pyrrah said in a warm way.
Sighing, Jaune spoke:
"Ok, i did the thing again, i mean, this story of saying that my name is okay and the girls like, it was just so automatic that i didn´t even noticed i was make myself a idiot again. I´m sorry." The blond talked with a very low tone "Is that, well, my mom always cheered me up you know? Since my dad got injured on the war, i kinda became the prince of the house, so i grew up with a lot pampering. I grew deluded and overprotected, you know? Believing that each word that my mother said was true, and well, since i decided follow with my own life, i saw that mama advice didn´t work very often. I made myself a idiot on the dormitory, made serenades to every girl that i think they had give me a chance, and well…i´m boring you, isn´t? What kind of girl would stop and listened the problems of a man child like me...
"I'm not bored Jaune." Pyrrah said very politely "I´m just surprised, you were acting all confident back there, and now became all depressed. I mean, i understand your problem, because i have a similar one."
The girl with crimson hair seeing that had the attention of the blond to her, continues:
"My parents were Olympic athletes. My father was a wrestler, and my mother a gymnast, so since i was little i was raised with big expectations about my sports career. I got interested on the sport of my dad, actually, i fell in love with it and became very good at it. But for being the golden girl that he always took care of it, loved it and trained, i ended up moving away from people of my age. I wasted the opportunity to have friends because they interfered with my train. I…in the persuit of become a very good athlete, moved away from those i cared, or i could care. And that hurt me, because, it was the only thing i knew what to do. Train."
Jaune didn´t know what to respond, he saw the pain in Pyrrha´s voice, the pain of the loneliness. For a brief moment, both stayed in silence until the blond finally said:
"Wow, suddenly i being a idiot became a very lesser thing..."
"I´m sorry, it wasn´t my intention to lessen you problems." Pyrrha said with a gilt tone on her voice.
"Relax Pyrrah, i get it. And, i´m happy for trust that on me. It mustn't have been easy hide this felling for so long".
"I say the same, i know it must be hard to hear that anyone are not take you seriously because of all mannerisms that your mother had passed to you. I´m glad hear you."
Both smiled and walked a little more, it didn´t take it long and Jaune and Pyrrha already had arrived at the station. The rain still falls heavy at the outside, and Pyrrha, well, already was with cold, even on the subway were everything should be more muffled. Noticing that, Jaune put his bike aside with his delivered bag and took off his sweatshirt and offered to Pyrrah.
"Here, it´s not much, by will impede you catch hypothermia before get home."
"Jaune, i can not accept your sweatshirt." She responded.
"I´m not giving my sweatshirt, i´m lending it.." He responded with a smile "Show yourself up at the dorm when you have time, me and my brothers can hang with you to somewhere, get some fun, you know? Just don´t be surprised by Nora's behavior, she can be clueless, but she intent no harm."
With a big smile on her face, Pyrrah responded:
"I would love it." Accepting the sweatshirt she looked at the logo and respond "Do you like the cereal of this brand, the Pumpkin Pete?"
"No, i don´t like, but the sweatshirt if comfy, i gained in one sale promotion that had in one supermarket. I´m still use it because of the memory´s, you know? Me and my sister´s at the campfire, camping...were great moments."
"I understand, well, thanks anyway! I will wash when i came to visit you and.."
"What´s it?" Jaune asked.
"The batery of my cellphone ended, and i still didn´t decorated my new number, so i don´t know how i can get contact with you." She said in a sad tone.
"Don´t worry. Next week the class will start, so we will not have so much free time, but...show yourself up at the next Saturday at 6 pm. Which is when we will make our first celebrate party. About the address? Don´t worry, you found the Beacon University, you found the Vale Dormitory. It will be awsome!
"I get it." Pyrrha respond as she offered her hand "Thanks for sharing the umbrella, Jaune."
"Equally." He said as he shake it "Until next Saturday Pyrrah!"
"Until then!"
Jaune said goodbye to the girl with crimson hair with a warm wave while she walked by the subway halls. Despite the strange way of how everything unrolled, the blond was happy to have meet her. Pyrrah seemed to be a very nice person. While he pondered about what happened, his cellphone vibrated, and when he tooked your device to see the reason of such noise, he noticed a series of spams with furious emoji of Yang.
"Whops..."
"I hope you have a good reason to explain your delay, if not, besides being without tip, you will receive a punch on the stomach." Yang commented in a very irritated way while snapped the phalanges of her fingers.
"Err, well, there was a girl..."
Before jaune could even react, Yang stood up to her words and delivered a punch on the blond that made him lean on the nearest wall moaning in pain.
"But, i, arrgh...i didn´t even let me finish!" Exclaimed Jaune.
"You didn´t need it, you delayed my pizza and my ice cream because you wanted to play the White Knight toward some girl in the rain, go it right?"
Jaune thought in retort, but however he tried to say 'it wasn´t like that', every detail of the history he could explain, more details would match with Yang´s conclusion, so everything he said was:
"Well, you a right..."
Yang, despite the punch and the brave pose, sighed and took the Money she had promised to Jaune and give to him:
"Look, i know you are a big boy, but it´s not playing the role of simp that you will get some girl´s attention."
Taking the Money, he heard what Yang said and analyzed the dorm in the background. As they both were in the region that would be the entrance of the room, he had difficult to see the other people that were there, but still, he saw the figure of another girl with long black hair stacking a series of books in a shelf, also other girl that was also there, seemed to be younger, not only because of her size, but also because of her cheerful and juvenile way of behave. She looked towards the image of projector wich was on the wall, like she didn´t bear waiting to keep watching...
"Hey, this is the new Mad Max? That´s cool!" Jaune said.
Listening the talk of the blond, Ruby jumped out of her bed and went toward´s the door saying:
"You also like Mad Max!?" She asked with a glimmer on her eyes
"Yes, my dad watched the old movies and i watched with him. Mel Gibson made the movie works, that´s for sure." Jaune responded very happily.
"What other movies you did watch?" Ruby asked.
"Try a reference, let´s see if i can guess." Said the blond with his arms crossed in a very confident way.
"Well, this is were the fun begins." Ruby said smiling.
"Already beginning with Star Wars? Don´t push your luck padawan, i have the high ground here!"
"It´s a surprise, sure, but a welcome one! But don´t underestimate my power!" Ruby retorted while give him the tongue
"We all now how this history ends, after that, don´t go saying that you don´t like sand!"
"It´s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere! Bruggghh!" Ruby said while pretended to tremble herself all over.
"Seriously, you guys are geeking out in front of me!?" Yang exclaimed while saw your sister interact with Jaune in a way that she wasn´t expecting to happen.
"Jedi business, go back to your drinks!" Ruby exclaimed in a very bossy way, or at least the most bossy way your cute voice allowed.
"But I'am not drinking anything! Urgh, just give me the pizza and the ice cream!" Yang said while turn Jaune to his back and opened his delivery bag, taking the pizza and the ice cream that was inside without ask boys permission.
"She can not do that, shoot her or something!" Jaune dramatized while offered no resistance to Yang attitude.
"No, enough with this nerd attitude! I already give you Money, now sho, go Away!" Yang said while gradually expelled Jaune from the room
"I just went to the bathroom for a while and suddenly my room turned into a mess, did this become a madhouse!?"
Turn himself to see the owner of the fourth voice, Jaune jaw dropped. Even with a simple blue pajama and being careless with her makeover, Weiss with her light blue eyes and pale skin, even if it was irritated, still transpired an beauty that didn´t seemed to exist in real world, and that, catch the attention of the young delivery.
With a face of few friends, Weiss turn herself to Yang a said:
"Yang, you like to brag about being a fighter, so please, put all this gorilla muscles for work and put this duchebag out of my way?"
"Hey, wait...Yang, you didn´t even present your roommates, they are new here, are they?"
"Urgh, yes, but i don´t have the patient to see you embarrassing yourself again. Seriously vomit boy, shosho, you are ruining the girl´s night."
Seeing that the four girls were watching him anxious hoping that read the mood, Jaune singing and said:
"Ok, fine. Get fun girl. And you are..."
"Ruby, Yang´s sister." Said the younger, the one that as exchange references with him "I´d like you watched the movie with us , but they don´t want the company."
"We speak another time then, i literally live on the dorm at side, if you need anything, just knock the door. See you later then..."
"See you!" Ruby said with a brief wave.
And with that farewell Yang closed the door, the four looked at each other and stayed in silence about what to say, it was when Weiss with a smile finally said:
"I love democracy, i love the republic."
