Obtaining The Second Key – Part 2
Now things are starting to get a bit tense now. The Destroyer is planning to send some men to the church to kill off whoever is there and to take Lila from them! But will that be the only thing he's going to do? RDJ is now chasing down the thug group leader after running away from his troops. Alex, Keith and Monifa will have to catch up to him after fighting off The Remainders in the cave. Also, Aiden and Allie will be spending some more time together whilst he shows her how to parkour across the buildings. So much in stall for you, so let's get to it my friends!
We Start With Aiden And Allie…
Aiden was stood right on the left hand side of the building, looking down into the gap of houses in the centre. Trying to find a good place to teach his friend how to parkour.
Allie stood next to him very excited, and was in the middle of stretching her wings and talons to prep for her first lesson.
"Okay…so I take it you have seen free running before?" The scarlet male asked her calmly, focusing on the route he was going to take her down.
"No? What's free running?"
"Free running is what humans do to climb buildings without any equipment or any modifications etc. In other and more simpler terms, parkour!" He smiled at her, crouching down to get a better indication on what he wants to show her. "Parkour isn't always about speed and thinking. Sometimes it's about just doing what feels natural to you! However, it does require a bit of upper body strength. Which of course I feel like you don't have any issues with that…"
"Oh? What makes you think that?" Allie cocked her head to the side, placing a wing on her hip.
"Are you kidding me? The way you dealt with that shark to get it away from our mentor? That took intelligence as well as strength!" He complimented her sweetly, causing her to blush a little behind her wing. "Anyway, let's first start with the basics! Let's start with a simple roll!"
"Oh? Like…this?" Allie bent over and did a simple forward roll on the roof, and jumped up to her feet. But afterwards she did feel a little thump on her back. "Ow! That's a little rough."
"Ahhh, you see. You don't want to roll over like that, because you could severely damage your spine. When you're jumping in between objects you must learn how to roll safely without injuring yourself! For example…" Aiden took a few steps backwards and then began sprinting towards the chimney. He hopped on top of it and landed on the roof, before doing a diagonal roll using his shoulder on the roof. Therefore not injuring himself and landing safely. "See, it's always about using your body and letting your body do the talking! Now you try!"
"Oh…okay." The pink female was a little nervous about trying it, but there was a part of her that wanted to impress him. So she swallowed the nerves in her throat and stood in the same place he started at. Then picked up a bit of speed when running, she hopped on top of the chimney and performed the diagonal roll that Aiden showed her. Absolutely nailing it! "Huaaa..did you see that?! I did it! I did it!"
"Very good! It took me a week to perfect that! And it only took you one try? You are full of surprises aren't you?" Aiden chuckled and turned away from her…silently cursing at why he said that. Weirdly…he actually felt really strange after seeing this…that very strange sick feeling in his stomach. Was it something he ate? "What is going on with me?"
"Ummm…aren't you going to show me a second one?" Allie snapped him out of his thoughts by snapping her wingtips, and he quickly shook his head to get back to reality.
"Oh! Right! So…because you mastered rolling already. I'm gonna teach you something a little more challenging!" The scarlet male continued to smile at her, giving his talons one final stretch.
"Great! What will you teach me now?"
"Okay…so as you may have guessed, concentration is a huge must when it comes to parkour. So I'm going to skip a few levels and go straight into the safety vault!" Aiden spoke as he looked at what appeared to be a small wall that was sticking out of the roof. "Watch, then try to reciprocate what I do!"
He got down on one knee to prepare for the manoeuvre, but just before he set off. Devine decided to make a little joke.
(Down on one knee already? You gonna ask her to marry you?)
"SHUT…UP!" Aiden angrily growled in annoyance. However this did make Allie giggle when she said this, not feeling offended at all by the joke. "Anyway, here we go!"
Aiden began sprinting up to the wall and just before he ran into it, he used one wing to place down on top of the roof and jumped up on top of it using the talon opposite to his wing. Jumping over the wall safely.
"Okay, now your turn!" He called out to her. Waiting patiently for her to copy exactly what he did.
"Alright…let's do this!" Allie got down on one knee herself and instantly began sprinting up towards him. Then using one wing she did exactly what he did, and did the safety vault perfectly over the wall. However she did stumble a little on the landing, and Aiden caught her before she fell down.
"Woah, are you okay?" He asked her in concern, holding her lightly by the waist.
She didn't respond straight away…because just as she was caught by the fairly strong scarlet macaw. She immediately locked eye contact with him. With Aiden gazing deeply into her eyes in return.
For one split moment…both of them felt that strange warm feeling in their chests when he held onto her waist. And she had both of her wings lightly on his chest.
"Ummm…hehehe…you ummm…have…nice eyes." Allie blushed heavily, staring deeply into his eyes.
"And you ummm…have…beautiful eyes too." The male scarlet macaw replied anxiously…feeling his heartbeat speed up quicker than usual.
After this little awkward moment…Aiden backed away from her and cleared his throat to shake off what happened. "Well…ughhh…I guess we should…move onto the last move?"
"Oh…okay…" She sadly mumbled, as yet again he just wanted to remove himself from the situation. Overthinking that he didn't like being that close to her. "So…what will we do now?"
"Right…so ummm…I'm gonna show you how to do wall running!" Aiden carried on trying to distract himself from that moment. "So you have to run up to the wall, try and use your talons to push off of the wall as you run. Then try and pull yourself up on the ledge when finishing the run. Like so!"
Aiden narrowed his eyes and rapidly ran towards the wall, then without even trying he ran across the wall and hopped on top of a ledge and easily pulled himself up. Then he turned around and sat on the edge of the roof.
"Okay! Now you try!" Aiden encouraged her as he opened his wings up.
Allie walked over to peer over the edge…but for her this was very nerve racking for her. "I…can't! It's too far! I'll fall and hurt myself!"
"You won't! I promise, I'll catch you!" Aiden called out as he continued to have his wings open.
"I…I don't wanna fall and hurt myself!" She replied in fear, noticing how far the drop was over the edge of the roof.
"Do you trust me Allie?!"
"I do trust you!"
"I will catch you if you fall! Just take a deep breath…focus on your breathing. Feel the surface of the wall touch your talons! And as you run across, push off from the side to keep running!" Aiden lowered his voice gradually to try and soothe her.
"O-Okay?" Allie gulped nervously and narrowed her eyes towards the roof. Then without even thinking about it…she ran straight towards the walls and immediately tried to parkour across them. But unfortunately for her, she took one step wrong and she started to lose balance. "Ohh…shit…AIDEN!"
"ALLIE!" Aiden panicked and tried to grab her with his wing, but he didn't manage to reach for her. And she ended up crashing straight through a window on the second floor. Much to his shock for her safety. "ALLIE!"
He grabbed the ledge with his wings and managed to swing straight through the now open space in the window. Landing in what appeared to be a very dark apartment.
"Owwww! My head!" The pink female moaned in pain, rubbing the top of her head as she felt a bit sore.
"Allie! Oh my goodness, are you okay?!" He ran up to her and checked her for any injuries. "Oh no, you have a slight cut on your thigh."
"Oh no! I hope it isn't too noticeable?!" Allie shifted her thigh to the side so that he could have a look at it. "Does it look okay?!"
Unfortunately for her friend, he didn't answer her for some reason…because when she showed him her thigh…he just glued his eyes to it. With his jaw opening a little bit…feeling a very…tingly sensation in his abdomen.
"Well?! How does it look?" The pink female asked impatiently, really worried about her appearance.
"It actually looks quite sexy…" He spoke without even realising what he was saying.
"Huh?" She replied with a weird look.
"Nothing!" Aiden quickly corrected himself…trying not to say anything stupid. "I mean…ummm…it looks fine! I don't think it's that noticeable. Especially the butt region, it still looks pretty good."
"My butt?" Allie rose her eyebrow, giving him a very amused look.
"Shit!" Aiden cursed in his mind again, mentally slapping himself. "I mean…I think…you look fine! And luckily your butt hasn't got any cuts! Not that I was looking?! I mean I was looking…CHECKING! I was checking you out…NO NOT CHECKING YOU OUT…CHECKING FOR INJURIES!" He kept on correcting himself in a panic and turned away to hide his uncontrollable blush.
"Hehehe Well…if you wanna check me out, then I'm okay with that too!" Allie giggled playfully and gave him a slight bump with her hips.
"Yeah well…hang on a minute!" The scarlet male had a little look at something on the top shelf that caught his eye immediately. So he decided to fly up there to investigate. "What is that?"
"What is what?" Allie asked as she followed him up to the shelves. But once both of them got up there. They were absolutely amazed by what they saw.
"Woah!" Both of them spoke at the same time.
There right in front of them…was a huge weapons cache. Full of guns, flares, machetes, Molotovs, even grenades! It was clearly owned by The Remainders.
"Allie…do you know what this is?!" Aiden spoke in awe while lifting up lids of containers. "It's a weapons cache! We hit the jackpot!"
"I suppose so? But…how are we going to get all of this back to the church?" The pink female asked while inspecting a large harpoon gun.
"Oh no, we aren't going to carry this back to the church! We are gonna destroy them!"
"What?! But we could do with these weapons?"
"We only need to take what we can get! Just, have a little wander around and try to find something that you could use! Then I'll find something of use to me, then we will dispose of the rest!" Aiden replied as he picked up a fuel keg. And began throwing some of it on top of the cargo in the room. "Are you gonna help me?"
"I might see if there is a slingshot or something? I'll see you back here in a moment!" Allie replied and went to check around the corner.
"Well then…looks like I'll have to do this myself." He thought to himself with a chuckle, trying to cover as much of the cargo with the gasoline as he could.
Now Let's Check In On RDJ…
The head of the assassins continued his pursuit of the fleeing thug, after already taking care of the rest of his group.
He was literally just behind him, dead straight on target since he was using his intelligence and agility to dodge through short cuts and tight spaces to get closer to his target.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" The thug shouted in fear as he cut what appeared to be a rope which was holding a giant wooden beam up. It collapsed down in front of him and nearly knocked him over.
"Shit! You crafty little prick!" RDJ chuckled as he swerved around it just about, continuing with the chase. "I'm only here for the key! Now let's just slow down and talk about this huh?"
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" He screamed in fear as he threw a knife at a bag full of sand and it started to pour right out of the bag. Causing the head of the assassins to end up having sand thrown on top of him…which clearly made him a lot angrier.
"GRRRRRR! I HATE SAND!" RDJ picked up the pace vigorously and was only a few seconds away from catching him.
This thug had no chance of escaping…
"NO! NO NO! FLY FASTER! FLY FASTER! FLY…ACKKKKKAAAAAAaaaaaa…" Suddenly, when he least expected it…a spear came out from in front of him and struck him right in the forehead. The head if the assassins wasn't expecting such a turn of events in the chase.
"What the…" RDJ responded very strangely. The spear was nowhere near where he was flying, but he was shocked to see it come out of nowhere.
Pretty soon, Keith, Monifa and Alex and flying around the corner with several bruises and cuts from where they had been clearly beaten by some of The Remainders.
"Oh! It's you guys! Are you okay?" RDJ approached his student first to check for any injuries.
"We're fine buddy! We managed to defeat all of them back there after Alex tossed a grenade back at a guard who tried to kill us. He blew up a gas tank and killed all of them! He is awesome!" Keith praised his friend and patted him on the shoulder.
"Yeah well…The important thing is that we are all safe! Now…let's go find that key!" Alex beamed as he walked ahead of the group, while RDJ just smiled at him.
"Yes sir!" He replied sarcastically in amusement and follows him closely. Leaving Keith and Monifa just behind to walk together.
The male barn owl and African grey macaw female strolled slowly side by side whilst continuing their search. And there was a slight silence between the two…because they were having quite a few thoughts on their mind. And they didn't quite know how to express how they were feeling about it.
"So…" Monifa decided to break the silence between the two, and Keith turned to face her. "You were…ummm…pretty incredible with that throw!"
"Th-Thank you! I ummm…learned that from Donkor." He replied awkwardly, twiddling his wingtips together.
"Yeah…I heard Donkor was a good fighter when he was younger. I wish I could have seen it…"
"Well…if it makes you feel any better? I think the head of the royal guards right now is…far much better than I was." Keith smiled at her warmly and patted her on the back.
Monifa blushed a little, feeling flattered by the compliment. But…she did hold back for a second…and the barn owl thought he may have gone too far.
"I…I'm sorry if I offended you? I was…you see…"
"No you didn't offend me Keith…it's just…I haven't had compliments from a guy since…well…my last boyfriend." Monifa sadly replied, lowering her head to look away from him.
"Oh…I…I see…Do you wanna…talk about…" Keith tried to hear her story, but she was just too scared to admit it right now.
"Not…today, okay? Let's just…Let's just find the second key." The female flapped her wings and flew away from the barn owl. Who remained at the back of the group…wondering what was so painful about her past.
"Oh god…I didn't want to upset her? What's…What's happening to me? I haven't spoken to anybody like this since…since Siax…"
Now Let's Check Back In On Aiden And Allie…
Allie strolled around piles of crates to find something useful for her to use in combat. She didn't quite agree with Aiden to burn and destroy all of the weapons. Especially since the assassins could do with most of this equipment.
But of course on the other wing, these weapons do belong to The Remainders, so it's more of a safety precaution if anything.
"Let's see here…" The pink female crouched down to a chest full of different melee weapons of all shapes and sizes. She was particularly looking to find either a slingshot, or a mini crossbow. Because those were weapons her mother used to train her to use when living in Columbia. "Okay…machete? Too obvious. Boomerang? No, I'd most likely get hit in the face on the return. Ummmm…haha! There we are!"
Allie picked up what appeared to be a metal handled slingshot, with a really strong rubber sling which looked really effective. But of course with some modifications she could improve the effectiveness of the weapon.
"Oooh, I like it! Im definitely keeping this!" Allie thought to herself and put it in her holster. But just as she was about to turn around…suddenly a pair of wings grabbed her from behind and covered her beak to prevent her from screaming. "MMMMMMM! MMMMMMMM!"
"Well helllo sugar ass! What were you doing trying to steal from us?" A very creepy military macaw sinisterly asked her, before dragging her away from the weapons. "Lionel! Pick up her talons!"
"Hehehe! We are gonna have some fun with this one!" The other military macaw who revealed to be named Lionel dragged her away with his associate. With her struggling to escape, with Aiden completely unaware of what's happening right now.
Speaking of which…
"Okay…I think I covered all the weapons! Now I better find something for me in some of these cases before setting it all on…"
"AIDEN!"
"ALLIE?! ALLIE!" The scarlet male didn't get to finish his sentence because he hears his friend screaming at the top of her lungs in fear. "WHERE ARE YOU?!" He screamed as he ran around the corner to see that nobody was standing there. "ALLIE?!"
"AIDEN! HELP ME!" Allie screamed again in fear, as he heard the screams coming from the back room.
"HOLD ON! I'M…" Aiden paused briefly for a moment…as he was gazing at a certain weapon locked up in a case on the wall. With what appeared to be quite a few boxes of items around the bottom of it. He knew exactly what were in those boxes…and he knew what that weapon was. "Yeah…now we're talking!"
Meanwhile…we briefly cut back to Allie, who was still struggling to get out of the strong grip that the military macaw male had her in.
He punched her in the face to stop her from moving, and threw her down on what appeared to be a large bed in the middle of the room.
"W-W-What are you gonna do to me?" Allie shivered, completely petrified of the two Remainders.
"We…are gonna have some fun! You…are gonna lay down…shut up…and take it!" One of them sinisterly spoke, as he grabbed her by the throat and shoved her roughly on the bed. With the other one holding her down from behind her. Gripping her breasts with his wings, which made her ten times more terrified than ever.
"AIDEN!" She screamed again, before one of them punched her in the face again. Making her spit out a little saliva.
"Nobody is coming for you sweetheart!" He spoke in that same dark tone, as he started by kissing her thighs. Moving his wings around her waist and butt. As she couldn't hold back her tears, whilst the other macaw began laughing and squeezing her breasts harder. "Now…prepare…for your mind…to be blown away…"
"Funny? I was about to say the same thing!"
Both of The Remainders spun around quickly towards the voice that had entered the room. And much to their surprise…Aiden was standing in the doorway with a big pump shotgun in his wings. As he narrowed his eyes towards the duo that attempted to mount his friend.
"Oh fu…"
BOOOOM!
Aiden fired the shotgun at the bird who was holding Allie down on the bed, blowing his brains right out of his skull. Making his body fall lifeless over the back of the bed.
"SHIT! I'M OUTTA HERE!" The other one who tried to mount her quickly tried to make a fly for it. But Aiden saw this coming and pumped the used shell out of the gun, and aimed it at the back of his neck.
BOOOOM!
He fired the second shot directly at the back of the other one's neck. Sending the now lifeless corpse flying into the wall. Splatting into the wall head first…as he flopped over fist on his face. As a pool of blood began to leak all over the floor.
"Nobody messes with my friends!" Aiden whispered darkly, before pumping the shotgun again and putting the safety back on. As he dropped the gun on the floor and ran over to the pink female to check on her. "Allie! Oh my god! Are you okay?!"
Instead of answering straight away, both of them tightly hugged each other after she shot up from the bed. And she buried her head in his chest feathers, as he rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Oh my god! Don't ever scare me like that again! I don't know what I would have done if something happened to you!" Aiden whispered in her ear, stroking her back in a comforting manner.
"They…They tried to rape me Aiden! I was so scared! I was s-s-so scared!" Allie whimpered with a little stutter, as she continued to dampen his chest feathers with her stream of tears. "Thank you for rescuing me! Again!"
"It's okay! The important thing is that you are safe! And that is all I care about!" He whispered again, holding her a little closer to him.
After at least a minute of hugging each other closely…both of them felt a small sigh of relaxation when being with each other so closely.
The two of them very slowly looked up towards each other…once again locking eyes in a really powerful way.
Aiden's heartbeat began to speed up a little bit…and a very warm and tingly sensation hit his lower abdomen…he wasn't sure what was happening right now.
As did Allie's heartbeat sped up. She had nervous butterflies in her stomach when being so close to him. There was only one thing on her mind right now when gazing deeply into her eyes. And she was really hoping that he would reciprocate the same thought.
As their powerful gazes began to get more deep…both of them gradually began to move their beaks closer towards each other.
Aiden for some reason didn't hold back…even though so many thoughts and feelings were rushing through his mind. But as he moved even closer to her…fe felt his eyelids close a little bit.
Allie herself began to feel rather excited…and as their beaks were so close to touching…she began to close her eyes passionately as they moved closer and closer together.
But just as their beaks were only millimetres away from even grazing each other's…
"THERE! I HEARD THE GUNSHOTS FROM IN HERE!"
Both Allie and Aiden snapped out of their trance and jumped up on their feet at the sound of what was indeed a thug's voice. And the scarlet male had to think of a plan quickly to get them out of this mess.
"Shit! They are closing in on us?! What are we gonna do Aiden?!" Allie hid behind her friend in fear..as he tried to find a solution to their problem.
"Hold on! Hold on!" He tried to reassure her, darting his eyes around the room for a way out. But then an idea crept into his mind, and he picked up the shotgun and ran over to a closed window. "Allie! Over here!"
She ran over to him and held onto him tightly while listening to his plan.
"I'm gonna smash this window!"
"But they'll hear us!"
"Oh well! Better than being silent and dead!" Aiden quickly replied and smashed the window with the back of his shotgun. Clearing the glass away from the edges to make it easier and safer to fly out of.
"WHO'S THERE?!" One of them bellowed, as the duo heard multiple birds approaching the room they were in.
"Quick! Let's go! Let's go!" Aiden allows the pink macaw female to fly out of the window first, and a couple seconds later he followed her outside. Luckily managing to escape from the building without being spotted.
"Okay! Okay! Let's just…go back to the church and alert the others!" Allie tried to fly ahead and lead him back to base. But he had another idea on his mind first…
He quickly pulled a match out of his holster and flew over to the window that Allie first crashed into when doing the parkour with him.
"Pssst! Aiden?! What the fuck are you doing?!" She waited on a ledge for him of another building…completely confused by his idea.
He struck the match on the wall to set it alight…then without even giving it a second though…he threw the match into the open window and set the gasoline alight. Burning everything that was in that building.
"GO GO GO GO! FLY! FLY!" Aiden screamed at his friend, shooting off into the air.
Allie didn't argue and flew alongside him at the same vigorous pace. They flew so fast that they felt like they were travelling at light speed.
Once they got a good distance away from the building with the remainders inside…
KABOOOOOM!
The entire second floor of that building exploded like a huge firecracker that went off at a New Years Eve party. Clearly killing every Remainder that was in that room…and the best part about it was the fact all of the weapons and cargo that were in there were now completely destroyed.
"WOAHHH! HOLY SHIT! I thought you only covered the weapons?!" Allie shouted while admiring the huge explosion from the building. As the two of them managed to get away without being spotted.
"Oh no, I also positioned all the gas tanks in a straight line for a bigger impact! Don't forget there were grenades and C4's in there as well! It wouldn't be a big explosion without the help of some explosives right?" Aiden chuckled in amusement when also admiring the work he had just done. "I'm sure RDJ will be very pleased to know what we've just accomplished!"
"Yeah…that was…really something!" The pink female replied while sharing a small laugh with him. Looking at him sweetly, slowing down in the process to take it easy for a short duration of their trip back. "Listen…ummm…can we land for a second? I wanna…I wanna tell you something…important."
"Oh…sure! That large greenhouse looks like a good place to rest!" Aiden replied warmly, and descended softly to where he was pointing.
Both of them nodded their heads and decided to land safely on top of the greenhouse that Aiden had pointed out. They wiped the sweat from their foreheads, and recomposed themselves after the rush of excitement.
"So? What did you want to tell me?" Aiden asked her kindly, while leaning up against the glass tiles that covered the top.
"Ummm…actually…you might want to sit down for this?" Allie for some reason started to act really shy about what she was going to tell him. And he clearly noticed her change in behaviour.
"Oh…sure? Was it something I did wrong?" The scarlet male sat down on the roof, and Allie sat opposite of him. Smiling dreamily into his eyes.
"Nothing at all Aiden! It's just…there's ummm…see here's the thing…"
"Yes?" Aiden leaned in a little closer to hear her speak. Quite concerned about her well being.
"Aiden…these past few days with you have been…the most incredible days that I have ever had! And I wouldn't change it for anything." The pink female started off quite nicely, brushing a wingtip up against his wing. Causing him to cock his head sideways curiously.
"Yeah…I'd say they have been pretty great for me too! You've been an incredible friend who I trust so dearly. If it weren't for how well you've treated me how you should be treated, with respect, I wouldn't have had the confidence to trust the others in the same way."
"See that's great and all you thinking of me like that…but…" Allie only paused for a brief moment because of what she wanted to get off her chest. But it was t easy for her.
"But?" He asked again with a smile, trying to carefully listen to what she was going to say next.
"But…lately…I've been feeling a little…differently about…you?" Allie responded, as her heartbeat began to speed up again. Now she was trembling with a small wave of anxiety.
"Differently? Oh no…I did do something wrong didn't I? Oh fuck! Why do I do these stupid things?!" He slapped his forehead in frustration. But before he went to do it a second time, Allie quickly grasped his wing and looked deeply into his eyes.
"No Aiden…What I mean by differently is…I'm…I'm…"
"You're…what?"
"Aiden…I'm…I'm…in love with you…" The pink female finally expressed how she was feeling about the scarlet male. And she smiled at him with a really dreamy smile.
"You…You…You are…what?" He couldn't believe what he was hearing right now. Aiden stood up on his talons and backed away a few paces. Now he was the one who was feeling shy and anxious in front of her. So much that he too began shivering.
"I've fallen in love with you Aiden. I'm sorry if this is a bit strange and sudden! But…I just couldn't hold it in anymore!"
The scarlet male slowly turned away from her to try and process this new development. Because this was so weird how this had happened so soon. He didn't know if he was ready for such commitments. "How…Ughhh…How long have you felt this way?"
"About a few days?"
"A…f-few d-d-days?! But…But…"
"Aiden…Aiden listen to me!" The pink female lifted his head up with both of her wings. Still showing her beautiful smile, while he just gave her nothing but a straight face. "I understand that this is something you don't usually do? But…I just wanted you to know how I truly feel about you! We only live once, so I thought I'd just tell you! But please don't feel like anything has to change between us."
"It's…It's not that I…I mean, not that I couldn't…or…I-I am a little overwhelmed right now! I…I'm gonna go and meet the others at the exit of the tomb. Meet you at the church later?"
Suddenly, the scarlet male flapped his wings and flew away from Allie very strangely. Causing her to feel quite…upset by their conversation.
"Oh god! Now I've scared him away! I knew I shouldn't have told him how I feel!" Allie sadly cried and wiped away a few tears as she flapped her wings and headed back for the base. With streams of tears running down her cheeks…after a conversation she was now silently regretting having.
Finally…We Head Back To RDJ…
Briefly after the samba club team met up again after the events with The Remainders, finally they made it into the secret burial chambers. Trying to find out which passage would lead them to the second key.
"Great! Another decision we have to make down here?! It could be any one of these!" Monifa spoke up really annoyed, crossing her wings.
"Don't worry, I'm sure RDJ knows which one to take? Right buddy?" Alex asked one of his closest friends, patting him on the shoulder.
But unfortunately for the snowy owl male…he didn't hear a word that he had just said…because all of a sudden, he clenched his head in pain again. After hearing the same voice in his head that he had heard from the previous cave. "No…AHHHH…Not again…"
"NO! DON'T YOU DARE TAKE MY SON FROM ME! YOU BASTARD!"
"What?! No…Who..Is…that!" RDJ kept panting as he slowly began to walk straight towards the right hand passageway. "Who…Who are you?!"
"Mentor? What's…" Alex tried to speak, but Monifa quickly shushed him with her wingtip. Letting her master use his instincts to find the correct door.
"WE WILL HUNT YOU, AND YOUR FAMILY DOWN FOREVER LEANDRO! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS! YOU…WILL…PAY!"
"AHHHHHHHH! GET OUT OF MY…HEAD!" As soon as he bellowed the last word, he punched the wall right next to where the hidden door was. And just like the last one…it immediately fell backwards away from the wall. Revealing the secret entrance into the second secret room.
All three of his associates looked at each other in disbelief. But instead of asking about how he did it, they decided it probably was best not to ask him.
Once RDJ regained his concentration back, he shook his head to snap out of his thoughts. Then he hopped right through the hole in the wall, and walked with ease up towards the podium where the second key was just sitting there ready for the taking.
"Finally…now we are almost halfway done!" The blue and gold male beamed as he picked up the key from the podium. After a short little examination of the ancient artefact, he put it away in his arrow bag and tried to search for an exit. "Guys, get in here!"
Alex, Monifa and Keith all followed him inside the secret room, and looked at him in concern.
"Well don't just stand there! Let's go already!" RDJ angrily muttered and he pulled on what looked like a lever.
Soon a trap door had opened up where the podium stood, revealing another slide that clearly looked like an exit route.
"Master? Are you okay?" Keith softly asked as he went to see what the problem was. But instead of answering him, he just looked over his shoulder and nodded his head silently. Sliding right down the dark tunnel. "Dude, what's going on with that guy?"
"Oh no…he must have heard that voice again?" Monifa suggested, sighing into her wing.
"What voice?"
"It doesn't matter! I'll tell you all when we get back to base!" Monifa replied as she was next to slide down.
Then Alex of course just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible and slid down thirdly.
As for Keith himself, he managed slide down lastly, before the trap door closed behind them.
The second key was now in their possession…
I know right?! What a fully interesting chapter Huh?! Aiden blowing up The Remainders weapons cache? That will definitely put a bigger dent into The Destroyer's takeover plans! RDJ finally manages to acquire the second key…but it's that same voice in his head? Who was that voice speaking? Not only that…Allie has now expressed her love for her good friend Aiden…but his response wasn't exactly how she would have wanted. But why did he act so scared when hearing it? What is Aiden so scared of? Who knows?! But I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter because in the next one, more trouble will be brewing with our samba club friends! See you all soon for the next one!
