Three Legends Vs The Remainders

Now you can probably tell who is going to be involved in this chapter right? But before I tart the big fight scene, we will start off this chapter looking at Lila and Jacqueline as they have a girls chat about what happened at the church earlier that day. With of course…a certain somebody stopping by to say hello! Then of course we will head back to the city to witness an epic battle between some of The Remainders and three Legends! So without further ado…let's get right to it!

We Start At The Church…

As the early hours of the morning had passed…a brand new day opened up to the life of Mexico.

But not everyone is feeling the excitement and thrill of being in this beautiful city. As we hear a certain blue spix's macaw female's crying and sobbing. As they were cradled in the wings of her trusty best friend. Who tried everything possible to calm her down.

"There there Lila! It will be alright? I'm sure he didn't mean it?" Jacqueline stroked her on the back as she cried into her chest feathers. She was a bit upset that her beautiful feathers were now stained with her tears. But she didn't get mad at her, because she was her best friend. "You have to admit it Lila. You were also a little harsh with him too?"

"WHAT?!" She shot her head up angrily, and wiped away her tears. The frown on her face showed that she didn't like what she was hearing. "How could you say that?! My own best friend agreeing with my husband over me!"

"No, not at all Lila! I'm just saying…" Jacqueline was a little bit fearful of her response and her feathers frizzled a little.

"Ooooh I get it now?! You've always had a little crush on him haven't you?!" Lila growled in annoyance and turned away from her. As she felt the sadness building up inside of her.

Jacqueline widened her eyes in surprise when she said this. She couldn't believe that her best friend in the whole world thought that of her.

"Come on Lila? You know that my heart is fully with Roberto? And I will never love anyone more than him!" The blue spix's female reassured her, as she placed a wing on her shoulder. "You have to understand that in a marriage, it's a two way argument. You called him lazy, and that's why he retaliated! You know that it works both ways."

"But you don't know what it's been like lately with him? He says one moment he wants to spend time with me, the next he's off on a big adventure. Doing his assassin business, while I have to sit here on what he called my 'Fat ass' and stay out of it! All I think about right now is how miserable I am!" Lila sadly explained, as she wiped the tears away from her eyes.

Jacqueline sighed heavily in defeat, because she wasn't going to get through to her like this. So instead of continuing the conversation, she decided just to walk away to sit with the others.

"Where are you going?" Lila spoke in confusion as she saw her best friend leaving.

"I'm going to try and have a little nap before Roberto gets back." She replied calmly, as she entered the other room shaking her head. Where Keith, Alex and Andy were already asleep. "Also because I can't get through to you!" She thought that last part in her head. Mainly because she didn't want to show her that she was frustrated with her constant arguments.

Lila then lowered her head in defeat herself, then decided to go outside for some fresh air to try and calm her mind.

Once she flew out of the window, she landed on the roof of the church. Where nobody at the time was outside, because Jaime and Tomada decided to patrol the area to keep an eye out for The Remainders.

Lila slowly sat down on the edge of the roof, dangling her talons over the edge. Trying to think about what Jacqueline had just said. Even though she was still convinced that she was in the right.

"No! He was the one who made things complicated! I am only trying to fix my marriage! He just seems like he…like…like he…" The purple eyed female tried to find the right words to describe how she was feeling. But she couldn't quite find the right one.

Fortunately for her…someone decided to best her to it by finishing her sentence for her.

"…Doesn't care?"

"Ahhhh!" Lila immediately jumped up onto her feet when hearing a male's voice behind her. But once she did have a little look, she realised that it was indeed Fred, who was standing there with his wings raised up.

"Woah there Lila! It's only me?" Fred replied quite formally in a posh manner. Before lowering his wings to his sides. "Is my brother around? I wanted to try and make it right after what happened yesterday?" He asked with a warm smile, as he gazed at her in a calm manner.

"Pffft! He's probably off fucking some random skank right now!" Lila huffed in response, before sitting back down on the roof. Crossing her wings in irritation. "He's probably out there right now getting some young tail! That lazy asshole!"

Fred clearly saw that Lila was feeling a little upset still about the problems in her marriage with RDJ. So being the gentleman that he was, he thought that it would be nice if she had someone to talk to about what happened.

So the blue and gold male strolled up to her, and sat about two metres away from her. While he too dangled his feet over the edge of the roof.

"So, lay it on me! What's going on with you and your hubby!" He spoke with a smile, trying not to be creepy or rude like he was the other night.

"Hubby?" She smirked a little at how he described it. She had to admit, the joke was quite funny.

"Yeah haha! Anyway, what's going on now with you two?"

"Ughhh…it's just…him being a dick! Thinking that saving his friend was a chore! As he keeps obsessing over finding the keys!" Lila immediately answered his question a little pissed off. Continuing to look away from him and towards the ocean. "Our friend is in danger, and he got mad about it!"

"Saving? What's happened?" Fred asked with a sweet smile, trying to get her to look at him.

"The Remainders! They took Roberto!" Lila sadly responded, without looking at him at all.

"What?! That's terrible!" The older blue and gold macaw male remarked in a shocked manner, as he placed a wing on his chest to show his emotions. "How did this happen?!"

"He was flying back with Jameson and Alex. Then out of nowhere they were all attacked, and Beto was taken from us!" She slightly looked over her left shoulder to have a little glimpse of him. "Not that my husband cared anyway!"

"I take it he didn't respond well, if his plans got interrupted?" The blue and gold male responded as he leaned back a little while stretching his wings out. "I can understand as an assassin he must be busy all the time. But surely family and friends must come first?"

"Exactly! He only cares about finding these stupid keys! He couldn't care less if anything happened to the rest of us!"

"I'm sure that's not true?"

"It is true! He hasn't even bothered to make more of an effort with you? Considering that he hasn't seen you since you were kids?" Lila was now fully facing him. With both her eyes looking directly into his eyes. "You're his brother, surely he would want to know what you've been up to all this time?"

"Yeah but…I think it's because he doesn't know me properly, you know? He's got the right to be a little nervous with me because we know nothing about each other? Other than the fact we have the same parents." The older male replied as he stretched his wings out a bit more.

"Be that as it may. He still needs to make more of an effort with me!" Lila sadly spoke as she began stretching her wings out. "I just feel…so…so…"

"Lonely?" Both of them said that word at the same time. Then they turned to face each other again. But Lila quickly looked away again…because she felt like this was an awkward conversation.

But just as she moved them a little further back…her wing accidentally touched Fred's. Then both of them quickly looked at each other in surprise. Before the duo retracted their wings back.

But where Fred was quite calm about it…Lila did actually blush a little.

"Well…thank you for stopping by at least to talk to me. I think if you head back to the city, you'll most likely find your dickhead of a brother there." Lila sadly mumbled before stroking her wing softly. As she flicked a few bits of dirt off of it.

Fred was a bit disappointed that he had to leave so soon. But was it the fact that he had to leave her on her own…or the fact he had to search somewhere else for his brother? But…just as Lila thought he was going to leave…he told her the truth about why he was really there.

"Well…ummm…I actually came by here to see you if i'm being honest here Lila?" Fred spoke with an honest tone, even though he knew that he felt bad about saying it. But for some reason, he started staring at Lila's breasts. Not that she noticed of course.

"Me? Why were you here to see me?" The blue spix's macaw female was a bit confused how he suddenly changed his mind like that. But she wasn't judging him. "I thought you came here to see your brother?"

"I felt bad after what happened yesterday. And when I dropped by earlier on and met all your friends, I couldn't help but feel that there was a bit of tension between you and my brother?" The blue and gold male replied as he stood back up onto his talons. "So I was wondering, if maybe you wanted to have a little tour around the city? I can show you some good sights that's hidden away from The Remainders?"

"Oh…ummm…" The blue female at this point wasn't sure on what to do. "Do you mean…like a date?"

"Date? Oh no no! I mean just as friends! Why? Did you…want it to be a date?" Fred rose his eyebrow curiously, and couldn't help but smirk a little bit.

Lila looked down for a moment to have a think about this little proposal from him.

On one wing she knew that if she agreed to do this, then technically she would be doing something that her husband wouldn't approve of. But on the other wing, she thought that maybe getting out there and exploring maybe good for her. Especially since her husband made her really upset earlier on.

"Okay…but just as friends okay? I may not be happily married right now, but I'm still a wife and a mother!" Lila replied with a smirk herself as she got ready for flight.

"Of course Lila! Now, I'm gonna take you to some of my favourite spots around the city! You are going to absolutely love it!" Fred winked at Lila in a cheeky manner. Then spread his wings before flapping them to fly to where he was going to take her.

"Wait! Before we go…"

"What is it?" He replied curiously as he hovered in mid air.

"Why is it that every time I see you, you are always wearing that cloak?" The blue female asked, cocking her head to the side.

"Oh this? This is only because I get hot pretty easily in this heat. So I soak it in water from my home and wear it so it keeps me cool! It's actually very refreshing when they have heat waves here! Anyway, enough yapping! Let's start flapping!"

Without even having any second thoughts about this, Lila too flapped her wings and followed Fred into the sky. As the duo set off on a little sight seeing trio around the city.

I wonder how RDJ would react if he found out about this…

Speaking Of RDJ…

After the painful loss of a true and brave fighter like Roberto…RDJ continued to stand over the body with his wings tightly gripped on the staff that he was carrying. Right now he felt so much rage and anger in his heart. That something almost felt…different about him right now.

But as Monifa had mentioned earlier on…his eyes have completely changed from his crystal blue colour into a bright white colour.

His feathers remained the same colour as before, but now his mind was completely controlled by someone else.

"W-W-Who are y-y-you?!" Monifa stuttered in fear as she took a couple of steps backwards. "Are you a…d-d-demon?"

RDJ slowly blinked his eyes a couple of times, and cocked his head to the side while gazing at the freighted female. "You're…From Cairo, right? Monifa?" His voice sounded a lot darker this time, and it felt like his presence was more chilling than before.

"Are you…Jair?"

RDJ nodded his head slowly while turning towards the sewer gate, and slowly proceeded to walk towards it.

"What are you doing here?" Monifa asked again, as she watched him leave the sewers into the city. "Why are you taking control over my master?!"

"Take the body back to your friends…your services will not be needed right now!" Jair replied as he made his way towards Devil Darkness and Devine.

Monifa blinked her eyes twice in confusion after seeing this happen. Even though she really wanted to help out her mentor…she couldn't argue with the Legendary assassin of old! So she quickly picked Roberto up in her talons. Even though he was extremely heavy, she didn't have any difficulty carrying his body.

"Haaaaaa…oh Jacqueline…I wonder how she is going to feel?" Monifa sadly spoke as she too left the sewers. To escape the city with Roberto's body, while the three Legends covered her escape.

Now Let's Get To The Battle Shall We…

Devine and Devil Darkness continued to stay in their defensive poses, while The Remainders called in their reinforcements to take on the two beings.

"You look like you gained a bit of muscle, compared to the last time we saw each other! Hehe!" Devine chuckled in a cheeky manner, as she saw that Devil Darkness was flexing Jameson's muscles.

"And you ummm…look like you gained…man?" Devil Darkness nervously replied as he noticed that his old friend possessed the body of a guy.

(Very smooth)

Jameson remarked in a cheeky manner, causing his friend to roll his eyes.

"Well, at least he is slimmer than the guy you chose!"

(Hey! You two have a romantic debate later! Let's get on with this already!)

"Who is that guy?" Devil Darkness pondered, when hearing a voice he didn't recognise.

(Aiden…)

"Huh…nervous little fella isn't he?" He chuckled in amusement as he thought that the being Devine was controlling was very nervous around new faces.

"Will you leave him alone! Can't you just put your mind on the battle?!" Devine got a little irritated, slightly letting her guard down.

"I was about to tell both of you the same thing…"

"HUH?!"

Both Devine and Devil Darkness turned around to see RDJ walking towards both of them, and his eyes glowed the same bright white as before. And he placed both his wings on their shoulders while smiling at them. "Ahhhh…it has been too long my old friends!"

"Jair?!" Both of them replied at the same time as they couldn't believe their eyes.

"Good ears! Now listen, do you guys remember when we took out the Legion of thugs back in the year 0005?"

"Yeah?"

"Well let's show these newbies how a battle really happens!" He beamed in determination as he got into a defensive pose himself.

The reminders started to walk towards the three Legends at a calm rate, because they didn't want to go charging in due to the fact that they were a bit fearful.

"Ready guys?!" Jair beamed as he rose his staff up in front of him, pointing it towards the sun for some weird reason.

Both Devine and Devil Darkness extended their tentacles up in front of the staff as they also gripped the staff themselves.

The guards in front of them were a little curious about what they were doing. Though some of them found this display to be rather amusing to them.

"What are they doing?" One of The Remainders asked as he cocked his head to the side in confusion.

"Hey, they are holding wings! Haha! They're scared! They are so…"

Suddenly, the staff glowed a bright yellow and extracted some of the energy from the sun, and it connected to the base of the staff. Then after a few seconds, ten bolts of energy shot out front Devine, and Devil Darkness's tentacles. Causing ten of the guards in front of them to completely burst into flames.

"WHAT THE HELL?! I AM NOT STICKING AROUND FOR THIS!" One of them began to fly away in a panic after what he had witnessed.

"BREAK!" Jair ordered his two associates, who instantly nodded their heads and proceeded to attack The Remainders head on.

Jair ran up to a couple of guards and pulled out his machete, as he swiftly drop kicked one of them in the face, and stabbed him twice in the stomach. Then as the other one took a swing at him, he ducked and the knife slashed his own ally. Cutting his throat instantly.

Then Jair spun around and stabbed him in the neck with his hidden blade, using his strength to throw him into the air. As Devil Darkness turned Jameson's baseball bat into a larger version of it. Smacking him hundreds of yards over the buildings. Making him crash straight into the power lines. Giving him a nasty electric shock.

"BATTER UP!" Both of them beamed at the same time, while avoiding the many arrows that were flying in their direction.

"KILL THEM! SOMEONE FUCKING KILL THEM!" A red bellied macaw called out, as he was running away from Devine. Who only smirked when thinking it was laughable, that he thought he could escape her.

Devine used her extendable tentacles and spun them around very quickly like some kind of helicopter propeller, and chopped at least eleven birds heads off in quick succession.

"HAHSHA! ENEMY WHIRLY BIRD INBOUND!" She giggled sadistically, as one by one their heads were separated from their body in quick succession.

(Up there, on the roof behind us!)

Aiden remarked as he used some kind of heightened sense that his being possessed. But due to their clear strong bond, he shares all the same strong senses that she has.

Devine spun around and jumped up on top of the roof Aiden warned her about, and using the great connection that she had with her host. She started cutting them down pretty easily, swatting her enemies away, sending them flying into buildings and piles of garbage. Even with others, she hit them so hard that she knocked the heads off of their bodies.

Devil Darkness extended both his tentacles and grabbed over ten birds in each one. Biting all of their heads off in one big chomp, before spitting them out like bullets at other enemies. Completely knocking them down or killing then instantly from the impact.

"Devine! Let's do that double slash move that we did when we first met!" Devil Darkness called out to his old friend. Who nodded her head in agreement and landed besides him.

Devine grabbed his wings and he turned his tentacles into sharp blades, then began spinning him around very quickly like some kind of hacksaw. But what was different about this kind of attack move, was the fact that The Remainders felt like they were being sucked in by force, into this really powerful vacuum.

"No…No No! NO NO NO NO NOOOAAAAAHHHHKKKKKAAAAAaaaaaa…" A couple of guards tried to fly away to get to safety. But unfortunately for them the power was so strong, that they got sucked right in, and chunks of their flesh and body parts came flying out the other side.

"You still haven't lost your touch I see?" Devine remarked while giggling, causing Devil Darkness to chuckle as he continued to suck people in and tear them up like shredding paper in a paper shredder.

"Well, when you are trapped in a cube for a couple thousand years, you're bound to crave the action!" He replied as he felt a little tired from the spinning. "I'm getting a little tired here Devine!"

"Haha I always used to tire you out didn't I?" Devine mischievously responded, deciding to stop spinning so fast to let him rest a little.

"Haha yeah…"

(Dude…are you blushing?)

Jameson asked as he felt the way Devil Darkness was staring at his old friend. But of course Devil Darkness quickly decided to change the subject, to avoid telling him about what he was feeling right now.

"Where is Jair?" He asked randomly when Devine let go of him, as they watched all the enemies in front of them retreating back into the city centre. "Looks like we have won the battle…this time!"

"I have no id…there he is! He's up there!" Devine pointed her tentacle upwards, and saw that Jair was fighting in the exact same fighting style that RDJ normally uses.

He ran up to a couple of birds pretty quickly, and slid into one of them breaking their talons immediately. Then he slit the other birds throat and grabbed the half injured bird on the floor. Then threw him powerfully into a group of archers on the roof, knocking all of them down off the roof. As unfortunately for them, they landed in the back yard of what appeared to be a dog shelter.

"Oh shit! Nice doggie! Nice doggie!" One of them panicked in fear, as he tried to make an escape.

RUFFFF! RUFFF RUFFF RUFFF!

"AHHHHHHHHHCCCCKKKKKKKAAAAAA…"

The sounds of their screams were heard across the city, and all you could see were feathers flying in the air all over the place from where they were being ripped apart.

But Jair wasn't done there! He grabbed his bow and arrow, and shot three birds who tried to attack Monifa, as she struggled to carry Roberto's dead body out of the fight.

"Thanks Jair!" The grey African female macaw called out, as she continued to vigorously flap her wings to carry Roberto away to safety.

"She will never make it out of there in time? Perhaps she could do with some help?" The blue and gold male thought to himself, as he pointed his wing towards Devil Darkness. "DD! TAKE ROBERTO'S BODY AND MONIFA BACK TO THE CHURCH! DEVINE AND I WILL FINISH UP HERE!" Jair ordered his close associate, who didn't argue with his master and nodded his head in understanding.

"Yes, my mentor!" Devil Darkness nodded his head and immediately flew over to help Monifa out. As he quickly grabbed the blue male's body, and threw him onto his back. As himself and Monifa quickly fled the scene. While Devine and Jair carried on fighting what was left of the enemies who stayed to fight.

Jair immediately leaned his wing back and threw the staff vigorously at ten birds who all stood in a row. And one by one they all just collapsed on the floor like dominos. Then Devine slid in with her extendable tentacles, and broke all of their necks in quick succession.

"Mentor, most of them are already retreating! Do we really need to stay here and fight the rest of these guys?" Devine asked in a curious tone, as she didn't even look at the group of attackers approaching them. Yet all she did was extend her tentacles again and swat them away like they were stuffed animals being catapulted a thousand yards away.

"We are not going to kill all of them! I'm just buying some time so that the others can escape! I can't hold on much longer in this body. He will have to take over again very soon!" The Legendary assassin of old replied, before he took about four throwing knives from his knife belt. And instantly killed four more military macaws.

"Sir…why is this happening? I thought the thugs were dead?!" Devine pointed out, as he rolled over her back and shot two more with his bow and arrows. Then Devine used her hidden blades to slit someone's throat, who tried to sneak up on them.

"I have no idea Devine…this was an outcome I didn't foresee! Something very strange is happening here, and it's right under RDJ's nose. If I knew what was happening…I would do anything I could to prevent it!"

"So what are we going to do?"

"Nothing…RDJ has to figure out this for himself! Just like his father did…all those years ago…" Jair replied in a deep sorrowful tone. As he saw that The Remainders were in full retreat…indicating that they won this battle…but knew it wasn't the end just yet.

Now Let's Quickly Head To Fernando…

"Shit! What am I gonna tell them?" The military macaw male thought to himself deeply, as he managed to fly out of the city. As he glided over to where their hidden base was. "Oh crap! I just hope that Roberto survived! Because if anything ever happened to him, I would never forgive my…"

"Fernando?"

The military male immediately stopped flying in mid air after hearing that voice that he recognised. And one he noticed who it was, he felt so relieved. "Tomada! Jaime! Thank goodness you guys are here. I thought they might have got you too?"

"Seriously? We only wanted to do a patrol of the borders. We didn't realise how many of The Remainders are out there." Jaime replied in a tired manner, while they all hovered in mid air.

"Look, never mind that! Roberto is severely wounded! We need to get him back to the church before anything else happens!"

"Wounded? Shit! How bad is it?" The peregrine falcon asked, feeling concerned about his friend.

But just when he was about to reply…two more birds came flying out of nowhere. And they almost knocked Jaime out of the sky.

"JAMESON?! WHAT THE HELL DUDE?!" Tomada was beyond shocked when seeing his close friend fly past him like that. So instead of sticking around, he looked at Fernando and Jaime in concern and proceeded to follow him back to the hideout. "Jameson?! What's going on?!"

"Guys…it's probably better if we tell you when we get back!" Devil Darkness replied sadly, as he continued to fly with Monifa by his side. Who never said a word…because all she could think about what seeing the light disappear from the eyes of the fallen hero.

"Dude? Why are you carrying Beto like that? Is he unconscious?" Jaime asked, catching up to the black owl male.

But what they were about to hear next…would completely destroy any ounce of positive energy that they possessed inside them.

"No Jaime…Roberto…he's…Roberto is dead…The Destroyer…He KILLED HIM…"

We now come to the end of this chapter dear readers! A lot to think about in this one. Jacqueline can't get thorough to her best friend, Fred is taking Lila out to show her around the city, why is he always wearing that cloak? We saw the three Legends Jair, DD and Devine in battle! We also met the host of Devine, who did t really say much. Aiden is his name. And this character was developed by Emily The Scarlet also. Not only that, after the battle, why was this something that Jair didn't foresee? So many questions…so many needed answers! I will see you all soon for the next chapter!
