Ah the world of Pocket Monsters. Or Pokemon for short. Pokemon are strange and wonderful creatures that can be found up in the skies, under the sea, in forests, even living in towns and citys. There isn't a single place in the world that isn't in habbitid by Pokemon.

To some people, Pokemon are pets. While others use them for work and battles and become the best of friends. There are also many mysteries about them surrounding us.

And one of the biggest mysteries will be solved by a young boy from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region. Ash Ketchum. But right now, he was still in his bed sleeping when,

BUZZ!

"AAAHHH!" He screamed as he fell off the bed and then looked at his clock. "Oh no! I better hurry if I'm gonna get to camp in time!"

Ash had arrived at Professor Oak's lab just in time for camp to start. Along the way, he saw some other kids had already arrived. One of them was Professor Oak's grandson Gary. He and Ash had been rivals ever sense they were babies. But unlike Gary, Ash had been studying. He knew as much as he could about Pokemon.

Soon, Professor Oak had arrived.

"Ah. Everyone's here. As some of you know, my name is Samuel Oak. Welcome to my summer camp. Are you all ready?"

"Yeah!" A lot of them shouted. Including Ash. Except for one girl with maroon hair in a braded ponytail. In which Ash had nnoticed.

"For today's activity, we will be observing the wild Pokemon in the forest. Now follow me closely. We don't want any of you getting lost."

And off the went. Professor Oak talked about the passing Pokemon and their habbitats. Ash was having a lot of fun when he noticed something was wrong.

"That girl." He said. "She's gone."

And he was right. That girl might have gotten lost. Ash knew he had to do something but he didn't want to ruin the fun the other kids were having. So he ran off to find her.

"Now Ash, how would you like to tell us what this Poke...Ash? Ash? Where'd you go?"

"Oh no. I've gotten separated from the group." The girl said as she walked around the forest. "Which way back? Oh I'm lost. I'm gonna be in big trouble when I get home."

"Voi?"

The girl gasped as a Pokemon walked over to her. But looking at it, she can see that it was a baby female Eevee. All alone with no family.

"Hey." She said. "I got lost and I can't get back. Are you lost?"

"Evoi." The Eevee said sadly.

"Here." The girl said as she picked up the Eevee. "I may not be able to find your family. But you can stay with me if you want."

The Eevee smiled.

"Okay then. First we have to find a way back to camp."

"Where are you?" Ash called out from the bushes.

"Huh? Who's there?"

"Hey!" Ash called out as he looked for the girl in a clearing of the forest. "Are you alright?!"

"Pichu?"

"Huh?" Ash asked as he turned around to see the said Pokemon looking at him. "You're not who I'm looking for."

"Pichu." The Pichu said sadly.

"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Where's your family? Do you have one?"

The Pichu shook his head. Just as Ash then heard a stomach growl. But it wasn't his.

"Are you hungry?" He asked as he pulled out some crackers from his backpack. "It's all I've got right now. Do you want some?"

The Pichu took one of the crackers and ate it.

"Pichu." He said happily as he jumped. Only to end up stepping on a PokeBall and end up getting inside of it.

"Oh no!" Ash shouted as he grabbed the ball after it dinged. And then, he let the Pichu out. "Are you alright?"

"Pichu!" He said shivering.

"I figured you'd wouldn't like going inside a PokeBall. Oh I know. As long as the ball reconizes you, no one else will be able to catch you. If you want, I'll let you stay with me."

"Pichu." He said as he leapped onto Ash's shoulder.

"Okay then. I'll keep this with me. Though I wonder how it got here anyway." Ash said as he put the ball into his backpack. "Now what was I...oh right. The girl's still out here."

Then Ash heard a sound form the bushes and turned around. And there she was. Just as she stepped out of the bush, She tripped on a another PokeBall as the Eevee on her arms fell onto it and it took her in.

The girl gasped as the ball dinged as she then let the Eevee out.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Voi." The Eevee said nodding as the girl picked up the PokeBall.

"Hey." Ash said as he ran to her. "I've been looking for you. Are you alright?"

"No. I'm not okay." She said upset.

"Come on. We should get back to the campsite."

"Where is it? We're lost out here."

Ash smiled. "Don't give up until it's over okay? We'll find our way back."

Just then, a Ryhorn ran by as another one was seen fighting it.

"What's going on?" Ash asked.

And then, one of the Ryhorn glowed and then, it turned into a pink cat like Pokemon floating in the air. Ash quickly pulled out a camera and took a picture of it before it flew away.

"Let's go." He said as he lead the girl back to the campsite.

"Ah Professor Cerise." Professor Oak said to man who entered after the Pokemon Safari was finished. "So nice of you to visit us today."

"Thanks for your consern Samule." Said Professor Cerise. "It was the right idea for me to send Chloe to your camp this year. She doesn't have as many friends back in Vermillion City save for Goh. It's too bad Goh got ill and couldn't make it today. But where is she?"

"I'm not sure. She and a boy have been gone for sometime. I sent one of my assistents to look for them while I continued the safari."

"Professor Oak!"

Both of them turned to see Ash running by with the girl who he now knows as Chloe Cerise. On the way back, they took the time getting to know each other and became quick friends.

"Aha. I was wondering where you two have run off to." Professor Oak said to them. "So Ash, why don't we start with you?"

Ash and Chloe told him everything. About Ash finding out that Chloe went missing and finding her along with Pichu. About Chloe getting seporated without knowing and finding Eevee. And about them finding a rare Pokemon that Ash took a picture of before heading back as Ash showed the picture to them. Making both of them jump.

"Ash. You have done a remarcibe thing today. Your consern for both her and today's activity had brought her back and allowed the other kids to continue the activity. As for this picture you took, what you and Chloe have seen was the legendary Pokemon Mew. She's said to have the DNA of all Pokemon. Legend has it that she was the first to be created by the very first Pokemon to ever exist. Arceus."

When he said that, Ash was amazed. He had dreamed of becoming a Pokemon Master. Now along his dream, he wishes to capture Mew.

"As for these little ones." Professor Oak said as he turned to the Pichu and Eevee. "I won't stop you if you wish to keep them."

"We are." Said Ash.

"And Ash." Professor Cerise said to him. "After your encounter with Mew, I've decided that you and Chloe could be my Research Fellows."

"Did you say Research Fellows?" Chloe asked.

"You heard me."

"Sweet! I'll do it as soon as we're old enough to be trainers!" Ash said excited. "And one day along with my dream of becoming a Pokemon Master, I wanna see Mew again and catch her!"

Both Professored smiled. Knowing Ash will do it.

Besides Pokemon, there were normal animals living in the world as well. Some of them were even amphomorphics. In truth, no amphomorphic has ever become a Pokemon Trainer.

But that's all going to change in the near future. As a certent cat and mouse duo will begin their journey at the same time as Ash and Chloe.
