The Things That Make You Suffer
Now I obviously don't want to go into too many details about what this chapter is going to be about. Because it's quite clear you know that this story is my darkest one yet! So I'm just going to let you read it…so let's get to it right away…

We Start Off With Keith And Monifa…
After the training session on the rooftops, our muscular barn owl friend was doing push ups in the bell tower where Aiden and Allie normally sleep. And he was obviously stressed about what happened earlier. Because he was pushing himself to do a lot more than what he normally does.
"Ahhhh…Eighty seven…Eighty eight…Eighty…NINE! One more…NINETY! Ahhhhh! Whooo…that's how you do it!" Keith thought to himself triumphantly as he got back to his talons and used a towel to dab his sweaty muscles. Feeling pretty pumped after all those push ups. "Whoo! Next I'll probably do one hundred, but I'll do that tomor…"
"Keith?"
A new voice had entered the room, and this came from a bird who he really didn't want to see right now after everything that happened.
So he took one glance at the female who entered the room, and turned away from her. Feeling upset still about the way she had been treating him.
"Monifa…no offence but, I'm not really in the mood to talk right now okay?" Keith softly replied as he turned around and looked at her with a straight face. As he sat down on the couch to relax after his workout. "I understand you are probably still confused about things. But I don't want to talk about it right now."
"Okay, then don't talk…just listen okay?" The female assassin spoke as she strolled casually into the room and sat next to him on the couch. As he just sighed and laid his head on his wing while turning to face her to pay attention to the conversation.
"Alright…go ahead." He agreed to listen to her, because he felt like she wouldn't be walking away any time soon.
"So…first of all, I'd like to say that I am sorry for being so harsh with you." Monifa apologised as she scratched the back of her head in embarrassment. Gazing into his brown eyes with an apologetic glance. "It was wrong of me to assume such things as you. But I didn't really hear from anyone until you told me today. Especially since it was Mandisa and Donkor who told me what you did before they left the kingdom on personal business."
"Apology accepted. Was that all?" He replied quickly, accepting that she was sorry about her actions but didn't really feel like talking about it anymore.
"No…The thing is…I've been so harsh with you about what the king and queen told me before their retirement from the throne, that I just…acted so rationally with you. Judging you before really knowing what had happened with you and Siax."
"Hang on a second? They knew that I changed when they came to Rio to help us defeat Felix and what I thought was the last of the thugs?" The barn owl widened his eyes. A little bit thoughtful about this conversation.
"That was when they retired from the throne Keith! I was told after you left what you had done, and I was so ready to find you and kill you for betraying them! But of course I had to serve under Donkor's younger brother who ruled when they left to go fight in Rio. But from my understanding, you were a traitor and a liar! But I guess I never really got to ask more about you to them…" Monifa sadly muttered as she lowered her head.
The barn owl male understood where she was coming from, and wanted to be sure that she was in fact truly forgiving him.
"I know…ever since Mandisa and Donkor passed away, I felt like I lost my father and mother figures. Considering I never really knew my parents…" Keith sadly replied as he too lowered his head in deep sadness. "Especially after everything we went through…I never had real parents. But they definitely showered me with enough affection to treat me as if they were my real parents."
"You never knew your parents? What happened? That's if you don't mind telling me of course." Monifa edged a little closer to him on the couch. Feeling quite bad when hearing about his past.
"Nope…Mandisa found me when I was just a young chick with a broken wing. She nursed me back to full health and gave me a job protecting the king and queen. Obviously at that time I was only a kid so they just let me stay with Siax at the time. And that's how we formed such a good friendship, because we grew up together! But, when I was old enough I got a promotion after many years of training to be the head of the royal guards! And then after that…I lost Siax…found her again…and well, the rest is history! So yep…that's my tragic back story…"
"Wow…I had no idea? I'm…I'm sorry for being so brutal with you! I shouldn't really judge others before really getting to know them." Monifa turned away slightly after feeling quite guilty of her actions.
Keith did turn away from her to really think about her apology. And after a few seconds he smiled warmly and spoke in a calm tone. "It's okay…I forgive you Mon…"
But just when they least expected it…both of them turned back towards each other at the same time. And their noses slightly grazed each other's.
Making both of them chuckle nervously and blush deeply. But…they couldn't deny one thing…both of them felt something warm strike their stomachs.
Like both of them had nervous butterflies when being so close to each other. But Monifa quickly responded with nerves in her tone. As to her, she felt quite scared weirdly enough. "I…I gotta go!" The female assassin ran out of the room in quite the hurry.
Leaving Keith confused as to why she ran off like that. "Was it something I said?" He thought outloud and sat back on the couch. Trying to figure out what scared her off like that.
Now Let's Head To Lila And Fred…With Andy And Jacqueline Eavesdropping…
Fred continued to lead Lila through the park as it was actually quite a beautiful place to be in this time of day.
There were various trees with pears and cherries growing on them, perfectly ripe and juicy for picking.
There were several flowerbeds scattered across the park with beautiful flowers and bushes to give this place that extra kick of life.
Lila was in awe of the beauty of this place…and she kind of felt like she really loved being here. "Wow…this place is gorgeous!" She remarked in awe, that she had to take in all of her surroundings at once.
"Well this is my favourite place to go! I used to come here with my mother when I was younger. But after my father left me…it's ummm…not been easy to like it here as much." The strange way that Fred spoke, was very intriguing for anyone who would listen. He sounded like he was really angry when saying this. And the blue female did kind of catch on.
"When your father…left you? Don't you mean when he passed away?" Lila asked in confusion, because she knew that RDJ's father was also his father.
"Yeah…Right! Right, after he passed away…" He quickly corrected himself. But…he did seem like he was on edge when he spoke like this. Why was that? "Anyway, I'm gonna take you to this vineyard just outside of the park landscape. I know it doesn't sound exciting but…"
"Oh no, I love wine! Are we gonna crush grapes?" She asked with excitement in her eyes as he just smiled and nodded his head.
"I like to put the grapes in the barrel and make it fresh! I'm always looking to do the exciting things in life. As I know I don't have much time left on this earth. Especially since I turned 45 today." He remarked with a saddened look as they got closer to the wine vineyard.
"Well…if it's any consolation…I don't think you look 45. You look at least mid 20's. Hehe!" Lila giggled playfully and brushed up alongside him.
"Well…I do like to work out! Gotta keep the body in shape to impress the ladies!"
"Hehe! You definitely impressed me!" The blue female blushed again and did give him a flirty grin. Which in return caused him to wink at her.
Just Behind Them…
"Great! She's being really flirty with him! He's completely manipulated her mind, and now she's being playful with someone else! How could she do this to RDJ?!" Andy grumbled in annoyance, as they tailed the duo to through the park. "He is going to be so pissed off when he finds out…"
"I think she's just flirting with him to get back at her husband for forgetting her birthday! She's clearly doing this to test wether she has the ability to attract other males still. But boy…choosing a man 7 years older than her? Now that's just weird!" Jacqueline replied in annoyance herself, flying past the trees to hide from her best friend. "This is so unlike her…I'm actually worried that she is digging herself into a dep hole."
"We gotta do something to snap her out of it! We can't just let him make moves on her! She's married and a mother!"
"I agree! But not right away…"
"Why not?" The hyacinth male asked while raising his eyebrow.
"If we interrupt them now, then it will look like we are solely here just to stop those two from hanging out! We need to wait until he does something a little more extreme!" Jacqueline explained and noticed that they had finally landed on the farm outside of the park fields. Next to a couple of barrels that were full of grapes. "Okay…looks like they've stopped!"
"So now what do we do?" Andy asked again, as they perched on a tree branch overlooking where they were standing.
"We watch them! Then when we feel like it's going too far…we make our move to stop it!"
Now Let's Check In On Tomada…
"Come on dude?! Where the hell are you?" The falcon was feeling extremely exhausted being in this level of heat for too long. And was searching the rooftops for any strange activity that might have been occurring.
Luckily, The Remainders do most of their patrolling at night, so there weren't many of them out in the open. But he was still deeply worried about how his friend would take the news that his wife was on a date with his brother.
"I swear something weird is going on here? Why is Fred all so suddenly interested in Lila? Not that she isn't attractive obviously! But…why her? Surely it can't be a weird coincidence that he is trying to hook up with his brother's wife?" Tomada thought to himself as he landed on what looked like a library rooftop.
He sat up against one of the chimney's and took a deep breath to relax after moments of flying. But what he forgot was to bring a water container with him, and he looked pretty thirsty.
"Oh god…why would I come out here without water? God I'm so stupid!" The falcon wingpalmed himself and rolled his eyes. Rubbing the sweat away from his forehead.
But just as he thought he was all alone…someone from behind him passed him a water container. Which took him completely by surprise.
"Oh! Thank yo…FERNANDO?!"
"Hey buddy!" It was indeed the military macaw male, who appeared out of nowhere to give him some water. And he felt completely shocked to see him. "I'm sure you noticed the water supply had been cut off at the church?"
"Yes but…where have you been the last few days? You've been disappearing every morning, and come home late at night?" Tomada replied as he chugged some of the water given to him.
"I've been searching the city to try and get the water supply back on! It's not been easy considering this place is bigger than anything I've seen. But I haven't found any trace of how to get it back."
"Do you think there's a water tower or something nearby?"
"That's where I've been getting the water from! I've been stealing it from The Remainders and bringing it back to the church."
"That was risky thinking." Tomada replied as he felt hydrated after drinking the water.
"Everything is risky when it comes to being here! So, what did I miss?" Fernando asked eagerly, taking the container back from the falcon and putting it away in his bag.
"RDJ and Lila got into another argument after he forgot her birthday…"
"Ouch! That's a big one!"
"Yep! Now his brother is currently on a date with her. And RDJ and Aiden are searching the city for her! But don't worry, I know where they are." Tomada responded confidently and stood back up on his talons.
"She is doing…WHAT?! WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP HER?!" Fernando angrily shouted at him and slapped him on the back of his head.
"I didn't know why?! I've just been told to find RDJ and tell him! But I don't know where he is." He answered honestly while raising his wings up in defence.
"Okay! I know where RDJ and Aiden are because I've seen them in the city! I'll go to find Lila and I'll bring her back with the others! You go to RDJ and Aiden and tell them what's going on! We can't let Fred take Lila!"
"So you agree? That there is clearly something up with that Fred guy?"
"Yes…I believe he is up to no good! But I don't know why? None of this makes any sense." Fernando replied as he quietly turned away from him. "Even his father had no clue about any of the things he didn't see…"
"What?" The falcon heard him say something else, but couldn't make out what he was saying.
"Nothing…Let's just get to work! Who knows what is going on in Fred's mind right now…"
Before We Head To RDJ And Aiden…Let's Check In On Lila And Fred…
"Okay so…how does this work?" The purple eyed female asked her friend sweetly, as he was looking around some of the plants for the best grapes to use.
"We need to find the best grapes to put in the barrel! I got started a week ago, but never really had the time to finish. So if you check those ones over there, I'll check these ones! Remember, the red grapes have to get fully red. No green marks." The blue and gold male pointed to some of the plants on her side.
"Alright! Just tell me if I'm picking the wrong ones…"
"Believe me…with eyes like yours…you'll pick the prettiest ones." Fred turned and winked at the blue female. Who blushed a bright pink and giggled behind her wing.
"Ohh hehehe! Wow…it's been a while since I've been treated this romantically." Lila spoke out loud and picked some of the grapes.
"Hold on…your own husband doesn't treat you romantically?" He asked with curiosity as he gazed into her eyes.
"Well…he tries? But I think this work with your father is getting to his head. And he's putting that first ahead of me…I dunno? Maybe I'm overreacting again! Because he is trying his best."
"Huh…that would explain why he forgot your birthday! Clearly he doesn't care about you. Just like our father never gave a shit about me and my mother…" Fred grumbled angrily and ripped a plant out of the earth and threw it to one side.
"Oh no…Leandro loved Amber and his children? He did all of this to protect you?"
"Well I suppose so? But wouldn't it have been better to be completely honest with us from the beginning? To avoid any of this conflict? I mean…I had plans to marry my wife and live here in peace to hide away from the thugs. But nooooo, some thug had to go and kill her! Even months after I found out that some thug killed both my parents! Ahhhh…must have been terrible for my little brother…all alone after what happened…no family…no friends…nothing!"
"That's not entirely true though? He had two friends named Zeek and Georgia. They had a daughter named Tina, who is currently being raised by my friends Martin and Douglas back home." Lila replied as she saw that he was now getting himself ready to crush some grapes. But just as he turned to the side…Lila's eye caught something a bit different. "Hey? What happened to your shoulder?"
Fred quickly turned to his right shoulder and saw that he had a pretty nasty scar there, and his cloak had a small tear. "Oh this? After my brother punched me in the face, I scraped it on a rock under the sea. Luckily the salt water cleared it up quick enough. But the sewing I did myself." He responded rather quickly…because he was still angry about the argument with RDJ.
"Well, he does have a strong right hook." She did giggle a little…but what was she giggling about?
Fred hovered above one of the barrels and dropped all the grapes in before stomping on them. "Okay, if you just take hold of my wing, you can climb in and we could crush these grapes a lot easier." He cheekily grinned and extended his wing.
"Ummm…you mean like…close together?" Lila answered unsurely as she thought this may have been a step too far considering she did have some issues about it.
"Well, yeah? That's how we are doing this, to crush them quicker!"
"Oh…okay?" The blue female took his wing, and was about to step into the barrel. But before she even got her talon inside…
"LILA!"
The blue female and Fred quickly shot their heads to the right and saw Jacqueline arriving with Andy and Fernando just behind her. All coming from a tree that overlooked the vineyard, with nothing but disappointment on their faces.
"For fuck sake…I can't catch a break!" Fred angrily grumbled to himself as he got out of the barrel and wiped his talons on his cloak to dry them. "Well, isn't it a pleasure to see you guys here…"
"Hmmm, charmed!" Jacqueline sarcastically replied and looked away from the older macaw. Then Jacqueline walked up to her best friend and took her by the wing and began pulling her away from the blue and gold male. "Come on, we're leaving!"
"What?! Why?" Lila angrily replied as she shook her wing away from hers. "I'm hanging out with a friend for our birthdays? What's wrong with that?"
"Yes Jacqueline! What is wrong with that?!" Fred sarcastically emphasised as he wrapped a wing around the blue female. But Jacqueline slapped his wing away from Lila.
"It may be his birthday today, but that doesn't give you the right to hang out with him without your husband knowing?" Andy remarked as he too was pissed off with what Fred was doing with her.
"Who gives a fuck what he thinks?! If he actually had the decency to remember my birthday…"
"He did remember your birthday!" Fernando blurted out to her cutting her off her sentence, even though it was a lie.
"What?! No he didn't!" Lila replied annoyed and crossed her wings at him.
"Yes, he did! He's been talking to me for weeks about planning the perfect birthday surprise for you! And I told him to act like he forgot towards you, so that when you're out of the way he could put the finishing touches together! So he could really surprise you!" The military male lied as he just wanted to get her as far away from Fred as possible. "And besides…I bet Fred here is only using you just to replace his wife…"
"HEY! Lila…you don't have to listen to this…" The older blue and gold male tried to pull her back towards him, but she didn't move a single muscle.
"Hold on…If he really was trying to surprise me…then why did he look nervous when I asked him what he got me?" Lila asked again, feeling like she could be lied to again.
"Because…"
"Because he didn't want to give it away! You know how much he's been trying lately to surprise you? So he thought this whole forgetting but not really forgetting your birthday would be the ultimate surprise!" Jacqueline chimed in on the big fake story. Because she could tell Fernando was making it up to get her away from him.
"Wow…clap clap clap! Did you guys come up with that so soon? You guys really are good actors and actresses! Lila…I believe we were in the middle of something?" Fred unfortunately knew that it was all a lie, and continued to try and turn Lila away from her friends.
"But…I…You…He…" Lila didn't really know what to say, and kept darting her head back and forth between her friends and Fred. Who were trying to convince her to stay with them. And she ended up hearing both of them saying sentences to convince her…
"This is a fun experience, and you get to taste fresh rich wine…" Fred started and extended his wing.
"RDJ is trying to show how good of a husband he is to you…" Fernando spoke next as he made wing gestures for her to follow them.
"If he was such a good husband he would have just been honest with you…" Fred slightly rose his voice and narrowed his eyes at her for some weird reason.
"Fred is only using you!" Jacqueline spoke up and growled angrily at the older male.
"RDJ is terrible to you…" He continued to press on and took a step towards her.
"Fred will never be as good to you as RDJ will be…" Andy told her, as all three of them took a small step towards her.
"Come on Lila, stay…" Fred rose his voice even more…this time a little more demanding.
"Lila! Come with us…" All three of them spoke simultaneously, as it then turned into a back and forth of saying her name.
"Lila…"
"Lila…"
"LILA!"
"LILA!"
"WILL ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The blue female finally had enough of all of this back and forth. And she ended up choosing to go with Fernando, Jacqueline and Andy. "If you guys are really sure about this…then I choose to go with you!"
"What?! But…But…" Fred couldn't believe his luck again, and he was shocked when she chose against him again!
"I'm sorry Fred! But I think it's the right choice to go see my husband! After all…he did put a birthday surprise on for me! Let's go guys!" Lila flapped her wings excitedly and flew away from the vineyard.
"Oooh, better luck next time Freddie boy!" Fernando mocked him with a smirk, and he too joined Lila in the sky, followed by Jacqueline and Andy who also smirked at him before leaving.
Fred watched on as the others left, and his wings began to remake in rage. As once again his efforts to pursue Lila were foiled easily. "Grrrrrrr! I'm never gonna be able to get her with that military macaw constantly on my case…" Fred remarked while narrowing his eyes evilly at the military macaw. "Hmmm…perhaps…The Destroyer might be able to…sort this little setback out…"
The older male flew off in a separate direction to where they were headed. As he went off to find some…certain birds to help him with the next phase of his plan.
What was he planning…
Now We Finally Head To RDJ And Aiden…
The head of the assassins lead the scarlet macaw through the busy streets in the city, which surprisingly was full of birds of different species. Considering the humans were most likely still in bed at the time.
RDJ landed on the roof of a restaurant and overlooked the now damaged and destroyed area, that was outside of the weapons factory he blew up.
"Shit! We've been up and down these streets seven times already! Still no sign of my wife. Do you think she could have been captured?" RDJ asked his newest addition to the team, who didn't really know on how to respond.
"I don't know master. But…I'm sure if we keep looking, we are bound to get a step closer towards finding her." Aiden replied confidently, while sharpening his machete in his wings.
"I really screwed up! My one chance to prove to my wife I'm willing to fix things…and I go and fuck things up!"
(You didn't fuck things up though?)
"Trust me Devine…I am not exactly the best husband right now…"
"But things can change master? I mean, I don't feel any emotions so I don't get what you mean. But I can see that she loves you, and that things could still work out?" Aiden reassured him, as he was feeling a bit more comfortable talking to him.
"Trust me kid, if you were in a relationship…then you would get the feeling I have right now." RDJ replied sternly but calmly, as he just rubbed his forehead in annoyance. "Seriously…I don't know how this day could get any worse…"
KABOOOOOM!
"WHAT THE HELL?!" RDJ and Aiden both simultaneously shouted, as they leapt into the air and flapped their wings as fast as they could to where the big explosion came from.
Both of them zoomed over the buildings that took up most of the city, and they were trying to locate the area where the sound came from.
But just as they thought they would struggle, a female blue throated macaw came flying straight at them with horror in their eyes.
"PLEASE! ASSASSIN! WE NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY!" She screamed in their faces and hovered in mid air next to them. "THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH!"
"What happened miss?!" RDJ demanded and looked a few feet below them. "What was that explosion?!"
"The thug bastards threw Molotov's into my home! Many of our children are still in there! They can't even fly yet!" She cried in fear and her tears were flowing out of her eyes.
"Don't worry! I'll go in there and get them!" Aiden reassured both of them, and shot right towards the burning building.
"WAIT! STOP! KID!" The blue and gold male screamed at his student and followed him to the building. Which was easier for him to fly faster due to fact he was flying downwards. "STOP! I'M ORDERING YOU TO STOP!"
"WE HAVE TO SAVE THEM!" Aiden called out angrily, and without even thinking…he dove right through the window of the burning building. Disappearing into the raging embers that was spreading throughout the area.
"Shit! I knew this was going to go this way!" RDJ spoke to himself in irritation, and landed on the ground outside. "Damnit! Where did those bastards go?"
"RDJ!"
The head of the assassins soon turned around, and was joined by Fernando, Lila, Jacqueline, Andy and Tomada. All of them looked horrified by what they saw.
"What the fuck happened here?! Did you cause another explosion?!" Jacqueline asked as she had to cover her beak to stop herself from choking.
"No! It's The Remainders! Listen, we need to go in there and get as many of those survivors out as possible! Tomada! You take Andy, Fernando and Jacqueline, and head through the broken window Aiden just flew into! I'll take Lila with me through the front door to pat the ones down who have caught fire! GO!" RDJ ordered his team, who quickly nodded their heads and shot straight into action. "Honey, we can talk about how I was a huge asshole for forgetting your birthday later! Right now we have to save these innocent birds!"
"I agree! Let's do this!" Lila quickly replied and nodded her head. As the couple ran up the doors, and RDJ kicked the door down quite easily. As both of them waited for any survivors. "Still playing that he forgot eh? I think I'm gonna like this surprise hehe."
Now Let's Head To Aiden…
"Cough! Cough! HEY! Cough! IS ANYONE ALIVE HERE?!" Aiden panted and wheezed as he was searching the room for any signs of life.
The room around him looked like some kind of recreational centre for birds who were sick or injured. But it appeared to be worn out and abandoned. Worse now considering it was burning into rubble.
"IF ANYONE IS HERE! PLEASE MAKE A SIGN…" Aiden bellowed again, as Devine used one of her tentacles to wrap around his nose to serve as a gas mask.
(There! In the next room! I can hear female voices!)
Devine sensed other presences in the building…but it wasn't the children she was sensing. So that would mean they had to be adolescent macaws.
Aiden slid under a table that was blocking the exit from the room, and he had to crawl through a tight space to get into the hallway. Which wasn't an easy task considering the flames were raging all around him.
"Help us! Cough! Cough! Help us!" Some faint screams were heard from another room opposite of the scarlet macaw. Then he quickly transformed one of his wings into a black tentacle shaped fist.
"STAND BACK! I'M GONNA BREAK THE DOOR DOWN, STAND BACK!" Aiden screamed as he leaned his wing back, and with one strong hit, he broke the door off its hinges and sent it flying to the back of the room.
"Oh thank goodness! We're saved!" A green parakeet called out in relief as she ran up to her hero and hugged him tightly. "Thank you! But you still have to save the children! They're in the basement!" She sadly muttered and covered her face to prevent her choking on the smoke.
"Alright, I'll head down there now, and I'll grab them! My associates will get you out of here!" Aiden reassured them, as he turned around to see Fernando, Tomada, Andy and Jacqueline arriving. "Get these ladies to safety! I'm going to find the kids!"
"What…Cough! Cough!…About you Aiden?! There's no way you could…" Andy replied and helped two females through the tight spaces.
"JUST DO AS I SAY! GO!" He ordered them in determination, and pulled out his machete to head towards the basement.
"Okay! Quickly now! Cough! Cough! Quickly!" Tomada began ushering the five frightened females out of the room and into the hallway. Just so they could make it downstairs and outside to freedom.
All five of them ran out of there in complete terror, with the four samba club team members following them closely behind to support them. Leading them right to RDJ and Lila.
"Quick! Pat the fire off of them!" RDJ spoke quite sternly. As Lila began to put the flames out on the poor terrified females, as they ran outside to regain their oxygen. "Okay, is that all of them?!"
"No! Aiden is still in there!" Andy bellowed in a panic, while tending to two female yellow macaws who were shaking violently in shock.
"SHIT! I told him not to go in there alone!" RDJ grumbled himself and went to head back in there, but Lila quickly latched onto him. "Honey! I'm gonna be right back! I promise!"
"It's too dangerous in there! You're gonna get yourself killed?!" Lila sadly cried out, not wanting to let go of him.
"Just trust me sweetie…" He spun around and kissed her on the beak lovingly, before she let go of him. "I'm coming back! Just stay a few feet back in case of an explosion! Fernando, Tomada, go back to the church and send more of our friends here! Andy, Jacqui, stay here and look after Lila! I'm going in!"
"Yes mentor!" All of them responded, as the falcon and military macaw flew off to their base, and the others remained there to keep an eye on the petrified blue female.
RDJ then pulled his hood further over his head and ran inside the burning building to give the scarlet macaw male some much needed backup.
As Lila saw her husband run inside…she felt a lot of anxiety wash over her. "Please come back out alive…" She muttered, before turning away to help the other women who suffered from the heat in the building.
Just as Tomada and Fernando were flying away quickly, the military macaw male turned to the falcon quickly. "Listen, we will send the others to go and help them! You and me have to do something back at the church!"
"What are we doing?" Tomada pondered as he wasn't aware of him doing a separate task.
"We have to set up the private room upstairs into a romantic scenery for RDJ and Lila! We have to make it look like he was doing this for the last couple of weeks!"
"But that could take forever?! We don't have the time or the equipment to do this?!"
"DD can do it! He is good when it comes to working quickly! Now come on! There isn't a moment to lose…"
A Couple Hundred Yards Away…
Standing on top of what appeared to be a cement truck further down the street. The Destroyer stood there watching this whole scene. And noticed that his number one enemy ran inside the building to help his associate.
He crossed his wings and sighed heavily through his metal helmet, then he turned to his associate Cameron. Who was equally satisfied with the work he had done. "Good job on the fire my friend! Now you know what to do!" The Destroyer spoke in a dark voice, as Cameron nodded his head in agreement.
Finally We Head Back To Aiden…
The scarlet macaw was sprinting down the hallway of the burning building, with Devine using her tentacles to swat objects out of the way to clear a path for him.
(Aiden! The basement!)
"Right!" His eyes averted to a staircase which lead down to the basement floor. He jumped down the gap in between the staircase and glided down to the floor. As he ran down another dark hallway. Which luckily for him, due to Devine's heightened senses, he was able to run down the poorly lit path with no problems at all.
BOOOOM! BOOOOM! BOOOOM!
"Shit! Why are there fucking gas tanks in here?!" Aiden remarked in annoyance as he dodged the small explosions as he ran.
(It's a recreational centre! They need them!)
Devine remarked as they found themselves in front of a glass window that had the words 'Bird Nursery' on top of the wall.
But just as they got to the window…Aiden suddenly stopped running…and his eyes began to widen in horror…because what he just saw…was a living nightmare…
Inside of the room…the entire nursery sadly caught fire…the children that laid in there…sadly were being burned alive…it was already too late to save them…because the fire had got to them too quickly.
"No…" Aiden muttered softly…and he placed a wing on the glass window…showing no signs of emotion…as he watched the poor younglings being burned into an early grave. "…No…I was…too…late!" He muttered the last words darkly…as his body became very still.
(No…No! How is this possible?! There is no way the fire reached them this quickly?!)
Devine sadly muttered herself…as she unlike Aiden…felt incredibly horrified by this sight.
"I…could have saved them…I…wasn't quick enough!" Aiden continued to feel tortured by this sight…and he closed his eyes tightly…feeling nothing inside of him.
(Aiden…you did your best? You couldn't have predicted this…)
Devine tried her best to reassure him…but nothing was getting through to him.
(Aiden?)
Suddenly…Aidan's breathing began to get very heavy…and he clenched his wings tightly into fists.
(Aiden talk to me! What's going on?!)
His breathing got heavier…and heavier…to the point it became very intense. His body was violently shaking. His beak began to snarl as his eyes closed even tighter.
"Kid?"
RDJ arrived on the scene…and he looked through the same glass that Aiden looked through…and his eyes looked away quickly. As he felt an incredible amount of pain in his heart. "Kid…get away from there…you shouldn't be seeing this…"
"It's too late…I've already seen it…" Aiden's voice suddenly became very deep and dark. Sounded very mysterious how his voice got so deep. "My name is not kid…It's AIDEN!"
Aiden's eyes suddenly shot wide open and his eyes suddenly turned a very bright red. And his beak turned into a vicious snarl…almost as if he had this…feral rage?
"Aiden…this is not you…this…"
"YOU DON'T KNOW ME! YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF!" Aiden growled in complete rage, and ended up flying upwards and blasting through the ceiling like it was made of paper.
"Shit…it's like I'm dealing with my past self?" RDJ sighed heavily, as he flew up through the hole that Aiden created to get outside of the building.
Now we have come to the end of this chapter dear readers! We have seen a lot in this one haven't we? Yet again Fred's plans to seduce Lila suffered another setback. RDJ and Aiden's search was delayed by the burning building. Keith and Monifa had a slight moment of electricity between them…but Monifa ran away for some weird reason? Fernando explained why he was up every morning and back late every night. Now Aiden's body had completely changed after seeing all of those children sadly burning alive! So much to do…so little time!
