Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Inky Hearts. Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.

Chimon cleared his throat and continued to trace his pen over the notepad in front of him. Chimon continued to draw the bird he had started to create 10 minutes ago.

"No, the contours are off, damn it…" Chimon muttered as he twirled the pen through his fingers. "Why do I ALWAYS screw up the wings?" Chimon asked himself and sighed before putting the cap back on his pen.

He started to flip through the notebook in front of him. Every single picture he created was good, but Chimon wanted them to be better. He put at least an hour into every single creation in the book he created.

He sighed and snapped the notebook closed. Chimon was going to gym gamma with the others, anyway. He hoped practicing his quirk would clear his head… At the very least? He wouldn't have to worry about messing things up when it came down to it.

Chimon looked around the room, he wasn't surprised not many people talked to him. He wasn't great at opening conversations… But he did, however, wish to be part of them. He cleared his throat and was interrupted with a familiar voice.

"Oh, nice drawings! Did you use pens or quills!? How long do those take!? What do you usually draw!?" Nejire questioned which caused Chimon to jump from the unexpected appearance.

'Why did I forget the big three would be here today!? Damn it, I forgot to jot down what classes we had today!' Chimon mentally screeched to himself as his mind rapid fire scrolled through her questions.

"Both, 1 hour for each, animals! Sorry for yelling!" Chimon said as he fumbled to try and catch his notebook before it dropped.

Chimon cursed himself for raising his voice. He shook his head and rested his head in his palm. He was quite curious as to what training would commence.

If Nejire was off put by his tone? She didn't say anything. Chimon buried his head in his notebook and waited for training to begin.

At least he'd be able to enjoy that. Chimon wanted nothing more then to bring his creations to life, it would be fun to spread his wings in his own mind.

(Several minutes later)

Chimon watched the falcon drawing he had made. It still looked off, but then again? His standards were insanely high when it came to his own creations when it came down to it. He cleared his throat and flew it around the room. His eyes turned from orange to a very vibrant purple as he activated his quirk.

Chimon was glad his quirk didn't require him to stand still, he'd be at a massive disadvantage if he had to stand still. The bird flew around the gym. Chimon heard Nejire gasp as she realized who Chimon was.

"OH MY GOD, YOUR AQUATINT!" Nejire yelled which caused him to lose concentration.

The inky falcon collapsed; its wings ripped apart as it smashed into the wall. Chimon watched the blot of ink as it slid down the wall. Chimon watched the inky blob slowly dripped down the bricks.

He hummed and focused as the ink reformed into the hawk which began to soar around the room. Chimon directed the hawk back towards him. Chimon felt the talons of the creature wrap around his arm.

Chimon turned to be greeted by Nejire who was a few centimeters from his face. He was quite startled but he was also quite curious. Nejire smiled as the ink made hawk leaned down towards the girl.

"Yeah… I am…" Chimon stated which caused him to stretch at the back of his head. "Down, girl… Sorry, I meant the hawk. I wanted to name her, but I never made a name for the sketching I made." Chimon muttered as he sighed and rubbed his chin.

He was quite curious what Nejire wanted as he raised an eyebrow. Chimon grabbed at his neck for a moment and then nodded. He sighed to himself and rubbed at his temples.

"I'm happy you got your provisional hero license; it's going to be awesome with heroes all over the street!" Nejire stated which caused most of the other students to look at them.

"And I'm glad that you liked my quirk. It's not as easy to use as I'm making it look." Chimon responded as the hawk upon his shoulder let out a shriek. "That took me 3 months to make it do, by the way… I'm starting to wonder why I wanted to make it do that." Chimon stated before looking at the 'bird' sitting on his shoulder.

He focused on transforming the animal into another shape. Nejire was greeted by the animal slowly but surely expanded and molded itself into a star.

"It's a lot easier to do when I have it already drawn up, but it's not that impossible." Chimon stated as he dropped his conversation. The star collapsed into a web of ink. "It's fun, I just wish I had… More control, I guess." Chimon said and hummed.

He was bemused that he wasn't busy falling apart at the moment. Chimon sighed and rubbed at his temples, a result of not being able to sleep much from last night.

It didn't seem to be something that Nejire suffered from which caused him to blink...

"We should train like the last time that Mirio fought you guys!" Nejire stated which caused Chimon to mentally curse.
