(Unknown Location, Unknown Timeline)
A light glow coming from a screen made of magic illuminated the dark room, on the screen was the paused image of Ken'Ichi before he defended himself and Naruko from the mob in front of the child warrior. An evil and malicious giggle resounded through the room emanating from a shadowed throne, a woman sitting in said throne tapped her staff against the stone ground. "My precious boy, look at how you've grown." Leaning forward putting her chin in her free hand tapping her cheek the revealed Towa scanned every inch of her sons face. "The anger in your eyes, to the violence that follows. Everything is going perfectly, even with the small setback of that seal that blasted Tsunade had placed on you..."
growling in frustration she gripped her staff tightly her knuckle popping from the pressure. "To think that old perv was and is smart enough to not only seal your true power...but somehow keep it at .1% of it." Standing from her throne she slowly walked forward gripping her staff with both hands she shattered the magical screen. Silence rolled in the air while Towa contemplated what to do, she planned and giving her son some warriors to test his powers on but he was too weak to do anything as of right now. Closing her eyes she contemplated long and hard on the next move she must make when the door to her chambers opened revealing Mira. "Towa...it is time for us to move..." huffing in frustration Towa nodded her head walking towards her arguably greatest creation then teleporting them away.
(Elemental Nations, 13 years after the Kyuubi Attack)
the sun was beginning to rise over the village of Konoha signifying the start of a brand new day for the peaceful village. On the Hokage monument a sun kissed blonde girl was defacing the Stone Faces, while a muscular boy a couple months older than her was holding the rope keeping her rope held at the perfect height as she painted the stone faces. "Can you hurry this up Naruko? I'm bored out of my mind up here." Naruko looked up with a pout, Ken'Ichi was holding the rope with one hand while gazing out at the village. "Come on Ken-Kun! You promised you'd help me with this!"
sighing loudly Ken'Ichi looked down at the blonde haired girl clicking his teeth. "Then Hurry up, you don't have much time before Hiruzen sends the Anbu after us." Naruko flinched and kept quiet doing her best to hurry with her prank, it didn't take that much longer till they heard shouting from the villagers down below. "Times up Naruko!" With a flick of his wrist he lifted the blonde girl to the top of the monument. "Let's split up, you'll evade them better by yourself anyways." With that Ken'Ichi lept off the monument, kicking off the nose of one of the stone faces he disappeared into the crowd of the villagers at speeds only Shinobi would be able to track.
chuckling to himself he used a skill he learned by watching several shinobi and blended into the crowd with some effort, his spiked multi colored hair being a dead give away for those who really looked for it. Trekking through the different streets and districts, he made his way to his apartment given to him by Hiruzen as his 12th birthday. Well he said it was a gift from his mother who was journeying throughout the land of fire, but Ken'Ichi knew it was Hiruzen trying to keep him at least somewhat loyal to his Mothers home Village.
Walking up 4 flights of stairs he eventually entered his home, it was slightly messy with various weights and training equipment laying about even if he stopped using them. He realized no matter how much he used them they never got any easier to use them, his strength never improved as if he was being kept in a perpetual state of weakness. "Tch, but even without chakra I should still be able to get stronger..." he said in a slightly depressed tone subconsciously scratching the middle of his back which laid a small yet very complex seal.
turning his head Ken'Ichi glanced at the clock letting out a small huff. "I have enough time for a shower then a nap..." he turned to head towards the bathroom at the end of the hallway when his stomach growled, letting out an embarrassed chuckled her spun on his heel and quickly made his way to the kitchen. "After a light snack of course!" Getting into his fridge Ken'Ichi started stacking food into one arm chuckling to himself as he proceeded to eat 5 meals worth of food.
(Hokage's Office)
Hiruzen hummed his aged eyes gazing upon Ken'Ichi with his crystal ball, a worried frown marred his face. He introduced Naruko to Ken'Ichi hoping to calm the anger that steeps beneath the surface of the boy. And it worked, somewhat at least, the boy can't hide the emotion behind his eyes no matter how hard he tries. Hiruzen grabs his pipe off of his desk sitting back in his chair as he turned his head to look out the windows behind him. What he's come to realize is that the boy has an aggressive personality in general, he figured it had something to do with his tail. "Whatever gave Tsunade that child...wasn't human that's for sure, maybe a true demon has surfaced in the Elemental Nations."
that was the only conclusion, he knew Tsunade wouldn't have given herself to another man after Dan's passing. Narrowing his eyes he remembered when he caught Ken'Ichi as a small child punching a tree with an odd style of fighting he's never seen before on the battlefield or scrolls. Slowly getting up with a grown as his old bones creaked, bending back a bit he cracked it. "Uuuuugggghhh...I'm getting to old..." Hiruzen exited the Hokage Office a small smile on his face. "Let's go say hi to the little warrior in the making, maybe we can have some tea." He said chuckling his Anbu inwardly chuckling at the old Kage's way of procrastinating his paperwork for a little while.
He took his time walking to the young warrior in the making's home, by the time he made it to the door Ken'Ichi was already done with his small snack and was cleaning up the plates. The knock on his door forcing him to stop and let them soak in water to answer the door. "Hai? Oh...it's you" he said in a less than positive tone as he gave the third Hokage a deadpan stare. Hiruzens eyebrows twitched as Ken'Ichi let him inside his home, the further he walked into the apartment he took notice of the weights strewn about. "Don't be like that Ken-kun, I'm here to see how you've been. You've stopped visiting me unlike young Naruko-Chan."
grunting Ken'Ichi grabbed his tea pot and started to make some tea, glancing at the Hokage he spoke in a monotone voice. "So why are you here Hiruzen?" The Hokage walked to Ken'Ichi's kitchen and sat at his dining table. "I wanted to check on you...I also had an proposition for you." Fully turning to Hiruzen Ken'Ichi leaned back against his kitchen counter crossing his arms over his chest. Seeing he had the youngsters attention he sat back folding his hands on top of the table he was sitting at a smirk growing on his face. "Now, as you know I wouldn't be able to make you a shinobi. But you are still after a job to test your skills and grow stronger."
"I came up with a solution to your problem, im going to assign you as an Irregular Soldier in the Konoha Reserves." Ken'Ichi was highly surprised, usually a shinobi who graduated from the academy but wasn't chosen for a squad would be assigned to the reserves. But the key word for that situation was shinobi, and that was something Ken'ichi could never be. He preferred being face to face with his opponents, he preferred to fight like a warrior not an assassin. That's why he pushed himself so hard because he knew as he was now even a Genin could prove a challenge to him. The young man was knocked out of his thoughts when the tea kettle whistled behind him, "I see, and this would definitely have the path to power in looking for Hiruzen-Sama?"
Hiruzen nodded his head humming while watching the boy pour tea for the both of them. "That's right, we even have a Tainutsu specialist in our ranks who could help you train. He's a bit eccentric but I believe you could benefit from his training." Hiruzen slowly brought the tea up, gently blowing on it to cool it down a bit, before taking a long sip. "Excellent...then I accept your proposition Hiruzen-Sama..." Ken'Ichi did a small bow to Hiruzen before downing his own lip of tea. "If you don't mind sir I need to shower and nap before I go out to train." Chuckling Hiruzen did the same to his own cup of tea then stood up. "Of course, I would like to tell you one more thing before I go though."
Ken'Ichi looked up at Hiruzen an eyebrow quirked up in confusion, the old Kage himself was walking towards Ken'Ichi's front door. "Soon will be the team assignments, I want you to join Naruko if she passes. It will be a test of your skills." nodding his head Ken'Ichi once again bowed towards the old Kage. "As you wish Hiruzen-Sama" with that Hiruzen left the young warriors home he couldn't help but chuckle. "Hmm, i believe it's almost time for his seal to be re-inked..." Looking back at the apartment building a small frown marred his face. "He should be ready for his full power to return to him, hopefully he can gain control of it. Or else it might be the end of not Konoha but himself."
Finally the story begins, with Towa scheming in the shadows while her side experiment with her son in elemental nations grows up there is no telling what evils Ken'Ichi may encounter in the future. Hiruzen knowing Ken'Ichi's plight decides to give the young warrior a chance to become so much more and allow Ken'Ichi to finally grow into his power. Will this end happily? We can only find out as the story continues!
