I am having such a shitty writing day! I was on a roll, i was. Getting 1-3 Chapters done, but iv been sat on chapter 51 all day, and iv only done 4 paragrahs (300 words..) Not even half way through.. So, There will probably be no update tomorrow to give myself some time to try and get something done.

Chapter 47: Joyday

Mildred knew she shouldn't lie to Hecate.. She was told not to before.. But, it was really only a white lie, and she was doing it for Hecate! Mildred said she was going to see her friends.. Was it strange if she referred to Miss Cackle as a friend?

Either way, She found herself knocking on Miss Ada Cackle's door.. She heard a noise from the otherside, but no response. She slowly opened the door, finding miss cackle fussing over some spilt tea. "Miss Cackle?"

She looked up at Mildred. "Oh, Mildred. They always say don't cry over spilt milk, But they never say what to do if it's Tea…" She waved her hand, the tea disappearing in a moment. "How may I help you?"

Mildred slowly closed the door. Walking closer to Miss Cackle. "I was thinking.. In light of Miss Broomhead.. I think we should say thank you to Hecate. For, not turning out like that, while still keeping us in cheek.."

Miss Cackle smiled widely. "That's very thoughtful of you, Mildred. You know.." She thinks for a moment as she stands and walks to her calendar. "Hecate's Birthdays in just a few days.. The Nineteenth."

That was so soon, Only a week away! They'd have to get planning pronto. "I think… I have a plan… But I'm going to need your help." Mildred grinned that evil grin. Together they came up with a plan that Mildred felt would perfectly fit Hecate.. The next part was getting everyone else involved.

Mildred knew in order to do this, she'd need to keep a lot from Hecate, something she knew she hated. But She also knew she wanted Hecate to know how appreciated she was by the Students of Cackles. Plan HB Appreciation Birthday was a go! Code name.. Joyday. That sounded fitting for it.

Joyday Step One: Miss Cackle - Complete

If Mildred was going to do anything, She'd need them on board. She finally did what she was going to do, go and see her friends. She Found them in the tower, talking to one another on Maud's bed.

"Hey Milli-" Enid started, only to get cut off by Mildred.

"No time for small talk, I'm a girl on a mission!" Mildred jumped on the bed, startling her friends and making them laugh. "Enid, Do you remember what you said to Hecate earlier? About having her as our teacher?"

Enid thought for a moment before repeating her earlier words "If it's any consolation.. I'm glad we have you and not Miss Broomhead…?"

Mildred nodded. "Exactly.."

"I think we all felt that after hearing the screaming Miss Broomhead did at you.. All because of Ethel too.." Maud shook her head slightly.

"Miss Hardbroom.. Is like…" She remembered how she felt that worst week living with her. "A Beam in the middle of a room.. It may be in the way sometimes.. But it's needed for support and to keep everything from crumbling…"

Enid and Maud nodded, even with the issues of the past, they could see Mildreds Point. "I'm starting.. Operation Joyday. Miss Cackle does so much for us, and we celebrate her Birthday every year.. But, Hecate does a lot for us too.. So, The Nineteenth is Hecate's Birthday.."

"You want us to celebrate it?" Maud asked. "How are we gonna do that, we've never done it before.."

"Hecate's a private person, that's why.. But, I think we can do something that's meaningful, without putting her off.." Mildred explained. "That's why I need you two.. I also plan on Roping in Sybil, Felicity, Bee and Clarice.. Between us, we'll each have our tasks."

"And what's ours?" Enid asked with a smile.

"Enid, I need you Get our Whole year on board. We have her second Lesson that day, Everyone needs to be on their best behaviour. No Explosions, No Excessive Loudness.. You'll need to get everyone to sign a card too. Either to say happy birthday, or to say thank you." Mildred had thought it out, With every year involved, it would run smoothly.

"On it! Ethel will be the hardest one.. But I think if enough of us put the heat on her, she'll do as told." Enid said with a smirk.

"Maud, You need to deal with the Fifth years. They don't have her for lessons that day, But i believe the Cauldron club may be running, and they lead it.. So, they gotta be on their best behaviour too, Hecate's bound to cheek in on them at some point.." Mildred chuckled at that, "And they'll be getting their own cards too.."

"Sure, I can get that all sorted. No worries." Maud informed her.

"Miss Cackles dealing with the teachers.. Tomorrow I'll drop off the Cards, and you two can get to work. We have a week.. But it'll fly…" Mildred knew it would.. Nothing gose faster than when you're rushing around!

Joyday Step Two: Enid and Maud - Complete

Mildred Removed herself from the room, Running downstairs to Sybil's room, thankfully finding the three girls there.

"Hi Mildred!" Sybil greeted the older witch.

"I need you three, and your Secretive skills for a special Mission.." Mildred spoke as she closed the door slowly and walked up to the three girls, leaning on the bed frame.

"What kind of mission?" Beatrice asked.

While Clarice had other concerns "Are you going to get us in trouble?"

Mildred shrugged as she chuckled. Shrugckled if you will. "If everything goes right.. No. You won't get in trouble. Besides, Miss Cackle's also in on it.." Mildred Explained. "Miss Hardbrooms Birthdays on the Nineteenth.. We want to make it a special Occasion.. In light of Miss Broomhead.. She needs to know she's appreciated."

"That sounds like a splendid idea!" Sybil smiled that bright smile, making it easy to Like her, and harder to see how she's a Hallow. "What do you need us to do?"

Mildred Turned to Bee. "I'll want you to help in the Kitchens.. Miss Cackle is gonna make sure Miss Tapioca Behaves, but i'll need you to keep an eye on things. I'm not sure what food we'll need, But i'll let you know in the morning.."

"Do I get to help? Cook the food, I mean.." bee Asked, her face practically lighting up.

"Sure!" Mildred told her in full earnest before turning to Clarice. "I need you to deal with your fellow Third years.. You guys have her first lesson that day, So you all need to be on your best behaviour.. All students will also be required to sign a card.. Either Happy Birthday, or Thank you.. It doesn't matter really.."

"I can do that. It's to be kept a complete secret from Miss Hardbroom?" Clarice asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Yep! Miss Harbroom can not know, not even on the day.." She turned to Sybil now. "I need you to deal with the First years. Same as Clarice. . I think they may have her last lesson.. They need to be the absolute best.. They'll also have a card to sign. I'll bring them to you in the morning."

Sybil nodded "We've got this.. We don't let you down! Thank you for trusting us with this, Mildred.." Sybil reminded Mildred of herself sometimes.. She could make silly mistakes, but her heart was always in the right place..

Joyday Step Three: Sybil and Co - Complete

Mildred felt very uplifted as she left. There was only one year to see settled to now! It was all coming together Nicely! However, That had to wait till after dinner. They sat, they talked, they ate. It seemed so much more joyful now that Miss Broomhead had left. The Hall filled with life and love for their school and fellow students.

Afterwards, Mildred managed to Corner Felicity. "I need your help with a Mission.." Mildred started.

"A Mildred Mission? Tell me more." Felicity's accent bubbled through as she got more intrigued.

"HB's Birthdays on the Nineteenth.. We're doing something nice for her.. I need you to take charge of the Second years." Mildred told her plainly. "Make sure they are all on their best behaviour. I'll also be bringing you a card in the morning for them to sign.. Thank you, or Happy birthday.. Both work." Mildred felt like she was doomed to keep repeating herself!

"I'm on it!" Felicity clapped her hands.

"Oh! And don't put it on your blog.. Not until after the date.." Mildred didn't want any risks. "Miss Hardbroom can not know at all.."

"Don't worry, I'll wait till after the fact.. Not all kindness needs to be flaunted.. Right?" Felicity agreed without any hesitation.

Joyday Step Four: Felicity - Complete

Mildred knew she only had one more step for today.. She needed to speak to Pippa. She was a key factor in it all! After all, no one made Hecate happier. She didn't want to risk Hecate walking in, so instead of waiting for her at the apartment, she went straight to Pippa's classroom.

"Miss Pentangle..?" She called out as she began walking into the room, Pippa stood in her full pink glory turned to look at Mildred.

"Mildred..? Are you alright, Dear?" Pippa asked, leaning on her desk and placing down some paperwork onto the table.

Mildred closed the door and walked closer. "It's.. It's about Hecate" Upon seeing Pippa's face she quickly jumped in. "Nothings wrong, Pippa! I promise.. I need your help for her Birthday.."

Pippa smiled softly. "You know about that then? She refused to tell me when it was for years.. I found out from her brother in our last year here... -after- it passed." She shook her head in fondness. "She doesn't celebrate it.. The closest thing she ever got to a birthday cake as a kid, was pancakes made by her Brother.."

That sounded so sad to Mildred. Her mother always made sure her birthday was the most important time of year, she made it an occasion to remember! The thought of not celebrating it.. Hurt.

"This ones going to be different!" Mildred demanded. "Because she's appreciated.. But I need your help to make this work. I was thinking.." She was doing a lot of that lately. "Maybe you could.. Take her out.. For a picnic or something. She deserves to be happy.. You make her happier than anyone else."

Pippa smirked. "I don't know about that.. I can take her out for a Picnic.. Infact, I'd love nothing more!" So far Mildred had been met with no disagreements from anyone..

"Don't worry about the rest but.. Just.. keep it quiet that it's planned as part of the day.." Mildred confirmed.

Joyday Step Five: Pippa - Complete

Come morning, Mildred would drop off the cards and any further requests.. She'd make sure that Hecate's birthday meant something more than just another year passing.

This one had a lot of Rambling and repeating, so it may not be the most intresting of Chapters, but it sets up the next arc.

Arc? Has this become an anime? XD
