LVII - Windthrow
The reason for such a quick update is due to me actually working on this and the last chapter kind of at the same time. Not sure what made me think it was a good idea, but it's what happened. Enjoy.
~~~(LVII)~~~
He almost didn't make it. His last minute jump across almost ended up with him under the train. Again. Thankfully Blake must have sensed his intentions and threw Gambol Shroud at him, wrapping it around his waist and pulling him the rest of the way.
"Thanks."
"What are you doing!? You were supposed to stay with the others!" She was upset, though thankfully it seemed like she wasn't about to do anything about his defiance. "The plan was for us to escort the lamp while Ren pacified the civilians."
"Yeah, well, it was a stupid plan and I never actually agreed to it." The faunus girl stared at him in thought for a moment before huffing.
"It doesn't matter, you'll be useful for the fight at least." They couldn't just ignore the incoming wave of Grimm since they had the lamp. Blake sighed once more before jumping up onto the top of the train. Oxon didn't have that level of agility and had to climb up the side.
Once to the top, he saw the Sphinx land on the train, roaring menacingly. From ahead, he heard Ruby shout to Nora, who was also on top of their section. The bomber relayed the message to the group inside before waving back to them, though she paused when she saw Oxon not on their train. Whatever she said was cut off by the wind and the grayscale effect of Ren's semblance. He waved at her as the distance increased.
Though that didn't stop Ruby and Oscar from voicing their surprise.
"Ox!? What are you doing here!?"
"I take it you decided to take our safety into your own hands?"
He nodded silently before turning his head to watch the train as it disappeared into the snowstorm, fully out of his visual range. That moment of observation came to an end as a manticore dove down to attack Oscar. The kid managed to fend it off for a moment but was clearly outmatched.
Cracking the joints in his neck, Oxon strode forward to support the farm boy. Oscar dodged a blow that Oxon stepped into, halting with one arm. An aura enhanced left hook cracked the faceplate of the creature, causing it to fall on its side. It tried to roar at Oxon to intimidate the armored teen, but he just shoved New Leaf down it's open throat and pulled the trigger. The shock buckshot and burn slug ripped through the soft insides.
Once it was dead, Oxon turned to the panting boy as he loaded a fresh pair of shells. "Glad I'm here now?"
The kid gave him a grin as he got to his feet. "I don't recall being upset at you for joining us." Oxon shrugged and gave a light smile back. Four out of nine of them seemed happy he joined the quest, not an awful split.
Down the line, he and the others noticed Qrow struggling to solo the Sphinx. Ruby rushed off soon after, followed by the rest of her team. Oxon followed suit, blasting away at any Grimm that tried to stop them. The once heavy bombers had dropped significantly, due to their efforts in combat and masking the massive civilian negativity. The others noticed his staying behind, but were too busy to do anything about it.
"We need to ground it!"
Blake nodded at the command of her leader and sent a look and a shout to her partner. "On it! Yang!"
Yang took out one of the final Manticores before using it as a springboard. With the momentum she gained, the blonde runs towards the Sphinx, sliding under its legs. Blake spun her weapon over the creature towards the girl. Once over top, Yang punched it back to her partner, the tow repeated the process a few more times, with the ribbon wrapping around the Sphinx's torso. After enough loops, Yang punched the weapon into the steel roof, embedding it solidly. As one, she and Blake pull the ribbon together, keeping the Sphinx down. Weiss used her Glyphs to freeze the Sphinx's wings, with Qrow and Ruby shooting at them, shattering them in seconds.
It could no longer escape. After learning about Weiss' hidden part of her semblance, he shouted at her and the others. "Let Wiess finish it! We could really use this as an ace in the hole!"
Ruby had already gotten in a crouched position as he said that, she smiled at the idea and sent her uncle a nod. He, also in a similar pose, nodded back. He and Weiss moved forward together, the plan was to get as close as possible so she had an easy time adding it to her arsenal. They were near the creature's side, more than out of the way of its head.
He'd forgotten about the snake head attached to its tail and let out a yell as it clamped down on his arm. His aura started to drop heavily as it attempted to pierce his armor. He pulled back his left arm in an attempt to bludgeon it, but he didn't need to bother. Seconds after it but him, a steel blade pierced through one eye and out the other.
As it fell limp and turned to smoke, she looked at him with a confident smirk. "You can thank me later."
He snorted at that.
"You can thank me for helping you get an overpowered summon later."
She laughed at his rebuttal, but he also saw a hungry gleam in her eyes. He understood that, he'd be out to kill everything he could if he could use them for himself. As he guarded the girl, the uncle and niece duo readied their scythes as the Sphinx prepared to launch one more fire blast. Qrow and Ruby burst forward, bodies twisting as their rising momentum increased the cutting potential of their blades.
The pair cut into all four of the limbs, Ruby hitting the back while Qrow sliced into the front. The Sphinx's torso slammed into the roof and Oxon, Ruby, Blake, and Qrow started blasting the monster in its forehead, creating a web of cracks on the bone mask. Seeing her opening and the fact the creature seemed to be preparing something, Weiss dashed off to finish the beast.
Before it died however, the Sphinx's death throws knocked Weiss back and Yang just managed to catch her. The awful end wasn't finished yet, as it dissolved, it launched the ball of flame forward. Oxon watched in horror as it impacted the gravity dust rails, destroying a large section in front of them.
"Ahhhh hell…"
Under him, a black glyph sprung to life, it along with his spikes held him firmly. He was greatly thankful for the aid as the train shuddered once it hit the ruins section and crashed into the snow. He activated his shield and flored his aura moments before impact.
~~~(LVII)~~~
Oxon, as usual with his luck, found himself stuck under about a foot of snow, after shaking off his disorientation, he shoved aside the powdery water. After a moment of effort, his head burst free like a flower in early spring, he looked around the scene to see how bad it was. The train was fucked, that was for sure. It was bent, twisted, crushed, and completely unusable. Even for temporary shelter.
"Is everyone okay?" Qrow saw his head poking out of the snowbank and jumped a little in surprise. "Jeez kid, you look like you lost your head. How are you not freezing?"
Oxon shrugged, displacing a bit of snow off of his shoulders. "This is pretty normal for Prism in winter, plus I've got multiple layers of varying fabrics and fur to keep me at a comfortable sixty three degrees." The man just shook his head in exasperation. Walking closer, the man removed Oxon's helmet, revealing more snow underneath the metal guard, and took a quick photo. Oxon pouted at the action before the man helped pull Oxon the rest of the way out.
Weiss and Blake approached the duo as Oxon brushed off the slightly damp powder. "You two good?"
"I'm all safe and sound." Weiss hid a laugh in her hand as she saw his snow covered form. "Mr. Brawnwen, you will send me that photo."
The man laughed at her request and sent the image. The communication devices were only good at such close range without a local repeater. She grinned as it popped up after a minute.
"Yeah. No injuries here." Blake reached up and knocked a bit of snow off his head in a playful manner. He rolled his eyes at the action, he was still more than comfortable.
"You got all your ears?" The girl's eyes flattened at the joke, clearly unimpressed. "Just trying to lighten the mood, Blake."
Before she could answer, a sudden and unknown voice called out to the group. "Still alive!" Everyone looked up and noticed an elderly woman stepping out from the train. She seemed immune to the states of shock she was receiving. She hardly seemed bothered by the situation, or the fact they had crashed.
"That sure was a close one, huh?"
Oxon stared at the old woman as she got out of the now ruined train. Someone had been left behind? He wondered if she'd been trapped, but the grin on her face told him and the others she had planned this. All his tact, patience, and strength not to curse in front of the group was shot.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me!"
~~~(LVII)~~~
Oxon took his time rummaging around the broken cars for any supplies to shove in his leather backpack. He had food, fire starters, medical supplies, and ammo. A whole lot of ammo. If they needed to camp out, he had a two person tent that he'd give to team RWBY, he wasn't going to hog it. He didn't feel guilty about what was basically looting, the train was pretty much lost to the Grimm for however long it took Mistral to come and salvage the wreck. The people who lost stuff could always replace them. A few cars down, he heard Yang complaining up a storm as she struggled to get her bike out of the snow.
"Great! This is just great! We're stranded, we lost a third of our party, and we've gained a defenseless old lady!" With one final heave, Yang managed to extricate Bumblebee, but fell over onto the ground. Her bike shared the same fate and fell on its side into the soft snow. Both rider and bike were now covered in it.
Said old lady decided to speak up in her defense. "My name is Maria Calavera, and I am not defenseless! I'm just a little hard of hearing. And blind without my eyes, that are in desperate need of repair." She tapped on her prosthetics, which open wide and close in a jittery fashion, before opening narrowly again. "Okay, I'm starting to see your point."
"Yang, knock it off, will ya? If we lose our cool now, we'll just be inviting even more Grimm."
"Does that even matter? Apparently, we've been attracting Grimm ever since we left Haven."
Weiss, feeding off the frustration from the girl, seemed to grow even more annoyed. "Oh, and how could I forget about that?"
Yang turned to face Oscar. "What happened to no more lies and half truths?"
"Yeah, I think it's time we got an explanation…"
Oxon agreed with Weiss and Yang, but was confused at the words coming from the boy. "Why are you saying it like that? You're the one we're talking to!"
"Not quite." Oscar shook his head briefly before his eyes glowed for a moment. Once done he furrowed his brow at the accusations sent at him. "I did not lie to you…" Oxon stepped forward, eyes narrowed at the words from everyone and the very sudden change in Oscar. He wasn't sure if the kid had a strange semblance or a personality disorder, but something was up.
"Okay, I've ignored the obvious for a while now, but I just can't anymore. The kid is fourteen! He's younger than Ruby was in Beacon and a damn farmer. Why is a kid like that with us? Why does Qrow hang off his every word? And why does his lamp… relic… thingy attract Grimm!?" Weiss and Yang seemed to agree with his questions. There was information likely held from him due to his own issues, but they also clearly had been left in the dark about more than a few things.
"It's not an important thing to focus on at the moment Mr. Adhmad." The hell it wasn't and he made his frustration clear. "I'm on your side, I just need you to trust me."
"You just asked yourself to clarify a few things and now it's like you're a whole separate person! You went from agreeing with the others, then your eyes glow, and you're acting cagey. I should know, it's how I was a year and a half ago. You're hiding things. Things we need to know in order to keep alive." The others seemed a bit uncomfortable at his accusations, he more than anyone else knew the signs of secrets. He'd mostly ignored it in hopes they'd fill him in eventually, it was getting way past that point now.
"Mr. Adhmad, I can understand your frustrations, but the truth is not for everyone." Oxon snarled, clenching and unclenching his fists. He felt like the kid was trying to make a fool of him, that just pissed him off more.
"I just need a crumb of information! I know none of you trust me, and while I don't mind not knowing everything, what's the point if I'm not told anything?" Why had Ruby and Blake asked him to join them if he was just going to be kept in the dark the whole time? He wouldn't accept that, not again. "Cinder was the same! Only giving me snide and sarcastic bits of information about what she was after, I can understand some things should be hidden, like the purpose of that "relic" you've been talking about. Except for that it's a real and present danger that you kept hidden!"
"Oxon's right." Ruby stepped forward to stand between him and Oscar, a palm out to each of them. "I think at this point we can trust that he's on our side and out to stop Salem too. If we keep him in the dark about things everyone here already knows, then that's just going to create a wedge."
"Miss Rose, we need to focus on taking the lamp to Argus, we can speak of this all at a separate ti-" Yang, it seemed lost what little patience she had and blurted out one of the most unbelievable claims he'd heard.
"Headmaster Ozpin is inside Oscar's subconscious. After he died he just hopped bodies and is possessing the kid. That's who we're talking to now." He turned to face the blonde, expecting to see some sort of smirk or sign she was lying. He didn't.
"You expect me to believe that? The kid's off, I'll admit, but to say the man is cohabitating the brain of a Mistrali farm hand?" Preposterous, that was fairytale nonsense. "Why not take over someone else? Why not one of the professors or a Valean huntsman?"
"It's not about choice, Oxon, I have no control over who I move into upon each death." No. No, this was crazy. That wasn't a semblance! "I can tell you more once we reach Argus, for now we should put this all to rest and move onward."
Yang wasn't ready to end the conversation yet, neither was he honestly. "No, we're past that! I wanna know why you're still not telling us everything! Especially about the Grimm trying to get the lamp!"
Ozpin sighed at the blondes continuing of the confrontation. "It is true that the Grimm are attracted to the Relics. It's faint, but undeniable. I believe it has to do with their origin, but I'm not entirely sure. Regardless, I feared that making you all aware would only add anxiety and negativity. It seemed like the safer option."
"You know, I'm getting really tired of people choosing what's best for me."
Yang agreed with Weiss and tried to pry more out of the ghost(?). "Is that why you chose to lie to everyone about Lionheart too?"
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I believed the Kingdom of Mistral deserved better than the truth. And I believed Leonardo deserved to be remembered for his lifetime of service, and not for the unfortunate missteps he made in his final years."
"Missteps!?"
"Isn't over half of the kingdom's huntsmen and huntresses dead cause of him?" The old man inside the boy flinched. "I've made many "missteps" too, I helped kill dozens due to my own cowardice, and I was fucking locked in a damn hole for months! Why does he get to be remembered as a saint!?"
The boy raised his hands in an attempt to placate him. "I can understand your anger Oxon, what headmaster Lionheart did was reprehensible. I am not here to argue differently, but does one lapse in judgment truly negate all of his good? Do we not all have regrets? You may have met headmaster Lionheart, but you never met the man he was before Salem found him."
"And you never met me before Cinder did the same damn thing to me! I was seventeen when I was forced to either obey her or die! Lionheart was a grown man!" He made no excuses for himself, he knew his sins were uncountable. That's why he was here, to do everything possible to make up for it.
"Look, we're supposed to be in this together. You can trust us! We're not gonna turn our backs on you."
Ozpin sent a look to Yang and raised the volume of his voice. "Do you really think Leo was the first?!"
Everyone stopped at that.
"That he didn't say those exact same words to me? I'm sorry, but you have to understand that my behaviors are backed by experience. I'm not saying that I have reason to think you will betray me. I'm saying that I have reasons for the things that I do, the secrets I keep, the reason I…" He suddenly stops and realized something, causing him to panic slightly. "Where's the Relic?"
Ruby stepped forward, but still kept a fair distance from the boy. "Right here. It got scattered in the crash."
"Please, hand it over." Ozpin reached his hand out, but Ruby hesitated, moving a step back. It didn't go unnoticed. Oxon moved around and placed himself closer to Ozpin.
"So all those times you talked about having faith in humanity, that was just for everyone else?"
"That's not what I meant to suggest. Miss Rose, the Relic is a powerful item and I simply feel as though it is my burden to bear."
"But, you said it couldn't do anything right now."
"Why does it matter who carries it?"
"If the Grimm are after the broken thing, then let Qrow, Yang, or I hold it. We're the physically strongest here, but if you want someone who can run with it? Let Ruby keep holding it or give it to Blake."
"No, it is better if I'm the one that holds it, so I need you to listen to me-"
Ozpin reached his hand out towards the new topic of debate only to freeze. For a moment, the body is stuck in that position. But his expression was not so calm.
"Oz?"
Oscar had a face full of struggle, like he was fighting the other person for control. "Hurry... he's... trying to stop you!"
Yang stepped defensively in front of her sister. "Stop her from what?"
"He's afraid... you'll find out what he's... hiding!" Oscar suddenly collapsed, Yang, Weiss, Blake, and Oxon glare at the boy with intense anger while Ruby held the Relic of Knowledge defensively. "Her name is Jinn. Say her name to summon her."
"Her name?" The wind picked up much more gradually, blowing snow even harder. They were going to need shelter soon, the snow would freeze to them soon. The lamp, as if sensing something, started to glow in Ruby's hands. "Jinn?"
Suddenly, the snow stopped, floating in midair. The wind stopped blowing too. "What?" Oxon could only agree with the older man. "What?" indeed.
Ruby then let go of the Relic as it floated a short distance away, cyan smoke emanating from it. Suddenly, the lamp is enveloped in the smoke, and from it, a giant, feminine figure emerges. Her blue skin was on full display, something Oxon was a bit flustered by, she was decorated with gold jewelry and ornaments. The figure stretched and moaned as if getting up from a long nap.
"Wonderful." Everyone stared in awe at Jinn. Oxon almost fainted from the shock, but managed to fight off the sudden shock. "Tell me, what knowledge do you seek?"
"I must be dreaming. I must have hit my head in the crash and am probably still in the snow." The being only laughed at his reaction.
"I am Jinn, a being created by the God of Light to aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. I've been graced with the ability to answer three questions every one hundred years. You're in luck, as I am still able to answer-"
Ozpin screamed out at the blue smoke woman. "That's enough!" Everyone looks to Ozpin, who managed to regain control over Oscar's body. The lady, Jinn, spared a moment to look at him before continuing.
"... two questions this era."
Judging from their reactions, there was another lie surrounding the questions. Oxon looks down at the kid, no, the adult inhabiting the kid in a rage. Ozpin being alive was a shock, but the fact that his soul possessed a person was another. The lying he could tolerate, Oxon had done the same to them as well, but this seemed different and the now possessed Oscar tried to stop what was happening.
"Sorry Pine, I'll make it up to ya later." Oz looked up as Oxon slammed a boot - after retracting the spikes - into the back of his legs, astral possession or not, the body was still that of a child. When he fell to the snow, Oxon put a knee on his back and used his left hand to grip both the wrists behind Oscars back. The body beneath him instantly started struggling to break free.
Jinn chuckled at the scene below her. "It's a pleasure to see you again, old man."
From the ground, the old man with a young face gave a pleading look to the young leader. "Ruby, please... Don't."
Qrow glances at Ozpin, and steps forward. "Hey." Suddenly, Yang, Weiss, and Blake get defensive at Qrow. Ruby stares in disbelief.
Qrow gave up instantly. "Do whatever you think is right, kiddo." There was now not a single person standing up for the body swapper.
Ruby took a moment to ponder a question for the spirit. After a little bit, she looked up to the floating woman. "Jinn?" Said spirit has a curious look on her face, while Ozpin continued and failed to escape. The difference in body mass was too much, even so, the struggle beneath Oxon increased and required more focus to hold him down. It was hard since he had to restrain Ozpin while also not breaking something in Oscar.
"What is Ozpin hiding from us?"
"Noooooo!" The form beneath him had a sudden surge of strength and almost broke Oxon's grip. He had to clamp his other hand on the boy to keep him from stopping this, but his fingers slackened as the world suddenly went white.
~~~(LVII)~~~
Once free of the vision, Oxon fought the urge to punch something. That vision showed the hopelessness of this mission. The fact Ozpin had not told them his ex-wife was the queen of the Grimm and completely immortal was a shock. He'd been planning to kill her for her role at Beacon, but now? Now he had no idea what to do.
"Salem can't be killed... you all heard her too, right?"
He and the others all glareed furiously at Ozpin, who was still being restrained by Oxon. He looked up from the snow, tears streaming down his face. He tried to look to Qrow for support, but the male Branwen just looked away in anger.
"I-" Oxon's grip tightened on the boy's wrists and shoulder, causing him to flinch. Though it seemed like Oxon wasn't the only one who wanted something to do.
Yang had red eyes as she glared at Os- Ozpin. "There was so much you hadn't told us! How could you think that was okay?!" Ozpin didn't say anything, he just hung his head back down in shame.
"Professor…" Ozpin looked up at a conflicted Ruby. "What is your plan to defeat Salem?"
Ozpin tensed for a moment before going slack. "I… don't have one…"
Qrow stepped forward and motioned for him to release Ozpin, begrudgingly, he did so. He wasn't expecting the man's avian agent to suddenly punch Ozpin in the face, sending him into a nearby tree trunk. The man was breathing heavily as he stared at the farm boy turned immortal.
"No one wanted me... I was cursed... I gave my life to you because you gave me a place in this world... I thought I was finally doing some good…"
The wizard had tears forming in his eyes as he watched everyone turn on him. The bastard deserved this, God given curse or no. "But, you are!"
Qrow, it seemed, disagreed. "Meeting you... was the worst luck of my life…"
Ozpin stares back in disbelief upon hearing Qrow say that, before looking down, dejected and depressed. "Maybe you're right…" Oscar's eyes glow briefly. Once done the boy gingerly put a hand to his cheek and winced in pain from the effects of Qrow's punch.
"What happened?"
Oscar looked up at the red girl, confusion clear on his face. "He's... gone."
"That bastard! Tell him we're not done yet!"
The boy shook his head. "No, this is different. He's gone. It- It's like he's locked himself deep inside my head. Our head?" The kid groaned as he held his head in obvious pain. "I hate this! I want it to stop!"
"He just left us?"
"What are we gonna do now?"
Oxon crouched by the boy to check on him. His animosity was for Ozpin, not the kid stuck with him. The kid flinched slightly, but relaxed when Oxon offered him a bandaid and a hand up. "We need shelter, nobody else besides maybe the old lady is equipped to deal with the cold, we can figure out everything later." The old lady had a shawl and he had multiple layers of leather, cloth and fur. He'd be fine, the others might not.
Yang growls in anger at Oxon's words, and shoves past the group and towards her bike. "One liar to another, we really can't catch a break…"
The old lady seemed more than tired of the situation. "Enough! We need to move on. It'll be dark before we know it, and every one of you is spewing negativity! There's a trail over there, trails usually lead somewhere." They followed the canes point to see that there was indeed a trail.
"Lady, I don't know who you think you are but-"
The elder woman had enough of Yang it seemed. "No buts! I understand that you're upset. Honestly, I'm still coming to terms with the fact that this is humanity's second time around. But, if we don't move, we die. And I'll be damned if I've lived this long just to die out here in the cold!"
"She's right. Come on."
Everyone grabbed their belongings and whatever dust they could carry with them. Oxon still had some room and offered to carry more for the others. The woman walked over to sit on Bumblebee as Yang walked her bike down the path.
Oxon picked up the cane from where it had fallen and walked over to Oscar. The short boy seemed incredibly tired and it took a moment before noticed Oxon holding the item. He handed over the handle of his cane, and tried to apologize. "Sorry for the rough treatment, you can lay one on me if you want?"
Oscar looked up in surprise and then let out a cheerless laugh as he took the cane. "I appreciate that, but I don't think I have it in me… I'm just going to be another one of his lives, aren't I?" Oxon didn't have an answer, at least not one the kid would want to hear.
Ruby seemed to also try and cheer the kid up. "Of course not. You're your own person."
Not for long… He didn't say.
"Don't lie to him, Ruby." The older man walked past the trio, drinking from his flask. "We're better than that." With his piece said, the group began to trudge on towards Argus. They really could use Ren right now, their negativity must have been mighty tempting.
~~~(LVII)~~~
All the secrets hidden are now revealed. No need for me to copy and paste the damn episode talking about Salem, we all know it and it wouldn't really be anything of interest except a few one liners by Ox. You're welcome lol.
One reviewer talked about Oxon still having contacts in the underworld. We know that Hazel came to the Spiders after the battle of Haven, where he was reported as an ally of Cinder and the White Fang. They still have him information on RWBY and the others knowing all that. And it's true that most of the world is upset at the current situation, but how many crime families really venture out of their own kingdom? The gangs of Vacuo probably couldn't care less about whether or not they can talk to some syndicate in Atlas or Mistral.
Junior will be upset at the lack of tourism impacting his club, but Vale based information is still accessible. Scrolls work inside the kingdom, but not between them after all. The Malachite twins know Oxon enough to know he wasn't exactly happy or in the know about Cinder's endgame, so they will be less hostile. Though if he shows up again, there will probably be more than a few slaps and kicks headed his way.
~~~(LVII)~~~
Omake: Oh Oxon of the snowbank, what is your wisdom?
His head burst free like a flower in early spring. Suddenly there was a large shadow over him and couldn't turn to see the source. Fearing a Grimm, he ducked back into the snow.
Instead of growling, he heard laughter above him. After a bit to school his features into a calm mask, he poked his head back up again. He was met by most of the group looking down on him with grins.
"You guys know the rules, if the Oxon sees its shadow and hides, then winter isn't done yet."
"You look like a snow gopher dude."
"Awww! Oxon's so short now!"
"He looks more like a decapitated head, you gonna haunt us?"
With a vein pulsing on his forehead, Oxon glared at the chuckle heads above him.
"Just help me let me out of here! I don't enjoy this either." He noticed a critical error on more than a few members of the group and looked away with a blush.
"What's that face for?" Weiss, beautiful, foolish Weiss stepped closer to see what caused the sudden change.
"Uh, well… you see…"
Spit it out kid, you lose your pants in the crash or something?"
"Or something…" He muttered. After a moment of contemplation, and them not going away, he knew he had to tell them. "Weiss, Ruby, you're wearing skirts…"
It took a moment for the group to put it together, and when they did, Qrow fell over laughing and Oscar coughed into his hand with a blush. Yang's face was going back and forth between smirking and glaring at him for getting a show from her sister. Blake put her head in her hands and groaned in annoyance. Ruby dashed off in a burst of petals, and accidentally caused a sudden breeze. Further inflaming the situation.
"Uhhhh. Weiss, look, it wasn't on purpose, I'm stuck and can't get up…" that didn't solve anything, obviously. The girl had the reddest blush on her face that he'd ever seen, her eyebrows twitching in a mix of embarrassment and fury.
"Oxon you pervert!" She emphasized her rage and made to stomp on his face. That only went and showed him much more that she knew. Long, pale, and toned legs traveled up to a previously unknown place before his vision was full of stars.
If asked by the others on if it was worth it, he would of course deny it and say that he never intended for that to happen. He'd agree that he deserved what Weiss did as well. In private though? It totally fucking was.
~~~(LVII)~~~
I'm so sorry...
